Cleaned 18 foot dryer vent, including removing clog and fixing stuck flap at top. Sealed the gooseneck on the roof as it had been letting rain get in (which made the lint form clumps). Really went all out on a super hot day on the roof. Thank you!

Called last night at 9:30 PM had a technician at my door promptly at 8:30 am. He pulled a snake from my coil and replaced the capacitor. Was up and running in no time.

I wanted to replace my 25 year old AC Heat Pump System with a new one before it broke down. Called several companies to compare systems, prices, and availability. Lee Eckert of Gator Air was prompt to respond, provided the best price for a quality new system, and was ready to install within just over a week. They were right on time and completed the entire replacement in about 3 hours, cleaned up, and were gone. I must not forget that communication was key, with frequent updates by Gator Air on delivery status and installation schedule. True professionals.

So I very rarely leave reviews. in fact, I didnt post a review right away, because I want to see how my AC was working out. It has now been almost 3 months and no issues or complaints. I admit, I probably got eight different quotes from different individuals. I wasnt looking for the cheapest thing, but neither the most expensive. I really wanted something that I thought was good quality at a good price. These guys were efficient, intelligent, and by far was the most thorough looking at my house before installation and after. Id recommend them to anybody and I know I will use them in the future. Just so you know, I did not get anything for this review, honestly its just for selfish reasons. I want to promote this company because I want them be around for a long time so I can use them in the future.

Not only did he resolve the problem he went above and beyond to make sure the system was working properly and even did some preventative maintenance so I wouldnt have problems in the future. Too the time to explain everything to me so I understood the problem. Would highly recommend.

A small stain was left on the carpet (which Lacey so graciously offered to try to clean) and the unit had to be inspected twice, however, I would still recommend this company.

Shifty. Recently Gator Air and Energy suggested installing a Ameristar Split Air system in one of my rental properties. Almost 11 months and a week after installation one of the head units failed. Gator AC repaired the unit and billed me $300.00. Reached out to Chuck the owner for a explanation . He stated that these things just happen with splits systems. Interesting that he would recommend a solution that had shown high numbers of failures in my particular application. Further he suggested that my tenant had not properly clean the unit. My tenant states otherwise. Regarding the amount of the invoice. I received a rambling explanation that the job was a 40 minute drive, and he sent 2 techs, and he had been required to purchase a 500.00 pressure washer for working on this type unit? Further he said that the employees had left the office at 8:00 and returned at noon. Honestly - I was left slightly confused.# 1 Why recommend a unit that he knew was not a good fit for the application.# 2 Why send 2 techs for a one person job. My feeling is one of them was a trainee. That is fine. But dont bill me the customer, to train your new hires.# 3 Every specialty job requires specialty tools. Dont try and re coop the entire cost on one job.# 4 - Gator A/C also did not bother to register the warranty for our unit.Nor were we made aware that we needed to.After our conversation I called 2 other companies and received pricing between 95.00 and 175.00. A far cry from 300.00.My conclusion - If you have ever spoken to someone and gotten the feeling they charge whatever they feel they can get away with. That is how I felt after talking with Chuck. He is that guy. If you are watching and quoting him out. You get a lower price. But be careful. If you are not looking. He will run the charges up because he can.Sad. Not a person I chose to continue to do business with.Recap and final thoughts after owners response.Again I stick by my assessment of my transaction with Gator AC. Regarding Gator AC offer to reduce the amount of the original invoice.That is not really the issue. As I mentioned in our conversation the 50.00 reduction was not the issue. Charging a reasonable amount to start with is the issue. We have used your company in the past for other properties.At the start of the relationship your pricing appeared reasonable. Over time your pricing seems to have drifted higher and higher. Our policy is to establish vendors we can trust and use those vendors. You demonstrated that our trust was misplaced.Based on my many years of experience purchasing and contracting maintenance of and for HVAC units this was the worst. Bottomline I do not feel that this company is trustworthy. And I highly recommend using any of the multiple HVAC companies in the area.

Last night (a Saturday) our air stopped working and today (Sunday) we called Gator Air and its back up and running at minimal cost. Matt was helpful and answered all our questions. From the moment we called until the time the air was working was about 3 hours total!

Came home to a hot house and a nest that had a power error on it. Called gator air and they were out within a few hours. Tristan and Robert were great, very professional and got my AC going in no time. I used them a few years ago for my new AC installation and will continue to use them for any maintenance issues.

Gator Air is excellent! I was selling a house that needed a 53 year old AC system removed and replaced with current technology. I called all over Alachua county for weeks and found only two companies who wanted to deal with it. The other company has a good reputation, but they couldn’t match the pricing that Gator Air was able to provide. But this went beyond just a good deal; they provided high quality service with an efficient installation and left everything looking better than before - very detail oriented. Lacey was a pleasure to work with and kept me informed every step of the way - I was never left in the dark.The system runs great and the house is cool again. I purchased a new Trane AC/Heat system from them because Ive known Chuck Larsen for close to twenty years. He has always been honest and an industrious person. In the past he installed another AC/Heat system at another house I owned and repaired the duct work in the house I currently own that was damaged in a Hurricane years ago.
