I love the apartment space and location, the office personal i like to think they are good people, we just moved in a month and 1/2 ago and found a really bad infestations of bugs which no one in the office mentioned anything to us, and still dealing with that. The office personal did tell us you are in luck your apartment was completely renovated, new carpet and painted but that was all the renovation we find.My family and I were homeless and did not see or inspect the apt prior to moving in, we just needed to move in fast. they are working with pets control but we are far from be done with it.
I got my lawyer looking into them. All they want is money. And they eviction me and they didnt suppose to. Ill see them in court
Terrible living experience, very rude and dishonest office staff. insect infested property....STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this property they will lie and do anything to get money from you when it is time to move out. I do not recommend living here AT ALL!!!!!! I would give it a zero rating if I could
The staff has been extremely nice and helpful through the leasing process. The apartment was clean and in fantastic shape for being an older unit. Maintenance was really friendly and fixed my lock in a timely manner. There are plenty of lights throughout the complex, which helps me feel safe at night. Im extremely happy.
DO NOT RECOMMEND! I’ve moved in this apartment last August and my air conditioning has been broken FOUR times since March, it’s only June, I will not be renewing my lease in July. I spoke to property manager Jody and she assured me the last time this would never happen again. The last time I went without air for 2 days. I put in my request yesterday and no one has been here yet. This place is trash plus there’s always police, gun shots, and a couple downstairs always screaming at each other
Do not recommend you live here. My friend stayed here for a year and nothing got fixed, he left several messages. AC always messed up we had to buy fans and keep our windows open cause they didn’t come to fix it. They have roaches that they never came to fix we end up having to get spray cause we found out another resident was the cause of them. One of our cabinets was broke since we moved in. Our bathroom sink was leaking they never came to fix it. No need to try and call cause they don’t answer or call back.
So far it’s great and the people are great. The beginning process was super easy and they made sure to help me every step of the way. Especially Gloria in the office. She is the absolute best. I’m sure I’m going to love living here.
I will not be renewing my lease here. The apartment themselves aren’t that bad (except that mine smelled like cigarettes really bad when I first moved in), but most of the time I can’t even find a parking spot in front of my building and that’s what I have the biggest issue with. I believe that each apartment should have one spot designated for that apartment. I shouldn’t have to park two buildings down when I’m paying over $800 for rent. I’m also constantly hearing people run up and down the stairs and it is extremely loud.
Not worth what you pay. I have been waiting months for them to fix water damaged walls. Maintenance half do the job and then closes out work orders. I called about possible mold on the walls it was pretty much ignored.
I enjoy living here. But I hate getting deliveres. There are no signs showing where the apartment buildings are so I always have to walk people through how to get to my building. As much as I pay in rent, thats the least yall can do.
The show apartment is much nicer than what I actually moved into. These apartments work if you’re on a tight budget, but I’d go somewhere else if you can. Most apartments are not renovated and really old. I put a maintenance request in for my sink leaking, and they fixed the sink but not the cabinet where the water leaked onto. At time of move out, they said I owed additional money for that cabinet. Once I explained what happened, I was told they would call me back about the cleaning fee. I have been trying to get the move out bill settled for a month now. Never received a callback until this week just to be informed they had another reason why they were charging me for a “cleaning fee”, which was a spot on the counter and apparently two bags of ice in the freezer. The office staff is nice, but I asked for a direct call from the manager and I guess she was too busy to address something with someone who faithfully paid rent and cleaned out the apartment for a year. Overall move in if you have to but do more looking if you can. I moved in because I only had one weekend to travel to Greenville and find an apartment. Would not move back.
Wonderful experience... staff is amazing, great location.. quiet neighborhood. Affordable and accommodating. I have most definitely enjoyed my stay here.
Make sure you read the fine print they will charge you $560 bucks just to replace their dingy carpet. Take plenty of pictures when you first move in because they will say anything. I do not recommend for anybody. Plus my dog was attacked at that dog park. The weak gate ain’t stopping even the smallest of the dogs from getting out or in.
This place is a complete package. Residents are friendly, staff is always willing to help, and the i dont hear much noise. The children are respectful to everyone. The gym is always clean. the pool is also very clean and really is open year around. I am blessed to have such a wonderful home.
Im a relatively new resident that moved for a job not knowing this area. Since Ive been here ive seen police raid the buildings 3 THREE TRES times. There was literally a swat team here last week making arrests. They let anyone move in. Also ROACHES, theyre all outside and inside the buildings. At first Id just see one and and there. Now its a daily occurrence when I see the little critters. They charge all kinds of little fees so the rent isnt as low as it appears. Gloria is nice, but otherwise staff is lackluster. Ive put in maintenance requests that were closed as completed that they never came or contacted me to complete. Then have the nerve to send a email survey. Theres others in this apartment price range dont move here...unless youre a drug dealer cause apparently this is where all the druggies come. Oh forget that, youll get BUSTED!
This is, by far, the worst apartment complex I’ve lived in since residing in the city of Greenville. I would not recommend anyone move here. Truly, there are better places for you to live where the staff who work in the office are more patient, where the maintenance is better attended, where your packages won’t get stolen and where there isn’t a bug infestation on first arrival. There are just better places to live.
I haven’t officially moved in yet, but just wanted to thank Gloria and Andrew for making everything so smooth. From the day I walked in to inquire about an apartment and view a 2br Gloria has been nothing but welcoming and pleasant to work with. Looking forward to the upcoming years to come, Thanks guys.
WORST APT I’VE EVER BEEN IN !!!!! At first everything seem cool then they stop replying . They barely fix things, the walls ARE SOOOOOO THIN l can hear my neighbor talking . Definitely no privacy! Rent to high here for the type of customer service you’ll receive from the office . I’ll advise you NOT to move here it’s definitely not worth it ! And they just reopen the pool but haven’t had it clean !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not make this place your next home. I leased a apartment from this company and everything started off great UNTIL the unit above me had a pipe burst and it flooded my apartment. The only person that was trying to help me was the maintenance manager. As far as the leasing office, NOTHING! Then I had to remove all of my belongings replace a sofa and bed due to damage. I was told it could take SEVERAL WEEKS for the apartment to be back to normal. I called the leasing office and with it being during the holidays I got no one. I moved and now there saying I owe them close to $1000 bucks. NEVER LEASE FROM THEM!!!
Awesome place to live. Half basement but so comfortable. Nobody disappointed I sure.People are kind and friendly. Come to here for lease. Good place to reach Greenville.
I love this community because its close to my job and school. also close to dining restaurants and the mall. The staff are great with requests. Price is affordable for this locations. I would definitely would recommend this community to a friend.
We have been here less than 6 months and really enjoy it here. Had a heat problem and the man was here less than 10 minutes. The office staff has always been nice and helpful.
I moved in back in September and I will be moving out shortly. I have had roaches & fruit fly (infestation) since I moved in and they are finally gone after 3 times of the exterminator coming out. The breeze way smells of weed & my new neighbors are extremely loud.I am also moving because they filed an eviction, due to none payment of rent, but I paid the rent before they were to file eviction. they said they cancelled the eviction due to them having accepted my payment and having all evidence that it was paid by the appointed date. However it has not been rescinded by the magistrates office. My ultimate reason for moving is safety. I had an attempted break in and I heard either a gun shot or an explosion the other evening. I do not ultimately feel safe living in this neighborhood and although I did drive by during the day and evening before moving once I moved in it was completely unacceptable. The office staff is great, they are responsive and professional & they are nice people. They cant really control the people who live there, only up to a certain extent. I just dont feel safe here any longer.
We have been here about five years and I would have to say this is the best rental experience I have ever had. The property manager Jodi is awesome she is always will to help if you have any questions about anything. The property is well maintained. Maintenance staff is always very friendly when they come to the apartment. I would recommend on finding ur new home here.
The complex is close to downtown and both 385 and I85. New updates on security. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The apartments are pet friendly as well so you can bring your fur babies alone.
Shalia is such a breath of fresh air! I went with my son today to see an apartment, and we had such a great experience with her. Her energy was awesome, and she answered all of our questions in detail which was really helpful. Thank you Shalia!
Great community.. Spacious apartments.. Helpful staff.. Phenomenal amenities.. Overall a wonderful community to live in and convenient access to highway
My opinion the staff is wonderful ...I had a crazy situation come up with our app process they stayed on the phone took time and got it taken care of. Great Customer service that alone made us want to become a part of there community . GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE you guys
Overall nice place rent has gotten to be extremely high. Amenties are not up to par. The older units are outdated. The property managers are excellent though. Seems like now they rent to anyone.
Shalia is great. I had some unforeseen issues come up and she was great at working with me. Highly recommend calling and speaking with them today about theses great apartments!
Im a property manager (so Im picky), but Ive had a wonderful experience living at Stonesthrow! The apartments are older but very well-maintained, the staff is friendly, and the amenities are clean and inviting. Best of all, these apartments are convenient to literally everything - food, shopping, downtown, etc. Im considering staying at Stonesthrow indefinitely - love it here!
I am very pleased with the courtesy of the maintenance guy as well and the property manager who when over and beyond to help me through this transition and move-in process. Great place to live!
Been so great so far getting things fixed and looked at. Everyone is so friendly! And the grounds are well taken care of
Me and my daughter moved in February of this year ... nice sized two bed two bath ! The office is pretty good with getting everything fixed . I only gave it 4 starts bc the kitchen could be updated as far as the stoves and the loud neighbors ! Other wise I would recommend these apartments!
Figured I would wait a bit before making a review to let my experience here sink in and not do an emotional review. Overall it was one of the worst apartments Ive ever stayed in.Moved here during the middle of the summer last year and during my first two nights I had an AC that was non-functional. Ended up sleeping on the porch because it was cooler outside than it was inside. Included a photo of the temperature inside and it actually capped out at 94 that first night. Took until my 3rd night there before they fixed the problem and if memory serves right the fix didnt work and I had to call them out again.Expect roaches and stray cats. Most nights if I went outside I would find roaches crawling on the walls inside and outside the entrance way. This went on for several weeks before it was ever resolved. I feel like one of the reasons is because the trash cans were dumped so infrequent sometimes that they were overflowing. Strays cats constantly roamed the property and I came out several times to find several cats sitting on my car leaving several scratches. As others have mentioned as well. Expect the breezeways to reek of weed and cigarettes especially if you are in a unit that is closed in and not an open breezeway. Had to call the cops multiple times due to people blasting music in the parking lot or having parties after midnight during a work week. One of my calls were due to someone trying to get into my apartment while I was at home.I had an upgraded unit and I will give them credit some where they did a good job upgrading the units but due to the over experience I dont feel like the high rent cost made up for it. Currently live in an apartment that is nearly twice the size with a quieter/cleaner community for the same price point. If I ever move back to Greenville SC I would avoid this place like the plague and I suggest others do as well.
I honestly enjoyed living at Stonesthow, the management was very friendly. I lived there with my cousin for four years and had no real issues. Great place to live in my opinion.
Management is great! The property is always well kept and the maintenance team responds quickly !!
Its sad that I even have to give this place a 1 star. This place doesnt even deserve that. I say no stars. I liked nothing about this place. The staff is terrible with the exception of one lady. Theyre is always crime happening within the apartments (people getting shot and robbery) its happened at least 6-7 times since Ive been here on a 10 month lease including my own apartment. Even though you have to pass a background check, it seems as if that doesnt matter. The appliances are out dated. They love to try and charge you for anything (like having your shoes on your back porch) but will let other neighbors have grills/patio furniture (which is not allowed within these apartments). if youre reading this thinking about moving in, I will warn you DO NOT MOVE IN HERE.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! They dont care about anything but you paying the rent and their cigarettes. Especially the property manager Jody. We had a flood in our apartment and it took them over a month to get everything squared away. With the mold and carpet having a bad odor. She didnt even want to come out her office to even talk to us about cutting our rent down for what we had to go through with everything. Also when the heat went out. Instead of them coming out to get it done. They have you run your emergency heat until they get ready to come fix it. I can go on and on with the laundry room and etc. but there is no need. They are also over priced. Its not worth it at all. Just stay away from Stonesthrow!!!!
The worst apartments ever in Greenville. Steer far I mean far away unless you like rude and unprofessional staff. The property manager is burnt out and doesnt care. With all that happened there and we told the management time and they laughed it off. When new people where moving in they made fun of them when they left. Air conditioner froze twice and the second time the maintenance guy said well we may not fix it today and dont forget its the middle of summer. Pittbull bit me square in the arm and have marks and bleed really bad and my dog has bites from this dog and reported to the office and they laughed it off like it wasnt any problem. I could list problems on and on but best thing is stay far I mean far away from this place.
THE WORST APARTMENTS EVER!!BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE OUT BECAUSE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR EVERYTHING AND NOT TELL YOU THERES A REMAINING BALANCE!!! DEFINITELY MAKING A CLAIM WITH BBB!!
It would be great if they answer the ducking phone once in a while. They have no problems leaving notes in your door but will not answer the dann phone!!!!I am extremely sad to say, I have my car in the parking lot and sadly it is having some mechanical problem so instead they are having it towed. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
The maintenance men (especially sammy!) makes this place so much better, Anytime We have had any issues they have been very timely and good interaction.Though, the apartments themselves are not great, I also seen they are raising prices this next year, So We will be saying goodbye. Was an okay apartment for the price/ location. Now It would not be worth it in my opinion.Never had any troubles besides our building not having enough parking spaces. The apartment on its own could use some help but for the current price, its worth the location and privacy.
Dont give a damn and inflexible management that quotes attractive race but hides a lot of charges that are add-ons. If you pay one day after the 5th of the month upay $75 late fee then get evicted if you dont pay by the 12th of the month. And guess what ? Ya have to go to Walmart to pay then!If youre missing that good ol jugular popping stress in your life move here . I cant stress that enough.
Lots of traffic - crazy hill if you wanted to walk to convenience store. I did make friends (just pictures) of a white squirell!
Listen to the other reviews because they are completely true! No matter how bad you need a place or how close this is to your school or work DO NOT I repeat DO NOT move here. This place is ridiculously overprice and the staff is horrible. So much crime going on out here its sad. Someone in my building even had bed bugs and they had to come spray mines now what if it was too late i bet they wouldnt even have replace my bed. One of the maintenance men came in one day saying he needed to check my windowscarrying no tools even tho they had already been checked the previous week and I swear my watch walked out with him. And the manger Jody had nothing to say, wouldnt you think they had a list of apts that had already been done. She is a chain smoking slum lord. This place seriously needs new management. And when it was time to renew the lease they was going to go up on my rent for what ?? No improvements had even been made to the place, if anything it had gotten worst! Please future renters read these comments do your research do get stuck in a crappy situation. If your going to rent at least do it somewhere that you will be comfortable and enjoy living. It let your hard earned money go down the drain.
Stonesthrow management should stop harassing residents/family members. Last week they put a note on my vehicle that my vehicle will be towed the next day so my wife had to park the car out of Stonesthrow apartments. Management should be made aware that SC state rules state that residents have 45 days to register vehicles from outside SC state. I have checked with DMV.This week they have stuck a note on the new car door that it blocking other cars, which is totally wrong .The vehicle being new I had kept it in an isolated place where residents very often park cars .I am a resident of Stonesthrow for more than 4 years .This is very disturbing . They will be responsible for any damage to the new car.Management needs to stop harassing residents/family members & apologize.
The WORST apartment and management in the business and I have been an apartment manager for 9 years. They penny pinch every little thing. They take a months rent up front even when you start in the middle of the month, then you pay the prorated amount the following month which indicates that many people must leave shortly after moving in. If you are late with rent they charge a 75 dollar late fee and make you pay a 100 additional eviction charge. They will not take a check, money order, credit card payment, or online payment after the 6th of the month even though you paid for your current month. If you call the corporate office its an answering service, they call you back in 24 hours. Then they wonder why they have a large turnover rate. BRUTALLY HORRIBLE PLACE, stay away!!!!!!
At first I was very excited about my move in to stonesthrow, coming from aston woods where I was paying almost $400 more for rent. When I moved in the place, the apartment was not very clean, walls FILTHY, floor and tub dirty. The wooden stairs and entrance in front of my apartment door had had garbage sitting on it for weeks before my move in and the wooden floor was greasy and filthy and had flies and roaches eating the left over garbage, which I requested to have cleaned, but it was never cleaned. I, of course, wrote that on my move in sheet. The building that I lived in was infested with wild cats. We had about 10 cats and kittens that were constantly in hallway, stairs, and parking lot.I LET THESE THINGS SLIDE AND DID NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE MOVE IN CONDITION because there were many things about stonesthrow that over shadowed the dirty move in, like the kind office staff (Jolee), the indoor heated pool, the large apartment for the affordable price. As time went on, things changed. I had to haggle and ARGUE with maintenance and the office to get the mildew taken care of under my kitchen sink. It took 4 visits from maintenance to get it removed because they swore there was no mildew there. The office staff changed to uninformed and/or rude/uncaring staff (Jolee and another nice lady left). My old and outdated stove (like you would find in public housing) broke several times.BUT STILL, with all this, I was constantly RECOMMENDING stonesthrow to people around town who were looking for a large and affordable apartment.Near and at my lease end date is when the complex earned a negative star rating. The rent went up $100 for a year lease. This, I observed, is to pay for the renovations of other apartments. With great caution, I thoroughly scrubbed the apartment clean before I left, which we all know is rough when you are moving. I was determined to not get charged for a cleaning fee. I cleaned the oven twice and scrubbed the stove catch pans super clean.Lo and behold, I got charged a $50 cleaning fee, on top of a $50 carpet cleaning fee, which I was expecting. I called the office to dispute it and was told that maintenance assessed the apartment and they said the apartment, oven racks, and stove catch pans were dirty. All that is a LIE, and $50 out of my pocket for stove catch pans?????? that cost $10 retail, probably $4 for bulk purchases.I asked to have it reviewed and was told I would get a call back, 3 weeks ago. Still no call.I am saddened that it had to end this way with stonesthrow as we started out so well.I do not suggest that anyone move here. Read reviews, and not just the ones with 5 stars that have no dialogue, as that is probably management posting those reviews. If you see multiple bad reviews like mine, move on. Pay a little more or opt for a little smaller place where you will be treated respectfully and fairly and your business ($$$$) will be appreciated.9/29 update - have not heard from management regarding the review of the cleaning fee......UPDATE, I received an electricity bill for a months time after I moved out for $58. The office will not take my phone calls or respond to my emails regarding this. Basically, I am paying the electricity bill for the office or the new tenant. So I am still paying for an apartment I no longer live in.
I moved here about a year ago from Grove Station Apartments and it was great! (A little backstory: we moved across the country from Oregon with little money about a year ago to the cheapest place we could find. I.e. grove station; We then moved to Stonesthrow Apartments) The staff was friendly and the apartment complex had a lot of attributes: indoor and outdoor pool, gym, dog park. And the prices were reasonably affordable. But as time passed we kept on experiencing many maintenance issues. One of which is a continued issue. My apartment keeps getting flooded. This has happened at least four times since we’ve lived here and many of my neighbors have experienced the same issue. The first few times I accepted it without complaint because I assumed they would fix the problem but as the occurrences continued I became less optimistic. After the last flooding the people who came in to put fans down and clean up the damage didn’t dry the carpets completely and we were left with a foul odor in the apartment for months. We attributed it to the two cats we had and that maybe they were the issue but it was the corner of the apartment where the water was left to sit that attributed to the smell. I then let maintenance know and they seemed to have fixed the issue by cutting out that section of carpet and replacing it—which worked for a while...until another flood happened. It just made the problem worse and once the carpets were dry again we decided to pay for someone to come out to clean the carpets. ( by this time we had already talked to the staff about wanting to move out of Stonesthrow Apartments because of this reoccurring issue. They informed us that we would have to pay quite a bit of money in order to do that. So.. we stayed) Anyhow.. the carpet guys cleaned the carpets and it made the smell come out even more. I then approached the staff and asked if we can replace the entire carpet in the dining area as per suggestion from the carpet cleaner guys. Stonesthrow Apartments informed me that I would have to pay for half of it for them to do that. So I’d be paying $200 for linoleum for us. I agreed; my lease was for another six months and I was tired of not having company over because of the smell. Even if it is a waste of money it was still worth it for me to not be embarrassed of where I lived. I grew up poor. Where the carpets were so dirty that we couldn’t wear white socks in the house. And I pay $1000 a month to live close to Greenville, work, and live the life of a 20 year old. I hate confrontation but as I write this—at 2:05am on a Saturday night—my toes lie off the bed because they are dirty from the water on the floor. My apartment is once again flooded and I’m just tired of having another thing to worry about. This is also my first review that I’ve ever posted. 🎂 I don’t normally look at reviews for apartments but from now on I will! I hope that this message is read and that Stonesthrow decides to make a change in how they handle problems with residents.
We have been here for 2 years now and i have never felt unsafe here my boyfriend is a otr truck driver and really only home on the weekends me and my girls stay by ourselfs and no one ever messes with us. Yes i have had a few maitness problems but nothing that the office manager jody didnt have them come fix right away. I do like it here the best thing they have going for kids is the inside pool the play ground does suck and the kids here need somewhere to play but for me and my kids we just pack up and go 4 mins down the rode to the park. You live mins from all kinds of shopping areas so over all its not a bad place to live. Office staff is really nice. The office manager jody is extremely nice and has alerted her maitness staff if i call in the middle of the night cause of my air they have to come when i call due to my youngest child having asthma. Witch puts me at easy.
This place is full of animals. From the WYFF news site-6:59 PM EDT Mar 20, 2016Police respond to vehicle fire at hospital, find stabbing victimGREENVILLE. S.C. —The Greenville Police Department said it is investigated a stabbing that took place on Sunday afternoon at the Stonesthrow Apartments on Century Circle.Officials said they were called to a vehicle fire outside the St. Francis Health System emergency room just after 3 p.m. When police arrived they learned a man had been stabbed and a friend was driving the man to the hospital when the car overheated and caught fire. The man was reportedly stabbed during a dispute with his girlfriend at the Stonethrow Apartments, officials said.Officials said the mans injuries are non-life-threatening and the case is still under investigation.
The ABSOLUTELY WORST PLACE I EVER STAYED!!! First the rent for a ONE-BEDROOM is ($650) a month, not worth out at all! So, so many cats run around your door. The Second thing i dont like is, how you put in a maintenance request, they go ahead and get a key to open your house up if you not there, i rather be home so i can see what they doing. You cant grill on your porch if you want too, Pools are dirty. We stay on the first floor, so it floods so bad on our porch, to the point where we cant have no outside furniture etc.....in the bedroom when it rains, water comes underneath the carpet and wets half the rooms floor by the window. There is NO 👎 CLUBHOUSE were you can watch tv, get on computer or even chill. Please save your money cause this place is not WORTH it at all, even though its close to downtown......find a different place to move to!!
Awful place to live unless you enjoy being woken up at 1am to people screaming at each other outside. Dont bother calling police they will not come.
Walks are VERY THIN ! You hear everything from the neighbors playing theyre loud music to them simply coughing & sneezing .
I will not recommend this place at all. The rear window of my car was hit into pieces by someone last month and yesterday, somebody hit my car front part and run away. What worse is a guy was murdered here last December!!!! I guess all these contributes its cheap rent not just the old facilities. Fortunately, I will move out this week.
I was looking for a new cheaper apartment. These had a few more amenities but less space plus other drawbacks.
Broken into twice, they dont return my voicemails, and have no appreciation or respect for their tenants.DO NOT MOVE HERE, OVERPRICED AND HORRIBLY RUN
Great place and great people
Roof leaks from tub above and they dont care that nasty water is in my shower DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
My first apartment and had the worst experience. I will never suggest this place to anyone.
Very clean and quiet
Nice apartments

Good place to live
