The owner Kevin did not take his time and my nails were so ugly & lumpy but I decided to just ignore it and go one about my day. My gel polish started chipping off and lifting not even an hour after my appointment. I went back and the owner Kevin started to actually yell at me and was blaming me for his awful work. He refused to fix it and sat me at another woman’s station I asked for her to just take them off (which he wanted to charge me for which was fine) he did not want to let me get them redone which I was willing to pay for the services I was asking for. So I just paid for the removal and left. Overall the OWNER KEVIN was very unprofessional and rude but the staff was apologetic and sweet. I’ve gotten my nails done by other women on his staff and they were beautiful but I just can’t support a business where the actual owner treats his customers that way.

Awful!!! I had a white lady who was so unprofessional and gave me the worst nails I have had in 5 years. I literally wanted to just walk out. I will never go there again. Like they are horrendous. Super chunky. I’m going to another nail salon right after leaving this place- waste of money

Went to get my nails trimmed down and the tech left them very sharp (not even slightly smooth) at the tips for a coffin nail. The polish is not smooth with a bunch of little indentions in 4 of my nails. When she removed the previous color, she left a lot that is visible on the sides of my nails.

I just went in for a service and the manager turned me away because I didnt want to do a full pedicure service. Only two customers in there and they have three more hours left of operations. He said they arent closing early and declined to serve me.Worse service ever!

The girl who did my pedicure was really nice...but the pedicure itself left something to be desired. I got the pedicure jan 4 2020 and the polish on all my toes is dull like its missing the top coat and the polish on 2 of my toes has already popped off. Maybe it was just a fluke but Ive always got gel polish pedicures at other places in other towns Ive lived and theyve lasted a month or more.Update: I only have 1 toe with polish still hanging on. I swear cant do anything but laugh.

I came in to get a full set and mom wanted a manicure but they took way to long to get to her so she decided not to get a manicure. When I got my nails done I thought they were ok until I got out of the salon and my mom looked at them and said you can tell he rushed it. Then when I got in the car I looked at both of my thumbs and the left one was crooked and uneven.Update: it’s been 6 days and my nail broke while I was at work.

I called today at 12:46 and scheduled a 2:30 appointment only to be told when I got there at 2:20 that I didn’t have an appointment. The owner didn’t try to accommodate me or apologize!!! Very unprofessional!! Will NEVER go there again or refer anyone there!!

There are a few techs who do a really good job. We arrived at 615 630 and the man ( I guess he is the owner) told my friend she couldnt get her nails done because it would be to long after her pedicure. He waited until she was half way through her feet so say anything. He was chasing around these two white girls feeding them and giving them wine. He hasnt offered none of the ethnic customers anything. He could have started her nails while she was getting her pedicure. He was very unprofessional we will not be coming back.

My daughter and I got manicures and pedicures. The place is very clean and the girls that helped us were great! They had a steady stream of customers and worked quickly but did not make us feel rushed at all. I highly recommend this place.

They charge way to much for the quality of work and service they offer. I got the basic pedicure with gel, that was $47 The girl did an ok job but the my nail polish wasnt touched up properly. My friends both got the same mani and pedi deal but one paid $3 more than the other. They also didnt clean up the nail polish around the corners for one of my friends. Country music is on when you walk in the door. Not very soothing music when your trying to have a spa day. The staff however were really nice and sweet, but the boss man is little bit controlling. Overall this was not a good experience for me.Update. Both my friends gel polish came off in three days. Not good quality work for the price.

I will never go here again. When I initially sat in the chair to receive my pedicure the girl went over the prices of the pedicures they offered. I chose the $29 pedicure only to be told at the register my pedicure was $47. She then tells me all the additional charges at the end. The manager didn’t even try to explain why I wasn’t told this up front. He only came up front because the cashier pressed the wrong button which would cause him to lose money. This was very bad business and I would never recommend this place to anybody.

Its a NO for me! My nails started to lift the next day after getting them done for a occasion I had to attend to in Raleigh, I had to buy nail glue to stop the lifting. 2-3 days later all my nails were lifting. For the price I paid for the full set, lifting should have not occurred so soon.This is a nice and clean nail salon and if I ever decided to return it will only be for a pedicure, she did do a great job on that.

Environment was clean and inviting upon entering salon. Haley(I believe was her name) welcomed me with excitement and made sure they knew exactly what I wanted immediately. Stephanie helped me pick the perfect colors from my picture I picked out and Kevin left me speechless. I will definitely return and recommend to everyone I know. Best nail salon experience yet and I haven’t even mentioned that they served the coldest beverages(beer) ever!

I went to get my nails done today. I have come here for the past 3 years and never had an issue. Kevin did my nails today, and not only was the nail job uneven in length and paint coverage, he changed the price. I have always paid $38 for a full set with gel polish, he told me today it was $39. I also asked for change for a $10 bill, I asked for a 5 and the rest in ones (so i could tip). He then proceeded to hand me $5, then only $1 and said I could give him $40 for the rest. I am very disappointed that he thought it was okay to choose how much of a tip he got, when the service wasn’t even great to begin with. He has lost my business and I will not be coming back. Very disrespectful. If I ask for change, I expect my full $10 in change. That is my money and it is not his decision to decide how much he “deserves.” I would not have left a $6 tip and do not want this to happen to anyone else.

I don’t know the guys name. But he did such an amazing job. He took his time and made sure they looked good. I got a fill in. This will definitely be my go to nail place.

AV Salon raises the bar for professionalism and customer service. The talents and expertise of the manicurists is easily visible in their finished product! Absolutely loved this place! Went with my friends and we got there around closing time and each did mani-pedi’s and service was fantastic! Nobody rushed and took their time and gave focus to detail. Kevin the owner was super nice and accommodating to us and the other nail techs were super nice and great! I don’t understand these reviews about people being rude; everyone was absolutely wonderful and they have the best prices I’ve seen for nail services! Definitely plan to come back and definitely recommend!

This is my go-to nail place, and my girlfriends and I love it here! Everyone is always super nice, its clean, and just a great atmosphere. This nail salon is under new management and Im very impressed with what they have to offer.First and foremost, the place is squeaky clean. They even have disposable liners in the pedicure bowls so that you dont risk contracting germs from the last person. I have never seen that at any nail spa Ive been to. The waiting area, the floors, the tables, and even the restroom are just sparkling, and thats the first thing I look for when I am getting my nails done.Second, the service is friendly and fast. I hate waiting, and Ive been here twice and never had to wait. At all.Third, the technicians are super competent and friendly. In particular I want to commend Stephanie on giving one heck of a pedicure. I have gotten pedicures from her twice, and she is very thorough and gentle.Fourth, the nails.... maybe this should be first? The nails are AWESOME. Very well done, shaped as you want them. My first fill with this shop grew in and still looked good after three weeks of growth. The second fill I got (yesterday) looks amazing. The nails do not lift or peel up. Very sturdy, very well-done.Fifth and finally.... they serve you a beer or wine while youre receiving your services. This is so nice and relaxing!I HIGHLY recommend this nail spa.

Do not waste your time going to this nail salon. My nails were overpriced for what I was given, my nails were shaped like trapezoids and looked like 8$ press on nails. Not to mention it took forever for them to finish. Some very nice people but overall unsatisfied with my experience.

The new location of AV nails is absolutely stunning and makes you feel like a queen. I love Hally & Kevin and have been going here for years and will never leave them! Seriously the best in town and Ive been everywhere in Greenville. And they have great student discounts too which really helps. I am getting a fill in today and my nails are all in great shape and I have had them for 4 weeks now. They really care about their customers and always listen to your needs and go above and beyond. I cannot rave enough about how awesome this place is. Not to mention the wine selection. Best nail place in town hands down.

This is the first time Ive been there and gotta say, I loved it there! They were very kind and took care of my nails, as well as made sure that they didnt hurt me or my fingers. Gentle and did a good job!

I was transferred down to Greenville, NC from my job in Charlotte. I read some of the reviews, and decided to give AV nails a try. I must say, very impressed. Kevin, was my nail tech, and made me feel right at home. Very friendly, and made every costumer laugh while they were waiting or being pampered by another tech. He did an amazing job on my nails ( even patient with me while I decided on 5 different colors for my nails) Very fast, gentle, and detailed work. Definitely will be returning as many times as I can before I head back to Charlotte in a couple of months. Five stars all day!!!

Great experience here! I’ve tried almost every nail salon in Greenville and their atmosphere and quality of service is the best yet! Kevin was my technician, very friendly and offered me a glass of wine or beer. Also got my lip waxed and the young lady seemed very experienced and did an intricate job. Very well pleased :)

The owner Kevin is the rudest! Stephanie is phenomenal and needs to go somewhere or open her own salon! Ive been going for over a year now and keep saying how rude he is but continued to go because Stephanie rocks! Well today was it. I called to make an appointment for this afternoon with Stephanie which is what she told me to do..nope she busy no take appointment on weekend!

The girls that work there are wonderful very polite I love it when they engage in conversation with you asking how are you? Etc. The manager however, is rude very sarcastic the way he talks to them is uncalled for. Example: one of the girls thought the whirl pool on the massage chair wasnt working so she said to him are you aware its not working, the girl next to her said its not plugged in. In front of everyone he says to her check before you ask me that was unnecessary if you ever go there just listen to how he talks to them very unprofessional (kevin) they are employees not pets. Its a way to address situations in front of clients is not one of them.

The staff was very nice over all but i was cut in two separate places while getting my nails done. i told the lady that she was hurting me and she did not stop and instead told me to stop moving my hand. she was violently filing at my nail and made me bleed in these two areas.

Kevin was very nice, greeted us at the door, and made jokes that made the experience worth while. He takes time and is careful with your nails, would recommend. Also, the prices were very fair, and the inside of the nail salon was beautiful. Very happy with my nails and my experience there.

First time at AV Nails & Spa. Had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. Went on a lunch break and was able to get in and out and back to work in an hour. Very pleased with how pretty my nails look.

I don’t get out much but when I do it’s nice to be able to come to such a relaxed environment. AV Nails & Spa on tenth street is the place to go! A true spa like experience with relaxing music playing and they serve beer and wine when you get a manicure pedicure . The workers were so nice not only to us customers but to each other as well I will be coming back

I just had a horrible experience somewhere right before hand with my eyebrows. I explained my situation and Stephanie fixed it right away for me. She listened and took her time and made me feel really comfortable explaining what she had to do. This is definitely a place to get your eyebrows done.

Stephanie is great with my eyebrows. They are thick and she never takes too much off.OVERALL, I would NOT recommend this place. Customer service is terrible (no greeting upon entry). Kevin is THE RUDEST to his employees which makes you, as the customer, feel ill. He’s more concerned with money than customer satisfaction. I was there yesterday for a fill-in and a nail chipped the next day.

So I came to Annas nails on tenth st. theyre under new ownership it is now Av nails & spa. I was very impressed the workers were very nice everything was clean and customer service was awesome. And they serve wine and beer. I will be coming back again. Make sure you go check them out you wont be disappointed!

Nails broke two days after getting them done so I went to repair for 5 dollars. The next day another one broke so when I called the owner asking if this could be fixed. Kevin, the owner, explained to me that “it isn’t his problem” and that they don’t charge for repairs within 4 days. Which wasnt the case for me literally just the day before. Due to lack of professionalism, clarity of policy, and rudeness. I would highly suggest avoiding this place.

I am not going back to both AV Nails; owners attitude and business attics is lacking; Ive 18 reward points, 2 points shy of $10 off, Kevin decided to discontinue the reward system. He had been rude to me previously.

This was my first visit here. I had a manicure and pedicure done. The staff was pleasant and attentive. My nails turned out great and I was pleased with the overall experience.

Ive never had to wait. Everyone is friendly and knows what theyre doing. The only reason they dont get 5 stars is because Ive never been able to get a design.

From the time I walked in until the time I walked out I was treated with respect and not one time did the lady that was doing my pedicure get on the phone she stayed focused on me as her client the setting in the salon is great you actually are comfortable with your surrounding, Id definitely give them the best review theyre amazing every staff member treated me as I was one of theyre family member !!!! Loved this place! They are amazing at what they do. This place has a very classy feel and the staff is incredibly friendly!

The salon is setup nicely but quality was awful. The owner makes you feel rushed and had an argument in front of myself and another customer. My nails look terrible. The clear coat on top of my SNS peeled off and the finish is rough and it has only been 24 hours.

So excited to have this new location on 10th Street! AV Nails has consistent service and quality of work! The staff make you feel welcome and provide great customer service. They really care for their clients, you will leave with beautiful nails each visit!!

I am in love with my nails and the man who did them was incredibly friendly and welcoming!! Also got a great price for my acrylic fill in, especially for the amount of care that was given to my nails.

Wont be back...asked for Eyebrow wax and Pedicure...after completing pedicure suddenly they didnt have time. Really felt like I was set aside because I was not a regular. Pedicure actually hurt my toes and they were sore the next day. Oh well...Take my business to one of many others.

I scheduled an appointment, showed up on time and still had to wait 45 minutes to be seen. The owner was EXTREMELY RUDE on TWO separate a occasions. The first being the day of my appointment. There were customers that walked in after me that we immediately taken care of. There was a $10 price change when I actually got to the chair because apparently ombré nail fill in cost extra? Well I could’ve saved my $40 because only a day later a nail began cracking where my nail bed is. The next day I went to the AV nail shop on E 10th street (where I originally went) and was told the owner, who did my nails, was at the other shop so I drove all the way to Arlington blvd to get the nail fixed. By now my nail is cracked fully through and I’m in pain, also another nail was starting to crack where my fill in was also. When I asked the owner to fix the nail CAN YOU BELIEVE she told me it cracked where the person BEFORE her did my nails and I would have to be charged because she felt the ombré nails weren’t completely her work. She rudely talked over me the entire time claiming it’s not her fault but because I got ombré nails. It is now 30 minutes later, and another nail has broken off! Remember it’s only been 2 DAYS. Also, she told me herself to write this review just in case you needed a judgement on her character ladies this woman does not deserve any of your money. Customer service is not practiced here and I feel really bad for her 10th street AV nail staff because for her not to work their daily, she’s openly rude to them and not respectful of the relationship they have with their own customers because they’re expected to do what she wants when she wants them to. An example being, while I was on that almost hour wait to be seen, the owner finished up with a customer and had one of her employees GET UP from their client to check her client out. Simply rude! Never again and I will be reposting this any chance I get!
