My A/C system was not cooling, so I called Mr. Cool to diagnose & repair. I had three components that were shot. They diagnosed & subsequently replaced those components and were up and running ! Great technicians!

The DPD technician arrived at our house this morning and worked straight through without a break reconfiguring our A/C unit so that it forces more cool air into the front bedroom. Yia was very efficient, professional and cleaned everything up before he left. He even vacuumed the floor. This is the second time hes been to our home and we highly recommend Yias services.

Roy serviced my HVAC. He did both furnace and compressor. My air is now warm and comfy esp in early AM and also I am ready for the coming hot summer. He replaced the failing capacitor and washed the compressor. Arrived on time and very courteous and wears mask and shoe cover for the whole visit.

Couldnt be happier. They even came out to the house to look for something that could be causing our out of site summer usage totals before sizing our system. One of our A/C units wasnt cooling properly, so we called the company that installed it when our house was built. After 3 visits, it was clear they werent going to get the job done, so after some research, we called Mr. Cool. The tech spent quite a bit of time here troubleshooting. He got it going, but it didnt solve the problem & he had told me to call back if it still wasnt right. He was very thorough and persistent in his work and was very personable. It was certainly a pleasure doing business with Mr. Cool when it was time to purchase a new A/C unit, and a Whole House Fan. Installation went so smooth and their Service Dept. is also great. Doing a yearly maintenance check with their Service Dept. is top notch. They call to schedule an appointment and their service department arrived just as scheduled. Manuel Barbosa was our serviceman, he was very courteous and professional and he did a through job of inspecting and testing our A/C, changed the filter and the batteries on our thermostat. AC was making a funny noise, Yia came out and helped assess the situation, and laid out my options. He was helpful and courteous. While I will likely need a new AC unit in the next few years - he helped me make informed decisions. With the companys 90 day visit window policy - I have assurance that if i have problems in the next few months I can call them back out to reevaluate the system with no extra service charge. Though i didnt have to buy a full AC unit this time - Yias help affirmed that when that time comes, i will buy from DPD AC.

He put on the booties before entering our home, I have wood floors so I really appreciated this. Manual explained everything that he was doing, changed the batteries in our thermostat device, replaced the filter and did the inspection with a smile. I live in Tulare and we were looking for solar. We decided that we wanted to go with a stable company that does something else besides solar. You know when all of this solar stuff drys up and these solar companies disappear. So we get a quote from another company and then Donald P. Dick. We had John come out and give me a no hassle quote. He left and called me back in a few weeks just to see If I was still interested. It was like talking to a friend. We had a few family emergencies and I kind of forgot about it. The quote I got from John was straight forward. I compared the two quotes and John had them beat by $8,000. At that point I was sold. There was no long presentation or some scare tactic about the cost of energy. I signed the papers and we were off. They ordered my panels and called when they got the permit. Came out the first day and they guys were super nice and clean workers. No messes around the house. They installed the railings and came back the second day to install the panels and were done by 2 pm. I totally recommend these guys for any service they provide. We are talking about having them service our AC and furnace in our house because they are so easy to work with.

Although it took 5 times to resolve my problem, I was pleased with the promptness, courtesy and professionalism with which it was handled. In particular, I was very impressed with the knowledge and expertise of Eric Marturana. His diagnostic skills are unparalleled. His knowledge of the system was impeccable but also he went out of his way to verify the system was functioning 100% before leaving and also looked for any other issues beyond the current zoning control problem. Lets not forget Erics friendliness and customer relationship skills. He showed that he genuinely cared about the customer and was really down to earth.

Wow! First company I have delt with in a long time that didn’t blow smoke and try to up sell. Sonny came out after another company gave me a really “flashy” presentation and not only was he professional, he was thorough, to the point, and tried to educate me on making a good decision vs sell. I didn’t think a company like this still existed. Not only did he show honesty and transparency but, he was 3k cheaper for higher seer name brand equipment.When Marco the install guy showed up, same experience! Marco and his helper were very professional, curtious, and made sure I understood the process and function of the new thermostat.I cannot say enough great things about the whole crew and experience. Buying an air conditioner isn’t fun or cheap it’s an investment! Don’t fall for the flashy sales guy with every “incentive” under the sun. Call these guys and get the best crew and price without wasting you time.

Liars, unprofessional, rude and dont fix what you ask them to fix. Very unsatisfied. The technician was rude and we told him the upstairs AC unit wasnt working but for some reason he chose to fix the downstairs unit which was working perfectly. We got charged $390 for a perfectly working unit which we didnt want fixed in the first place. At this point not knowing what had happened I called in to tell them that the repairs that they did havent changed anything. This is when they tell me that they fixed the downstairs unit and it would be another $80 charge to come out to look at the other one. We requested the same technician and when we asked why he fixed the wrong unit he straight up lied to our face and said he was asked to fix the downstairs unit by us. When I called him up on his lying he told me that they didnt install the AC units and he isnt gonna look at it. All in all very bad experience.

He did not try to upsell us. We got a number of quotes and all of them told us different things we needed. Ive been doing business with Donald P Dick close to 20 years and have always had prompt and quality service. Adrian replaced a fan motor and capacitor on my 20 year old Lenox unit. I appreciated his recommendation based on the motor load test to avoid further problemsAbout a week after this repair I had another issue completely unrelated to the previous work completed. It turned out to be a burnt power supply wire which the the service technician was able to repair and get us up and running within 24 hours at NO Charge. DPD your awesome. Thanks

I had a problem with moisture accumulating in my secondary drain pan that existed since the unit was installed. This problem did not surface until 2 years after the warranty had expired and was not the fault of Donald P. Dick. It was the fault of the design requirements placed upon the company by the builder. Well, when I was finally able to pin point the reason for the moisture accumulation and called Donald P. Dick, they came out and repaired it at no cost to me! They stand behind their work and for that I give them high kudos!!!

I have had Donald P Dick put in a solar system (2015) and recently replace my HVAC system. I am a stickler for a fair price and great customer service. This company and their team provide both. Their sales guys (Seth with solar and Doug for HVAC) were responsive, comprehensive and answered all my many questions. Once their installers (both Gary and Todd) got out to my house, it was very apparent that these were experienced guys who not only knew what they were doing, but also knew how to handle customers. They were quick, clean and efficient. I shopped around in both instances and have realized that Donald P. Dick is the place to go for your solar and HVAC needs. Seriously, if you want a quality product, great service and a company that will do everything in their power to make you happy (with your very large purchase)...go with these guys.

My friends had a problem with their heater, this company inspected it and said it would be fixed in 3 days they have to get a new part, Well 13 days later no call and no heater. They were expecting guests for the holidays and had to relocate their party and guest.. very inconvenient!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! When my friend called THEM to check on the part they hung up on him. Of course they went somewhere else and it was fixed the next day.I am having a problem with my heater now and I would rather freeze then call this company.

Date of post - 1/26/2013Overall, my experience with this company was horrible and I rate their quality of service poor.My heater recently went out and I placed a call for service on a Saturday morning. Later that afternoon, a tech came out to my house, which was impressively quite prompt on their part.So I went on the roof with him to oversee his diagnosis. He checked for voltage on the control board and conducted other diagnostic procedures. After cleaning the ignitor and the flame sensor, he determined the problem was a faulty ignitor. He didnt have the part and on Monday, I was quoted $120 for a new ignitor.After doing some research and finding an online tech forum, which was also a genuine dealer of my heater, I learned the actual price of a new ignitor was $30. Well, being a young husband of the household, I figured Id save my wife and I a few bucks and buy the ignitor online and install it myself (we were already in the red $80 bucks just for the service call).So I bought the ignitor online, installed it and guess what? The brand new ignitor was failing to spark and ignite the burners. After receiving additional (free) recommendations from a tech on the online forum, I was advised the control board may have gone bad. After removing the control board, I learned the transistors on the board had in fact gone bad and other components had burned/melted.I immediately called P Dick and the receptionist said no refunds. I was adamant about speaking to a supervisor and I made clear that I was unsatisfied with their service. After speaking to the office manager and explaining about the mis-diagnosis, I was told Id be refunded for the service call. From the tone of his voice he was obviously mad at me, but why? It was their bad, why so serious?I ordered a new control board online for $170 and installed it myself. Guess what happened? Viola, we had ignition and the burners started right up! Can you imagine what P Dick would have charged me? Just thinking of it makes me depressed.I received a refund check in the mail and guess what now? It was made to the order of some other dude. I immediately called the office and they said this other person had requested the call for service. Are you serious?! Look at the check I wrote, its not the other dude! Sheesh!Well, after they investigated the matter, it was discovered I actually put in the call for service. No, really? Now they wanted me to mail them back the bad check. At this point, I lost my trust in their bookkeeping standards and requested they mail me a new check and once received, Id mail them the bad check; thats the least they could do since this mishap was all their fault. What was the response to my request? No.So, I had to drive 15 minutes into town and personally serve them the bad check.In sum, dont waste your time or money with this company; youll end up buying parts you dont need and be overcharged for service.

Tech arrived for yearly heating service as scheduled. Answered all my questions/concerns. Joel was very professional and cleaned up after before leaving.
