I have had all my clothes altered with Elizabeth for over 10 years. This year I was blessed to have her alter my wedding dresses and create a custom madeveil for my dress. One of my dresses she had to remake due to me getting pregnant unexpectedly and I could not return the gown. The other dress didn’t fit anymore and she added a corset amongst other things so that I could still fit my dress on my wedding day! It came out BEAUTIFULLY and I am so glad that o trusted her throughout this process! Thank you for saving the day Elizabeth and always giving EXCEPTIONAL customer service! Elizabeth does beautiful work! I made my own wedding dress a few years ago and it didnt fit quite right (store bought patterns never do fit right). I took it to her and she worked with me until it was perfect! It fit like a dream. She has also helped me with other projects and her work is amazing! I highly recommend her for any alterations/sewing projects you have.

I bought my wedding dress from her boutique. They have beautiful dresses! Absolutely do not use them for alterations! I paid alot of money to her only to have to take it somewhere else! She had my dress for 3 months. I realized after taking it to another place there were several things that were not right costing me another $300. Fortunately for me, my dress was fixed!

Horrible experience! Said she would have wedding dress altered and each time I would go pick it up she would have nothing done. I do not live super close to Greensboro so I had to drive 45 minutes each time. I was supposed to pick dress up the week before bridal portraits, when I showed up, she had nothing done and I had to go back the next day (the morning of my portraits) to pick up the dress. Later she was supposed to add sleeves to dress and told me to come back in 2 weeks. When I went back to pick it up on the date she said.. 2 weeks before my wedding ..she hadnt touched it again! I tried very hard to be patient but I was done! I left with my dress and nothing done! Beware!!!

Elizabeth is excellent at her craft. She knows alterations well and made my dress look like it was made just for me. Cant wait for the next dress design I bring her!

I took my wedding to Elizabeths there for alterations. They did a great job and have super quick turn around! I also think they have very fair prices. I will use Elizabeths again in the future.

Elizabeth altered all of our suits for our daughters wedding plus my dress & our other daughters bridesmaid dress. She did a wonderful job! She also fixed the wedding veil, steamed it & put weights in it so it wouldnt blow in the wind. She has been more than helpful!! We have another wedding in a year & I wont hesitate to use her again!

Destroyed my future daughter in laws wedding gown. The entire bottom was cut off, no hem and too short to correct. Elizabeths attempted to lie and state the dress was given to them like that. They even went so far as to state that Davids Bridal sells unfinished gowns and should have given us additional lace to sew onto the bottom of the gown!! They continued to deny that they cut the bottom off the dress. My future DIL is 52. The dress barely touched the floor after they cut it, and this was with her standing in her bare feet! Prior to Elizabeths cutting the gown, there was 6 inches of lace which flowed to the floor with a nice hem, which simply needed to be shortened for a 3 inch heel. How hard is it to correctly hem a dress?! The bustle was never touched and the cup pads were placed with one stitch and were in crooked, one pushed under the arm and one hanging out of the top of the gown..Needless to say after Elizabeths had this gown for a month, the finished product looked like a 3 year old had gotten ahold of it, rather than a professional seamstress!. Fortunately I had photographs of the gown prior to their butcher job!. The bride was in tears! After much arguing, they finally refunded the alteration cost and the entire cost of the dress. After a very stressful day, we were able to re-order the dress from Davids Bridal with alterations completed beautifully also courtesy of Davids Bridal.In addition, two weeks earlier Elizabeths lost my daughters bridesmaid gown when she went to pick it up. After hours of searching, the dress was found, but alterations had never been completed.Ladies, do not risk your gowns with this establishment. The dishonesty of this business alone should be cause for concern for any potential customer. Buyer beware!!

The best, hands down. I am very particular about how things fit and Im never disappointed. The first thing I ever had altered here was a tux; the jacket was taken in and the pleated pants were made into flat front! Since then Ive had numerous shirts slimmed, topcoats, suits, pants, sweaters - you name it, Ive taken it here. I recommend them to all of my friends. If you want it done right then dont go anywhere else!

Not only is she a rare gem of talent here in Greensboro (She can make custom dresses you could only dream about in your head) but she is so personable with the best customer experience Ive had. Elizabeth defintely has my vote for the best seamstress in town. My wedding dress needed so much work done, from the sides being tucked in and trimming of the hemline. When i entered her shop I was was greeted with a warm welcome and smile. She was very happy to assist with any of my dress needs and had plenty of opinions and ideas. She finished my dress in a very timely fashion and defintely took her time to make sure my dress looked flawless. I brought a dress for a simple alteration to Elizabeths on Wed. for prom on Sat. I requested the dress back by Friday but was told that wasnt possible but that it would be ready for pickup Sat morning at 10am. I was hesitant being it was the day of the event and my daughter had other appointments scheduled, but I was assured and had previous good experiences with the business. I showed up Sat at 10 to be told that the dress had been misplaced and was not worked on. Their idea of fixing the problem was either returning my dress or having it ready in 30min. Of course with limited time I had to go ahead with their altering instead of going else where. 55min later they had the dress completed but refused to reimburse any amount of the $40 I paid for our trouble even though they admitted it was their fault for not having it ready. I was extremely disatisfied with their handling of the situation and will NEVER use their services again and highly discourage anyone relying on them for professional service.

Went here due to a recommendation from Patinas... Bought a department store white pant suit that needed a little alterations and 1 button added to the jacket. 2weeks and $30 paid I get the pickup call... The button on the wrong side of the jacket So she had to put another hole in the jacket... Not what I ask for but ok she said it be ready the next day. 2days later go for the second pickup try it on and its MESSED up! Inside button is too tight and the outside button is to far from the button hole...I removed the buttons and hand sew them back on myself if i wasnt pressed for time because of my wedding I would have them fix it for the 3rd time!!! But I wouldnt let them do anymore alterations for me

Had to return four times before I could take my suit coat home. Incorrect pickup time, incomplete alteration, incomplete alteration, then finally looked correct. Found out a while later that they left two gaping holes in the interior hem of the silk lining (didnt notice at first). One in the armpit, one on an entire tail of the coat.Pretty terrible experience and not cheap. Will not return.

After reading reviews and being highly referred I chose Elizabeths for my bridal alterations. My first interaction with them was less than desired. It wasnt because they werent friendly becuase they were. It was because how brief the interaction was. She pinned so quickly, barely asked me what I was expecting, and then it was over. Less then a minute on a bridal Top. When she came back I asked her if she could consult with me further since this was for my wedding. She did but somewhat reluctantly and did not leave me feeling secure in my alterations. At that point I should have taken my business else where. When I returned to pick up my bridal top it was not perfect and things I hadnt specifically requested to not have ( like bunching near the breast and arms) were there. She said shed correct and took it to the back. Another girl brought it back, and all though somethings were better there was still noticeable bunching. The seam stress never came back to speak to me before I left and the girl who brought it out just kept telling me how great it looked. For a bridal alteration shop The work is below par and the customer consulting/service is not top priority like it should be. The hem inside my bridal top was very sloppy and there were long strings left that hung out that I ended up clipping myself. I also had a honeymoon dress that the length needed hemmed and it was very unevenly done, noticible shorter on the left side while the right side still touched the floor. Very disappointing. After the fact I had several people ask me why she didnt put darts in the chest so it fit better, and honestly I dont know, and even more so Im left wondering how do these people know that would fix the issue but the bridal alteration specialist didnt even mention darts, much less attempt to make my top flatter me, or even come back to speak to me? And at that point we had just a week to our wedding day and no other alterations place could get it done by then. So now I have a bunch of wedding photos of my special day with a less then flattering bridal top just reminding me how it was not perfect. So if you need perfect work and customer service for ANY special occasion I definitely say do not go to Elizabeths.
