After shopping around for a health club training program, I found Texas Health and Family Fitness met all my needs. The manager, Justin, worked out a program of sessions and paired me with a trainer who both pushes me and listens. After only 6 weeks I’m already seeing results…both my BMI and fat to muscle ratio have significantly improved.
I would give zero stars if possible, the customer service here is horrible.I was told by any employee that I would not be allowed to check into the gym anymore unless I had a key tag.I’ve used this gym for over a year, along with my wife and brother. I usually go at 530am and it’s never a problem, I hate key tags, if I had one for every business that used them, I would have 50 on my keys! So I just use my phone number, the young kid said well I’m sorry I won’t check you in anymore after this with a complete attitude! In a year using this gym it’s never been a problem! I asked to talk to the manager and the manager just stood there while the kid had a complete attitude. I can’t believe the manager would loose 3 memberships because we don’t want to have keys tags… plus they have 6 stair master and only 3 of the work. They constantly have problems with their machines. Poor management reflects on the staff.
My husband cancelled his membership in March and I just now looked at my bank statements and noticed they have been taking monthly payments out still, 6 months later. Spoke to Justin the manager and he basically said if we don’t have the paperwork stating it then we can cancel now. What a joke. Second time this has happened in two years with them. DO NOT RECOMMEND
The workout equipment is alright but the gym is a massive scam. Every month i would get some random $50+ fee on top of my monthly and annual bill. I would give them a call and they just say there nothing they can do about it i would have to call corporate.
Not worth it, sure it’s cheap but it’s crowded at all times. Don’t bother signing up because it’s a battle trying to cancel the membership. Go to LA fitness or Anytime fitness. Those two places are worth your time and money
I would give Christian Narnst a 10 ⭐️ For greatness, excellent customer service and outstanding performance!!! You make everyone feel welcome 😀 So professional and caring. You deserve a promotion for MANAGEMENT!!!
To the owner: make it easier for the average American to understand how to cancel their membership. If they need a doctors note to freeze/unfreeze, or if they have had a death in the family, hire competent staff that can explain this in clear language to your customers. There are proper ways to run a business. Try to run a better one. Love ya. :)
Twas an experience lacking valor! Upon walking in, I wast greeted by a mistress in the front who immediately referred me to the kids area. Alas, I am no peat, I am an adult of twenty years and at which hour I informed the maiden of this information, the lady acted as if t be true the lady didst nothing wrong and justified that rude behavior. Until this is fixed, I wilt nevr again step foot in thy gym.
Hands down the worst gym Ive ever been to. It is way to crowded, I found a used prophylactic on the floor one day and the day after I found the prophylactic the fire alarm went off! It was a test and not one staff member notified anyone! Definitely not a good experience! I tried to stay because the staff members were pretty good individuals but in the end I had to wash my hands of this place.
I wish there is a zero rating, they keep changing trainers and managers. They promise you something and make you buy lots of training sessions and when you want to use them they will come up with term and conditions. The will not honor other managers promises. We paid Thousands of dollars which is a waste
While Texas Family Fitness is a nice gym and has a good amount of equipment, I only needed a gym. Not a trainer or go over weight gain goals. It just wasn’t necessary. The only time I went was at peak hours, about 6-7pm. They only had 3 flat benches and were all full. The weight area was way over crowded for what I was looking for. And while they had a nice turf area, there was absolutely nowhere to stretch... when I say that, I mean somewhere to hold onto to stretch muscles that you can’t get to by just being on the floor. Not only this, but my wife and I got the premium memberships. So they were supposed to include all classes and massage chair. When I went to use it and asked the employee to give me my code, he said it was not showing up. Considering the assistant manager had signed us up, I was definitely not happy. Needless to say, I googled other gyms that night and have found a gym that perfectly fits my family’s needs. Texas Family Fitness may be great for some, but it was a hard no for us.
The staff is friendly now than ever before!!! Its always busy in a good way!!!! The only thing I dont care for is the some of the yearly fees, which started a long time ago. Other than that the club is great!!!!
Christian at the TFF in Frisco/Little Elm helped me enroll at the gym over the weekend. Christian was knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly explain the various packages and amenities the gym offered. I was thoroughly impressed with Christian and the staff at the Frisco/Little Elm Texas Family Fitness location.
Clean facility, friendly staff, very knowledgeable staff with a simple cancelation process. Highly recommend!!!
Worked with Christian and signed up today. Excited to get started! Easy process and great communication.
Very Unprofessional Staff. They dont know any thing about system. I have canceled my account Still they are charging me All Fees. Its totally Fraud Fitness Center. Please dont go and enroll there they will steal your money only. Very Very frustrating I signed up in Aug. 2021, I paid first and last month for me and my Husband up front $62.37 and $18.99. Ive only gone in to the gym 1 time!! (my fault) and then I went for cancelation on 6th day see that they took Sep 2021 out on the 3rd again $23.80 and $10.81 evenif I did cancel my account So I went to Fitness center and asked to charge so Guy over there told me this is charge for this month and Then I category asked will I charge for any other money then He said no you will not charge any other money and now today Another charge on Sep 12 $54.11 for me and 54.11 for my Husband I called to see what the extra charge was for & was told a yearly fee Even If I cancelled account within 6 days they are charging me this much money And I was
Healthy people do not need to be restricted, quarantined or forced to use medical devices. Sanitizing options are provided on site and most diligently use those options. personally, I have never worn a face diaper and gone about my regular activities for over a year now. never got sick. TFF has made the right decision in opening up and leaving health care decisions up to the individuals. my body, my choice ya know?
Solid gym. Too crowded. Might as well go 24 hours to accommodate. Constantly out of cleaning supplies. Too many cringe middle aged men trying to show off. I’d rather go at 12 am when the ego lifters aren’t awake. Some dude deadlifted 400 pounds today for almost an hour at 10 minute intervals to flex on everyone. Was dropping all 400 pounds on the ground at 2 feet up. Very annoying.
I just joined this gym 3 days ago, I noticed individual was bleeding on both shins from using heavy weights on power cleans. I saw it as a health concern with coronavirus in the open wounds and blood dripping on barbell, I brought it to the managers attention, his response was WE DONT CARE!-------- Texas Family Fitness is NOT a Health Club or Help Club!!!!
Absolutely terrible. They are scam artists. They force u into signing contracts you specifically ask not to and when you try and cancel they tell you ok and don’t so then they keep charging you for months. And when you go in to get your money back they send you to corporate offices who don’t ever get back to you lie to your face over the phone and tell you they aren’t allowed to let you talk to a manager. Absolute worst business I have ever heard of. They don’t care about you only your money and will scam you do not sign up here
I went to TFF a month ago wanting to know why they were charging me 19.50 even though I paid my monthly fee of 21.64 in advance, and the young lady in the front desk could NOT answer the question, instead she was telling me that there was no receipt for that payment, and that I should call ABC financial. I called, and they told me they would call me back never got a call back until this day. I paid the unnecessary fee of 19.50, canceled the membership. Now they want to charge me 21.64 after a month of cancelation. I definitely do not recommend.
I am member of 3 years and everything was fine. Never had an issue with my billing. The previous bill was a different story. I got charged for the my card not being charged the monthly fee. Originally no one could tell me why I had an extra charge for the month. It took several calls and me harassing the front desk to explain it to me. Finally the nice young lady at the front desk said they were having several complaints about this issue. So she reached out to cooperate to help resolved the matter. After a few days, she then suggested along with several friends there, to move on because no one was getting back to me. We are leaving due to the unprofessionalism and the cleaning supplies are always empty. I hope they correct these issues soon.
Joined gym as part of summer special. They appear to be doing social distancing with cardio equipment—despite not requiring guests to wear masks—and not all equipment was being utilized (this was in April and in May—after the gym alleges to be back to 100% occupancy). Stair climber machines are of poor quality. The turf is primarily used for stretching. The gym has no culture of decorum. Weights are rarely racked.I put in my notice to cancel my membership relatively early after I joined—less than a month afterwards—on the second day of May. The gym charged me the month of June and charged me the maintenance fee, which, for most gyms would not have been assessed until after 45 days. It may be part of the “policy,” but why gouge prices especially when people are not pleased with your product? What does this say about your company?I work out Precision gym in Dallas most of the time. But I joined this gym to have a closer option on busier days. This, however, was a regrettable purchase.
Great gym, Customer service couldn’t be better with cam helping my friends first impression on the gym.
I love this gym…. Always welcoming and always a great experience
Good gym. Desk is friendly. They do a good job trying to keep the gym clean. Only complaint is that there is not enough bars. Sometimes a station is open but there is not a bar. Otherwise, I enjoy the experience.
Nice clean gym. The staff is nice and friendly and help you with any questions you have. The front desk are always happy and kind in the mornings. Love all the equipment.
Best gym in my town since 24 hour has shut down. Decently big but best gym in my area hands down. Everything there is good quality and when a machine goes down it’s usually fixed fairly quickly.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. Facilities are very clean and well kept. Im enjoying my 2nd year membership. I definitely recommend the Little Elm / Frisco location.
Is it the greatest facility in the world? Well, no, but it doesnt matter because youre not paying for the greatest gym on earth. The staff is friendly and let you do your thing, a ton of cleaning stations to sanitize the equipment, and a good assortment of equipment and stations. To think someone paying $10/mo would want more than what they get, go try to find it, ill wait.... worth every penny.
Update: rcvd a reply from TFF, stating they could not locate my membership.....WELL you sure can find my credit card to charge it!Texas Family Fitness is like a time Share once youre in you cannot get out. I tried to cancel my membership back in February and still to this day my account is still active and they are still charging my card. I never even used my membership. I have talked to numerous managers and I have talked to cooperate still nothing has been done. Feeling frustrated with this business.
First time in a gym in a while. The sales ppl are not bad and they seem to actually care what you want and not just trying to make a sale. The machines are updated and their social distance policies are nice.
Amazing gym, great quality, and Cam was especially helpful and kind for my friend and I.
Difficult process to remove membership, but ultimately it was accomplished by finding the manager in person.
I have been visiting fitness centers for several years if not decades now. Texas Family Fitness is one of the nicest centers I have been in. Their customer service is excellent with staff consistently greeting you on each visit. They have handled the pandemic with a great approach and you can always count on plenty of sanatizer and towels being available. They have a great system of rotation for equipment and alternate color designated treadmills, etc with stickers that let you know what is appropriate for the week and will allow for social distancing. They encouraged mask wearing consistently, prior to the new EO by Governor Abbott. I cannot recommend a better fitness center!
Ive been a member for a few years and I enjoy the variety of equipment. The staff has improved since I started using this location and are very friendly. I was greatly impressed this last year with the covid policies and I am very comfortable with the cleanliness, disinfectant supplies, and other members respect towards each other with the pandemic.
I recently moved from the West Frisco location to The Colony location because that is where my trainer moved to, and he is awesome, so I followed him . I like Texas Family Fitness, and the people at The Colony location are so great. The trainers are good, especially my trainer Mike Constantine. The training manager is so nice, and the GM is great too. I love it that they know my name when I walk in the door. The front door staff is also very friendly. The Colony gym does need a bit of updating, but it has most everything I need. Its always clean. I focus on Powerlifting, and the hex weights are a bit of a pain but manageable. My biggest complaint is that they have requested additional equipment, like bumpers for deadlifting, and the corporate office just does not help them get what they need or see it as a priority. I thought about buying them myself.. That is my only gripe, the gym is great, staff is great, people are great.. but corporate seems to not care much about what the individual gyms need as far as additional equipment.
The gym in great and the locations are convenient but I had a difficult time ending my membership when I moved out of state. At first I tried ending it in person the last day I went to the gym but the person behind the desk said a manager has to do it and he gets in at 9. I work all day and tried to call but they wouldnt let me cancel over the phone. They said contact this email address, which I did but it bounced. They ended up sending it to collections which is asinine and then just now sent me an email asking for a Google review
I gave this gym a second try after the first bad experience. So my credit card was hacked, as soon as I got my new credit card, I called them and gave them the new number. Looked at my charges afterwards and they charged me three time my normal rate in fees and late charges for missing my payment by a couple of days. I asked them to reverse the fees or cancel all four of my familys memberships that they did this to, without any hesitation the customer service manager Katie was willing to loose four members rather than refund the nonsense fees. Then they want to charge a full months cancellation fee because I cancelled on the first of the month. Shameful businessFunny your ABC payment place was able to reverse the fees on the account you did not update, however your establishment, the gym itself refused to refund your fees that you charged for the hacked credit card. I have already called the corporate office and they will get back to me in 7-10 days. Your manager was willing to loose four members instead of reversing the fees, just poor business.
Texas family Fitness is a wonderful facility. They have any cardio or muscle strengthening machine you ever need. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help. The facility is very well kept, machines are clean and well maintained.
Great value. The gym is always clean. The equipment works well and seems new. I definitely recommend. I compared 24 hour, LA fitness and TFF. It was an easy choice.
We love our TFF membership! We love our classes and instructors! We primarily go to the one by our house at Custer/Eldorado, but cycling/spin is not open there yet. We went to spin last Monday at Main/423, Angel was teaching. The experience was very similar to CycleBar at a much lower price! (CycleBar charges $13-15 a class depending on the package you buy). We’re definitely doing it again. Question? We really liked the clip shoes at CycleBar, and want to buy some for the TFF class. Are they delta style (3) or the 2 prong style?
More cardio equipment than strength training equipment. If the gym is mostly cardio where do I go when the gym is full and the few equipment that is available for strength training is all occupied. I think the focus is more cardio than weights.
Not following health laws with wearing masks and no social distancing. That included employees. Place was packed with very few carrying enough to wipe off equipment after done. Also completely ripping off the company when the monthly charge was $19. I’ve been charged over $500.00 directly out of my checking account in 1 month time!! This is a scam. They new I had a spinal chord injury and was only there to get stronger. Anything that stopped me from going health wise would end the contract. Never gave me a place to rate this horrible place. I RATE THIS TERRIBLE PLACE A 1. I want my money back. I did call there corporate office which received no response and didn’t care. Been here before. I should have known but was told entire upper staff was removed. It was a new company owned.
Great gym with plenty of clean equipment and reasonably priced.
I like the training. Austin is a great trainer.
It seems like the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. For instance, I called one day before coming in to workout just to see if the kids care was open and was told yes it would be. Then someone else said it would be closed. Also, there have been multiple times when I showed up to a Saturday workout class (Ignite) and the instructor didnt show or was late.Lastly, the evening classes are extremely limited. There arent many options available to choose from. Ive started looking else where.
Okay, the only reason I am still giving this place money is for the Yoga Instructor that teaches here. Sharon is Amazing and has been such a great person to help me on my yoga journey. Otherwise this place is pretty gross. Both in customer care and in the facility itself. I signed up originally with this place and had added in a few private training lessons along with the membership. I made it clear I only wanted to do a month because the pricing is a bit expensive and Im a college student trying to just get by! I was told it would be fine. I wouldnt get charged after the first time. Lo and behold, even when I had confirmed with someone over the phone that I wouldnt be charged for the month of February.I get a charge on my credit card from them! Apparently there was supposed to be a cancellation form turned in before they would stop charging me.The managers here were not very helpful. I tried calling to reach one over 4 times in one day but was told they were busy and someone would reach back out. Nope no one. And when I called to see if one could meet me on a Saturday so I could get assistance, no one was there when I went over even though I had been told they would be in. When I FINALLY got to meet up with a manager and fill out the form(you can only fill out the cancellation form with a manager by the way) they said they would still be charging me for the month of March cause of the 30 day cancellation notice. The managers arent able to do refunds or anything. Its all through corporate. Overall, Im very unhappy with this place. Even before the mask mandate being removed, people were in and out never wearing masks. People were awful with helping clean the equipment. Im only there for yoga or a brisk workout away from others. Take your business elsewhere.
Management is completely useless. They will lie, hide truths and then avoid you at all costs leaving leaving the front staff to handle all situations. Calling home office is even more of a waste of time. You can speak to a customer service representative but when you ask to speak to Management/supervisors they state there is no one above them. There are a million other places to get a good workout with staff that actually care about providing a good experience.
Staff are experienced and accommodating. Great atmosphere, members are cool and friendly. Im there 5x a week, I chose to work out here because of these attributes.
I really enjoy the facility located at The Colony. It is roomy and has enough equipment for mostly everyone to use. My issue is the equipment at said location is outdated. The Denton, Lewisville, and Little Elm locations have updated equipment and The Colony is due to be overhauled.Overall, good experience great people. I would rate higher but the equipment impediment will not allow me to do so
This place has really fallen into poor quality. When I first signed up the staff was so attentive and professional, now after a few months it had declined into such a poorly run gym. Machines are always broken, the fans are off upstairs while it’s over 100 degrees outside, the staff can’t answer questions and run around after each other during business hours and the manager is rude. I cancelled my membership and will definitely be looking for another gym.
Very nice gym. They have all the equipment you need for whatever your goals may be.
Gym does not open on time. Nothing worse than sitting waiting 30 min past open time hoping someone shows up. Since this is a known issue management should at least leave a number on the door to call.
Great vibes and super clean gym.
I really love TFF. The staff is friendly, the trainers are motivating. I only wish there were more evening Ignite classes.
So Crowded and No one Wearing Mask at all
Pre covid this gym would be just fine. Considering the lack of precautions, this gym is not fine. You have to trust that members are cleaning machines after themselves, mask arent required, nothing is closed off. Just business as usual.
Awesome gym...real croweded..but not gyms fault. Friendly staff...wish it was a 24 hr facility. But all good!
I love this gym! The trainers and other gym members are friendly. The equipment is clean and nice quality. I like that there is a turf area available to stretch and train.
I love Texas Family Fitness! Great place to work out and relieve stress and get in shape!
GM is horrible- rules are all different depending on who’s working. Poor management.
Texas Family Fitness is a Terrible Company!!! My husband was a member there and when Covid hit I called to cancel his membership and was told I would have to go in. I physically walked in and spoke with a lady there who helped me with the process to cancel. A few months later I noticed the money still coming out of my account. I called again and was told they had no record of my cancellation and I would have to go in. Again I went to the facility and cancelled and was told it would take a month to process and I would still get another months charge. They did stop charging my account a month later, but when I complained about them not cancelling the first time they said I would have to call their corporate office which I did. They said I would have to talk to a manager and they would have a manager contact me. ONE MONTH later I got that call and when I explained the issue I was told I would need to talk to someone else for that complaint and they would have them contact me. TWO WEEKS later I got that call and was told there was no proof I had cancelled and they would not reimburse ANY of the money they took out of my account. Note to self; Get Proof when dealing with corrupt companies. I was considering joining TFF since my gym closed...not anymore! Lesson learned!!! UGH!
This will be a complaint. Im a high school student and I give this place an F!! Family should not be in the name of this company. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Im going to work on my official letter of complaint against THIS business. Many other reviewers have already complained. Quite a few have complained and left bad reviews with the Better Business Bureau. See pics. I will update, soon.
The main issue with this location is parking. Now that they added more businesses everyone is jockeying for a parking spot.Next, they are true sales people very fast talking .
Not too bad. Equipment is clean. Limited strength machines (not cardo) so with the volume of people its very challenging to get in a productive workout as youre waiting pretty much all the time to get to anything non-cardio. Too many cardo and not enough strength machines. (see you replied...thank you!)Since Im a regular, now, would help to address somehow. #2 - could use clips on cable machines that stick around (very limited availability and helps with #1 issue). #3 - missing brackets/clips on all the free weight bars (dangerous without them). #4 - pad covers on some machines broken/coming apart which makes those machines tough to use.Just trying to help as this was the first opportunity to provide feedback...plus help make it good for existing, new, and visiting customers, which will help get you more stars in the future not just from me!Thank you and appreciate the response....which hopefully turns into action!
When equipment needs repair its done with a sense of urgency. Thats important.
I don’t feel safe working out there. Many clients do not wear masks and I’ve seen people not clean after themselves. I love the gym but with the covid situation I don’t feel comfortable.
Coming from 24 Hr fitness the membership fees immediately are a plus with TFF. The proximity of gyms for me are great too. The one closest to me (Frisco) is really nice (new building) but is usually pretty packed so I drive the extra 10 minutes to hit the one in The Colony. The building itself is not as nice and has that old smell but TFF does a good job of keeping it as clean as possible. Great selection of equipment at both locations with plenty of cleaning stations so you don’t waste too much time running to grab wipes to clean equipment. I was hesitant to switch over from 24 Hr but the location I used closedown and kinda forced my hand. Wish I would’ve switched a long time ago. I would’ve saved a lot of $$. Very pleased with TFF and would recommend to all my family and friends!
During covid, when I went to their gym, half the people were not wearing mask. The communication was not transparent. The equipment were not racked properly. I know almost all gyms wants to try and keep you as a member. But when I tried to cancel my membership, It was like pulling teeth. When I went to cancel. I had in my head that I would cancel my account that has my credit card on file. Which would remove the other accounts that is tied to my credit card. They were not clear about how cancelations occur, I spoke to the front desk during my cancellation, I did not even get to see a manager to get my account cancel. Months later I find out Texas Family Fitness was charging my card. I do not recommend going to this Texas family fitness. This place is shady and I feel like is cutting corners. When you have someone’s credit card info I would imagine you would be more clear about how cancellations works.
Be aware before you join, cancelation of your membership is almost impossible. I have been trying to cancel for months. I have been given different procedures. I was told to write a letter which I did. They lost the letter. Still have not successful cancelled even after multiple requests.
This is the worst gym a have ever been am getting my refound tomorrow an am cancel my mamership they dont explan your members ship are what dose it include
Good selection of equipment. A little busy at 5am for my taste so I go later in the morning. Seems like COVID never even happened once you get through the doors though.
The big problem with Family Fitness is their hours of operation. They close at 5pm on Saturday and Sunday which is the day most of us can work out.
Be aware, just read all the complaints in BBB. It’s unbelievable all the complaints are exactly like mine. I have completed all of the steps to cancel my membership since 03/17/2020, but Texas Family Fitness continues to automatically draft my bank account till this day. I have called several times, and I have spoken to the Frisco management about this issue and although they say they will take it to the headquarters, NOTHING has been done. Stop charging me for the membership I already canceled and I no longer use. There’s a current alert for this business in BBB there’s too many consumer complaints against Texas Family Fitness. STOP!!
Corrine is great! Love her attitude and enthusiasm.
Have been trying to cancel a recurring membership charge for the past 3 months being that I no longer live in the area. The managers at this location are extremely rude when I ask them to cancel. I have asked for a corporate phone number and have been given a number that does not work. When I speak to the club I keep getting the run around. I will now be contacting my bank and listing these charges as fraudulent charges. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB. I have had several other people tell me that they have had the same horrible time canceling the membership. It’s obvious that they only care about money.
So many Karens worrying about peoples masks.. if you really care about your health, workout, eat right, and mind your business. Masks dont work either, read up and stop watching mainstream media. Both are tools to control you, wake up!
TFF is a very nice gym, with large assortments of machines to use, and weights that are available to beginners and advanced lifters. TFF is quiet busy, but the community and atmosphere is always positive and friendly.
I properly closed my account and my wifes along with kids club. TFF decided to take my wifes account and make it the primary even after Veronica verified that the accounts were closed. I received a call from Swift financial, a debt collecter stating I owed a little over two hundred dollars for unpaid dues. I called the club and spoke to Colin. I explained my situation and he agreed that should not have happened, but TFF has been doing that to alot of people. He said he would send an email to Nicole and Rachel. Not sure who they are, but he got no response after a week of trying. Colin gave me the number, so I called. I spoke to a young lady who wouldnt id herself, but said someone would call me back in 10 biz days. That was Jan. 8th. And still no call back. I would like to speak to Josh Wheeler CEO or Brooks Johnson COO about my situation. I reached out to both on LinkedIn and still no response.
Its clean, organized and family friendly.
Possibly my favorite TFF location. Absolutely love the setup of this gym and very clean.
PSA **** I wanted to share my experience. Right as Covid 19 shut everything down I responded to an email from Texas Family Fitness asking that they freeze my account. Unfortunately Texas Family Fitness did not and I was charge for 2 months of membership. I called over the phone and asked them to cancel my account and they said that I would have to come in to the gym to do so. We all know that we were asked to stay home unless it was essential to go out. I decided to just go up there and do it. They still said that I owed a month of membership fee for the previous month. I told them that there was a pandemic going on and the Governor of Texas told us to stay home. This was months ago. Today I get a call from a collection agency asking for $303.00 for one month of memberships. How unethical is it to do this to people during this time.AWFUL.
Decent gym, just dont ever try to cancel your membership. As they do not follow policy online, and just as others stated continue to bill you. You would think after all the reviews speaking to this practice they would change, but I guess stealing peoples money is just too easy for them. Check BBB for F rating, this has not and will probably never change. Do Not sign up with these crooks!
4 staff members. 2 wearing masks, 2 are not while they sit at their desks next to the clients selling memberships. CYA sign on the front door says masks required. 40ish people total working out and only 3 customers are wearing masks.
My son is a member here and I was trying to join but at first to check it with my step son and to try out they charge us 21.95$, a lot of Gym gave you a free seven days pass. Very disappointing
My wife pre purchased a personal training plan on her own debit card. They charged her card.. She never agreed to month to month. Not only did they charge her card but then charged our card on file for 4 months included the original month she already paid for. I had to report it as fraud and cancel my credit card because they would not stop charging and would not fix it. I then had to update my card on file. When I did this they charged me $550 again....I had to fight this.....still havent been refunded and today 01/21 they somehow got my new credit card number and charged it once again. So far I have been charged over $1600 and the problem hasnt been resolved. Stay away from this company
Do not join this club. I cancelled during Covid and they sent me to collections and tried to sing my credit. Horrible.
We had huge run around to cancel membership. We had to send a certified letter to their headquarters in Coppell, TX. After they received, and signed for, our cancellation letter they decided to continue charging and debited our bank account for another month. They say that this is their policy on their FAQ. Well that FAQ wasnt published when we signed up. According to Googles records it was published in Dec 2019, after the membership started. On top of that a company policy, or FAQ, doesnt change contract law. If I cancel my membership, that cancels your authorization to pull money from my account. This is not only unprofessional, it is also unethical and illegal.
They do not have time limits on machines so people just sit on the machine and check email or watch movie while we all wait for them to get up. You need put up signs saying xx limit on time.
We had a great experience until now. We asked for our membership to be paused for a few months and were still being charged. After speaking with several different people, my husband spoke with Nicole at the Corporate Office. She was rude, dismissive, and very unprofessional. I have NEVER been spoken to like that by someone in customer service When we asked to speak with someone else, she said she was the only person we could talk to. So much for customer satisfaction.
The only gym to offer a 15 day trial membership very generous. Some gym offer 7 day trial memberships but stopped because of Covid so I appreciate that they kept the 15 day trial available. I only use the stationary bike, I do not know about the other equipment so I cannot fairly rate that. All stationary bikes work except one that I couldn’t adjust for some reason but thats fine there were like 10 other bikes. It’s very spacious. It’s clean. Though I will say they need to fix the soap dispenser in the womens restroom its incredibly hard to get soap out of there. Sometimes the wipes to wipe down equipment is empty but there are sprays and paper towels available. I live close to the colony location but went to the Little Elm location because it looked better quality and the surrounding area is more affluent. As for memberships. I see alot of reviews about memberships and the low ratings come from frustration which is fair but I felt the gym needed a rating on what it offers. I would suggest for anyone if you sign up for a gym membership always record the conversation so everything that was said could be used in court. And if you’re canceling a membership record yourself mailing the documents so that you have a case for collections. Always protect yourself all gyms are like this
Worst customer service .. you ll ever get from any company... I asked them to freeze my account and send multiple emails but they havent done that.. and to cancel membership you need to go IN-Person .. Never Ever Ever go to this Gym again.
Go somewhere else. They don’t tell you about extra charges/fees and the management deals in shady business practices.
Back in March TFF said they would pause my membership due to covid. They didn’t pause my membership so I called ABC financial and had it paused. The gym said when I come back and scan my membership tag that I would be active again. I haven’t been back since this pandemic.Today I got a call from Swift Funds, a collection agency on behalf of TFF and ABC financial wanting $180 or they will put my account in collections. I told her what I was told by the club and ABC and she said that wasn’t accurate per contract. It is a month to month membership therefore there is NO contract.Rumor has it that TFF is opening another location a mile from me, my family, and friends. Hopefully TFF will try to make this right because sharing this review on Next-door and our FB community pages. Posting this review could really hinder their pre-sale.
The only thing good about this place was 2 of the Zumba coaches. Not worth the un-disclosed annual fee and the cancellation hassle where they steal an extra month of fees from your account. They have been notified by the Better Business Bureau four years ago and have not responded to that. They continue to engage in the unethical business practices that brought about that ALERT and F rating.Note: Theyve already been allowed time to fix the problem. I reported their sign-up issues almost a year ago directly to their main office, in email AND over the phone. ---Who is replying for them in the middle of the night with the same standard response to every single complaintAn online FAQ would be important if it was an online registration process. Their process is in person and the FAQ should be made available IN PERSON.
I will never purchase a membership from this company ever again
Really wish they would police them gross dripping with sweat people who are not wiping down equipment after use. It’s really gross and I am not pretty sure I’m going to leave this gym.
