I chose to be a Liberty mutual customer after finding their auto policy to be cheaper than my current policy, through my employers discounted rate. When I switched to Liberty Mutual the process was easy, and saved me money so I was a happy customer. 2 months later we purchased our first home and inquired with Liberty Mutual about combining our home owners insurance policy with our current auto policy. Liberty Mutual was unable to provide us with home owners insurance due to them not servicing our region is what I was told. Therefore I had to seek home owners insurance elsewhere. When I purchased home owners insurance, it was cheaper for me to combine our home and auto policy, as I initially wanted to do with Liberty Mutual. I then called to cancel my auto policy with Liberty Mutual, only to find out they charged me another monthly payment on the auto policy + an extra 74.00$ as a short rate fee for canceling the policy before it expired. Although it was new news to me, I have never been charged a short rate fee when using any other companies in my 10+ years driving.. According to the NC DMV it is up to the insurance company whether they apply that charge or not. The fact that I was/am being penalized for something I feel was the companies fault, not mine, makes me regret ever using them for insurance at all. I would have been a loyal Liberty Mutual customer for Home and auto insurance had that option been available to me. To punish a customer for doing what is in their best interest is not good business for me. I never even used my liberty mutual insurance, ever, not once. So they made their money plus some... I definitely will NOT recommend them, or use them in the future.

Customer for 33 years and they refuse to go down on my rates. No accidents, 810 credit score and I have a $200+ for one vehicle with OK coverage.Not fair how they treat their customers of long time. My similar quotes at Geico were $61, State Farm $76 (with highest possible coverages), $72 with Progressive and $81 with Farmers Bureau.

Had a very bad experience with them.1. When I was hit by a car last year in July (no fault of mine, hit by a car behind at a red traffic light), I didnt know calling the police would help my case as they would have access to security cameras at traffic light. When I contacted the liberty insurance people immediately after the accident, they didnt even tell me about calling the cops immediately, and later when my case was falling weak, they mentioned I should have called the cops earlier to make my case stronger. Lost $1000 out of pocket2.They bumped up my insurance by almost $80 and when I told them I cant afford it and would like cancel, they suggested me to buy a new policy before cancelling it. I valued their suggestion and called Geico, purchased their insurance which was $130 cheaper monthly. Then I called them back to cancel the insurance with them only when they informed me that they are going to charge me $370 for cancellation. I was so furious and asked them why havent they informed me about the cancellation charge when I first mentioned about cancellation. All they said was it was written in my policy document, which was 40 pages long. I feel it wouldnt hurt anyone to inform their client about such a huge cancellation charge just as a token of gratitude when they first ask about cancellation. I wouldnt have moved forward with cancelling it had I known about the charge. I asked to speak with the manager about this, they told me they would give me a call within 48 business hours. I never received a call from them and soon after they charged me with $370 for cancelling

Turned me in for collection for a bill I didnt owe policy had been canceled and turned in by mistake by them it took from Jan too October too correct this and then one day I got a 2.00 refund for the policy I would do without insurance before I would use them again

I have had my home owners and auto insurance with this company for over 14 years. I recently lost my job and was one day past my due date paying and they cancelled my insurance and told me to get a new policy I would have to pay the total amount of the policy up front. I never had a homeowners claim and one accident in 14 years and this is how they treat a loyal customer. Called Geico switched my homeowners and auto saved over $1,800 for the year.

These people are crooks! They ensured my company for workmans comp and because of technicalities they gave me $400 for almost a month of missed work. Representatives are not personable and able the same thing to you over and over again as if the more they say it the more itll make sense. Would not do business with them, nor with any company that uses them.

I am not sure which location this was but I literally just got off the phone receiving a free quote because I had a letter concerning the matter.I called just to see if it would be worth the switch from State farm.I had to hold for about 5 mins,the rep that responded didnt even know what the call was about when I had to enter my invitation code.Then the prices were $20 more and then with a Dodge discount only $17 cheaper maybe.I told him I would stay where I was after first asking for a quote to bundle home and auto.He acted like he didnt feel like doing it and when I said Im fine dont worry about,tried to insist on the quote.After I declined again,he cut me off mid speech,told me to have a nice day,and proceeded to hang up on me!Glad Im sticking with State Farm!!Complete waste of my time!!

HR is awful!! The interview process is awful as well. They don’t contact you if you do not have the job. You do a video interview that you only get two chances. If you don’t know how to record the app doesn’t tell you. If you make a mistake and don’t realize your recording that’s it. When you reach out to HR they don’t email back. Who is over HR to make sure they are doing their job. Because they aren’t and the process is not as professional as the company says it is. I had a friend that got to the reference part and heard nothing after that. No email saying they were interested in someone else. Even though they said they would be in contact via email.

After being insured for 3 weeks.. we paid $410 and they sent home a letter for cancellation.There was no definite reasoning.They told us to find a different insurer.A very inconvenient time as Im a homeowner with new construction.So I called and a representative blew me off; when the underwriters get involved then its set in stone.My husband called 20 minutes later and another guy had us email all our bills to assure we are living in our house.I talked to a Dorothea and she was wonderful, sounded like shed been doing this a while.P.s 2 months later and LM continues to email me abt a prorated balance for switching insurance. So I pay, then, they send me a notice of 87.00 for homeowners that they didnt receive from mortgage so I pay it. They continue to harass through email. Theyve threatened to go to collections. We switched to State farm..

If you like things done well and efficiently, do not chose Liberty Mutual for your insurance.Instead of adjusting the date of my automated draft, the customer service agent skipped my October payment causing the remainder of my payments to increase 38% each month for the remainder of the year. Of course, in addition to that, payments are still being drafted out of my account on the wrong day.Perhaps after a fourth phone call, they will be able to address my original request. I will not be using Liberty Mutual once my policy runs out.

Lack of concern, lack of communication and does not answer emails or phone calls!! Customer service is pretty much non existent. Found one person that would help me but it was not her job to help....she was just compassionate of my situation and that the case worker was giving us the run around!!

I paid for a full year of car insurance for my daughter. When I received my credit card statement, I had been charged an ADDITIONAL $165.00 on top of what they told me that I would be paying. NOTHING pertaining to this charge was mentioned in the paperwork . CROOKS!!!!

Damn what a trainwreck and a waste of time. I wouldnt do business with these people if they cut their rates in half. LM sucks

Excellent experience. Moved all my insurance (homeowners and auto) to Liberty Mutual. It is more than their excellent rates, although inflated rates with State Farm and Progressive motivated me to call Liberty Mutual for a quote. Liberty Mutual saved me serious money simply by really looking at MY situation. Im shocked at how much money they saved me.Every company talks customer service, but few have any idea what it means. My agent Catherine Young at Liberty Mutual in Greensboro practices real customer service with prompt quotes, answering all of my many questions, and returning all phone calls (refreshing!). No other local agencies of national companies would quote me in less than a week and not one returned my initial phone calls. I had a real quote from Catherine the same day.My agent Catherine Young has made the process of transfering escrowed coverage and all that confusing stuff a breeze. Note I said MY agent. I no longer discuss insurance with a distant person at a call center. I now discuss insurance with MY agent in Greensboro, NC.

My review is Liberty Mutual NOT this office. I switched to Liberty Mutual when their auto insurance was lower than who I had. It kept going up to 1442. a year. Granted I do not have minimum coverage.Got an online quote from Geico for the same coverage. It is 666. a year. That is 46% of Liberty Mutual.It is a no brainier.When cancelling my auto insurance Liberty Mutual charged me a short rate. This allows them to charge me $43. extra dollars to cancel before policy ends.Been with them for years will never use them again..Eric Johnson Greensboro NC

They are terrible. Pay them every month and whens its time to help with claims. They decide to pay bills as little as possible and leave my mom with all the medical bills.
