Cons: Prices were changed after undergoing new ownership before any renovations were done. Maintenance takes a month to complete. Office is always busy so don’t expect an answer. No pest control help. Not much visitor parking per building. Random rule changes. My apartment was not renovated, cracks on the tile in the entrance and more. Base of the apartment is painted black, pretty idiotic because it’s attracted so many spiders and unwanted pest. I had a brown recluse outside my door. Have two big wasps nest and problem with them coming in my apartment. Leasing consultants take down concerns but you don’t see results or actions taken.Pros: people at the office are nice. Right off the highway, easy access.The new renovations are nice but definitely overpriced.Dallas investor needs to realize this is not Dallas and can’t make it that way.

I’m one who hardly ever rights a negative review cause I really do believe that Yahweh will fight my battle. And I also know that one person’s complaint may never happen to the next person. However, with that being said I do feel lead to write this only because it KEEPS happening on almost a regular basis.The kace apartment keeps shutting off the water for a whole day’s at a time without even 24 hour notice.This has been happening ever since they took over as new management.I do understand that with the major winter issues they had when they first took over was very overwhelming for them and residents. And maybe they couldn’t get answers to the residents in a timely manner. But now it’s August and they are fully staffed in the office and working really hard at improvement THEY deem as necessary.But to keep shutting off the water with out proper notice is NOT Acceptable and I’m sure someone will take legal action one day.Again this may never happen to everyone but I thought I would give a voice of concern to anyone it is happening to and to others who are thinking of making this apartment complex home. I waited a long time to give a review, I wanted to be fair. Id give The Kace 1 1/2 stars. The day I moved in, I wasnt given the key until I changed the electricity, that wouldve been fine had I had all the information necessary to do it before I arrived with my moving truck. I shouldve known it was only going to get worse. Strike 1The FREEZE was unacceptable, and though I saw management trying, we didnt get an emergency phone number until after an emergency had already occurred. Strike 2People move and leave furniture, etc...maintenance doesnt dispose of it. This doesnt help the property look taken care of. Strike 3The gym hasnt been open the ENTIRE time Ive lived here! Thanks for the 15 lbs I cant get rid of, The Kace 🤬Im an active person who came here partly due to the amenities. My lease is up in a few weeks, an ENTIRE year! Then I can jog around the complex, right? Wrong! The complex is huge! Not sure if people use it like a street or we just get that many visitors, but theres always traffic over here. Good luck keeping a good heart rate with the constant stopping for cars. Strike 4Speaking of cars, never leave home if you expect a park near your apartment, all the traffic, remember? Oh, and theyre about to start towing, but have yet to give everyone their parking stickers. Strike 5And the three pools on the property, none were technically open until July 15th😒 July 15, in Texas. Plain unacceptable. Strike 6They repainted the complex the same on both sides, and when you get deliveries its still hard for the people to find you. The same colors, but obviously different wouldve been smarter. Strike 7I paid to live in a gated community, the gate hasnt been locked since December. Strike 8And lastly, with 46 buildings and hundreds of residents, you would think pest control would be allowed to go to more than 20 apartments when they visit every Friday. They arent. Theres a bug issue. Strike 9Good things about The Kace:Jordan in the leasing office is sweet and tries to be helpful.Albeit they are slow on community issues, if theres an issue with your unit, maintenance is PROMPT!Its located near 3 major highways, makes it easy to get placesThe balconies are huge, and if your apartment faces the interstate, theyre extremely private, loud because of the cars, but private. I have a bed on mine and sleep out there often.The Kace is located in a nice neighborhood.
The actual unit is pretty nice, but management is painfully inefficient. They waited until the day of our move in to tell us that rennovations werent finished, they lost a money order we dropped off for our rent payment for 3 full days, and they randomly close maitenance requests with no follow up. For the price we pay for the apartment, we expected a lot better in terms of dealing with the staff. Every month we have lived here was a new headache when it came to paying rent. This month, they didnt even put a pay now button on the resident site, so we now have to call the front office to make sure they dont try and charge us a late fee.
I have been a long time tenant and since new management took over the property there has been constant turn over from staff, lack of accountability and communication with information regarding the property, such as the amenities.Today was the last straw. There are multiple signs on the property with different open times for the three pools onsite of 10am or 9am. There were several tenants looking to enjoy the main pool by the leasing office. The leasing office did not open until 1pm but it was now 12:30pm and the pool was not open. I noticed that an employee named Blair B was sitting at the desk with a direct view of the door but failed to look up when we wanted to get her attention to ask about the pool. She then proceeded to laugh multiple times and then reached for head phones to show us that she knew we were knocking but did not care. Once other staff arrived we were told that the pool in the back was out of service and so was the pool in the front. There was no communication sent to the community and the staff was not even unaware that the pools were closed until the manager showed up and told us. Once I walked in to speak to the disrespectful employee the manager asked me how she can help. She then proceeded to let me know that Blair was not on the clock and in the office alone at the time. Thats was no excuse to not address tenants by simply walking to the locked door and to see what was going on. Her disrespectful actions let me know exactly how she felt about the tenants that she was getting paid to support.No body ever knows what is going on, the workout facility has not been open in almost 2 years and pools are not well maintained. The entire complex is old and falling apart. The new paint and countertops is nothing but a cover up to the foundation issues going on both with the physical property and the unstable communication within the office and to the tenants. Especially when the staff can careless about you and show it by putting on headphones to ignore you.It is definitely not worth the high prices that they are now charging and not worth the 1000.00 incentive to refer anyone to live here. Go somewhere else.
The apartments are good looking outside and inside as well, and so are the staff mercedes was very beautiful and so friendly and let me just say she was helpful and helped me select the unit i wanted to live in, she even gave me an awesome tour of the model units, giving me a comparison of what my unit would look like
Staff is super nice here, Mercedes always goes the extra mile to fit everyones needs she is so professional. Never had a problem living here.
I dont know who was the genius who decided that having 2 buildings of each number was a good idea. It is super confusing and impractical.Also the apartment numbers make no sense at all.
I’m being generous with the 2 stars cause I see a lot of potential here, but never have I ever seen a complex so poorly managed. Every single month, the online residential portal forces me to register an account. You’ll have better luck winning the lottery than getting someone on the phone. The pools and gym have been locked down with no eta of reopening. To top it off, they’re adding a ton of fees on the rent we never agreed to and have no way of opting out.So why the 2 stars and not 1? Cause at least I can see they are working on making the exteriors nicer so I’m hoping things turn around.
I’ve given this place so many chances and feel now that i need to speak up. The new company/owner “The kace” is not worth spending your money on. The carelessness from the crew is absurd from the lady’s at the office to the managers, down to the maintenance people. Lady’s up front know nothing on communication. They don’t have answers in any questions you have. If requesting maintenance on the website as simple as a air filter change to pest control will never be worked on. Then later be changed status on portal/website as “complete.” Management careless as ever, will either avoid or show interest in what’s going on but never any action or be put in the back of the line (if any). If your looking for a low quality unit even “refurnished” at a high price starting at $1000+ then by all means.

This place is not worth the price. They wont fix anything. The AC doesnt work in half the apartment causing it to get up to 82 in the apartment, my kids cant sleep in their room at night its so hot in there. The office never answers the phone. The pool is always gross. I have more, but this place is all around awful I cant wait till our lease is up.
After 3 years of living at Windridge, I can surely say that its been the best place I lived in personally! It was my first home under my name and the experience was wonderful. I first moved into a one bedroom and then renewed for a 2 bedroom. Prices are reasonable and the floor plans are awesome. The black appliances is what did it for me! Service requests are taken care of on a timely manner and they have a Residential Portal online (Currently getting updated) that gives you access to submit orders and pay rent fast and easy! The only reason I am moving now, is due to my need of a 3 bedroom. Sadly, they only have up to two bedrooms.Definitely, Recommend!

Whatever you do, DO NOT even attempt applying here because if you change your mind you will not be given your deposit back. It’s impossible reaching someone by phone. Let alone by email, i have left a thousand voicemails, never got a call back, ive sent a bunch of emails as well and no response either. I applied for the unit late June, it’s august and I’m still waiting to be contacted and for a refund. It’s outrageous the lack of management is REAL. When we toured the units we saw were GROSS and dirty. I don’t recommend even tour. It’s a waste of time. And clearly a waste of my money. They have no empathy or remorse they have no idea the situation people may be going through but their happy and quick to hold money that doesn’t belong to them
Don’t do it. New management company since December 2020 and it’s been an absolute nightmare. I have never had to beg someone to fix something on their end to pay a bill in my life.They don’t answer the phones, unless you call 10x... literally. No response to emails or no follow up from anyone. The “manager” is always out. I’m honestly not sure what’s being done at the office. I use to love this place until this new company took over. No notifications.... they shut off water for an entire day and didn’t let residents know (more than once). They have raised prices for everything... $12 to use Amazon lockers, $3 to receive your water bill, and $10 for their portion of property insurance- all of which aren’t optional. They now let anybody move in- it’s loud 24/7 and I’m miserable.I could go on and on but save yourself the trouble and keep looking.

Avoid this place. Gentrification is underway. These apartments are not worth what you will be paying as “The Kace”.. I mean upon pulling in it’s pretty easy to distinguish these are nowhere near luxury. I’ve seen the renovations first hand.... it’s lipstick on a pig (2 workers overnight and boom new tenants in) and the deep rooted issues will always remain. For the prices they are asking you can get a WAY better apt in a much better area. Trash still sits next to dumpsters, grounds still covered in dog sh*t, and the new management is nonexistent. Please use discernment when you see how many units are actually available. It’s because the online photos are inaccurate, once potential tenants arrive they immediately know The Kace are not worthy of the prices. Read the reviews, they are accurate. The Kace Luxury Apartments are merely a gilded Windridge. Oh also to get a parking permit they require proof of insurance, now everyone should have auto insurance but this is never a requirement at apts for a parking sticker. So if that doesn’t scream radical gentrification I do not know what does.
I am a resident at The Kace in Grand Prairie, TX. I pay almost $1400 for a two bedroom in rent alone. The amenities such as the pools have been closed and unavailable all summer, yet they continue to do construction, increase and add extra fees and new rules. This is so unacceptable and unfair to the residents. Since S2 residential acquired the property in January living here has been a total nightmare.

The people in the front office are friendly and helpful. Jennifer listens to your concerns and thinks about and answer before replying instead of just repeating back company policy. She truly wants to help you solve any issues.My biggest issue is the laundry list of fees they charge (Service Fee, Package delivery fee, Stormwater fee, pest fee, sewer fee, City Inspection charge, building and facilities fee, government fee, and short Term lease fee). I can understand charging for water, gas, and trash but all these fees in addition to rent.

The Kace Apartments recently switched ownership and changed names. The management of this change has been utterly unprofessional and shockingly inconsiderate. I set up recurring payments, and got multiple confirmations that I was good to go. Then my rent did not charge to the recurring payment and I started getting charged late fees everyday. I have since paid those (even though I should not have to), and am trying to contact the office. I have emailed and called multiple times. They changed their email so I dont know what it is anymore. They havent answered the phone and literally NONE of the staff have space in their voicemail inbox for me to leave a message.So I am happy to change my review once they contact me, tell me their new email, and reimburse me for the late fees.Until then, my recommendation is: If you want to live somewhere that is managed well, DO NOT MOVE TO THE KACE APARTMENTS.

The new management team seems to be a automated system, you can never get anyone to answer the phone. The crew that was painting the buildings stop covering up the cars, I had little beads of paint on my car that I luckily got of after 2 runs through the a car wash. They changing the lease and charging late fees before the date thats in the lease. Hopefully we can get some answers from a real person, not an email thats poorly written or a flyer.
Let me start by saying YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIVE HERE!!! First the management was under windridge. And when I moved in everything in my apartment was wrong as if nobody even tried to make the apartment ready for whoever was moving in next. I had roaches when I moved in. Dead roaches in drawers and live ones out. They had to fix so many things. I got rid of the roaches myself. Whoever windridge had coming to spray my apt would only spray for 1 min then leave. Then the apartments management got changed to the Kace and they are even worse than windridge when it comes to communication. I was going to move out but I wanted to know how much the rent was going to increase. Somebody from the office told me I’d get a notice on my door to let me know how much it would increase so that I could decide if I wanted to move or not. I called and called and they never gave me an answer. Even going in the office, nobody knows anything. Like what do you need people working in the office for if they don’t know anything?! It became too late for me to give them a 2 month notice so I just renewed. Upon my renewal I was told I would be able to get double doors as a room door since I had literally blinds as a room door in this one bedroom apartment. The people in the office kept telling me the double doors were ordered and they were just waiting for them. After weeks of bugging them about it, they told me they couldn’t give me double doors. Nobody had any answers as to why so I just told them to come take the blinds down which they did so now it’s just an open space. As far as communication goes, they will just let the phone ring and ring and won’t answer it. I’ve had to call 5-6 times back to back to get an answer. But when you go in the office they’ll just be sitting there. And God forbid somebody in the office tells you that their going to give you a call back because they never will. I can tell you that you can get a way better apartment for the price they charge for these. Definitely not worth the money I’ve given but I can’t take it back. Please consider looking elsewhere and dont move to this complex! The new company that took over messed this entire complex up! Maintenance rarely fixes anything right, overfilled dumpsters, nobody answers the phones in the office and you have to physically go in order to speak to someone, and the way they raised the rent is ridiculous considering this is not a upscaled area and the buildings are extremely old with foundation issues. The new parking rules are beyond ridiculous and pointless also. Please dont move here!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Windridge was great, The Kace however is TERRIBLE! First the office staff aside from one lady are very unprofessional that’s if you can even get through to speak to someone. They argue and get smart with you. Be prepared for late fees that you do not owe that will be “removed” only after you make a payment. Oh also be prepared to go DAYS without hot water or no water at all. Currently going on Day 10 without being able to shower or clean without boiling water yet they have people painting the buildings and standing around doing nothing. I was going to renew my lease again but I refuse. They suck!!
At first I LOVED these apartments. It has great scenery and my daughter & I love walking by the creek and seeing the ducks and birds.Now heres my problem. I put in a work order almost 5 months ago for my kitchen sink and no one has came to fix it.I payed my rent in for November on December 3rd,2020. I waited about a week for them to take the money out, I noticed they didnt take any money out. I called and spoke to one of the office ladys (unfortunately I didnt get a name) and she told me it would take about a week to process. I explained that it had already been a week. She said that the property manager would reach out to me. 2 weeks passed and still nothing. I called again and got told the same thing. I finally got a hold of someone, i explained to Samantha what was going on. Now they are saying i owe $83.93 in late fees, when i payed the rent on time and i have the screenshots of the receipt as well as a confirmation number, Samantha told me to email the screenshots and that the property manager would reach out to me. It has been over a week and still NOTHING. No call, nothing Ive called several times and still no answer.I just want the late fees taken off cause i was in fact not late. Its ridiculous that i keep getting the run around and still have not got this problem resolved for going on 2 months now.Great scenery and i like living here but the office people are just not the best whatsoever at resolving issues or following up with their residents on important matters like mines
DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!! Stay away. This place was just bought out by The Kace and it has gone downhill. The leasing office does not even exist. They don’t communicate at all with the residents and are hard to get in contact with. After you end your lease please check for fraudulent charges. They tried sending a bill in which I do not owe to a collection agency without even contacting me. Also my building had lots of mold in which they continued to just try and cover up instead of fixing it. Please look else where!

I loved Windridge. I loathe The Kace. Ever since S2 Capital took over, the complex has gone downhill, and as I’m writing this we’re going on six days with no hot water and no way to get in touch with management. S2 aren’t property managers- they’re slumlords.

Please Don’t my experience was a nightmare ....Robbery is 24 seven My friend was visiting me and next day in the morning surprise! her pick up four tires were gone i have pictures and police report. Months later my SUV window was busted and my stereo was gone. Again we had to call police... my front door in the apartment lock was forced and the door frame too. i had to install a Door bell seen the traffic and things on my camera I made the decision to move out. i was paying my rent for 6 months on A empty apartment just to finish my lease contract and not even staying in there. That tell you how unsafe the property is. Before moving out i made reports to the office about crime on each incident right next day with a police report on hand No One Care!!!They will treat you nice before you being under a contract after that they don’t care. Maintenance is good. but if you are looking for a quiet and safe place for you and your kids this is not the placeI wish i can give less than 1 starUsually I don’t like giving negative reviews but people deserve to know the truth specially if you have Kids.
I applied for this complex in July and was declined due to income policies and a bankruptcy filed due to a corporate layoff. Almost two months after applying I called inquiring about the return of my deposit. I spoke with Connor and she said she would have Christina call who is responsible for accounting. A week later still no call or check. I call the next week spoke with Connor again and was sent directly to Christinas voicemail where I left a message. Called the corporate office and spoke with I believe Maria. She stated she had to send an email to the regional office responsible for Windridge to get assistance. It is now almost 3 months and still waiting for the refund on an apartment I never occupied. There was no need to inspect, repair or replace anything. I simply do not understand why Im still waiting for a refund that is only suppose to take 30 days. The handling of this issue has been unprofessional at the least. Signed Very Disappointed!
The new property management company that has taken over this complex is horrible! I previously lived here for years, moved away and came back (to Windridge Apartments) because I knew it was a great community and the office staff was always helpful in any situation. Since it has become Kace Apartments, they have replaced the office staff and are now not helpful at all. I have been charged a late fee after paying within the grace period we have always been allotted. And now we are having issues with the current weather situation and no one is available to assist and the residents have not been given any contact numbers for emergencies. The only available number is to the office but no one is in the office and no main VM picks up to leave a message. This is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with!

I’ve lived in Windridge Apts this pass year and I’ve had a pleasant stay with no issues. Nice Apts, the area is cool and the staff are great. Even during this pandemic the staff worked hard with helping out, Making sure the residents stayed informed with different resources!! Special shout out to Ms. Christina Moore she went over and beyond and I greatly appreciate her!!
Ever since the new management (Kace) took over us as residents know nothing that is going on including our rent and utilities neither do they! I was told to save your money for the utilities it will take up to 45 days to get that system up and running....We have our own lives and situations and other bills to pay instead of catering to this new management company that should have been more prepared when taking over this large apartment complex with so many residents to tell that to all of us is ridiculous.Windridge was great before the new owners just whyyy!?😒
Do not get an apartment here, after you pay the bills youre completely on your own. Theres no emergency number you can call if something happens over night. February 19th 2021 someone broke into my apartment after breaking my balcony window. After submitting a police report I tried to contact the management to no avail. I submitted an online request for maintenence to fix my window and the next day I personally went to the office to make another formal request for maintenence and they never went. February 22nd, just a few days later, this same person broke into my apartment again. This time another window was broken to which I filed another maintenence request. I had to go to home depot and buy my own plywood to cover the windows because as of March 9th 2021 they have not done anything to fix my windows. Theyre still broken with thousands of dollars of personal belonging inside the apartment. Do not get an apartment here you will regret it. Apartment A1401.
Add me to the growing list of longtime residents whore displeased with the recent purchase of Windridge by The Kace.Almost overnight, what was once a wonderful complex that felt more like a neighborhood has gone rapidly downhill. The once professional, adult office staff has been replaced with barely-twenty-somethings in over their heads and clearly out of their depth, the resident bulletin board was deactivated, and maintenance and groundskeeping have gone by the wayside in the name of unnecessary remodeling.Word around the complex now is that the new owners plan on raising rent to pay for a renovation of the management office, which is beautiful, in pristine shape, and is only being remodeled for aesthetic purposes. The new owners clearly have no care or concern for the people who made Windridge their home, and theyve made zero effort to reach out to long time residents about the numerous changes theyve decided to make. Good job in ruining a great place, Kace.
The apartments were recently taken over and and are now called the KACE apartments. Since their take over 3 weeks ago, the whole complex has gone downhill. It is absolutely impossible to get ahold of anyone in the office. I finally went in and they were extremely unprofessional. The grounds are dirty. While I know it’s not their responsibility to pick up dog poop they should be more concerned about the look and smell of their property. It is so bad you can not walk into your apartment without stepping around multiple piles or smelling it. Absolutely disgusting!
Would give it zero if it was an option, this place is literally trash the management and staff here all don’t know that their doing. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Horrible place to live it’s summer time in Texas and pools still closed, mold I bathroom, I seen none licensed people removing mold, they turn off water all the time, and my car got towed after someone took Cadillac converter which made my car not start so I couldn’t move it, trash all over the place, cars block entries you have to drive on left side just to pass them, they don’t take care of you at all

Zero Stars. Completely unprofessional and unreliable. We walked in on the first day of the transition from windrige to The Kace. We applied thinking this place has potential, we got approved and told our move in date was about a week and a half away. We paid the deposit, rent, and even got the renters insurance! We made moving arrangements and began to purchase new furniture. HOURS before moving in the apartment, Jordan said they had made a MISTAKE and that an employee who was helping ( someone we never spoke too) had quite ( this was the second time we heard this excuse the first time was bc an apartment that was promised to us had already been leased) and supposedly never ran our application. They couldnt even give us a right answer on why we were denied! It changed at least twice. When my fiancé asked to speak to the apartment manager they wouldnt even ask him, Joran said he was simply tooo busy. But he wasnt to busy to try and convince us to stay when he found out my fiancé was an engineer days before. When my fiancé asked for corporates number she gave us the wrong number! Jeez, Pathetic. These apartments and employees obviously do not care about peoples lives and do not care about were they live after theyve made a mistake. Their word is not something you can rely on. I pray no one has to go through what we went through. We depended on this place for a home with our child, and they let us down. Oh and if youve read this far, they have roaches. We seen it with our own eyes on the building and in the show room.
Update: The complex has been bought out by another company. They are trying to renovate everything. That means prices will most likely go up. This company definitely feels more corporate and less connected to the residents.I will say they handled the Texas snow storm and electrical outage fairly well. Outside of this, communication has been scarce. I will update if anything changes.——————————————————————————-After living at Windridge for about a year. In my personal opinion, it’s been good for several reasons. One, it’s a great location, you can get anywhere in the metroplex quickly due to being right next to the highway. The price is not bad for what you get. It has some nice open places for your kids and dogs to run around. They hold some community events every once In a while which is nice. Most importantly, and I mean most importantly, the staff does seam to genuinely care. They will listen to your issues, they might not get solved it right away but I think they try very hard.I will say it is not perfect, there are a few issues that prevent it from a five star rating. One, if it rains it can get very muddy where I am at. And since there are no sidewalks where I am at, one might have to walk through the mud to get to your apartment. The gates are often offline and might be a security issue for you. There are not enough dumpsters for the complex and they often overflow.Despite these few setbacks, Windridge is a solid place to live. It has met our needs and we are comfortable.
Their was hit and run on 12/6/2020 their They were six cars hit nobody knew anything it was the worst thing ever we tried contacting the office office didn’t do anything about it they didn’t seem to care they even sent somebody to put a green sticker on the car give us 48 hours to move the car. I just sign the lease so this review is more for initial experience. Appartment complex looks very nice and clean. 1b floor plan I choose looks spacious and price range was decent. Balconies are huge! The customer service is amazing! Leasing agent Connor O. was very helpful and explain me all the details. Kendra (office ) was so nice!! I already feel like I made good choice compared to previous experiences.. cant wait to move in. Will post new reviews after living there for a while.
Bad service and cut water every times
Ive lived here at Windridge Apts for about a year now, and for the most part it has been pleasant. The office staff has been very helpful in any situation that has come up, especially Conner. Shes incredible. The rent increase for my 2nd lease wasnt too bad. I will be renewing my lease here shortly because the size of the apt versus the location is really what brought me to this complex to begin with. The location, in my opinion, cant be beat. Youre almost directly dead center of DFW, minutes away from literally anything/everything. The neighborhood itself is ok, no real problems than any other apt complex would face Im sure. As long as the gate(s) remain in working order, I do feel as though Im living in a gate community.
I have lived here 2 years and about to start my 3rd, place is nice and quiet. Maintenance is quick, easy online pay of rent and water and access to highway north south east and west. Close to Rangers and Cowboys games and horse track.
Absolutely horrible place to live. I am not one to write Google Reviews often unless it was really good or really bad and this place was the worst place I have ever lived in my life.- Roaches- Rats- Careless staff- Unsafe neighbors- Horrible location- Loud next to the highwayI cant believe I lived here. When I came to this complex, everything was fine, but now the situation has changed a lot and the owners of the office are not helping their residents.I had a problem with the girl who lived on the second floor and nobody could stop her from bothering me even though I asked for help more than once and the only solution they had was to call the police.Nobody can live in danger and I felt this thing when I saw my car was broken outside. After all this most of the time there was no water, there is no parking lot if I come late from work(for me, it’s a big problem), the neighbors are annoying and there is no censorship, its a forest because there is no safety !

Im hoping this review finds someone in the front office or the owner of the complex. My car was broken into the other night and I emailed you guys about this matter and havent heard anything. I have lived here for almost 3 years and it seems to be going downhill never would have thought someone would have broken into my car. I am highly upset and disappointed with you guys because of this. I recommend you guys add cameras around each building to detour theft as I shouldnt have to watch my car all night and day thinking someone will attempt to break into it again. I am now on full alert the next time they wont be so lucky.
Been living here about 2 months and I’m amazed. The property is BEAUTIFUL, well kept, and kind hearted tenets. Great place for families. The creek that splits the apts is gorgeous with lots of life. We see ducks, turtles, tadpoles and all different types of birds everyday. The apts are cozy and spacey. Felt right at home when I moved in. The office staff is great. I regret only signing a 7 month lease here, but that’s ok because I will renew when the time comes. Best are to be in, in Grand Prairie. So much peace here!!
This is probably the WORST apartment complex I have ever lived in. Its WAY overpriced, the leasing office is super incompetent and ignores you, my ac has started leaking 4 times, always takes forever for someone to come and fix it and now there is water damage on the ceiling they are probably gonna make me pay for, mail ALWAYS gets lost or stolen, the gates constantly break, Im absolutely sick of this place. Im tired of NO ONE HELPING ME. I regret moving here so much, I cannot wait for my lease to be over.
This ordeal has been eye opening. I’m moving to Grand Prairie for work and won’t have an opportunity to visit apartments ahead of time. I liked what I saw on the website so I went ahead and applied. I paid the fees and waited several days to hear from anyone. I called and was told they couldn’t find my application (red flag #1.) I eventually was told that I was charged the incorrect fees and owed an additional amount of money (red flag #2.) I had some questions about the application and why the fees were charged incorrectly. I never received a response to my concerns in my reply to an email with Christina (red flag #3.) I ended up calling and talking to Anita (I think that was her name.) I explained the situation and asked for someone to call me back to help answer questions especially about the fees. This never happened (red flag #4.) I waited 2 days and never received any sort of communication. So I finally went back to the original email chain and politely requested that I receive a refund or an explanation as to what is going on. I received a response on 6/21 that they would look into refunding my money. I sent a follow up email that never received a response. As far as I know they never processed my application so a refund I would hope is the simplest solution. Apparently not. Hopefully other applicants and residents receive better communication.
We love this place, we were really hesitant because the reviews we saw on some pages regarding this apartments complex, but after living here 5 Months we are so happy to move in, the staff is great, the landscape is really relaxing, the apartment is really comfy. Like all apartments have the no so happy neighbors and human issues, but over all we did a great decision to come and live here.
I’ve lived in these apartment for 5 years and the experience the past 4 has been HORRIBLE as of this moment I’m living in apartment where my kitchen has NO LIGHT since 5/28 and I put in a work order for it to be completed and the work wasn’t even done. So I sent in another on on 6/18 and no one still has come. Unfortunately have a water leak that happen on Thursday night from the people who moved out from upstairs from me and I put in a work order early afternoon for NO ONE TO COME OUT. The office opens up at 9-10am on Saturday so my husband goes up there first thing and one you cant go in due to COVID (understandably) but the lady just said we will send someone right away and my husband asked it smells like mold are they going to remove the carpet or do something because this has happen on more then one occasion. She said she will have to speak about that with manager Monday which is today!! So me and my family had a long Saturday so we thought okay we will come home to it being fixed because she said she was sending someone out we were out of the house from 10am-5:30pm and we came home and NOTHING WAS DONE!!! I had to call emergency maintenance and they came out within 30 min and it took him literally 5 mins to go upstairs to the people old apartment because they left there washer and dryer connection line on and they moved out on Thursday night! So it been running for two days my floor is soaked with water the inside of the walls are too my husband shoes got messed up in the process of that because of the water and the maintenance man said someone will come out either that day which was a long shot because it was already 6pm or Sunday and that was a long shot because it was Father’s Day. My apartment stinks like mold and wet dog and to top it off I have a 5 year old and a 10 month old that isn’t good for my kids I’m currently sleeping in my living room. To top it off my light in the kitchen still broken. I don’t understand they are not in contact with anyone old day and they can’t check there emails to see I sent a email with the subject line URGENT. I pay almost 1100 dollars a month FOR WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lived here for 2 years. For what I needed and wanted it was fine. Amenities were clean and always operational. No problems in 2 years and everyone was extremely friendly from my neighbors to the front office staff. They are consistently improving everything about the apartment complex from what I noticed during my stay. I would live here again.
Great apartment very nice but my husbands truck was just broken into last night and the radio was stolen. Been here 6 months never had a problem until now. I will be moving out when my lease is up because they need more security.
I just made a tour but the place is awesome..i.love it..cant wait to be approved
I visited there to inquire about leasing in the next coming months. Samantha answered all my questions, gave me all information regarding the community, rent, and took me to see a vacant unit that was recently renovated(not a model) to allow me to make an informed choice. I do plan on renting here, and I am pretty sure they earn those other 2 stars.
I am about to have a year living in these apartments everything was going fine until last night when somebody tried breaking into my car. Rent is very expensive over $1200.00 for this kind of thing to happen. The office lets you know they have security at night but that is a LIE I have not seen him at all... I do not feel safe.
UPDATED REVIEW 2/1/21: Sadly I have to drop my previous four star review down to a one. Since becoming The Kace Windridge has gone from feeling like home to feeling like living inside of a slow-motion car crash. All communication with the management has been cut off, the office community portal was taken offline, unnecessary renovations have started with management telling residents that they have to raise their rent to pay for it, and finally the hot water cut out in February during 30 degree weather. Instead of staying to fix it, the maintenance team and management all just went home for the night. Under the old owners there was an after-hours maintenance number and portal, but its been taken offline. Its in the forties outside right now and we have no hot water, but, The Kace is working really quick to paint all the buildings white for some reason, so, thats apparently our consolation. Under the old management, residents were always kept notified of maintenance emergencies, it was easy to communicate with the staff. During COVID they even used to have food trucks come out to the complex for the residents. Now The Kace has taken over and acted like we should all just be grateful that they hung a new sign on the front gate. No one in charge seems to have any concern for anyone living here. This place is a disaster. I miss Windridge.
The ladies in the front office are very nice and made the whole process of moving in great. I have had no problems with my apartment or belongings. The only thing is one of my friends was visiting one night and her truck got broken into, but personally I havent had any issues. Anything we need fixed gets done in a timely manner.
Update 01/30/17the security is horrible at the apartment!!!!my husbands tires got stolen off his truck at the beginning of the month and now his mirrors... they suck!!!!as soon as our lease is up we are moving!Also the other tenants they are noisy and rude and dont know how to park right!I have lived here 7 years and have never ever had issues until now!!update 07/31/17 in less than 1 year.... yet again my husbands tires are gone!!
This place really doesnt care about the renters at all! My front door looks like crap and it wont close all the way so what do they do? They hammer it and patch stuff up. You get nothing new at all poor poor business. This place isnt worth the 1000 2 bedroom price at all. This isnt a good apartment complex anymore. It was nice in the 90s. But now its all Katrina evacuees! They kick doors in here so you better have nothing nice left behind.
Im sad to be moving out. The apartments had a nice layout and the staff was always nice to us. They promptly fixed our list of maintenance requests. I will be moving back in NOVEMBER !!!! Thanks Guys
If you are looking for a gated community, this is not the place for you. The gate is always broken and/or works half the time. I have not ever had so much trouble at an apartment complex like I have with this one. I was locked out of my apartment and management never responded but they sure were quick to charge me for it - they did return my money when I notified them. My car was towed, the trash is always overflowing, and the apartment I live in was renovated but it still old. Do your research as there are probably better apartment complexes out there for the money you will pay here.
Would give no star if possible. The staff is pretentious and the physical condition of the property is poor at best. Please be cautious. The initial appearance may be appealing due to the large pond (which my dog loved), friendly demeanor of the staff and highway access; however the cons vastly out weigh the pros. I encourage you to read the other reviews before moving in.
Lived here for a little over a year. It was not a positive experience for me. If you choose to move here, I would encourage you to move to Phase II of the property because Phase I has a long way to go.
I’ve lived in Windridge for a few years and my experience was awesome. The apartments are well kept, the office staff is amazing and very helpful when you have questions and concerns, maintenance get the job done fast and are very polite, and the apartments are very quiet and peaceful . I can honestly say that I would recommend the property to anyone who’s looking to become a resident in the Dfw area or if you’re already in Dfw. Thank you Windridge for the wonderful experience. Your favorite New Orleans resident lol.
One of the worst apartment complexes I have ever lived in. The agents in the office are cocky, careless and dont care about their tenants nor do they care about the safety of the community or individuals living in it. My apartments stove caught fire twice due to an electrical problem in the actual stove causing one side of the kitchen to ignite and when the fire marshal isolated it and gave orders to not use the unit again the apartments turned around and fixed it against the citys orders then tried to fix it a third time. If you are looking for a place with a good quality of life and friendly people? This is NOT the place to go. Go somewhere safer, more friendly, and less of a liability than these apartments.
I lived here for a year, and it wasnt very good, especially for the price.Any of the apartments near the river running through it have bug/wasp problems year round, and exterminators can only do so much to fix it.Their maintenance is really slow, on two occasions I had to call or stop by the office and remind them that I had submitted a service request. Even then, my dishwasher was broken for a month and half until I moved out.On the bright side, the one bedroom apartment I was in had a den, which was large enough to basically be a second room.Its also located in between two major highways, so you had easy access to a lot of places, but you are forced to get on the highway if you want to go anywhere. Being off of PGBT also meant having to take tolls if you dont want to go out of your way.3/5

I’ve lived here for about a year in half and everything was great till yesterday afternoon that someone stole some stuff off my husbands truck never had we had a problem like this he usually would leave stuff valuable things and nobody had taken anything till yesterday
We pay over $1000 for promises that wasnt kept. We are suppose to have all new appliances and everything is suppose to be black. Our cabinets in the kitchen is an old brown that looks like it hasnt even been touched up, The stove was dirty with scratch marks all over it, and the fridge has dents and the ice maker doesnt even work. Promises has not been kept at all.
It has been nothing but back and forth with the leasing office over basic things... constantly changing the information given, including amounts and prices that need to be paid... i have tried to get in touch with the corporate office multiple times to complain about the lack of intelligence and basic customer service at this place... left over 5 messages and have yet to get a phone call back... its just an answering machine that i believe the main leasing office controls... im mad that i signed a 1 year lease with this place. I used to live here over 8 years ago and the experience then was pleasant and had no issues what so ever... this new crew is a joke.

PLEASE READ!! These apartments are horrible! While living here they never came to fix things on time. They always made an excuse about things. They complain when you call about pest control when clearly the apartment complex isnt clean at all. The pictures of the apartments are nice but trust me they dont look like the pictures at all. These apartments should basically be low income apartments.The rent is too high for what you get. I paid a deposit of $930 only to get $32 back for false charges that they included. My thing is what if I wouldve paid a deposit of $250 would those same charges be there. They basically attacked my character saying that the apartment was left uncleaned when im a CLEAN person! if I wasnt I wouldve never moved from these apartments. I suggest that you look around before settling with these apartments.
Ive lived here for almost a year now and I dont have any complaints. The few times I have had an issue with something the maintenance crew is always quick to respond and Samantha and Jennifer in the office are awesome! The section I live in is quiet and Ive never had an issue with any of my neighbors. The only thing I dislike is the yearly rent increase. I just renewed my lease and it went up almost $40 dollars and im not even in a renovated unit. Considering how old the apts are, in my opinion, it should have been a lot less.
These apartments will eventually topple from the walls cracking apart (literally) and from them covering it with paint instead of actually fixing the foundations. You call in for a maintenance service and it takes forever to get done. Management acts like they care just to get you out of their face. Someone even broke into my car. The apartments themselves are very old and theyre now trying to cover it up some more with renovations (new paint). Trust me, pay the extra money to live in better quality apartments.
Avoid like the plague. They nickel and dimed charges when I left and sent it to collections without making any attempt to reach out to me about the suspect charges. Also had packages stollen from my door. Apartments also overcharging for small cosmetic changes. Don’t be fooled by the “upgrades.”
One year lease is enough. A pipe burst water went everywhere while wasnt there. They tried blaming me and tried having me pay but I told them my lawyer had said thats what insurance is for. While I was gone for a week vacation my a/c went out. They sent an email Tuesday stating they had to go in my apartment to fix it. Thursday I get home and its 85 degrees in my apartment. One week later after talking to the apartment manager its still not fixed. After coming to the office on my day off, my son is playing in the office. This lady had came over and said she had a business to run if we can keep it down. I said if my a/c was fixed last week we wouldnt be in here.These ppl are smart asses and will not work with you on anything. Wont cut you a break when your water burst, a/c goes out, nothing.I would not ask anyone I know to move here. And if youre looking for a place to park, good luck if you work late!!If you choose to live here, you have been warned
Decent overall, except if you are leasing for a student of Lincoln Tech. BEWARE!!! We were mislead to believe that we could rent the apartment for 1 extra month at the same cost as agreed with the student discount. However, once we got to the point of the extra month, they increase the payment by $140. for regular market value plus $50 for month to month. RIDICULOUS!!! He is a student, and has to live in an apartment away from home, and they screw you over. MAKE SURE YOU GET A 13 MONTH AGREEMENT, IF THEY WILL EVEN DO IT. Why would you only get a 12 month agreement, knowing you were going to need to apartment for 13 months??? Obviously you wouldnt. Frustrating!
The roach problem is terrible, the ANT problem is terrible idk what pest control does when they come but its certainly not spraying for bugs. I just am not accustom to living in a place with such a big insect problem, the bugs are so bad they crawl on you. My car was broken into, they must allow criminals and mentally insane people to live here because literally someone is always fighting or following me and watching my apartment. Ive gotten things Ive put outside my door stolen its really sad the damn gates are never closed or working. Cannot wait to move!!! P.s maintenance sucks ass they never get around to doing a MF thing youre better off in the projects.

Worse place to live, lazy staff, and apartment was filled with roaches, Id advise ANYONE not to stay here!!! You pay sooo much for an apartment and theres no parking spots to park at, you have old beat up cars that dont run taking up parking spots, the pools are never clean in the summer time, we were told we would have a dishwasher but it never worked, everyone knows the gate code so whats the point of it being gated, the maintenance staff sucks, i came home from lunch one day to find a worker in our apartment without our permission or a work order, our mailbox never stayed closed so the mailman wouldnt leave our mail because anyone could get it, I STRONGLY ADIVSE ANYONE CONSIDERING LIVING HERE TO KEEP LOOKIN BECAUSE YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIVE HERE, i forgot to add that when we moved out about 3 wks ago, it was our responsibility to come back to get our move out statement, now how professional is that to where you cant even mail it to my new place, LAZY ASS STAFF THATS WHAT YOU CALL IT
Horrible. Place has gone to hell since the new owners. The staff is nice when you first are trying to get the apartment, but after your locked in a contract they cant be any more rude. And UGGHHHH the new damn gate system is a piece of work...it decides when to work and when not to. By the time someone finally gets it to open all 10 cars are camped out more frustrated than ever before. I hate it here.
Awful management. Rude office workers. Slow and inconsistent maintenance. Overpriced. One of the worst apartments I have ever lived in. If you value your money, do not spend it here.
