Ive grew up in the uptown community most of my life and Baxter is very good on helping out the community and if they dont do it they will give u information on other resources that do help with such things

As a young person I used to go to Baxters to play basketball in the afternoon because at that time it was the only place that African-Americans could go in Grand Rapids to play basketball. So this place has sentimental values, memories. I like continuing to help as much as I possibly can with donations. Thank you!Baxter.

Bring your things here instead of Goodwill. The center helped me through a long stretch of hardships, they give back to our community!

I have loved this place since I was a child in grade 🏫. (of course I wont tell u how old I am now).🤣😆. I havent been to the center in years, I just started volunteering in the food pantry &I really enjoy it. Baxter Community Center has centered themselves in our neighborhood to give back to US! They have all kinds of resources if u need with anything. I respect the fact that they do not judge ur struggles. Awesome place! 👍

Great community center, went to shop the Marketplace pantry and was surprised at the quality and freshness of the items I received. Very friendly staff also.

I love the day care and so do my kids, its clean, they have good safety measures in place and the staff are amazing. I also the the other services baxter community center offers, they have Definitely helped my family and i during hard times. I recommend them to any and all families

The people here are nice and friendly. They will help you out as much as they can. They offer multiple services such as: daycare, healthcare, and a place to pick up food (commodities) for the home. They grow their own garden as well as flowers and sell them to help out the poor. They do events such as AA and helping out to get you a job.

I personally visit community Baxter center as well as Baxter marketplace on a regular basis, I must say this is a great place to go for clothing of all ages, bedding, household items, and a great marketplace for fruits vegetables meats and other groceries,, they have a great clinic, as well as the center for working out and fellowship, all so many things to do for children, all in all, very nice place

I went to Baxter Center to get my taxes done by AARP volunteers. Very convenient in and out with slight wait..

This is my local food pantry and theyve always been so kind and helpful. Theyre a little religious for my taste and that kind of music is often playing in the background, but thats not surprising.

Was advised to go for food assistance...but there is no food there. Although it lacks food you are still required to get only allowed amount of what is available. No double ups.
