After almost 20 years, our old pressure-treated deck was looking very tired, and we wanted to expand the deck without having to deal with all of the maintenance (and splinters!) We hired Renaissance Exteriors to build a Timbertech composite deck over our existing decking. The company worked closely with us to create the design that worked best for us within our budget, and kept in close contact with us throughout the entire project. We had an existing structure that needed to be built upon, and heavy clay soil, which made this a very difficult project. Andre, our representative, bent over backwards to make sure that we were satisfied with experience, and the deck foreman, Josh, was an absolute perfectionist and literally checked in with us daily to ensure that the work was being done to our specifications. We felt that we were in the hands of a company that had a lot of personal integrity and who were concerned with creating a quality product and building long-lasting relationships.We love the deck but when we saw the before and after pictures it was an incredible contrast. We are thrilled with the end result and look forward to enjoying our beautiful deck for years to come!

We had Renaissance build a composite deck to surround our new hot tub behind our garage.The designing of the deck was very simple, and the good folks at Renaissance even suggested some slight tweaks—which really turned out wonderfully. The light trim around the edge wasn’t something I would have thought of on my own, but it is a fantastic accent that really looks nice without adding any cost.The work was performed quickly, efficiently, and professionally, and we couldn’t be happier with our new deck.We were so impressed with the results that when our main deck is ready to be replaced, we fully intend on having Renaissance come back out to compete that job as well!I can not recommend this company strongly enough.

I have reached out to Renaissance on 2 separate occasions for a garage addition to my house.The first time around, the owners of the company came out to gather all the information. They were very professional and responsive. Then they left and it took over 2 months to get my quote, which came in astronomically high (25% over their on-site estimate, which I thought would be relatively accurate given their extensive experience)Fast forward a year, I reached out again. This time Andre had the job to come out. Again, very responsive and professional upon arrival and the entire time he was here. I had toned the garage project way down, from a multi-level concrete structure to a 24x34 attached garage with the back 8 ft being multi-level, to avoid spending money on all the multi-level concrete. At least this time I was able to get a quote after I provided blue prints, which I procured for less than a third of what they had quoted. The quote came in almost 2x the budget I had discussed and also 2x what I have had other builders quote for. When I mentioned this, Andre seemed flabbergasted that anyone could do it for cheaper and reacted by what came across as demeaning to the other, unnamed, builders. Effectively he told me that I will never get what I am asking for.The only thing I can guarantee is that I will never be getting ANYTHING from Renaissance.

After reading all the great reviews, I thought this was a company I would like to hire too renovate our deck. I had high expectations that I would be dealing with a reputable business. Boy was I wrong... I called the company & they sent Scott Zochowski their remodeling consultant over. He was very friendly & told us how much he liked us. He took measurements of the deck & said he would present it to his team of estimators for a price & definitely let us know. He called the next day, said that there was a problem. He wanted us to call him back as he had a few ideas & wanted to talk to us personally. We left messages for him several times & he never returned any of our calls. We never were told what the problem was & never received an estimate. It was like we didnt exist. How rude & unprofessional. We heard about Ben @ Bosworth builders & called them, now our deck is almost finished. Thats what I call professional!!!

Renaissance did a basement remodel for us and we couldnt have been happier! I am not particularly skilled in interior design and Alissa and Amy guided me to beautiful choices. Mike communicated well with us as the whole project progressed and monitored that things were done right. We love the end result and will be using them again!

We had a leaking skylight and a roof that needed to be replaced. Not only were they able to come tarp it for us within 24 hours, but we able to get us a quote and complete a full roof replacement as well as replace our skylight within 10 days. Our project manager Andre was wonderful, very communicative and most importantly honest with ever step of the process. We were very happy with this whole experience! Our roof looks great and we have an amazing warranty! Would use them again!

I called them after finding them on the internet. They were located close to my home. I called early in the morning and talked to some lady who answered the phone. I told her I had a lot of work to do on my house including finding a leak in my roof that occurred over the winter while we were in Florida, and windows that needed replacing, and some other odds and ends. She took my name and number and said Jessica would call me back. I said why is Jessica? She said she is the scheduler. I said and she will call me back today because I have to get on this and find someone today. She said, I promise, she will call you back today!!! I said ok, and I waited...... and I waited..... and I waited.... Nobody ever called me back. It turned out to be lucky as I was telling some neighbors about them, one told me they are just the middle man and dont actually to the work..... they just hire the workers and dont actually employ any... Dont know if thats true, but I called Praire Creek Construction and am VERY Happy with the them!! Stay away from these people...... Ive been in business for 35 years and when a company doesnt have the common sense to return customers calls and do as they say, its a sure sign of the kind of work they do.... Keep looking!!

We had a leaky roof so I called Renaissance for an estimate. Their estimate was extremely competitive with excellent customer service and response time. It also helped that they are Master Elite certified roofers with GAF. We ended up re-shingling the house and garage. We got high quality lifetime shingles with an unbeatable warranty. Renaissance did the job right away and it looks fantastic. No more leaks. This was in February when there was a lot of snow and ice on the roof to deal with, too. Our roof layout was very challenging, too, with poorly designed valleys. Renaissance was creative in providing long-term solutions and we are happy with the results. They treated our roofing project with extra care and they treated us very fairly. Andre was our project manager. I would recommend that you give him a call if you are thinking about getting your roof done!

I had water leaking in from my chimney and had Renaissance come take a look at it. The roof was old, and really needed replacing. They came in and quoted me for a fix, and also for the roof. There was no pressure, and Andre was helpful and straight forward. I ended up getting the roof replaced and now I dont have to worry about it for years to come, if ever. The workman cleaned up really well and the roof looks great.

Very quickly replied to my quote request, and Andre was able to show up within 1 week. After walking through the project, he said hed need to get his plumber out within a few days and would write up a quote for me within the next 2 weeks. That was the last I heard from them despite reaching out at various intervals.

Recently, my home encountered some wind damage. I submitted an online inquiry on a Friday, after 5pm. Andre contacted me Saturday morning and was promptly at my house Monday to provide a quote. We started asking for quotes for a huge exterior remodel earlier this spring. We had water leaking inside during heavy rains and wasps getting inside as well. In order to correct the issue, we would have to remove all siding, so we decided to insulate our home better at the same time, as well as give our home a new look. While getting quotes, shingles were found in our neighbors yard that belonged on our house, so we added a new roof to the list. We chose Renaissance based on their willingness to tackle a difficult project, reasonable quote, and time spent making multiple trips to meet with us. We wanted a very specific type of insulation, and Renaissance even agreed to work with a new company to make this possible. Renaissance has now completed their portion of the project. We are pleased. Yes, construction is messy work. We dealt with nails scattered around for almost two months. Yes, their are many factors that cannot be controlled during exterior work, such as the weather. We had driving rains that leaked in, but in hindsight this provided testing of new flashing and house wrap and siding. If something wasnt working, they fixed it. The roofing crew did accidentally damage our deck railing, but this was also completely corrected. The end result of our project is a beautiful new exterior to our home, unique to us, that is not leaking. The siding, trim, and roof look great. A huge wasp nest was discovered, and our house is closed up so tight, so I think this issue has been resolved as well. We appreciate the time spent by Renaissance Exteriors working on our home and communicating with us throughout the process.

We hired Renaissance Exteriors to handle a large project for our home. Unfortunately, this project had some unexpected code issues. Jim, Evan, and their contractors stood by us every step of the way. In the end, at extra product and labor costs to their business, they stood by their proposed cost to us and completed the job. I came to them to give my back deck a fresh look but unfortunately, I did not get the craftsmanship and professionalization I was reading about on reviews and hoping for. I ended up having to touch up spots myself and hiring and paying another company to correct un-level spindle’s & pool gate and missing painted/stained areas. Felt they really over promised and under delivered.

I called and set up an appointment with Renaissance for some replacement windows in my second floor bedroom. I was interested because they carried and installed Marvin brand fiberglass windows. The day of the quote arrives and James shows up. Very nice guy, talkative, not pushy at all. He took measurements, pictures and then we sat down and he showed me some literature from the company. The meeting went fine, although he would not write me a quote, saying he had to call his guys and get some information. I told him we would like to make a decision soon and he said he would email me the quote in two days.So, two (business) days later I check my email and no quote. I look at the business card he left and it is for some guy named Andres, so I call, no answer and leave a message. Another day passes, and then another. I call their main office line listed on the website, it just rings and rings and rings, no answer. I call this Andres number again, no answer. (It is over a week later as I type this and still no contact)Something that started so well, just turned out to be a big waste of time. As a company and professional how hard is it to follow through on something? How hard is it to hire someone to answer the phone at your office or return a voicemail? Instead of a chance to earn a paying job, instead the company and these employees just do a total ghost.Any company that cant do these simple things is a joke, and I would not recommend them for anything or anyone.

Evan did a great job with the project and keeping things moving along, always on top of thi gs and kept us informed with the contractors. Their prices are fair with other contractors in GR too. They did a wonderful job with our siding and windows.

My experience with this company has been terrible. I had a deck added to my home and replaced my vinyl siding. First the deck looks like it was built with all the reject lumber from the builders other jobs. It is warped, cracked, splintered, and full of rotted knot holes. My boyfriend called to have Jim come out, in June, and replace two stair treds because they were dangerously damaged. That did not happen. A screw was sticking through to the interior wall when finished. As for the siding, it turned out looking alright. The white trim is full of nail holes which looks awful. The pole that holds the electric wires fell off the house and I have had issues with my electricity ever since. Oh they also forgot to reattach the dryer hose to the vent and it was a few weeks before I discovered it . So for these reasons I hope you think twice before considering this company.

These guys are honest, fairly priced, and do great work. Theyve done roofing work on both the commercial and residential side for me and Ive been very happy with them.

I had Renaissance do some window and gutter upgrades to my vacation home in Holland. Because were right on the lake, I had a ton of questions about the various products that would be the best for the harsh weather we get, pretty much year round. The representative that came to look at our house (Jamie, I think) was definitely knowledgeable: he erased any doubt I might have had right away and answered most of my questions without me even having to ask. I had no idea there were so many options in windows, so I was overwhelmed at first, but I actually enjoyed the process of choosing our windows this time. There was a minor issue with manufacturer that set the installer back a day, but that wasnt Renaissances fault. In the end, our new windows and gutters look awesome, and Renaissance did it all for a fair price.

I had Renaissance Exteriors build a new deck in my backyard. We were under a time crunch because my mother in law from Japan was going to visit us on June 21st for 10 days. And we wanted the deck built before her arrival. They said they would get it done in 3 days, but they finished within 2.5 days, and even worked in pouring rain to finish the job! These guys are hard workers and they under-promise and over-deliver! The deck is Rock Solid and weve been enjoying it all summer!!! Thanks to Renaissance Exteriors!!!

They did a good job on the roof but they left nails everywhere. Left my gutters messed up and water goes the wrong way. Called them 6 times to have them fix it and no one ever showed up. Also asked them for a quote for more work and never got a return call.
