Went for about 6 months before covid hit and had a very good experience. Lots of good machines that are always functional with staff that is very friendly. I signed a year long contract for a $10 a month membership instead of $15 a month. I ended up paying for the next 6 months not being able to go because of quarantine which was fine. What was not fine was after my 12 month contract ended they continued to charge me $10 a month. What was the point of signing a contract if you can just charge $10 a month when the contract is up. Then they made me come into their location to cancel my membership after paying for 3 extra months I did not know they charged me. Poor business practice, there are dozens of gyms around me Ill just go to them instead.

Loving being able to workout without a mask!!! I appreciated that everyone was still being respectful about keeping a decent distance. The staff were still cleaning and disinfecting at the same pace which was great too! Clean and safe place to work out!

Perfect for the beginning/intermediate health enthusiast. Over 40 treadmills for those just looking to get moving. No squat racks, but they have 4 smith machines that do the job well while staying safe.Everyone there (staff and customers) mind their own business and let you enjoy your workout. Staff is available to set up workout plans and are friendly.

They’re very professional. They clean their equipment every five minutes. I love the environment! Getting a massage before or after your workout session is perfect!!

Burning calories in a clean amd not so crowded gym. Lots of equipment and being a platinum member provides access to hydro massage for 10 mins.Great place to sweat..

I actually have this membership along with another because I love the tanning beds, the hours of operation and the massage machines... I just wish they had heavier free weights to go with it all. Overall, not a bad place to go especially if youre cardio driven or not into body building and just want to lose weight or maintain what you have.

Its a great, clean place to exercise. Has everything you need to meet your exercise goals. I love its open 24hr to meet whatever schedule I need.

Starting to really despise getting up at 3 am to get a workout, to then drive 20 plus minutes to get to the gym and have a sign up at a 24 hour gym that says well be open at 5 am. But thats okay because after looking up other planet fitness I drove yes drove all the way to the facility in Denton, and I gotta say what a gym. The equipment is superb and new looking like its actually being upkept. So no more driving to frisco since they cant seem to have faithful staff to stay open.

Everyone there sits on the equipment while on their phone. The members could care less if someone is waiting on a machine. I can never get a full workout in because of this. Do not join this gym.Answer to your response:The employee at the desk was with customers and then also on their phone. One time I did complain to an employee about everyone doing texting reps he said that he can’t do anything about it and I would just have to wait.

It looks like you can join, but never cancel. I have been trying to cancel my membership for over three months. I followed the instructions on canceling. I have sent two certified letters and one priority mail letter. All have been signed for but they are still debiting my bank account. You ask about the letters and they don’t have them; send another one. This is poor business practices. My next move is a complaint with the BBB.

This gym is good overall but not consistent from gym to gym. They also need to place a gym on 380 between Prosper and Crossroads. They would make a killing as well as fulfilling a huge need.

Overall is a quite gym, but yesterday I went to do my workout and a guy took all the plates (45 and 25 lbs) for the leg press machine. I did complaint at the front desk and they said first come first serve. And does that include that someone can take every single plate? What about those need plates also to work out? Is this is true then Planet Fitness should get plates enough to prevent this happens again. Really disappointed with this gym. I do not recommend it for this reason.

Requires people to clean after they use the equipment, the messages and tanning are very good, and the equipment is clean and none of them are broken.

I appreciate that I can utilize the black card member area and keep my tan and relax. Of course I enjoy the workout equipment. And the cleanliness of the club. Sharaya is a team member that brightens my day with her joy and efficiency.

It was so good to be able to workout without a mask on and nobody treated us any differently. About half had mask on and half did not. Social distancing was being done. There are plenty of cleaning station so the equipment is to be after use. Hand sanitizer around the gymI tried working out with a mask on after working a 12-hour shift wearing a mask and I just couldn’t do it. So this was my first workout in 9-months. .

Good for fitness; Fairly new location. But they don’t have hair dryer and bathroom can be bit dirty. But overall, for workout, it’s an easy and affordable. Good for both casual and serious workout. No heavy weight beyond 160lb (I think) for bench press.

I’m at PF multiple times per week often times multiple times per day!! She is always working hard! I wanted to take the time to recognize the job she does!! Love the playgrounds, park, trail, splash pad, everything is beautiful well kept and kid friendly.

Overall I love PF, but DO NOT GO TO THIS ONE! I saw SEVERAL people not wearing a mask. I was later informed that the owner of the place doesn’t enforce mask wearing inside the gym??!! Not only this is against CDC guidelines, the owner of this specific franchise is putting his employees and the rest of the Frisco community in danger!!!

They dont tell you but they signed me up for a 12 month contract and when i tried to cancel I became aware of it. (to their response that wqas not helpful or relevant at all - I was signing up with the workers at the desk and at no point did they tell me that they were putting me into a commitment when I clearly was trying to sign up month to month. Your response is pointless if you arent willing to help and are just trying to deny the mistake of the staff.

Clean, not too busy, and they have tanning and massage chairs free for black card members. I havent been to many other PF locations but, this one is nice.

Stable gym. Judgement free. Lots of space except for where the dumbbell area but I suppose its for a different market. Theyre actually open 24 hours and have all the essentials and a bit more.

The people are friendly and I love how it is open 24 hours!

Good gym for someone who is mainly into cardio or just started working out but not the best place for someone whos been working out already for a while. Yes, the pricing plans probably are the cheapest out there but it comes with a price. They dont have enough waits, machines and equipments. Especially during seasons when more and more ppl are dragged to the gyms, e.g. beginning of the year this gym gets packet and for sure theyre not able to handle that. That was the main reasons I quit my membership here. But still a good place for a noob or if youre on a tight budget.

I travel consistently for work and have been to about 12-15 different Planet Fitnesses. The equipment here is unfortunately poorly maintained, slides arent greased and stick quite a bit, pins dont lock in fully on some of the machines, and for some reason the machines here do not support much weight (Ex: Hamstring curl only supports 100lbs, most other PFs go up to 250lbs.)

This is a bigger size of Planet Fitness. They have only 2 commodores toilet bowls in men’s bathroom . One of the toilet bowls has been out for over one week and not fixed yet, come on Planet Fitness, there are 3 people waiting in line to use the toilet bowl this morning ! Poor members suffering from poor customer service !!!!!!!!!!

Overall I was hesitant to join and gym because what can you really get that’s good quality for only $10/month?? Planet fitness really changed my mind. As soon as I stepped in the club for the first time, I was welcomed and they made sure I really felt that way. The black card and everything you get for that little of a cost is awesome! The judgement free zone is amazing because there are some days I walk in and don’t feel the best about myself. Still, the staff at the front desk is always there with a smile. Massage chairs, tanning and it’s open 24 hours a day?? Doesn’t get any better than that

Clean location and it has a good lot to park in. Well lit and easy for a semi to park in. Easy to get out. The location was very busy even for the time I was there, 11 pm to 1 am.

Been going here for months, and lately more and more people arent wearing masks. Today barely half of the gym was wearing one. Got people surrounding the cleaning station without masks. Out of everyone working out in the elliptical row only one person had a mask. This isnt safe and Planet Fitness doesnt care.

There needs to be more enforcement of the mask policy, there were several people working out not wearing masks or halfway wearing it, where only their mouths were covered. People are getting too comfortable and letting their guard down. There should some routine check where staff walk the club to ensure people are following proper safety precautions.12/27/20 Follow up: Still have more than half of people not wearing masks, brought up the issue to a staff member, as directed and they did ask a couple of others to cover up. As another staff member clocked in, they could have had them do a quick round to kindly remind others to follow suit while the other was checking people in, that didn’t happen. I understand it can be difficult at times to ensure people are doing the right thing but it is a public health concern and should be a priority. I will not be returning. It’s upsetting that more isn’t being done.

As a Black Card member I utilize quite a few locations. This location is a 10. However, your staff refuses to enforce the mandatory mask requirements implemented from the state of Texas. If members don’t want to wear masks fine. But your staff needs to tell them to either put a mask on or leave. So if a few members quit in protest? Fine.Folks this is an easy fix. And BTW, this is happening at locations that I work out at not only here but in Conroe, Columbia, MO, Hartford, IL, OKC, Pittsburgh and others. Your staff says that this directive came from PF Corporate. Shame on you.

Charged my frozen account without prior notification. They charged me for the new annual membership, knowing that I have not used the facility for a year and am not planning to do so anytime soon. I requested credit on the first day of the new annual cycle, but manager on duty rejected my request.This is the worst customer service I have experienced with any decent business, charging me for a service that I had requested to be canceled, it is unfair and rediculous.

I love the atmosphere. Gettin back in the gym was a struggle for me. Being a mom of two school aged children, a wife, and a full time floor nurse my schedule almost made it impossible. The convenient hrs of operation and the hospitality of the staff was the boost i needed.

Great today, not busy around 11

The only reason I keep a membership here is for the tanning benefit. Came in today and only one of the stand up beds are “up and running”. Got in it and it was very dirty and 11 of the bulbs were out. Extremely disappointed. Probably going to another franchise to work out and get a tanning membership separate.

To start off with everything they’ve been missing both 60lbs barbells for about a year now.. however the issues go a lot farther than that.. this being on the nice side of Dfw you would think that the standards would be a little bit higher but nonetheless it lives up to its gross counterparts around Dfw.. every shower curtain has this gross mold on it.. as well as the tile in the showers.. orange mold or grime.. as well as black mold.. it’s like they don’t pressure wash or something.. I didn’t feel it appropriate to post a photo on how disgusting the toilets and urinals were but trust me they were disgusting. I’ve attached photos and tho they won’t be seen directly under this review you can find them on the google map photos.. they had their janitorial closet open as well which was laughable because nothing was clean in the gym. The janitorial closet looks so disgusting with poop rags and dirty tissues spread around. I brought all this to the attention of the short haired female manager who was working on 08/05/2019 around 12pm and she could not care less.. the photos that I’m attaching are the same photos I showed her and she said they’ll try to get to it at some point.. so I’m sure three weeks from now it’ll all look the same.. not to mention there was cigars with loose tobacco all over the floor in the men’s lockeroom and gross car hair all over the benches and floors near the free weights.. this place is sad.. management needs to be turned over here 100% and new managers need to be trained or brought in.

Oh what a lousy place this is, they are flouting all the safety norms of a fitness center, no masks, no limitations on the number of people, complained to the front desk kids, no action whatsoever, with the Covid killing 400k people, are they for real? Health department officials must review places like these that violate the norms.

Surprisingly its not a hug hassle with wearing a mask in the gym. Most of everybody is practicing social distancing. Staff members are constantly wiping down the machines and weights. A big 👍!

Tried to sign up tonight - 11/30/2020. The girl told me to get the app. I downloaded the app, but never got the email to verify it. Asked the girl why it wasn’t working, and since it wasn’t if she could just do it from her computer. Her respond was “well i can, but you should’ve gotten an email....” and then proceeded to not help. Just very rude.Won’t be coming back, that’s for sure.

The ‘free WiFi’ is a joke. I’ve been going for two weeks and still haven’t been able listen to Spotify, YouTube, or refresh email while working out.The selection of weight equipment is very limited and poor. Free weights consist of dumbbells only up to 75 lbs, and the closest thing to being able to squat or bench are the smith machines. There are much better equipped gyms in this price point.

If you can walk around your house then you don’t need to come to this place, they have 600 treadmill and bicycles, if you want to build up muscles then you have to wait in line, every day from 4 to 9 you can only do cardio which sucks, the place is big but they don’t have the right machines, 3 rooms are wasted Full of useless machines, plus I cancelled 6 months ago and they couldn’t do that right because they duplicated my account and here I’m with 180$ fees because their employees did a wrong thing, o asked the manager but she said that I have to pay, one last thing new TEXAS Family fitness opened on 423 & main, that place is a real gym, with classes and rooms for real sports and great selection of gym equipment.

*Update - joking they don’t clean anything anymore or take out the trash. They’re short staffed so only two people are working during the busiest hours. But even in down time they stand around on their phones or hide in the bathroom. All social distancing went out the window at the new year. And the equipment is always broken. It was a good ride 9 months ago.The employees are very friendly and ready to answer questions. Whenever I’m there I see they are hard at work cleaning and I’m very grateful for them. The only con has nothing to do with the employees or the location - there are so many bro-bro’s that do not wipe down their equipment. Even before Corona Virus this was an issues, there are cleaning stations everywhere too. I wish the club would say something to these guys especially during the pandemic.

Men’s locker room and shower area is horrible! Worst planet fitness facility I have experienced in reference to that. No place to put your shower items but on the shower floor! No hot water in the sinks! Always dirty looking! Needs some additions and more attention paid to cleanliness!

So, I have been attempting to cancel this membership since roughly September of 2019 because I was relocated for work and there is no Planet Fitness within 50 miles of where I live. I have called this location multiple times to see if they would help me with the process but multiple times I was told You can only cancel in store...Today, I was told that that was never the case by a lady at this location. In short, I have been paying on this worthless membership for the past 9 months only to learn today that an email would have been acceptable all this time. Typical GYM holding their members hostage with BS stories on how to cancel. Very annoyed at the moment!!!

EVERYTHING! The price is a great value. Where else can you get so much for so little each month? Its the best deal around. There is everything here you need to work out in various ways. My favorite is the 30min circuit but I also love that there are free weights, other great workout machines, plenty of cardio equipment and some specialty areas of focus (i.e. abs). Equipment is maintained in good working order, the place is always clean and theyre very friendly. The showers and lockers are clean. I love the whole concept that everyone belongs, no matter where you are in your wellness/health journey. I dont feel shamed at all and most everyone dresses decently and is there for the right reasons. I love the tanning beds, water massage chairs and the regular massage chairs, which are available to people on the special membership - which happens to be lower than all the other standard memberships at other clubs around town. I love PF and wont go anywhere else. :)

Great gym for money

As far as Planet Fitness locations goes this one is pretty good. Large space, always clean. Seems only about 80% full of equipment. They could add a few more machines to make best us of the space and have more options during busy periods.

The Planet fitness in Castle Rock CO was always very clean. This one in Frisco TX was very dirty. Lots of hair and dirt all over the Red light Therapy room. It was obvious that it hadnt been cleaned for days. No touch- less sign in and no computer to sign in for the Black Card Room benefits. Very disappointing.

I really had no gripes about this PF location (I had literally noting else to compare it to)....until I visited another PF location yesterday. Everything was brand new, updated, and amazing! The Frisco location has 20 TVs on 10 different channels, but its normal for 2-5 of them to not even be working. The other location I went to had 24 TVs, all working and all on different channels. At the other location all the machines were new and updated and spotless and they had a greater variety of machines. The machines at the Frisco location are obviously older and frequently have sweat drops all over the lower parts of them. A co-worker said their home location is all brand new as well. So it makes me wonder why the Frisco location hasnt been updated or if there are any plans to update it anytime soon. I didnt have time to visit the black card area. I cant even imagine the differences there! Also, I wonder why on all the comments from the owner in response to peoples negative reviews...why dont you do drop in visits to see what these people are complaining about? If there is ever a manager on duty when Im there, Im certainly not able to tell as they all behave similarly to what Ive heard in the other reviews. Theyve never been unfriendly to me, but I never see them doing anything outside of the front counter.

I love this gym! It has everything I need and nothing that I don’t. The price is great, the gym is clean and the staff is friendly! I love the hydro massage and total body enhancement that come with my membership. There are plenty of the best workout machines and I never have to wait!

Beware. The location and services itself are good, but a week ago I had my entire purse stolen out of a locked locker. Unfortunately, the Management has been less than helpful and I have repeatedly had to ask them to reach out to the Detective with the video surveillance that they have to help with the case. They have yet to do so. Frustrating. :-(

Really well kept and really clean

Love their Black Membership option which is less than I was paying monthly for the tanning salon. My Frisco location is clean with a very friendly staff. There always seems to be enough equipment so there is no wait line (or I just re-arrange my rotation of equipment). Sometimes I just come in to use their hydrobed if Ive had a particularly stressful day and need to relieve some tension in my back.

Everyone treats you like family here. The facilities are nice and clean. There really isn’t anything negative to say here.

Rather shocking how may people were not wiping down machines after use and how many people were walking around without masks.

Cheap membership with no contract. Clean facility, each person takes the time to clean the equipment before moving to next activity. Varying fitness levels. Lots of TV choices. Clean locker rooms. Friendly desk staff.
