They dont pay on time! Its stressful not knowing if youre going to be paid Friday or have to wait until the following week. When you confront them they act rude as if its your bank fault. They submit direct deposit on Friday and expect it to clear the same day. Payroll should be submitted 1-2 business days before payday not the day of. Missed Paydays are too common. Ive been a victim of it so has numerous of my co-workers.Ive been assigned to jobs with other temp agency employees working in the same building doing the same work as staffmark employees. The only difference was the other temp agencies were getting paid $5 more per hour and getting their checks late Wednesday or Thursday although they werent supposed to get paid until Friday. Staffmark is greedy and unprofessional. There are so many other temp services in LA please stay clear of this one.

I would not recommend working for this place unless you want to be worrying about if youre going to get paid every Friday or paid at all! I stayed here for a few weeks and staying here for a few weeks was too long. First week that I worked here I didnt get paid at all on Friday. I had to wait until Monday. I worked through Staffmark at Newgistics, and when I was working there they had us sign in and out on a little raggedy paper; we signed in in the morning, out for lunch, back in for lunch and out at the end of the day on this paper. After a while they gave us badges and then we were clocking in on these raggedy time clocks.The last straw for me was when I got a paycheck that was for $145, and they said I worked 15 hours when I actually worked 32 hours!!! I went through all of my wage statements and the hours looked like they were modified with. If you want to stress about your paychecks every week then I recommend working here!The guy Allen was doing the payroll and he got upset with me when I accused them of stealing labor hours from me. Im the only one that should be upset because Im the one that never got paid on time!!!And Newgistics is a terrible place to work; lots of childish drama at Newgistics.

Lady at the far end desk did not get her name was extremely rude. And neither one of the workers care to acknowledge anyone who walks in. Busy or not they need have A1 customer service and being a staffing agency should want to have a good atmosphere. The place is sketchy, rude employees, had to walk out

Rude employees. Nobody ever returns your phone call or emails. Good luck trying to get paid. I was supposed to be paid last friday and according to Jesse my hours were turned in late. Well here it is Monday and still no paycheck. I tried to text Jesse from Staffmark to inquire and now he has my number blocked from his phone which is very unprofessional! I call the office and without even finishing her sentence you get put directly on hold and nobody ever comes back to the phone. These agencies think that just because they help us get jobs that they can treat us any way they want. I would not recommend working for this agency.

Aside from 1 month out of a whole year and I have a friend who never is out of work - I always have full time work with Staffmark. Never had to worry. See the key with Staffmark is being patient and doing what you need to do. Calling once a week when available, arriving to ALL JOBS 15 mins early. Putting away my cell phone until breaks/lunch. Listening to instructions.If you dont do that - the staff will have a hard time finding work for you since you dont follow instructions. Many who have trouble with Staffmark are the type who want to talk on their phone at the wrong time, show up late constantly or wait until the last minute to show up, and dont listen to instructions. None of the employers will waste their time with you - you wont get a warning - just get sent home.The people who do listen get moved to the top of the list and tend to get first calls for a job when they call in available. Or stick with a company for months and tend to get hired.As of right now - they have 2 good jobs and they are long hours with plenty of overtime - but the perks are awesome. Especially the pay and steady work. If you have RF scanner experience or got a food handlers certification - go for Staffmark. And, these employers will buy you lunch from time to time and other things.When arriving for the first time --- Be patent when you arrive, bring your two forms of ID, and one of the staff will call you when they get off the phone. They dont use a secretary, so dont think they are ignoring you or something. Each of the staff deal with all assignments and calls, so it can get busy at times. The rest of the process is pretty straightforward. And everyone in the office is awesome.

This agency is trash . They dont care about their employees. They dont care if you get paid correctly or on time. call them and it would take long for them to reply. We need laws that can end the agencies ability to terminate their employees from a assignment just because they dont like the person. They dont have a sense of urgency to give people work. They know they have work and they wont care to help. Stay away from staffmark !!!!

If i could give 0 stars i would, This place is by far the worst agency, i called to get a job and spoke to MARINA (dont see how shes the manager) and she was assigning me to a job literally telling me what to wear and what time to be there etc she put me on hold and gave the job to someone else and came back on the line and acted as if she wasnt just telling me about a job, and was Rude and said they dont have any jobs available when she was literrally telling me about an available position ... So i called today to see about a job and they told me my account was terminated because i was upset about not getting a job which was not the case at all.. The problem is they pick and choose who they want to give a job to which is mainly hispanics they are the definition of discrimination!!

They set me up for a job at 5am and when I got there after driving 30 minutes I was turned away because I was given the incorrect persons name to report to then when I call they procrastinate on letting me know if I can return to the job site and continue the assignment so after about 3 phone calls the lady finally tells me some one else got the position!! Totally unprofessional, unorganized and needs to be under new management.

Completely the worst and most unprofessional agency ever...dont waste your time coming there! I called into this Torrance Staffmark and was told that they had a position for me by representative Allen. When I arrived no one greeted me, I introduced myself. I was sat down with Branch Manager Marina Berber to start the onboarding process. While I was sitting there she was taking personal phone calls and cursing. Next to her was another representative Yvette who I could hear arguing via phone with an employee about late checks that had not arrived from FedEx. At this point I almost walked out the door because the staff was so discourteous. I was told that Allen the agent/rep who called me in to do onboarding and application was gone (but he was there the whole time in back room eating a lunch). I completed the Onboarding process and asked receptionist to print the handbook and other documents. She expressed she never had anyone ask to print and she didnt know how to work a printer. I called back to check the status of the application today and immediately was put on hold abruptly by Claudia. When she finally answered she was really rude and said they didnt have positions for me. When I asked for other positions she hung up on me. I called back and she pretended that the connection was bad. When I asked again about other positions she started talking in an elevated tone and cursed me out. I then hung up and will not deal with that level of disrespect.

I’ve never worked with a more unprofessional company. The rep asked me what type of work I wanted. I clearly stated ‘clerical/data entry’ where she then sent me to a warehouse position in buisness attire. When I tried to get a hold of the company in regards to the mishap they kept giving me the reach around. I talked to every rep almost, except mine and none of them could help me. Once I got ahold of someone who could he said to call him back and he’d help me better since he was going to talk to the company. I called before 4 and they said he had left for the day. Now I am stuck looking for my rep being told she’s still not there. After finally getting ahold of her all she could say was sorry. Then upon meeting her stated it was a 50:50 job it could of been warehouse or office. So this agency doesn’t go and see what exactly there client is doing they just need a position filled and send whoever. I worked that one day. Now I had signed up for a skylit card which they have failed to give me the 2 times I was there. Now when I managed to call and ask how they planned on paying me they said they didn’t have my time card or couldn’t find it that they’d ‘call me back’ . Worst company ever. Extremely stressful, doesn’t care about their clients, or the jobs they’re being sent too, and now loses time cards. If I could of rated something less than 0 I would have. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

So they request me to come in for a position. I drive all the way there. I get told a man at the desk is to help me. And becuase hes got some where to be he rushes the whole process. Telling me.sign here sign there!. I told him i get copies of these right? His Response.No. i have to be some where in 30 min. I was flabbergasted! So i said well perhaps those women out there chatting away so everyone in the room can hear them can make my necessary copies for me?_. He just stared at me. After 4page signage. He ask if i was familiar with this tea brewing co. I replied yes i drink it all the time kombucha Here comes the next BIG QUESTION THAT HAD ME UPSET..WASTED MY TIME ENERGY AND WHAT LIL GAS I HELD. ARE YOU ALLERGIC TO penicillin?? YES .I AM. He then snatched the papers back and told me well then this doesnt apply to you.. There is a bit of that within the building they make the tea at.. OohMYGOSH. THEY COULD HAVE ASKED ME THIS ON THE PHONE!!!!!

I worked there for almost a month for forklift operator at a job called synceon, never got my full 40 hrs, forgot to clock in and told the on-site manager about the situation, she said she fixed it the next 2 days I couldnt clock in or out and she told me dont worry about it and what do you kno the next week I had an 8 hour check, called her that Friday and explained to her about the situation and she had an attitude gave her my time when I was there and she told me it will be on the next check and here we go again wasnt deposited into my account! I never had a problem with the other staffmark in long Beach other than the recruiter telling me that I was making enough money! I wouldnt dare work with another Staffmark unless they change they staff. Go to Manpower they pay more for your experience, staffmark dont care about your experience they just waiting to make money off you!

They dont communicate often as should be, they lie about me when I really need to see the clinic about my injury but they told the agency I didnt know what to do. They rip you off and do dirty business. I dont trust them anymore and Im done with them. Dont join Staffmark. Trust me. Its not worth of your time.

Its not staffmark but the last location they send me to, the guy ended my assignment for no reason. I needed days off so I can swear into the military.... But he decided to end my assignment instead. Smh its not like I was leaving California right away or the job for that matter.
