Terrible, I showed a picture of what I wanted, asked the barber named Ty to fix a few things and he was displeased with me asking him politely (Im shy and soft spoken) to correct length problems. He cut one side shorter than the other in several spot and its very obvious. I just gave up after the third time. Save your money and go somewhere else. (Or at least dont book with him: 1st chair on the rightside, walking in)

I took my two sons there to get hair cuts. Never been there before so I told my sons we will give it a try! We walked in and stood there for about 5 minutes and no one greeted us or let us know what to do to check in or anything. So we left wont be going back. If this place doesnt have 10 seconds to greet customers as they come in. Ill take my money somewhere else where. Where the barbers knows that first step in a barbershop is greetings is a great first impression!

I won’t go here again. Before I use to sit and wait, wait and wait, although, I have scheduled an appointment and arrived early. Barbers are always “behind” or “running late” and they have no regard for your schedule. They, also, have no apologies about it. They have this whole online system for you to schedule appointments and they are rarely ready and available on your appointment time. This establishment is not customer oriented, and to be honest, very rude to you when you’ve been unsatisfied. There are way better, professional, and punctual shops that consumers can take their money to.

After using many haircut places over the years, these guys are the most upbeat positive of them all. Theyre not just here to take your money and give a fine haircut, theyre here to give you a fine experience thatll keep you coming back every time. As a first time customer, Im definitely impressed with their professionalism and mannerisms and will be back for all my haircutting needs. Give them a try before writing them off, you wont be disappointed. PS. Ask for James. :)

Love crisp cuts. Ty and Chalyn always take great care of me.My only criticism is they need to sweep and keep the place a bit cleaner especially with how many cuts they turn in a day.

First experience was solid, but the second time I went, didnt get the cut I asked for, and left with scars on my forehead from the line up. I was super excited because my previous visit was just what I was looking for. And I was so happy they were open on mondays. But yesterday, just wasnt very happy about the turnout, wasnt at all the cut I asked for.Hopefully will be coming back, the guys are great, the professional look and feel is great, communication isnt amazing, but when I do I will try to be more specific I guess, even though I did show a pic of a previous cut the way I wanted it, and then we agreed to do a drop fade and there is almost no fade to my cut at all, seems like it was just one length all around.

I take my two boys to get their haircut here. Everyone is nice there, the barbershop is always clean and love that there isnt any profane language used especially around my kids. Bryan cuts my boys hair. He does an amazing job and we never have to wait long! That is rare to find.

I went to the shop and got to have Terri as my barber. She was awesome. Great lady and barber who made me feel like the most important customer there. Got a great fade and was really pleased. The shop is really clean and very welcoming. Would really highly recommend Terri and Crispcuts.

I didnt really give my barber a lot to go on, I apologize about that, Aubrey. I dont know much about preferred clipper sizes or anything, but he cut my hair all nice. Very detail oriented and cleaned my beard up all smooth. Was feeling shaggy before and I really did leave feeling crisp and proper. Cant thank you enough and Ill definitely be back

I have come to this shop twice to receive just a low cut tapered cut. The first time I was here I had set an appointment and waited over an hour. My barber was cutting someone else’s hair as well as coloring and cutting someone else’s as well. I was in the shop a total of probably 2plus hours. The manager apologized the first time.I set a second appointment for my second cut and once again was waiting an hour plus. I understand you can get busy but I set appointments because I have things going on and places to be. There seemed to be no sense of urgency that a customer has already been waiting an hour plus for a set appointment for a cut that should not take 30plus minutes. I managed to write this review while sitting in the shop and still waiting to be cut. The quality of the cut is good which is why I’ve come back a second time but customer service and being on time is not good.

I live 6 hours away from Kansas City, the drive to see Mr. Bob is well worth it. This is the only place that has a smooth Jazz vibe clean and fun family environment for all ages. Its been a pleasure to watch the growth of this man from beginning. I wish you continued success in your future endeavors. I definitely will continue to drive to Kansas City to see Mr. Bob congratulations. Hands down the only Barbershop loaded with everything you will ever need or want.

Terri is a amazing barber, she does amazing jobs and is my go to barber. she has been upright amazing and ill go back to her for every future haircuts.

Good haircuts. Extremely unprofessional. I will not ever be returning to these barber shops! I make an appointment on my one day off for 4pm, I arrive early only to see my barber working on someone else, I wait untill 10 min past my appointment time still working on someone else with no communication toward myself. I finally leave and all the barber can say is hit me up later not even an apology. What a wasted of time!

This place was okay, our first time here and the customer service was great, we were welcomed instead of stared at like most of the other barbershops weve patronized. This shop is diverse/ multicultural.My two year old was serviced by a woman named Terry, she had toys and conversation to keep him occupied while she cut his hair. He has soft loose spiral curls that I wanted trimmed just enough so that his hair all over was even since the last place we visited didnt cut it that way. Terry tried but did not succeed and we left with all different lengths and some of the curls completely gone.My nice year old was serviced by a man named Aubrey? He has very thick curly hair. We asked for it to be faded up into a mohawk. It was neat but my son was in pain from the barber applying too much pressure from the clippers when he lined his edges up. The fade wasnt deep enough for our liking and he didnt do too much styling of the hair that remained... There was also another customer waiting for the chair so needless to say we didnt ask him to fix it too much since he was already running behind schedule. Here was very mannerable though.Over all the service was acceptable the kids cuts or elementary cuts is what I got for the boys $15 a piece not including tip.

If you’re looking for the best haircut and shave this is the best in independence. I came in during the pandemic and I have to say they did a great job reassuring me that I was in safe hands the whole time.

We went to the location in Shawnee and they were amazing! Its a Saturday and we were a walk in, so we waited a while of course, but everyone was super nice! They were willing to fit us in if we were willing to wait. After spending half the day finding someplace that would be able to put a design in my daughters hair like she wanted, we were more then willing! When she finally got in the chair, we were the last clients of the day, but they were still patient and took the time to understand exactly what she wanted. The lady even called me over to make sure it we were on the same page with how it would flow in the back. It was great! In the end, I had a very happy girl! Thank you all so much for being so awesome and accommodating!

Aubrey messed me up, the clippers were flimsy, it felt like he was cutting my skin off. i was left with bump and cuts on the back of my head. poor quality. my cut looks like i had it for 3 weeks. the first day i had the cut. great customer services but for Aubrey when it comes cutting hair it seems like that isnt his best quality. i was in the chair for about 45 mins and it seems like he didnt know what he was doing. the other guy cutting hair had 2 people done in the period of one hair cut. he claims he was cutting hair since 2005. but looks like he started in may. i WILL NEVER GO BACK. his hands were shaking and every time i tried to look at my cut he kept moving my head. i wouldnt wish my haircut on my worst enemy. not fresh not clean and NOT CRISPY.

I went to the Independence location. I was very impressed walking in the door. The place was clean, the employees were ALL very nice. My stylist Terry Shearer was AMAZING, friendly and I love the cut. I think I definitely found my place. I would definitely recommend this place.

Aubrey does fantastic on our grandsons hair!

I requested a flat top when I went in, and even asked James if he knew how to do them before I committed to having it done. He clearly said yes, and claimed he was good at them.James lied to me. He started to attempt a flat top, but about halfway through, you could tell he was lost and then just grabbed the clippers and cut it all off, leaving me with a round crew cut. I asked him again then if he was giving me a flat top, not a crew cut, and he said yes.Im disappointed with the dishonesty and at him trying to just play it off, instead of being straight with me.The place is clean, nice guys, and I wish the place well, but I didnt walk out with what I wanted, and wasnt treated professionally.

Was my first time bringing my son here. John cut my sons hair and he did an amazing job. Very detailed and patient. My son is only 4yrs old and moved a lot and his cut still turned out great. Definately going to be coming back. Only downside most places we go out gel in and style it when theyre done and they didnt here. Not a big deal though

Bryan did an excellent job on my skin fade. I was pressed for time because I had an interview and he had me looking clean, classic and sophisticated when I stepped out of his chair and walked out the door. The atmosphere is clean and very professional I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants excellent customer service and to stay in style for an affordable price.

Crisp Cuts in Independence Mo. is an awesome shop. I just moved to the KC area and because I am unfamiliar with the area, I find it hard to find just the right salon to trim my hair. I stumbled upon Crisp Cuts and Aubrey did an awesome job even though my multicultural hair (thick, curly, and holds heat) is difficult for many to manage. I will definitely go back!

I wanted to wait a few days before writing this review. One true test of the skills of a barber are that a few days after the lines are still strong and prominent. And this place is on the money. Independence was sorely missing a true barbershop that could give you not only the comfort of the old time barbershop, but step the skill levels up beyond the sky. My barber was very knowledgeable and let me know all of my options. If your looking for a new place that will do your hair right every single time. Look no further!!!

The young men who who work there are very polite Attentive to details when it comes to theyre clients and I appreciate that and I know my sons do as well.

This was our third visit to Crisp Cuts and it has been great every time! My son absolutely loves the barber experience here and even though they were extremely busy today the barber spent some extra time showing him how to properly maintain his hair!

I am used to getting my haircut every 3 weeks like clockwork. Because of the pandemic, it had been over 3 months since my last haircut. I wanted to use the opportunity to get away from the big chain mens haircut places and go local.Chalyn gave me my first haircut since COVID-19, and I could not be happier with the result. I had an appointment set for 1230, I arrived at 1210 and waited for my barber to arrive. At 1230 I called and was told hes running about 15 minutes late. I waited outside for 20 minutes and walked in to see him already cutting someone else. I was told it would be soon so I waited standing outside until 1:35 which was an hour after my original appointment and the barber was still not ready.There was someone named Bob which I believe is a manager/owner and he offered a free haircut next time but I turned it down. I believe Bob was the only one running on schedule and trying to help the customers. My first and likely last time here wasnt a great experience.

I scheduled an appointment for 12:00 p.m for my son and was there a little early, but when 12:20 came around and our barber was still not done with her current client, we just left. No one was updating us on how much longer we would be waiting even though our barber knew what time our appointment was. Will not be going back!

I stopped by the shop on Friday Oct. 11th @ around 11:00 a.m. and it was closed..no sign of anybody..no note on the door to expect if they were going to be open at all. Schedule on the door states they were supposed to be open at 7:00 a.m. that day.

They messed up my friend haircut and I’m extremely unsatisfied I seen potential in this place and they still charged him.
