Had to spend hours here because they cancelled my entire households insurance under the premise that we no longer lived in Colorado or received disability. Shouldn’t have to fix their mistakes that are so erroneous such as insinuating we moved out of state.

I had called to get a replacement card because someone stole mine and all I did was get the runaround and then I had two people tell me you guys set appointments and one lady tell me you dont. Then when everything was done she said she was sending me my card and I still have not receive it.

Pure evil, thats the one word I would describe as DHS. They will destroy any childs life without the bat of an eye to benefit themselves. They tried to sweep our case under the rug and get rid of my siblings to cover their tracks. Absolutely no consideration of anyone but themselves, theyll hire a panel of lawyers before they consider doing something right for a child.

This may be the absolute worst automated system Ive ever tried to navigate. Im just trying to find out why my food stamps were not put on my account, I had a person to explain my issue to before they send me to another machine .

This is the most pathetic place...the people are useless and think they are better then you...my family as been here twice and received no help..they tell you to bring verification but then kick you out because the front desk is rude and you call them out

I was told by human services and section 8 that the landlords could charge whatever they want to including a damage deposit, pet deposit for emotional support animals with a doctors letter, first and last months rent, which Section 8 doesnt cover. All of which are incorrect. If they are enrolled in a federal housing program, they cannot charge whatever they want to. In addition, charging pet deposits for emotional support animals with a doctors letter is also illegal, especially with those with sever social phobias. Also, charging what Section 8 wont even cover is an accessibility issue and a financial burden to the disabled and low income. What is going on here?

The many one star reviews here pretty much say it all already. For many years the people in this establishment, especially the child support division, have brought harm to children and greater discord to already broken relationships. My story begins when my ex and I agreed to 50/50 and no child support, but these individuals disagreed. Therein, they made my exs first child legally mine since he had no established father, set our parenting to 75/25 in her favor and made me pay her for both children. For several years we fought this, to no avail. The only way out is an adoption of the child to her new husband. Still, with her moving away and custody time changing again, they decided it was finally appropriate to treat the children separately since they lived in different states. In doing this, they changed the child support to where my ex now has to pay me. Therein, they assigned her several months of arrears payments and refused to offset mine. As a result, we spent almost two years paying one another child support for the children, to the benefit of nobody really. Still, they claim it was all for the children, despite holding several hundred dollars of both my and my exs money for several days a month.Just imagine how much they make each day off the interest of their master account.Anyway, any time you try and get it corrected, they treat you like filth and do everything they can to punish you. Despite being current on my payments, because they charged me arrears, they have kept many of my license and passport from me. The only thing the people here want is control, and they will do everything in their power to exercise that control on everyone. With the years of comments, it is clear the whole department needs replaced and all accounts of the past several years need investigated for department fraud.(P.S. been waiting almost a week for them to post my final payment after they overdrew my taxes then returned me too much money)

Id give zero stars if I could. Mainly in regards to child protective services. They are completely useless. The entire department needs to be reevaluated and more closely supervised.

Over the years I have reached out on behalf of my mom to the Purple Team multiple times. Every time, would be on the phone or in person, the staff were kind and helpful. Thank you.

Mess County DHS is absolutely the most courteous and efficient DHS office l have ever encountered anywhere in Colorado. Kudos to the staff and much appreciation.

They denied me, a 21 year old single mom struggling to put food on the table for my child. All because I’m 21 and I rent a room from acquaintances because they are older than 22. Yea, we help the public, such lies.

I have had nothing but problems. I had to fix my sons Medicaid on my own. Thats not my job! They simply can not add my pay stubs!! Where do you hire these rude uneducated people? Applied for leap had to fill out another form took it in to the. Women said she faxed the info and never did. Got denied because she didnt do what she said she did. I dont want to be in this forever. But have to live at DHS three days a week to explain to them how to add my pay stubs to get my gross amount. Had to call and fix my sons medicaid cause they messed it up. I should get paid for the 8 hours I did your job for you!!!!! Will be back down there Monday!!!!

This place is a joke. They don’t return calls and when you call to much they get butt hurt about it and ask you not to call so many times. Months before you see results and case officers always on out of the office. Do your job and leave your incompetence at the door I could do your job faster and better with half the training.

The wait wasnt very long at, and the lady that interviewed us was awesome! The only down side is that for some reason even though the computer said we are approved, the money hasnt gone on our card....when I called to find out what was going on, the woman that answered the phone asked me to hold while she looked into it and threw me into a voicemail...not only once though, when I called back she did it again 😒

How do i apply for the money to help pay rent for covid 19

Never responded to concerns about children in an unsafe environment. Said they went to the home and no one answered the door when they knocked, so they closed the case. Due to the lack of response children stayed in unsafe environment and were eventually taken away when parent and current significant other were arrested and failed to appear to court for allegations of domestic violence. The system has failed these poor kids making them not only victims of those circumstances, but of the system as well.

No one calls you back.

It is going to take a couple of weeks to get my granddaughter removed from her parents account and moved to my Senior. Very courteous people, they are overwhelmed by paperwork. But they are trying and they remain patient. I am so glad the help is there.

Place is a joke, strange how Mesa county lets people recieve welfare and child support while they were in comcor and make you pay for their crookedness

The only reason I gave them a star is because you have to this place is a joke of an office child support there is a mess they dont know what the hell there doing and you can go I. There and talk to different people and none of them will give you important info they need to get some real training if there going to work there so if i need to deal with child support again i wouldnt use them ever again and to get them to return a call wont happen for weeks I would drive 2 hours away before I deal with that office ever again worst office ever

Cant do their job, plain and simple.
