I got the job I wanted, it was awesome π
Great place to work, highly recommended, staff is awesome! There is great team work and communication. The staff and management is awesome, they will always do anything to make sure everything is up to date.
Absolutely avoid this place. Dont put your loved ones here and definitely dont work here. I cant even begin to tell you the disaster of this place. Its dirty they cant pass their state inspections and have failed many years in a row. they dont train anyone. They dont care if the staff can do what they need to do to care for your family they just need warm bodies. Worst experience I have ever had.
I work there
I live strive for the individuals that we serve, I strive to succeed in helping others to succeed to their full potential within the community!!
Great staff, my son felt welcomed by them and really enjoyed his experience. I look forward to working with you in the future!
Amazing people doing amazing things for our community.
Good people providing help for a group that are underreported
I worked at stive for a total of 5 months. From the beginning of my training it was nothing but crazy. We had a 3 week planned schedual for training and not 1 single day went as planned and they were always switching days around. Not even my 1st week of being in training i was asked to work an over night when i have had absulutly no experience in the homes and didnt know what i was doing. When i started working in the homes everything was going great! I was enjoying my job. In training they told us we had to do observation of med passes and then our med final to get our QMAP so that we could pass meds. Which i did all of those i got my paperwork signed and gave to my house lead. 2 weeks later i was told that they never recieved my paperwork and that i had to take the QMAP class over again (during the day) and i work nights. Which means for 2 days in a row i would be working 19 hour shifts back to back with 6 hours of sleep in between. Once i finally got my QMAP, stive was so short staff that they were making everyone do maditory overtime and pick up an extra 8 hours a week and if you failed to do so there would be disciplinary actions. Ive seen many things working for this company that are beyond not okay. For one they force the guys out of there homes from 9am-3pm and they close the house down during that period of time. When it comes to meds there is so many staff that think its okay to pop everyones meds 2 hours ahead of time and give them all at one time. On-call staffing is always harrassing you about picked up extra shift even with the over time we are required. And then on top of that half the people in the company or so damn lasy they cant even do what is expected of them to do. My advice, dont ever work for strive. They are suppose to have 90 DSPS and are currently at 16. There is talk of closing down the main building and trying to put as many individuals into house homes as they can. Super unprofessional and managment is running the company into the ground!
I have had numerous times to get ahold of strive sarah or sharon to discuss how I help strive to help my daughter get out of place into a host home i ask which they said i would get reimburse back never did they say one thing do another not right
They serve alot of people with disabilities
A nightmare, arrogance, harassment, intimidation. They are currently demanding caregivers work mandatory overtime. A very, very stressful environment and management obviously doesnot care.
They have amazing programs.
