I contacted Avalon in the spring of 2020 to tear off and replace the shingles on my building. I didnt know at the time that the supports in the attic were in terrible condition and were not holding up the roof very well. It was built in 1910 and it was not done correctly at the time. The roof was actually sagging in the middle. When I met with Will, he explained to me the problem and was surprised we were actually in the building working.They raised the roof with putting the new supports in place in the attic. It looks 500% better than it has in the last 23 years and I know that we are safe working in the building. They tore off the old shingles and put the new ones on. It doesnt leak anymore and it looks great. The crews did fantastic work and they always cleaned up after they were done each day.Thank you very much for a job done well.

I contacted five roofing companies in Grand Rapids for estimates on replacing the roof on my home.I decided to go with Avalon Building Concepts because of how thoroughly Doug Draper explained Avalons process to me and also his encouragement for me to ask questions.He handed me the paperwork and roofing samples along with his card and assured me he was available seven days a week for questions. I tested his last statement and he was indeed available 7 days a week.A day later I signed the papers, decided on the color and a day after that they called me with the date and time they would begin.The crew Avalon sent to do the job was terrific. They were professional, courteous and respectful of the property including my yard art. They also seemed to enjoy working together and kept everything picked up throughout the day. I was impressed with the entire process and thrilled I had made the right choice. I should also mention that I love the new roof. Thank you Avalon Building Concepts!

Avalon Builders installed an egress window and I was very pleased with the work. Their workmen kept me informed all the time as to how and when things were going to be done. The end result was a high quality job done on time.

The roof install was fine. Did have to call for the crew to come out and reclean the area. The man who came was great. I have asked Avalon to come and look and work on potential issues. Very poor communication. They say they came but I specifically said I needed to be notified and on site when they arrived to work. That never happened. So I never really know if they come and do the work. I am now trying to work with the warranty company and Avalon is very slow in responding like weeks slow. They made an appointment, then never showed. I only know he didnt show when they called to make another appointment. They called to let me know a guy would be there, while I was out of town. I have no idea if he came. Avalon has not submitted any proof of work or inspection to the warranty company. There is NO value in the warranty that is sold to the customer.9-23-21Appreciate the feedback. The info was sent to the Warranty company dated today with no pictures which they require. Seriously wish, as a customer, I didnt have to resort to social media to get some action. That doesnt make anyone feel good.

My roof was overdue for replacement,. Having experience working with roofers as a general contractor in the past, I had trouble getting roofers that I hired over the years to come estimate, let alone do my work.My neighbor had Avalon replace their roof. With my past experience and knowledge with roofing/ siding, I liked the work I saw. I met with Will and within a couple of weeks had them replace my roof!Will is personable, polite and professional. The workers are diligent and polite. Others with the company I have spoken with have been responsive and good to work with. I would hire them again and have already deferred them to several others.

James Adams was our Sales Representative. He was professional and in contact with us from start to finish. We used Avalon for our new roof and siding on our one hundred year old house. They were there on time and did an excellent job. We get compliments on our siding from everyone.I would recommend them for your home improvement needs.

I have used Avalon Building Concepts over the years for various jobs including roofing of garage, skylight repair, house roof repair, and recently fencing in my backyard. And on all occasions I was more than satisfied with the work that they did, with the professional employees they sent to my home and with how quickly they did the work around Michigan weather!!!! I will stick with them!

They worked closely in detail on what exterior finishes I wanted on the front of my house. They brought samples to confirm my selections. They called to confirm the timeframe of installation. They arrived, installed and cleaned up daily. I was truly impressed with their workmanship. When they left you would never had known they did any construction. I do not recommend this company!! They hire people to do jobs and they do not pay their employees the work they have done. I worked on a house for them and finished it, I also took pictures of my work before and after the house was finished and sent to them. They then sent me pictures of the supposed work that needed to be redone. I disagreed that it was my work, I had the proof of the door I had done. But I did go back and repaired the work that someone else had obviously went up and did to make it look like I was at fault. It has been a month now and they still refuse to pay me. I have lost all my workers due to the fact that I was unable to pay them. And as though this wasn’t enough they went on saying that the color of the drip edge was the wrong color and it was also my fault. When I am not the one that ordered the material. But on my list it did say white. All I would like is for the to pay me the money owed. And quit make excuses

We hired Avalon to replace our roof. We had used them in the past for another home repair project and found them to be an easy company to work with, affordable and assisted with financing. This recent experience was much different. Took several phone calls to get scheduled. Even more phone calls to ensure financing was set. Now weeks later we are waiting for someone to come back and address issues. The township inspector will not sign off on the work! Weve called Avalon countless times. Each time weve been told someone will be out to finish. Still waiting...

My wife and I had Avalon replace our roof. We truly appreciated Jonathans patience in the discussion/quote process as a family medical emergency required a couple meetings to be rescheduled. And the crew that stripped and replaced the roof was truly amazing and amazing to watch. They started at 8:00 am and cranked it out in a day. Very good cleanup job as well. I thought the price was very, very competitive and the roof really does look great.

Requested some work that involved electrical along with roof and gutter work. Not many wanted the job, but Avalon quickly gave me a quote and was eager to take on the project. Tyson showed up on time for the quote and listened to all my concerns about the job. He documented my concerns with pictures and in writing and was very easy to work with. Since they did an excellent job on the roof, I see this smaller job going well too. I would not hesitate to give them a call.

Avalon replaced our roof, the soffits and fascia and siding. The workmanship is outstanding and the quality of materials are far superior to any other company we got quotes from. Additionally, of the four quotes we got, ranging from $68,000 to $42,000, theirs was the replaced the soffit and fascia in a week. I have to admit that they did a terrible job on cleanup and left probably what amounts to over a thousand dollars of left over materials I finally gave to a friend of mine after they failed to show up even though I called twice. I was so happy With the work, however, I hired them to do some minor repairs on my porch. That was over 6 months ago. I keep getting the blow off. I am going to get my money back on the deposit I gave them and call someone else. Oh. And they left a mess around my house. I keep getting nails in my tires

Large crew showed up when scheduled and promptly did tear--off, disposing of all debris, then proceeding to install new shingle roofing. I observed workmen to perform careful and accurate installation of new shingles and flashing. Work was completed in single day including meticulous cleanup of construction debris and leaving professional looking job.

This company is hands down the best roofing company around. The roofers were amazing and so were the runners and clean up crews. Jonathan was professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend avalon in the future!

Avalon installed a new roof for us about 14 months ago. Will came to our home to talk about roof installation. Rather than interview anyone else regarding a new roof, we decided to go with Will & Avalon at our first meeting. Will was extremely knowledgeable, capable and assured us we would have the best roofing crew. Will measured our roof with a drone! On the scheduled day, Will arrived with the crew, was available for any questions we had, was available throughout the day & came back later to check in with us. We had a lot of confidence in Will. The crew did an amazing job, starting & completing the roof in one day! They were very careful, picked up all the old roof shingles & nails and the crew leader came back early the next morning to check the job & check for any remaining nails. In 2019 we requested information for replacing our siding. Will Zambrana promptly returned our call and met with us. Will brought a lot of information, went over all the options and then toured the outside of our house (in the rainy weather). He also made recommendations. During the installation, he called several times to ensure all was going to plan. We had some issues during installation and Will made sure the issues were addressed. Will is very professional, caring and treats you like you are his #1 client. He still calls occasionally to check on us and to see how we are doing. I would do business with him again.

I had many things done to my house. Roof, Siding, new railing. My Sales Rep Will Zambrans was amazing. Went way above in customer services. Which is very important to me. Explained everything to me and I felt I could trust Will. Will was there during all the work and stopped back all the time while the jobs were being done, if I had a question he had the answer within that day. Ive used Avalon for several projects on both my home and rental properties. Recently I was notified by one of my tenants that the porch roof was leaking. I called Avalon and was able to have Will and John come to the house the same day. John confirmed that the roof wouldnt collapse and provided an estimate on the porch roof and included an estimate for the house roof. The cost was agreeable to me and I opted to have both roofs done. Within a week the shingles for the house were delivered and installed. After installation I had a couple questions about some of the work done and Will came out the next business day to discuss my concerns to my satisfaction. The porch roof will have to wait until the weather is warmer to replace.In the past Avalon has installed new windows at my house and one of the rentals, installed a door, gutters and a roof on another rental property. I have always been satisfied with their work and would recommend them to others.

James was great to work with. He answered all our questions and made sure the work was completed to our satisfaction. He made a point to include both my wife and I to make sure everybody was happy. We had a new roof, face boards, and gutters put on. It’s ~40ft to the peak over my walkout basement and the pitch is high so I needed a company that I felt could handle the job. James convinced me I could trust them, and he delivered.With any large project there are going to be issues that pop up. It’s how the company handles them that makes the difference for me on the outcome. There were some box ends that didn’t get replaced, one cracked board, a gap I didn’t like, and some confusion from the on-site crew on if the porch roof gutter was included. The crew was respectful and assured me everything would be worked out. James handled everything and it was resolved quickly and without question. I couldn’t have asked for a better customer experience.The on-site crews were polite and did their work without ever needing anything from us. They asked us where they could park vehicles and equipment, cleaned up, and for such a large project it was not at all disruptive.I decided not to have some of my rake edge boards replaced mid-project because I liked the original design. Without me asking James adjusted the final bill to reflect the reduced scope, and it was a noticeable reduction, not a token gesture.The house looks new, we got exactly what we wanted at a fair price, and the company was easy to work with. I highly recommend Avalon!

I had a new roof installed by this company, including tearing off several layers and disposing of (they even removed 2 old satellite dishes I wanted gone). The price was shockingly low for my expectations and they even did the financing work for me.Unfortunately, all the materials were delivered the day before the Covid-19 shutdown, and they respectfully were unable to do the work the next day as planned. They did keep me updated on when they were able to resume work.About a month later, they had their crew out and my roof was done in just a little over a day. So far it seems flawless, with no leaks or worry, and if there was, I have their special warranty that transfers to the next owner if I were to sell the house.The only issue I had was a pitchfork that was taken by mistake from the crew, but they bought me a new one and dropped it off. If I had any issues, I think I can depend on this company to resolve it.Thank you Will, and the rest of the Avalon team for the great work! I plan to use their services again for the next project I cant tackle by myself.

Brand new roof that I spent all of my savings on after buying a new house only to find out avalon was the company to do the same job for the last home owners and they botched it. Toping it all off, I have some owner by the name of dan(wouldnt tell me his last name) tell me I was an idiot because im not in the industry. even with over 400 reviews, a 3.8 means nothing! worst experience ever for a first time home buyer.

Avalon Building Concepts was contracted to put a new roof on my home in the fall of 2019. I noted to their sales person that before I had extra pop vents installed that I had an issue with one ice dam near my bathroom window. The sales person, Randy?, noted that I should replace the numerous pop vents with ridge vents on both the peaks. I noted that I was concerned about one ridge vent providing the same air flow as all the pop vents I had and asked about having a couple of the newer ones left in. He said it was not needed as he “guaranteed” the ridge vent would be enough air flow. I again noted I would prefer a couple of the pop vents be left in. I signed the contract and didn’t notice that he didn’t amend it to leave in a couple pop vents so that was my fault for not catching it. The winter of 2019-2020 was a warmer than average winter and I didn’t notice any ice dams. This winter, 2020-2021, was a different story and I had huge ice dams and icicles all over my home. Even when we had numerous days of warmer weather the end of February the ice dams were so huge, they didn’t melt. I contact Avalon about the issue and a salesperson was here on February 22 and saw the ice dams in person and I sent them pictures. The sales person that was here, Tyson, noted he would get back with me on February 24 after talking with management about the issue but that he was sure they would fix the issue for a small cost or possibly no cost. He never called me back so I called on February 24 and he said he would get back with me later that day but he never did. I sent two follow up emails, one on March 1 and another March 4 and a text to Tyson on March 4. He texted me back stating that they fulfilled the contact as written and their hands were tied. No offer of correction even for a fee. So, they have left me to try and find a solution. My guess is this issue will also void my roof warranty and if I have someone else install more pop vents it will also most likely void my roof warranty. I strongly suggest if you are considering going with Avalon to reconsider and if you do to triple check the wording on the contract, don’t trust what the salesperson tells you especially if the word “guarantee” is included, and trust that they won’t work with you to correct an issue they clearly caused, even for a reduced or other fee. I won’t even go into the damage they caused to my landscaping and yard. I treated all the employees and workers extremely well bringing them beverages and snacks when it was hot and have only asked for fair corrections to their mistakes but they won’t even work with me. I also plan to contact the shingle provider to let them know of the situation and hopefully they will work with me on the warranty. I find this company highly unethical, unprofessional, and their work subpar so please be careful if you consider using them for any projects.

This company is beyond scammers! At least 50% of the five star reviews are fake. Ive been in the industry and they legit are the worst. Awful awful. Never look at a companies 5 star, always the 1 stars. Be warned

Im amazed by how good of a job avalon did my roof in this weather. I wanted to wait till summer but i sprung a leak so I had no choice. within days of signing, the crew was here and finished in 2 1/2 days.

I am a returning customer who will never work with them again. They are the definition of over promise, under deliver. We had to hound them for months to complete the work. They started in early June and finished in late October. We had to frequently call to get the work done and they kept not responding to calls and texts. Once they needed financing completed they jumped to do the work because I wouldnt sign the contract until it was done. They consistently made promises they wouldnt keep or would make excuses about. I wish they were as good as the first time we used them but they have fallen big time.

In September of 2019 my father hose Avalon to complete a roof replacement that was to be covered by insurance. A month later he passed away. We reached out to the company and from the start had nothing but problems. Initially, they lost the first insurance check that my dad brought them the week before he died. It took about a month to get that figured out (turns out they credited it to the wrong account). Since my father passed, we needed to sell the house. An inspection performed revealed a leak in the new roof and I called for a warranty repair. A month later and it was never done! The buyers ended up hiring someone, and Avalon refused to reimburse because it was on their schedule. The worst of it is this was a repair that took less than an hour. I am absolutely disgusted by their service and will never use or recommend their services to anyone, in fact I will actively steer people away. How a business can stay open with this terrible service I will never know.

Back in November I hired Avalon to do a kitchen remodel and install new flooring throughout house.The guys they sent to start flooring gouged and ruined all my base boards, wrote on a freshly painted wall and started demoing the kitchen before the cabinets were even ordered. On top of this they used some of my tools and even used my oven to cook their meals. (How very professional) They were to put an arch pass through between kitchen and family room. This was not done by someone who knew what they were doing and they spent over 4 weeks and several different workers trying to get it fixed. (they want me to pay for all that labor). I have a down draft cook top that needs to be vented. I spoke with William Webb about that and said if need be I can self-vent the hood but not the cook top. He had the guys vent the hood and did nothing with the down draft. The wrong cabinets were ordered, some were cut down the fit, some were chipped and the finished damaged in installation. I was to have a custom built wine rack which was never done, they ordered from factory instead, which was more money and they never told me about that. I was to have custom shelving and I was never consulted on wood species, stain or even how many or how wide I wanted them to be. Yet, they say they built them and I have to pay for them. I havent seen them. After constant poor workmanship and damage I finally asked them to leave and not come back. My son had assumed all communication with them and asked for invoices so we could get a final payment worked out and end the relationship. A few weeks later in a profanity laden phone call with every f bomb imaginable from Dan (owner/manager) with threats and saying they didnt have to give us anything and would be putting a lien on my house if I didnt write them a check for what they wanted. Weeks went by and I got another rude phone call from Mr. Webb threatening to put a lien on and telling me I had stalled this long enough and it was time I paid. I explained that I had never seen an invoice so they couldnt possibly put a lien on my house and it was they who were holding things up. A few days later he sent some figures. I sent back what I thought was an amiable compromise deducting what it will cost me to fix, redo and finish what they started. It has been 2 weeks and I have still not heard a thing. They have lost a lot of money on this job with poor workmanship and think I should pay for the repeated attempts to fix it.

Dealing with Avalon has been a nightmare. They either dont communicate internally or make a lot of promises they have no intention to keep. This review isnt going to include every single issue but it will have several. Please excuse any grammar issues as Im on my phone.Our job was quoted at taking under a week and almost 3 months it is not finished. We had to call numerous times due to areas of the roof not being touched, weve had to call because installers were not tearing off when they were supposed to, weve had a large bush destroyed by debri, a new baby bush run over by a wheelbarrow, large patches of grass killed because supplies were left on the lawn for extended periods of time and a lot of damage done to the surrounding area of the roof that was caused by Avalon though they dont seem interested in addressing it. A dumpster blocked our driveway for 2 weeks when we were told it would be 2 days. Another time a crew came out to tear off and install and Avalon hadnt sent out a dumpster for them to throw debri into.Weve been apologized to countless times and passed from person to person when trying to address the issues. We were recently told by a manager that we would be compensated for the damage done to our landscaping. 3 weeks and nothing.The final straw was today when I checked an area that was a known leak prior to the new roof ( in a spare bedroom under construction due to water damage) and theres a considerable drip. I called and was able to speak to the Top Manager to discuss our constant disappointment with Avalon. His priority was questioning me about when they would be paid. I told him the manager prior to him told us we wouldnt be given a bill until 30 days from completion and that manager had agreed it wasnt done. The Top Manager was only interested in making it sound as though we were never going to pay him.I wish I could attach pictures to this review to show the numerous things that are wrong.It seems many people have had a great experience but sadly we cannot say the same.**************** RESPONDING TO AVALON RESPONSE*******************My responses will be in caps below to make them easy to find and should not be interpreted as yelling or aggression though I feel im certainly entitled to that at this point.home improvement jobs that include demolition can have damage happen to surrounding areas of the construction site. ALL DAMAGE DONE TO THE HOUSE WAS UNEXPECTED BY BOTH SIDES DUE TO AVALON EITHER NOT PAYING ATTENTION OR NOT EVALUATING THE JOB PROPERLY PRIOR TO COMMITTING TO IT. THERE WAS NEVER ANY ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH US THAT THERE WAS POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGE AND THE LANDSCAPING DAMAGE WAS COMPLETELY AVOIDABLEWhile we take precautions the best we can to clear all debris from the area without causing harm to your home’s surroundings,TARPS COULD HAVE BEEN USED TO PROTECT THE YARD. PALLETS OF SUPPLIES WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE LEFT ON THE GRASS FOR WEEKS AT A TIME. My neighbor is having her roof done -- and the roofers plugged their equipment into MY house, using my electricity. They tripped my breaker because of it, and I was without electricity until the next day, when I realized what had happened. They used MY electricity all day long at my expense. This is not acceptable. They were going to do it again today, until I went out and stopped them. :( The owner of the company did apologize and I was satisfied with his followup.

Gutters, replace back door, replace steps with new deck. Large project and great carpenters. Steve,Malcolm and James have been easy to work with.

Why are there suddenly lots of 5-star reviews from a bunch of accounts with no prior reviews, profile pictures, or any attached photos of their project, after months of several poor reviews in a row. My service certainly wasnt that great. I cant imagine theyve improved since then. Cut it out, Avalon.

Same as everyone else is saying with bad reviews. They take your money then disappear. I’ve slowly gotten work done but it’s because I call constantly and complain which prompts them to schedule the work. Workers that show up are very nice and pleasant and apologetic and do good work. But the customer service aspect of taking your money and then never communicating is extremely frustrating. I called for several weeks and left messages that never got returned and it was only my persistence that got work completed. I fully believe had I not done that they never would have done the work. Do not pay them until they have done your job.

We didnt get an itemized bill like we asked for; the company flat out refused to give us one.

Doug Draper was friendly and knowledgeable. We needed a slider and we got a great price from him, yet again. The installer was thorough and left our place nice and clean. We were pleased that after the job was done, they checked back with us to see if we had any concerns. Thanks again guys!

We had Avalon replace 2 leaky skylights on our back porch and were very happy with the job done. They sent someone with a few days of calling to look at, and quote the job. Their price was competitive or less than my 2 other quotes. The installer did an excellent job, worked well past dinner to finish the job. I would use Avalon again when needed.

Sales person was great. His name was Randy. Installers were nice. But It took way longer to start the job had the dumpster in my driveway for three weeks. Still have the pallet in my yard from their supplies but they waste no time to come get the left over material that I paid for. I have been told several time by ADAM that he would have someone come out and get it. When they left they had rolls of stuff laying all over they did pick up. Not to mention that they moved the outside furniture and never put it back. Then had to call multiple time to get my paid in full invoice. They will basically tel you what you want to hear and good luck if they follow through with it. I guess I will move my stuff back and get rid of the pallet. Thanks and have a good day

I was impressed with the salesman (Chuck) the first day we spoke. he has been excellent about answering my questions and very patient with mine (a lot of questions). The job went very well and according to how I was to told it would go. Chuck has been back to verify everything has been cleaned up. This company (and Chuck) have lived up to every promise made about this job. Great company! I would recommend them to anyone!

Gus came to my house, knocked on my door. Usually I tell anyone I am not interested. I had two other companies knock on my door. I was so unimpressed, I dont even remember their names. Gus and Teddy were friendly, very precise and informative. they made me feel very comfortable. I wanted them to do my work. they sold me on letting them do my roofing. I gave them the okay, handed out their cards. They left me very happy with no mess, no debree, they were thee BEST company I have ever done business with. they will be someone I will refer people to for ever! Gus is a credit to your company, he is outstanding! Thank you.

The Avalon crew arrived at 7am and got to work. Finished our roof in 1 day! We love it! All our friends and neighbors compliment the workmanship and speed of shingle installation. Thanks to sales rep chuck who is a man of his word. Highly recommend Avalon Roofing.

These ppl are legal scammers... Workers beware... They wont pay what roofers are worth. They sometimes find ways not to pay some workers while they make thousands off a roof. I done seen them leave workers in bad spots just cause they didnt have stuff ready for the roofers. I wouldnt use this company for anything... shady characters oh youll see if you dont take what I say seriously.

I bought a new house in June of 2019 and I absolutely hated the roofs faded shingles. I called Avalon not knowing what to expect, and Michael Thompson came out to my house to measure and get me some quotes. He suggested a partial Metal roof and walked me through the recess from financing to the installation. I Absolutely LOVE my new roof and so glad Michael Thompson helped me choose what would look best for my New home. Michael’s customer service is amazing. He helped ease all of my concerns & was available for all of my questions during the process.

This is the 3rd time I have had avalon out to do my windows and so far so good.

I cant believe the treatment we received from one of their sales guys. His name was Mike Mooney. He was not on time to our appointment that he set up and called after hours several times to shake us down for business. After we told him we didnt want to do business with Avalon, he practically begged us to hire him because he was down on his sales and really needed the money. He also gave off a really creepy vibe and my wife was very uncomfortable although he was good at maintaining a 6 foot distance. VERY unprofessional. I cant believe a company would have someone representing them like this guy. BEWARE!!!

The initial process with Chuck was excellent, he assisted with insurance contacts and here for our inspection with the adjuster. The Avalon work crew we had were very friendly and did a great job despite the heat of the summer. Some nails and debris were found and reported to Chuck. Overall wonderful experience.

I was very pleased with Chuck and his crew. He was very helpful from talking to my insurance and helping me pick out my materials/color. I would recommend his services to friends and family. They did a great job w/ clean up as well.

Upon completion I am 100% satisfied with the work done by Avalon. Salesperson Jason stayed in touch and administered several contract changes without any discrepancies. All did excellent work and Roger and Brad did excellent work on the house roof repairs.

My wife and I had our roof done on our home a few years ago and now that one of our rentals needs new windows, a roof and gutters, avalon was the company we called since they did such a great job with a great price last time

I had a roof installed in the fall of 2018. That spring (2019), the roof started leaking within a year of installation. I called on a weekend and left a message with their answering service. No response. Called back a few months later. No response. Now, since it’s past a year, they claim they can’t find any of my calls and say I’m outside of my warranty, but only because they never called me back the first or second time. The owner called me back, called me a lair, and was incredibly condescending. Terrible service. Would never recommend them!

They are the best company around. Skip was very thorough and explained everything well.I would completely recommend them for all your home construction projects.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Nothing but problems since the beginning of my siding project, including poor (or no) communication, empty promises, workers who didnt show up, and used bad language while they worked.Insufficient materials were ordered, causing delay in completion, as well as dumpster remaining in my driveway for an excessive length of time. I was assured that the job would be done in three days. Six months later, Im still waiting for shutters to be replaced.Always an excuse for every delay. I have no confidence nor respect for this company. Ridiculous.

I was given a quote for a metal roof, signed the agreement, and was told they were two months out from scheduling and they would be in touch. I signed the papers the end of August 2019 and so end of October I was expecting my new roof. I was counting on getting this roof before winter because I had issues with leaking in the winter. October 15 they call to tell me they underbid the job so wouldnt be doing my roof. Horrible customer service! Would never recommend.

After making a claim for roofing with insurance I contacted Avalon for an estimate, within a day I was contacted by Avalon and an appointment was set. When the Avalon rep arrived, he checked the roof and noted the damage and proceeded to show me the materials that would be used to replace the roof. When I advised my wife wasn’t home he came back two hours later so she could pick the shingle color. I was able to schedule a time for the roof replacement. The crew arrived and striped off the old roof and started to replace. when they were finished the crew cleaned up so well it was hard to tell the roof has been replaced. The contact with Josh D was great and would recommend the company and him especially.

Very bad experience with this company and their employee. This Mike Mooney was so rude and so strange that I wish I could turn back time and hire a different company. Seriously, why would a company hire someone so strange to work with the public.

Avalon replaced our roof last November when we discovered a leak. Other companies wouldn’t even come out and look at it for a quote. They are kind, compassionate, and make you feel so comfortable with their services. We just signed with them again to help build our new fence! Exceptional customer service and great work! They did a great job

Had our food completed then two weeks later had the gutters completed on Thursday- not happy with the work done with the gutters and have contacted the office multiple times about wanting someone to just call me back to set up someone coming back out to look at the work. I have called everyday and my husband also has called and We keep getting the run around with when we will get a call back.

Avalon just finished our new roof and they did an amazing job! We have several other projects for them to complete, but the roof was the 1st. Jonathan at Avalon is amazing. He is honest, personable and makes himself available to his customers, even at night. We hope that the rest of our projects go a smoothly as the roof. Great Experience!

These guys were awesome! I had my entire master bathroom redone after a water loss in my new home. The workers were very efficient, the pricing was great, and the service was world class! Thanks Bill Webb! He was amazing as a rep for Avalon from day 1. I will be a repeat customer!

This review is for a roofing job that Avalon did in August 2019. The quality of the work and the price value was great but the customer service and communication is poor. Here are a few examples: 1. Material supplier (third party) dropped off materials unannounced 6:45am on a Thursday. We were told by Avalon that the job would be scheduled to start on a Friday. Not the biggest deal but communication of this would be helpful. 2. The post build inspection employee told us he’ll send more employees out to clean out the gutters since we had a lot of roofing debris in our gutters. This did not happen until after I emailed Avalon a month later asking about this again. Avalon came unannounced to finish this portion. 3. We were referred to Avalon by our friends, the Hunts who live on Milan. We were told that they would receive a referral bonus. Our friends have not seen any type of referral bonus or gift from Avalon. Overall, I’m happy with the work but frustrated with the rest of the experience. I was concerned with their lower google rating but went ahead with Avalon because of the great experience our friends had. My thoughts are this is a big company that can handle the work but let little details go by. I was hoping this would work out better as we do have some siding projects we want worked on but I don’t think we will be going with Avalon again.

This was the worse place to get help with our roofing. We first kept getting calls & men came to our doors from this place saying that our roof was in dire need of repair and yes it was. Finally we made an appointment and a guy came to our house to give us quotes saying he would help us and Avalon would even help with the insurance. We signed the necessary papers to get started they guy said we would hear from them soon. A week turned into 2 months and my husband even called the company and they said they were very busy but someone would contact us soon. It turned into 4 months and nothing. Finally we went with a company that we were referred to by a friend. This company followed through and they were awesome!!!! We will NEVER recommend this company!!! Most definitely the worse experience we ever had.

Chuck was amazing, the guys who did the labor not so much. They hit the side of our house with their truck and knocked out a large portion of our chimney. The said someone would be back out to fix the chimney, but we have yet to see anyone.
