Excellent, on all fronts. Small auto shop but every staff member is honest and experienced, theyve done multiple jobs on my car, ranging from cleaning my air filter to replacing my catalytic converters! They know what theyre doing and do it quick and for a FRACTION of the cost from other shops in my experience. They worked with me and I received the best possible service for my unique situation. Their work made my car pass the dreaded emissions test. (Mustang 1995). My thanks go out to the owner Don, and his team of auto technicians. 10/10 will recommend to friends and family.
The owner Don is a straight shooter and has always taken good care of me
Only shop I go to for my vehicle and I live in Gilbert. I have recommended clients to the shop and nothing but good feedback. I will continue to recommend.
My truck was shaking, very bad, going just 20-30 miles an hour,,,,Craig called me after I had left, within a couple of hours with analysis and price, I told him to proceed, picked my truck the next day, ran smooth problem fixed,, I am happy! Craig greeted me when I walked through the door, totally professional, I was also happy with the price, I never got the runaround pricing quote as other shops due... TAKE your car or truck here you will not be disappointed!!! Great Mechanics to!!
Was very great. Staff was friendly and very affordable.
I had a mechanic that I had been going to for years. Then he retired. But before he did, he told me to go to Champs for auto repair. He told me they were honest and wouldnt rip me off. They have lived up to their reputation. Whenever Ive needed anything from a simple oil change to a major repair, they have been very honest and the work is absolutely the best! My car is a 2004 and it runs better than most new cars on the road. I credit that to maintenance and great mechanics who help me maintain my vehicle. They are always very kind and take time to listen whenever I try to describe whats going on. They always know whats going on, too. Ive recommended them to my friends and will always recommend them for as long as theyre in business. Ill never go to anyone else as long as I live in the Phoenix area. Theyll never do you wrong! They are the best!
Broke down by pump #11 at Chevron on 51st Avenue and Peoria called Champs and they were there in a flash! So thankful we called these guys... gave us a ride home & towed the van & fixed it!!! THANK YOU CHAMPS!❤ WE WILL BE BACK!
Everyone was honest with what needed to be done. Nobody tried to sell me on more than what I asked for. Also they are very reasonably priced
Honest and high quality work!Thank you.
If you care at all about your car stay away from this place
I wish I would have known about this shop 2 months ago! I would have saved hundreds of dollars. These guys are great! Straight forward and no unnecessary repairs! They checked out my problem, fixed it and I had my car back within a few hours for very reasonable cost. If your tired of being ripped off by car guys... Definitely go see the guys at Champs,. You wont be sorry!
Working with Tim this afternoon was really easy. He quickly took my phone call, accessed my situation and was able to fit me in for an appointment for the same day. (They close at 2pm on Saturdays)My car had a dead battery and so I needed a quick replacement to get me back on the road for the weekend. When I arrived, he quickly tested my battery and found the one he needed locally, gave me a quote to repair, and got the vehicle in service within 15 minutes of getting in.The entire service took less than an hour, Mel did an awesome job and I am happy I gave them the call.Thank you guys so much!
I stopped in to see if I could get my car in asap for an oil the guy checked on availability and tells me he can get me in right then and it would take 30 minutes they had it done in 20 mins price was normal for my car. Thanks guys I will be back.
Craig is the absolute best that there is out there
Helped me out when I got the wrong parts and stayed late to help. Very helpful
When It comes to customer service, Champs gets 5. I had a repair covered on warranty. Thank you to Don & Craig and the good people at CARS, they do not BS and only recommend what is necessary. They handled their job professionally and went above and beyond to ensure my vehicle ran properly and is safe for my family. I would recommend CARS and will use them again if the need rises.Update: Stop reading reviews and Go to CARS, they will treat you with courtesy and professionalism.Update: My Truck runs better then she ever ran, thanks again to Don, Craig, and the good guys at CARS. My family and I I are very thankful and grateful.
Revising my previous review. After a not-so-optimal experience my first visit to this location, I had a much better one this time. I used to go to the Dysart location when I lived in El Mirage, and always had great service. Today I can definitely say the same for Peoria. Much thanks to Craig for taking care of things. Will see you again.
I want to give a big thank you to Tim & his crew at the Champs location on 51st Ave & Peoria. I walked in near closing time on Friday for an oil change, they did not turn me away, they took care of me without hassle or rushing, & stayed a few mins late to get it done. They were very professional and did a good job! Also, they sanitized everything as I was there.THANK SO MUCH!
I have been taking my Dodge Ram to this shop since my Father told me about them. If you are looking for that small town mechanic, personal and caring experience, look no further. The quality of workmanship is second to non and the prices are more than fair. They use high quality parts, you have to request cheap components. No joke, try them once and you will have a mechanic for life!
They have worked on 2 cars of mine... the work they have done and the consultations on my 75 Cutlass Supreme..has been awesome..
I truly appreciate the way Champs Auto conducts business, no 16. 99 oil change lost leader, only to find hundreds of dollars of erroneous repairs needed on your car. Ive been going to Champs for about 2 years Craig and the guys there are honest up front and no BS
I found this place on google, it was close to my home so I gave them a call. When I gave them a call, Tim answered the phone & immediately helped me. They were able to tow my car from my house to the shop. They performed a diagnostic test BEFORE doing any extra work. Tim gave me call & gave me options. It was a great experience with Champs, I would HIGHLY recommend this place!
Good service quick clean right and at a reasonable price
Repairing my vehicle right the first time. Not having a problem with it yet. They did it for a very reasonable price.
As always completely satisfied, mechanics are Professional and always do quality work, quotes are accurate within dollars, most cases Car is repaired same Day, Trustworthy company, I am a customer for Life .
Champs has always done a great job at a fair price on my Jeep. They inspect the vehicle and physically show me what needs to be done without trying to upsale other maintenance issues. I highly recommend them.
My Champs car brake repair experience was 5 stars. Honest estimate, quick efficient repair by a professional staff. Highly recommend have a your vehicle repair & service at Champs on 51st & W. Peoria. Stan H.
The service at this auto repair shop is honest. That is more valuable to me than low cost or convenience, which means I will go out of my way and pay more than I might otherwise pay elsewhere. The mechanics know what they are doing and the man in charge (the owner? Manager? Not sure) will treat you right no matter who you are. Ive been treated with the same respect and dignity as any of the other customers Ive watched them interact with while waiting for my repairs.Speaking of the repairs: They always try to make repairs super-quick. Ive done walk-ins and had my vehicle fixed the same day.
Awesome job at fixing whatever problem I have with my vehicle at the time great customer service and Great Quality of work
They dont do oil changes on diesel? Its just a filter and oil like any other car. Id be careful with a mechanic who doesnt feel comfortable with oil changes on a diesel.
I recommend this place to the fullest. The tech will also take the time to work with you if you have any questions or concerns. This place is the best and I wont go anywhere else!
Good prices for ac rechargeNice customer serviceVery fast service
Very dissatisfied with their professionalism, customer service and lack of importance to my needs as a customer. Called twice to get a general price quote (in a two week period) and was told I would be called right back and they NEVER did. Not to mention the lack of courtesy and help on the phone! Champs isnt worth your precious time or your hard earned money. Much better off at Daves Automotive! Great service!
This is where I go when I need fair and honest work done. They have taken care of my oil changes and major repairs on three of my cars now.I found them a few years ago when my car broke down on the side of the road. They could of ripped me off by charging me their original quote over the phone. They arranged the tow and quickly diagnosed the problem. It wasnt what we thought and the bill was hundreds of dollars less than I was expecting! This is the place to go for quick, quality work. I have been back several times and never observed them lying to me or any other customers.
Pretty expensive, $85 an hour for labour, you can just walk in but you might be waiting a couple hours it is better to call ahead. The customer service overall was pretty amazing everyone is so nice, they have water and coffee in the lobby. We had to get a part ordered but needed our car to work right now so they did a temporary fix for us to get us on our way until the part came in. I would recommend Champs to my family if they can afford it.
Had A/C work and Steering work done over the coarse of 5 weeks. Don and his crew were great at resolving my issues and had me back on the road. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks again Don.
Once again Im very impressed with this shop, i had an alternator replaced last year and it went bad, champs replaced it at warrantee, no charge.3/30/15fair and honest. I used to do my own repairs. But with all the new technology Im a little lost. Brought a car there for a minor repair got great service and fair pricing. Been going there ever since. I recommend champs to anyone needing service.
Most honest and fair priced shop
I would recommend champs to anyone. Respectful helpful honest and quick crew. A place a women can go to and trust what they tell u is honest. Thank u Champs
Craig was really great. Service was great and the price was right. Had a/c compressor installed. Got quote from another shop and it was 500.00 more. Would recommend this shop to anyone. Customer for lifeNeil Marks
Ive been going to Champs for over 10 years. Great people, great service, and honest quality work.
Love the placeCreate customer service
Very trustworthy place
Honest repair shop that gets the job done rifgt!
After over $3,000 worth of work (some that I didnt need) I have had to return my car for the same issues 3 times, and it still doesnt work. It not only has had 2 compressors put in, but the second one was described to replace defective compressor that THEY had just put in at another location. They replaced an ignition coil that can be purchased anywhere from $40 to $70, that they say cost $152. My ac still doesnt work, and my car just died, wont start at all. Dont chance it !!
Quality work performed in a timely and professional manner. big thumbs up for the top class customer service!
Great Customer service..has always manage to get any Auto service done great $$
Slight delay in time when I got there but nothing serious. A fery through car inspection that told me everything that was wrong with the car I was about to buy. Would definitely recommend
I picked this shop from Google maps because of their rating and close to home. I called the shop to explain I had 1978 mini bus with a chevy C30 V8 that needed a igniting switch, distributor assembly replaced in one day. ...he said come on in and didnt even flinch it was a bus. After they looked at it, since it was an old vehicle...it needed spark plugs change, spark plug wires, timing set and adjustment of the carburetor. The labor, parts pricing was very reasonable.Thank you to Tim and especially Mechanics Adam and Mel who worked on it between working on other cars and even stayed over their normal shift to get it done. This shop went beyond what I would of expected. Very impressed, very much appreciate their commitment on getting it done and sticking to their word on the extremely fast turn around. A million thanks to CHAMPS Automotive Repair!!!
Very quick and professional. I like how they provide you options and time frame on when it should be fixed! Thank you Champs! I will be back and tell family and friends where to go.
My AC was blowing hot and they fixed it at a good price thats why I recommend this place to everyone that needs a very cold AC
I just came across there bill from 2013. All these reviews giving good reports, must be getting paid, dont know they have been conned or lying. 2013 I went in to have the old gas removed and new gas put in. When they started up the engine, they said gas was leaking from the Carburetor, so I asked them to tighten the screws below and it stopped leaking. They had no business at the time so they were looking for work! i let them rebuild part of the Carburetor (they didnt know who to do a full rebuild) but when my own mechanic was free, he was mad at me for falling for the con. Never again.
I have no idea how cars work but they fixed ours so five stars
The only place I take my vehicles to.
I went in this morning, the guy managing the front desk was the worst. I asked a few questions regarding an oil change and he had the worst attitude. He made it APPARENT that he wasnt going to work on my car today, i had to do an appointment, which i was fine with. I asked for a specific brand since my car is fairly new and i wanted to use the oil the dealership was using. He laughed at me and tried to make me understand the brand was just a label and their oil was the same in quality. He found my preferred brand and gave me a higher price laughed again that i was paying for a label not quality. To top it off, he said the next available date was a week from today... I finally just said i would go through my dealership for the oil change which ended up being cheaper, and he still had no care in the world. Hope no one else receives this kind of service from this gentlemen, too bad he represented the company in the worst way.
Exceptional, professional service and no games. Reasonable prices. They take the time to talk to you about what your car needs and dont push extras.
Wow, I was a very upset customer after having to deal with Ken a month ago. I went into their office today to get our free oil change and that was going to be the last time I went to Champs. Jesse came out while I was waiting and acknowledged my original bad review, and asked if there was anything he could do to have me give Champs a second chance. I told him that there was an engine code error, and he gladly took car of it and replaced the spark plugs. Thanks for promoting Jesse to manager and got rid of that Ken guy. You guys have now earned my business back! See you guys on Friday.
Never ever under any circumstances take your car to this place. Ever. Not even for a tire pressure check.
Great staff very professional
Friendly staff and was able to get to my vehicle quickly.
I showed up with a hose squirting gasoline on to the engine and the Service Advisor Jesse took swift and immediate action to resolve my issue. He made sure that my problem was resolved right away and had me back on the road in time to pick up my kids from school. Thanks again to Jesse and Adam for doing a great job.
We brought it in for warranty work and found it wasnt the problem . We thank you guys for explaining it. We will be back. Thanks guys
Champs is FANTASTIC!! Specially Tim he always goes above and beyond to assist you and all your car care needs. The staff is great !! If you are looking for an honest trustworthy shop CHAMPS is it.
I took both my Honda and my wifes kia in to the new shop on Thunderbird in Peoria this week and had such a wonderful experience. Everything was great... from the customer service to the prices, to the clean shop atmosphere. I def. recommend champs and ask for Don:)
Tim is a pretty rude and disrespectful guy. Trying to make you look like the bad guy, avoid them. Dudes gotta realize that some things are not anyones fault.
Worst Place, took my AC compressor to be installed then they told me my fan was crack gave a price and agreed, when they removed the fan the move the connection for my fan clutch and they didnt put back correctly so the fun broke the connection and bracket, they told me was due to the age of my truck, I fired back told the I will send them a letter requesting payment for damages, they told me they have to take they money off the mechanic packets so I bought the Fan Clutch and told them to do the installation for free which they agree, after being installed the mechanic call me to tell me the AC line was leaking and didnt have any problems before, he told me was a coincidence. WRONG
( not sure who the gentleman working was who I spoke with on the phone, would like to know who, so I could tip them for their kindness and the ease of mimd it provided knowing thos shop was willing to help in any way possible) Before explaining why first Id like to suggest anyone looking for auto repairs to go to Champs directly across from Daves in the same Sprouts lot, amazing customer service over at Champs, their the champ! Daves wouldnt loosen an axle nut that was seized on my mothers vehicle for me even if the vehicle was towed in. I didnt care about any fees related for the service as it would have been a time saving convenience. They talk about being a caring family business however, could care less if the full buck isnt going their way apparently. They did a great job diagnosing my truck once before when I took it in, paid for the diagnosis and initially was happy with their service so, I thought Id continue to bring my business there. In the end 2 breaker bars later (one busted) I was able to free it myself, just before breaking it loose I had contacted Champs auto shop (located in the same sprouts shoppong center parking lot) who kindly answered the phones with, how can I make your day better, after explaing the situation they then said, no problem bring it down, Im sure we can help you out and break it free. I gave it one last try before taking it to Champs, needless to say the axle nut finally came free. Ill be tipping out Champs just for their kindness and willingness to help me out. I would recommend Champs off 51st ave and peoria same lot as Daves Car care any day. Guaranteed better service and willingness to help get you back on the road!
Very professional, fast, fairly priced and not aggressively pushy on the upsales of additional services.
Glad I was at home and not on the road when it came time to remove the tire nuts they overtorque(free tire rotation with oil change). Even my 200 lb. neighbor couldnt budge a single one with the cars lug wrench. I now stow a can of wd-40 and an extension bar in preparation of helping a motorist in a similar situation.
Im fairly self-sufficient and am pretty competent when it comes to fixing things. However, I was having a persistent electrical problem with my 2004 Dodge Ram diesel truck and was running out of options. I had already replaced the alternator, both batteries, two relays, and the ECM (Electronic Computer Module). The problem wasnt solved.Additionally, I had lost faith in Larry Miller Dodge to repair my truck and do it cost-effectively. After all, they wanted over $3K for parts/labor to replace the ECM while I did it myself for under $800. Might I remind you that the ECM didnt fix my problem.I finally searched around for shops with expertise in electrical issues and came across Champs. I spoke with Todd and he was happy to take a look at it. Although his schedule was busy the first day, he squeezed me in Tuesday and was able to identify that the new alternator from OReillys was faulty. He contacted me and asked if I had the receipt, which was at home. I could bring it to him later. A few minutes later, he called back and said he had spoken with OReillys to verify my customer info, verify my warranty, and get a replacement sent to his shop asap. He got everything repaired and my truck was healthy again by the end of the day.Todd went above and beyond what I asked and expected. Its sadly a rare thing to get such great customer service, but I did at Champs. Thanks Todd!
Havent had work done there yet, but figured I would throw a PROPS out to Champs for help this Thanksgiving weekend. Short back story is, day after Thanksgiving our tradition is to load up the truck and head to Show Low to cut our Christmas tree. Had over things loaded and when I closed the garage door I looked to see a puddle of tranny fluid under the truck. I found it was a cooling line and needed a shop close I could take it (have been unhappy with dealer services and especially pricing lately), so found Champs on Maps. I called and the gentleman on the phone was taking down my info and when I mentioned the problem, he stopped me and said, as much as he would like my business I should call the dealer because he recalled that cooling line being recalled and I might be able to get it replaced free. I will tell ya, in a sea of repair shops that put money over service, that was refreshing. So just a quick thanks for that. I try to do all my own work, but if something beyond my tool kit or skills comes up youll be seeing me. Thanks.
Great service, would recommend.
I have been with them since they started in business.
Not too cheap, try to up sell you on iffy repairs
Very good stuff and services with good prices and treatment
Dependable, professional and honest, which is rare in todays world.
Abit more expensive than I would like but very well manered and good work
Good honest fair service
Very good service very satisfied
THEY DO NOT WARRANTY THEIR WORK! MORE DETAILS TO COME!
Wont be taking my truck back here again. Went in for an oil change, about a couple weeks later I kept smelling burning oil. Turns out they stripped my oil filter and all the oil was leaking out underneath my truck. Cost me $300 dollars to have everything replaced and cleaned up at another shop.
Excellent service 👍
They did not solve the problem I went in with, but fixed something else that really didnt need fixing because they couldnt figure out what did need fixing. I had used them before and they did ok so I wont rate them at the bottom but not at the top.
Over priced and staff are rude!
Wonderful to work with and very trustworthy!!
Sadly disappointed.
Im going with Jesse!
