I’ve been with Sweet Express over a year. Hands down the best company I’ve worked for, I like to remain loyal to companies that do right by me. Respect is given both ways here. Like any place nothing is ever going to be perfect. But they treat you like a person and not a number. People in the office definitely knows you by name. I normally run at nights and they try their best to fit my needs. Whenever I need repairs or any accommodations they are quick to help. If you come here come with the intentions of working, there is work. Put out results show that you want more and it will show on your checks. They always get you home on time. This company care about your overall health as well. This industry takes a toll on you. But be open and communicate, it’s key to making the office better as well as ourselves. Plan on being here until i am truly ready to get involved in a local position.
Been here for almost 2 months. Sweet treats me very well. Keeps me running and treats me like family. Everyone in the office is very polite and helpful. Your not a truck number here. They know you by name. Plan on staying here for awhile.
Sweet Express/Omni for myself is the best OTR experience I’ve been with, and I’ve been with several companies in my past. Trust me when I say they know my name in both good and bad situations. I’m a person who’s out here to do the job, not play games. Like other companies anyone has ever been to can relate that there’s those who are great in the business, as well as those who don’t belong in the industry. I’ve had a couple dispatchers who did me dirty, but there are professionals in there that I’ve known since I had started back in 2012/2013. There are many I call my friends and family there. For every American based companies I’ve worked for, this company is by far the best company I’ve worked for. I’m happy I’ve gotten the experience to be here and watch and be part of the growth!!!
A little tight to get to the docks but doable if you back in.Employees are helpful and friendly.
Not too bad of a company needs newer trucks
I love the office people all friendly faces to go and visit. Its a great place to work also. They treat everyone with care and respect
Just had to put in my two week notice due to stress and family issues. But Ill tell ya, this is the best otr company out there. They are always honest and will keep you moving. Equipment is very good, some trailers are a little dated but still dot legal. I would highly recommend anyone to this great place.Even though I put in my two week, I was treated with nothing but respect and they even bought my plane ticket to get home.Sweet express is growing and growing, and Im my opinion, they are the industries best for a driver.
Been with sweet express for 8 weeks now and everything is wonderful great pay, great benefits with 401k,and get you home when you need to be home
A great place to work for I personally like everybody there that Ill talk to and Ive been there only actually coming on 2 years
Ive been eagle eyeing you guys for a while, lol. This old trucker thinks you might be his last job. I believe i have 5 good years left to make the OTR magic happen.Loved your response to the cry baby keyboard ninja. Direct communication shows an attempt to resolve and buildWeb rants do not.I have a dog too. We handle our business, earn our keep and pay our way at work and in life. What is that guys pppproblemo? The Owner is a stand his ground warrior with a quick witt and i respect that. The fact the he looks at reviews is very telling to me.
Love to get to see the people that help me stay out on the road. Im glad they love their desk jobs, because I would not like to sit inside all day like they do. So Im glad they are there to make my daily window outside my rolling office. Great work Sweet Team!!!!
I was flat out told reasonable accommodations could not be met in order to be employed by this company . I am a disabled veteran with a service dog. It’s nice to know discrimination still exists.
Amazing place to be! Sweet has been apart of my life for over 15 years now! the size they are, the company isnt just a business its a family
Fantastic place to work. Very flexible. For me the good outweighs the bad by 5:1.
I am a driver here i think I might of found my place to call home we work hard a home time when u need it miles are here pay is always on time an this is the way tucking should be it amazing so happy I for this place it is like family
Ive been here for a while. Great place!!
Always on time. Thank you.
Sweet Express is a great company to work for. They are very understanding, I would definitely refer a friend to this company. Dispatching is great, they always keep me moving. They have some good policies, they take good care of their equipment. Sandy and Keisty are the best DMs.
Very good company very nice people just awesome all the way around
Great company to work for, awesome staff. Youre treated like a person and not a number. Always gets me home on time and takes care of any problems I have.
Ryan and Venad being a nice guy at first. This company will sell you a truck via MTE truck a business merger now called MTE-Sweet not in dot compliance and signed to work with the company just to take your truck back for complaining. Thatll fix their denying they sell trucks. They also keep your paycheck and all monies wasted on a down payment. Theres no good destiny for this company. The law will protect those who fall into this trap.
Sweet express is truly a good company to work for
Had a really good experience so far. The driver instructor who took me out for my driving test made me feel at ease. I was so nervous at firstCause Ive drove nothing but a Volvo for the last 5 to 6 yrs. And I took the test in an International one. So different. But I think I finally found the company thats gonna fit me. Thanks Sweet Express
Your drivers are not safe drivers at all very reckless on the highway with no regards of human life or safety
I dont have anything bad to say about this company. I have enjoyed my time here and I will enjoy my future here as well
If there is a company you want to work and drive for it is this one! So this is my update after a year of working for this company. This is the best company that you can work for all the miles you can drive. And one of the best companies that’s out here on the road I can’t wait until it expands even more because the driver managers are awesome I’ve had no complaints whatsoever.
Best place to call home
Awesome place and great people to work for
Ive worked with this carrier for over a decade, through the good times and bad times they have gotten it done and I have the utmost respect for the whole team. Aldin, Hasib, Venad and Mirzet #1
Dangerous/reckless drivers who tailgate, speed unnecessarily, and place others in danger
Driver pulling SW6058 on Friday 25th driving south on 57 is bad representative of your company. Tailgating in construction zone, sped past at 68 when lane opened again but still 55 zone, no signal use, all around typical Midwest trash steering wheel holder.
Great place to drive for! Great people!
Great people, good equipment. Very family orientated. Love my job. Best trucking company in Michigan. 380 trucks a brokrage. 80 owner operators. There is no quit here!!!! We are going to get it done one way or the other.
The miles are there, the moneys not bad and the trucks are pretty well upgraded. From my experience and others, your first truck will be probably a lemon but stick with it theyll get you a better truck
I am a driver for this company an they really amazing
I work hear Good people,You get paid for what you do and money is the standard for right know.
Awesome place to deal with thx guys.
Great company and yes they are very family and pet friendly. Made the mistake of leaving company after 16 mo. Came back a yr later went on my 1st load back and got the call wife in hosp in medically induced coma sweet got me home asap from Denver to Tampa for her also found out my at least 4 people from sweet office contacted hosp to check on her while I was in transit to get there let me stay home for a week to make sure she was ok except for calls to see how she was I was never asked to leave her till I was ready best co.pany Ive ever worked and Ive been driving 22 years
Thats where I work.
As with most companies they have their ups and downs, but this is the most comfortable place Ive ever worked at. It really saddens me that in this industry when a driver doesnt get what they want or does something wrong they refuse to take responsibility for their actions and immediately go to the internet to post a bad review about a company that did everything possible to give them a chance. I recently recruited a driver with only four months experience, he swore he could pass a driving test. I then found out that not only did he fail the driving test, but the tester had to drive the truck back to the terminal. He then went on to leave a company review of one star. On his review he made it out that it was the companys fault. He also said in his review that the company didnt follow through on their promises of home time and pay etc. My question to that person, how can you possibly review a company that you didnt even work for because you werent even capable of passing a simple road test? anyone reading these reviews should think about things like that when they see a bad review. 90% of the time, its a driver who didnt get their way or did something wrong and refuses to take responsibility for his or her own actions. If youre looking for companies to work for, this is one of the better ones. And again, when you see a bad review, think about the source of that review, especially from someone with only four months experience.
I have been with Sweet express for a little over a year. In that year I was honestly a little worried because of previous experiences at other companies. I have found a very comfortable family environment at the office, everyone is so nice!the trucks here are well maintained. If i need anything on my truck I call my DM and they will make sure my truck is taken care of asap.Safety is important to this company. They never ask you to drive over your hours, and plan loads very well with the time you have available on your clock. If you want to drive they will keep you going! I average 3000 miles per week, some weeks are less some are more depending on hours, or things like maintenence, or repairs but they pay for breakdown and layovers so it doesnt doesnt hurt too much in the paycheck. If I ask for hometime the answer is always no problem, when do you want to go home just have to be reasonable... Theyll work with you in an emergency.I can talk all day about the good things Ive experienced here, I dont have any negative things to say. Im sure other people have other experiences here but this has been my experience so far. I plan on retiring here and maybe staying after retiring if theyll let me lolOverall Im very happy to work for Sweet Express
This company has some of the WORST drivers.
Hey does anyone know the story about one of Sweet Express trucks getting impounded in Texas last July? What did the driver do? I heard something about it but I didnt get the full story.
My husband works here! He loves this company, he never has had anything bad to say!
Good as always...
I work here and honestly this is the best job I have ever had. And I am 37. Amazing staff. Extremely family oriented. Not just a number. They know u by name. They love pets. Good hometime. They put their drivers first. Great equipment and shop. And bend over backwards to help u out in any way they can. Not to mention they have great miles. 2800-3200. Would absolutely recommend to everyone looking to get into trucking with a great company.
Driver blew a tire on the trailer and continue to drive at a high rate of speed. No concern or safety for those traveling around him as the tire continued to shred
Just watched a driver park behind the pumps at an angle as though he was waiting to get fuel...He went inside with his backpack, Im sure to shower..Came out a half hour later.Loves route 52 in Virginia. 8AM on the 11th of April.Need to teach your drivers some common courtesy and decency.
This is a good place to work Ive been here about 4 years Been trucking over 30 years its one of the better trucking companies I work for just be truthful do the job and they will work with you has a great home time
Love this company. Very family oriented and the people are sweet and easy going. If you have a issue they are always there for you. 5 stars in my book. If your looking for a great company this is the one to go with.
Ive worked in transportation for 20 years, I have worked in operations at Sweet Express for the last four years. This company is top notch! They are honest, family oriented, they put their drivers and employees first and treat everyone like family, I couldnt ask for a better employer!
Good company good miles recruiters are very honest as is the rest of the crew and the owner is a great guy to
Awesome work environment!!! These guys are very friendly and down to earth. I recommend if you have a CDL A to apply here, dont forget to tell them I sent you ;)
Worked at Larsens trucking, they were bought out by Sweets. Spent more time sitting waiting on repairs to the truck that I had turned in many times that never did get fixed. They do not treat their drivers with respect nor are they family orientated. After sitting waiting on the truck to get fixed AGAIN and being told we will get to it when we have time AGAIN I had had enough. 450 dollars a week . No not even near worth it this is without getting company insurance for my family which was over 300 a week. I would have been bringing home 100 which iam sure i spent on food to sit and wait on a truck to be fixed.
Was turned on to this company by a driver I met in Sioux falls SD. Told me company was family orientated and home time was great. Had reservations about leaving my current company, due to lack of OTR experience, but reluctantly agreed to go to grand Rapids MI after recruiter assured me I was a good fit for this company. Put in my notice with current company and took off a week to tie loose ends up at home. Was flown out to GRR and put in a hotel. Following day took driving test and was then told I did not pass driving test due to excessive button hooks. Honestly after going over the driving test I only recalled one time I even came close to the lane next to me. Heres my point this company showed me the dark truth of the trucking industry. Big promises of family oriented, good money, lots of home time, but none of it materialized. Thank God my current company understood I was trying to do better for my family. And gracefully took me back. Now thats a company with integrity. A word I wonder if sweet express understands the meaning of.
Truck drivers turning at 32nd st and Breton are endangering regular drivers every day.
Not good
Carreirs - be aware. They can refuse to pay you for your services for no reason. Customers - brokers department at Sweet Logistics will lie to you in order to get more money and always blame carriers they hire if anything happens. I do not recommend to sell any freight (if you are a customer) or book any loads with them (if you are a carrier).
Nice people
Very friendly and professional people to do business with. A company that exhibits true family values and Integrity, which can be hard to find these days. Highly recommend!!
Family oriented and care about their drivers. Equipment well taken care of. New trucks and trailers coming in all the time.
I worked at speed express they got bought out by sweet express after that down hill I got injured in June 2016 went to hospital was in Dallas, tx where injury happened had to have eye surgery was in Dallas 1 month had to keep begging company for money and motel got back to grand rapids,mi. Company was very rude to me said I should clean out truck in record time very disappointed now they say Im not rehireable I say because of injury and me collecting workers comp for 8 months stay away from them lousy pay .39 per mile Im making .49 now stay away Billy Jean was horrible to me stay away
Great company great co workers think all stay with sweet
The best company I work for started 1/10/2010-present! Lots of miles & money! Family atmosphere
Awesomeness people. Friendly. Family first company. They have an excellent orientation presentation.
This is where I work, and loves it
Great company to work for if youre willing to work. No issues.
Great place to work and all their drivers are very professional.
Great place to work for
This is a great company to work for. You get the respect you deserve.
Watch out for license plate D734835 out of Grand Rapids, MI. The trucker was right up smack behind a car at a extremely dangerous small distance and swerving back and forth. We slowed down out of fear of the car getting hit. Tried to find a number on the truck to call it in, but couldn’t find one. It’s an accident waiting to happen.
Best job Ive ever had.
Great company, Awesome co-workers, nice trucks and great service department. Glad i came here
Nothing like getting cursed out by the female driver of truck #8356 because I dumped black coffee on the pavement at a loves....with representation like this reviews arent really even necessary...
My last payroll check bounced. I gave them 2 weeks notice after working there for 3 month (the worst 3 months of my truck driving life). They told me to lie on logs, always trying to give me team loads when I never had a co driver. Drivers - stay away from them
It was better than CATS! And Im going back again and again and again and again and again and again hahaha hahaha hahaha !!!!!!!!!!
Evidently this company needs to teach their drivers safety because this dude almost ran me off the road.
Just another company who has too many bosses who dont care about the drivers. No one knows for sure whats going on and what needs done. Useless mechanics who dont do anything but collect a paycheck. Safety has not a clue on the workings of the electronic logs. $7000 sign on bonus for anyone who stays long enough to collect it.
I work for these great people good place to work
I had a truck driver of theirs screaming at me. I couldn’t back up in the left turn lane because the car behind me wouldn’t.
Truck 6955 driver would not respond pounded on the truck with two Loves employees in Boredman OR. Truck leaked 100 gallons of fuel in parking lot. Driver had the truck idling and so much garbage and old clothes stacked up in the windows its no surprise he didnt respond. Called the company and pressed 5 for an emergency and got a voice mail system. I guess this is just another trashy trucking company that gives all of us a bad name because they just dont care.
Fair place to work.
Talk to recruiting was straight forward with questions recruiter could not answer proper then got upset said I was not good fit for company cause I was asking questions on benefits and safety she could not answer. And when i tried to ask what was wrong she hung up on me her Name is Marshall.
Great place to work for very family oriented
