I drove down from Elk grove to Apex to purchase my 2015 Hyundai Sonata. I had researched a lot and found this dealer who had it priced reasonably, where the customer and the dealer both wins. Ontop of that they even provided a cheaper rate (APR) from one of the banks they deal with on daily basis. This saved me further cash in the end. Derrick, Pauline and Josephine were all great and pleasant to deal with. The car had side mirror damage (driver side) and they agreed to repair that free of charge if I can locate the secure the part and next time in the city. After a few days ownership however, I did notice that left driver side external unlock button is not working and inside the cabin one could hear a faint noise of the air condition. I called Pauline and got in touch with Omar their service department manager. This is where I was greeted with more friendliness and exceptional customer service. Omar offered me a rental car while (I know everyone does that, but these guys didn’t have one so they took out a rental and gave it to me while the car got repaired). Although they could not find the root cause of the faint noise, they agreed that if the noise gets loud then they could go 50/50 on the cost of repair. Why I am telling this, simple genuine people who go beyond to assist. I would definitely buy from them again.
I was excited to come up to buy a car. I flew from los Angeles with money and bank loan in hand and they denied selling the car to me. They profiled me asked me to prove my identity took copys of my id and they also wanted to run my credit again to see if I can afford this car. Key words afford this car. They couldnt believe the bank approved me for a 2009 Toyota matrix for $13,800 and I would pay the difference of 1353.89 totaling out to $15,153.89 . Ive never so discriminated against . They were kind enough to pick me up from the airport but not enough to drop me back off since I didnt buy anything from them. They told me to take a Uber but My Uber app was not working and I walked 1.5 hours back to a hotel and paid $120 for the night and now I have to wait for a flight tomorrow costing about $400 on top of the 140 for the flight to Oakland. Bad experience please dont treat people like this.. maybe my perception is bad and they were trying to sell me a different auto loan and not honor mine. Hopefully he doesnt say its company policy or they just following protocol and cant release a car without verification of bank. Lets hear there polished text book reply. Thinking it wasnt worth 15k after all. Hopefully they dont run my credit without my authorization or do anything illegal with my information without my consent because of this review
I purchased my 2015 Rubicon with help from John and Derrick, and I couldnt be happier!! I was able to coordinate taking the vehicle to my own mechanic to have it checked out before making any decisions. The vehicle was in excellent shape, and my mechanic was pleasantly surprised. I immediately started working with John and Derrick to get the best deal on my financing and for my trade-in (I believe the owner, Gary - fellow Jeeper, was involved through text messaging even though he might have been out of town at the time). There was a small (maybe 1) tear in the leather of the drivers seat which got repaired brilliantly by the Service Department (thank you Omar and Jessica for getting me in and out quickly)! You cant even tell in was repaired! Jessica was awesome, and when I asked her if they could help with ordering other parts or dealer accessories she handed me her card and told me to email her a list of what I need and shed look into if for me. This was a great transaction!!
I drove up from 3 hours south, when I called I spoke with Derrick the sales manager I let him know that I was coming for a SUV they had and I wanted to spend as little time at the dealership. He said he would have everything ready for me, once I got there John help us and he was very polite and helpful. Once we worked out the numbers we went straight to finance to fill out the paperwork. Richard the finance guy was a delight to work with, made everything simple and breezed right thru it. Overall I would recommend this dealership for your next purchase.
This is the only place that I get my vehicle serviced at. The staff here treat it as if its their own vehicle. Great customer service and extremely friendly staff who always have smiles on their face. Shout out to Omar for always ensuring that my vehicle is in tip-top shape. He is an individual who is forthright and I greatly admire that about him.
Update:The owner’s response was absolutely nonsense. He made up the $4000 and $2000 numbers. I never disclosed a single number about how much more I wanted for my trade in nor was I specific about the deal on GMC.A total and absolute LIAR.Good luck with your dream team and dream business.—————Original postWe just spent 2 hours in the dealership ready to put money down. But we came back feeling insulted and disappointed. We were about to close the deal and decided to give a last try on pricing. So we asked our sales person with a very reasonable attitude. The sales team manager Richard Li overheard the conversation, utilized his supervisor power and invited himself into our conversation. He cut us off constantly, answered our questions impatiently and had a really bad attitude at the end: I have 25 years of experience selling cars, I know what you want. I think you can NOW LEAVE THE SHOP to shop somewhere else. If you EVER found a better price, just buy it there. YOU DONT EVEN NEED TO COME BACK. His tone was so strong that we as customers heard that we should just get out of the door RIGHT NOW and should not EVER come back.In my 10+ years of managing global sales and marketing teams, what Richard said and did was exactly something we taught our sales NOT to do.In addition, earlier when we asked him how do you like GMC cars, his answer was: I personally dont drive American cars. Indication: this isnt a good car and American cars in general arent good. As a manager, our question was about the car you were selling, not your personal preferences. And we believed his job was to sell cars, rather than breaking deals for his sales on the floor. Very unprofessional. However, wed say that the other people we have met were all great. John, for example, was a case study of how a great sales person should act and perform. Hes patient, polite, and knowledgeable. Derrick, the GM, was the same way.Its a pity to have missed the car we liked. Especially given we had spent so much time and it was so close to a deal. Hope this gets management attention and they could fix their sales culture for other customers. Its important to understand that reputation is built over time, and a lifetime of sales starts from a new relationship of a customer.——
This review just for Omar, the Man to Trust. Truly took care of all my car issues and resolved all the issues and personally drove with me to address my concerns. I truly appreciate all your help and taking care of the brakes, all the maintenance and the headlights! You were absolutely amazing!! Thank you so much!
Had my car fixed there twice and nothing but outstanding service found my problem and fixed it perfectly a 2000 dollar job was covered by my warranty.Honest, caring, and a very reliable shop thanks guys.
At apexcars.net I was able to find the exact make and model of a suburban that I was looking for. They have a great sales team and made the transaction smooth. Im very pleased with the end result and I recommend this independent dealer.
I want to thank Omar for helping me with my services! He took really good care of me and my car. My car had a due bill for scratches that was on my bumper, changed colors on my strips, applied the extra layer of protective coat and helped me get a rental car. He took me to the rental place and picked me up when my car was done. He stayed in touch with me throughout the whole process. The staff is really nice and professional. I highly recommend Apex cars if your looking to buy a car. Check them out. I’m am very happy with their services and how my car came out.
Great people great service a wonderful place to buy a car or get your car serviced
I had a brief vist here to look at the Hyundai Tucson 2017 that they had in stock. The car was very dirty and it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. There was many scratches on the inside of the car that were not pictured online. That’s not too bad though, but what is worse is the salesman didn’t even seem to want to sell the car to me. He was standing around, didn’t know anything about the car and was very unhelpful. I gave a offer for the car but was turned down and asked to find something within my budget, no counter offer. My offer was not a lowball either. I felt that something like buying a car is suppose to be exciting and a little pleasant. This was really not the case here. Overall my experience was not good and I recommend not to waste your time here.
Arranged an appointment for a oil change with Omar (Service Manager) and was given an appointment promptly. Jessica followed up with a text confirming my slotted appointment time. When I arrived at the Service department I was met with a smile and a welcoming vibe from the entire staff. They notified me that they have a service special $49.99 oil change which includes the replacement of wiper blades and rotating of tires. I was pleasantly surprised. In conclusion I loved the professionalism, value and warmness of the staff at Apex.( 2001 Toyota Tacoma)
When I purchased my car from Apexcars.net, I had no idea that I would gain service family! The quality of the work that has been given to me has been off the charts. Omar, the Service Manager is absolutely amazing. He is proactive, yet never pushy. He also sits me down and walks through every step of the service proposed. He has done google searches to give further explanation so I can read at my leisure. I can’t recommend Omar and his team enough. As a bonus, the young woman Jessica who calculates and hands me the bill, is fantastic, pleasant and a mathematician. I never have to wonder..... Great Team!!!!
Shout out to Rowan and Omar. These guys go above and beyond. Ive ever seen any shop go the extra mile for their customers like they did for me. I bought my car from them five years ago as well and got a great price. Thanks for all your help guys!
I usually go here for service and people at service are great, I had a very good experience with Oamr and Jessica and totally satisfied with my car service.
I purchased a 2013 F150 from Apex. This place is not like a typical dealership. I got the truck at a great price, got the paperwork done and drove out of there in around an hour. No haggling or going back and forth. Great sales guys and the manager. I highly recommend this dealership. This will be the first place I come to for my next purchase.
My name is Thomas I have taken my 2013 Dodge Dart to ApexCars in Fremont several times now and Im so happy I found this place. Im so thankful to Omar for all he has done helping me with repairs on my car. Omar is very knowledgeable about cars and is very caring and friendly. I had my timing belt replaced and got a new water pump and recently had a new splash Guard installed. Also i had my front brakes and rotors installed here. As long as as I live in the area I will keep coming back for future repairs and maintenance.
Boughtba Mustang Convertible here a few years back. Customer service was great. Not too over-priced. And was out in about 2 hours.
Awesome Service.... this place goes above and beyond with service and they explain to you the issues along with resolution. Customer Service big time Kudos to The entire crew was helpful... 5 stars and special shout out to Jessica you are an awesome representation of what service should be. If you’re looking for reliable folks to work on your car this is the place.
If you have shopped for car you know at times it can be rather frustrating! And me being a first time buyer I had some huge huddles to leap. Fortunately for me I stumbled upon Apex Cars and I didn’t need to go anywhere else. Pauline was fantastic, she got me the financing I needed and most importantly the car I wanted. This was probably the best experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership. I recommend Apex Cars If you are looking for a quality used car with exceptional customer service. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Worst car buying experience ever. Looked like the sales person didn’t want to sell the car. Every question was answered with a yes/ no, no explanations and tried to give wrong info on the one owner and the warrenty of the car. Worst customer service from the time we walked in. Don’t bother going here and wasting your time.
I had very good service from the repair shop. Their service Manager Mr Omar Ansari listened to my repair request and the technician did efficient repair. Highly recommend the shop for any body looking for honest estimate and quick turn around.
Left very satisfied with my experience at apex cars. Came in for an oil change and a maintenance check. Dont know much about cars so I felt very comforted when I met advisors and the service manager, Omar. I received fantastic customer service and the entire process was broken down to me in lay terminology. Will be doing business with apex cars in the future again.
First off wow. I found a nice tahoe online on there web and I went in the very next morning smack @ 9am and I found Edmund opening up and getting the cars ready for display. Edmund was very helpful. I showed him the tahoe I wanted and he quickly went and pulled it out front for me. Edmund is very friendly and professional at the same time. As we were waiting for the finance manager to arrive Edmund kept me and my company entertainted and also he made sure that we were comfortable while we waited. It wasnt a long wait at all. I highly recommend seeing Edmund if you want quality pofessional and also fun help. Car shopping shouldnt be stressful....well for me it wasnt with Edmund. Thanks again!! ...also The dealership overall was clean, organized and has a nice collection of cars. I will definitely return here again.
ONLY GIVING 1 STAR BECAUSE I CANT POST WITHOUT DOING SO!If youre looking to purchase a vehicle for the sake of rebuilding your credit Apex is not the place to purchase a vehicle!Ive been paying on a vehicle that I purchased from Apex through Harold, for a year now and they arent even reporting my payments to the credit bureaus. But I was told that my payments would be reported to the credit bureaus and would help improve my credit score. If youre looking for a quality vehicle Apex is not the place to purchase a vehicle!I began having issues with the vehicle I purchased from Apex within 3 weeks after driving it off the lot.If youre hoping to find an honest sales team, Apex is not the place to purchase a vehicle!I was sold a car based on lies and deceit, this business is hella shady.
Hi I came in yesterday and Omar was very friendly and so sweet! He gave me a big smile and greeted me/btw nice smile😃! He took great care of me and gave me all the details on what my Nissan Versa needed and that made me very comfortable 😊! It was definitely a WOW experience, he’s so easy to talk to and he answered all my questions. I’m definitely coming back!!
I wouldnt buy a car from here without a prepurchase inspection. I was looking at a 4runner and they would not budge on the price. The car was priced 1000 less than KBB value. I brought the car to a mechanic for a prepurchase inspection and he pointed out the car had warped rotors, you could feel the wheel shake when breaking at highway speeds and the struts and shocks needed to be replaced, the wheels showed cupping. The car also needed a new battery and the rear license plate light was out. I pointed this out to the dealer and he refused to fix any of it. His mechanic did not think anything was wrong with the car. I understand not fixing the struts and shocks. However not fixing the battery and the license plate light was beyond belief especially at the price they wanted. The car needed a jump when I went for my first test drive and they claimed a light was left on. The license plate light would cost less than 5 dollars to fix. These people claim their prices are competitive when they are not. They know the problems with their cars and they refuse to fix them. There is no way their in house mechanic missed these problems. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because they were responsive.
Excellent service by Omar. Hes been very helpful in so many ways to repair my car. Ill definitely service my car there from now on. Keep up the great work Sir
This review is long over due. My wife and I were looking for a new car and met Greg, he gives really great car buying advice and is not pushy at all. Hes very helpful and made my car buying experience go very smoothly. I usually hate buying cars because of the pushy salesmen and price haggling but I didnt have any issues with any of that here. It was such an easy car buying experience. The car I bought had lower mileage than the one I was gonna buy at Toyota, and it was around the same asking price and year. If you shop here you will not regret it! I hope Greg is still working there the next time I go in to buy another car. !
I went just to look at cars and immediately they tried to buy the car I showed up in for a low ball offer. I looked around the lot and everything seems very expensive. There was one car which I was interested in and the salesman let me drive it. The motor made a whining sound and the brakes slipped a bit, but I was interested in it for the right price, since I could get these issues fixed cheaply, if I got the car for a good price. Then I made them an offer on a car and they said we were too far apart they were not going to even respond. They said they would give me a detailed reason and printed out Kelly blue books saying that is what he paid for the car. He showed me the price of a perfect one, but the car was clearly reconditioned. He then said that after fixing it up and getting work done on it, that the car cost him even more (although they own the people who do the work on the cars). I told him that was fine and went to leave, when the salesman stopped me and said he would ask for a deal for $500 more, I told him that if the offer was refused the salesman would have made me look pathetic and that I would never come back. The salesman went to the manager and came back with an offer for $1400 more than my offer. I then walked out, and was followed out by the sales man who again wanted to buy my car for his son. Worst experience I have ever had.
THANKS APEX YOUR THE BEST MY CAR NEEDED REPAIRS & THEY FIXED MY CAR & LOAN ME A CAR WHILE MY CAR WAS GETTING REPAIRED... VERY NICE... GREAT PEOPLE...
Great staff, very helpful, got my first 2 cars from here. I strongly recommend
We were looking for a later model Subaru WRX and we came across this dealer, although its 64 miles away or 1 hour 30 minutes from our place, last Oct 6.The car was a 2015 model. We bought the car and went home. When I reviewed the contract after 2 days, I noticed there was a mistake in the contract that needed to be corrected.I called and was able to talked to Ben, the Sales Manager. There were a lot of discussions about the mistake and he seemed irritated and cutting me off when I was taking. He was arrogant, unprofessional, rude, talking back. Sorry say that, to me, there is not a good word to describe him.He should never disrespect a buyer who is paying is salary. If not for the buyer, he ll be jobless. He should realize that.I didnt believe those negative reviews about him, but I experienced it myself during the sale and after. Hard to say, but his actions is reflecting a bad image of the company. He should be reprimanded or......We came back to talk to Pauline, Oct. 8.On the good side, Pauline Wong, the Finance Manager help us and eagerly corrected the mistake without any problem. She is very wholesome to talk to, smiles a lot and very professional. I would like to recommend her to the next higher position in your company. You need more Pauline, so no problem. I respectfully request, she be given a Certificate of Excellence in Customer Service which she deserves. Was able to talked to Cris, the other Sales Manager, who awesome too.
Went in today to get my car appraised, it was all fine and good untill they wanted my social security number just to give me a price for my car. They said it was to figure out the value of my car and to get my buy out amount since they for some reason had to call the bank I got my loan with. When in reality all they had to do was ask me (I wouldent of told them anyway since they do not need that info I just wanted an appraisal for my car)I have gone to Toyota and they never asked me for my social. I have gone to carmax also and they HAVE NEVER ASKED ME FOR MY SOCIAL... on top of that once I found out they wanted my social number and I promptly asked for my registration and key back I had to ask for it 6 (yea that is SIX times) for them to give me my key and registration. I had to walk to the sales desk and push for them to give me my key back so I could leave. I was not going to give them anything else other than registration and the key for an appraisal.
I just want everyone to know how amazing this place is. My husband & I bought a car from here a couple years ago. We did purchase warranty with the car. It never had any problems (just normal wear & tear) like any normal car. I had broken down with two kids in the car today & let me tell you how stressful that is! I called Apex & they took care of everything for me & are now getting it to their shop to get it looked at, totally took a huge weight off my shoulders. Their customer service is absolutely outstanding & you can definitely tell they are honest & are in the best interest of their customers. Would definitely recommend buying your car from Apex! Five stars hands down!
Worked with Michelle to purchase my Ford f150! They made it so easy for my to purchase my vehicle. Thanks Michelle and Gabriel for everything!
Car salesman by nature are hacks however I met a very nice sales lady and I bought a beautiful little convertible a good place overall hang on to your wallet
Nice people and very clean facility. This is a full blown dealership, I didnt expect it to be so big. They wouldnt really negotiate but the prices were pretty fair to begin with. I bought my Chevy truck a while ago and have had no problems. Their best kept secret is the service department and this review comes in part from my experience with Omar the service manager and Jimmy the mechanic. I got better things to do than sit in a waiting room. These guys always get me in and out of there and I dont have to wait weeks to get an appointment.
Omar (manager) in the service department really does go above and beyond for anyone who brings their car to him. I’ve had a few complications with my car since I got it and he covered every aspect of why certain things were happening with my car. He even approved work to be done outside of his service department at a competitors service department with my third party warranty because he wanted me to be able to safely drive back so he can inspect the car and give me honest answers. Everyone knows how service departments upsell on things you don’t really need done but he is the complete opposite. He knows that honesty is what will bring the loyalty of his customers back. He even told me when things that other competitors were saying didn’t seem right or didn’t make sense and corrected it. All my servicing will be done by Apex because of the honesty and commitment they have shown to me in the service department. Thank you again Omar for everything! You’ve truly made a difficult situation a lot easier.
Quality service, staff and very attentive manager with customers .. My car was perfect with the new tires .. Great price and I will definitely be back next time
Very good service Mr Omar Ansari
We had a great experience with the service department as well as my purchase of my 2015 Tesla from a great sales department.
Omar is a great Manager he helped meAll the service personal help full.Roen and Jessica or very helpfulThanks to APEXCARS-SERICE Deporment
I came to Apexcars expecting the same sleazy salesman experience but to my surprise my experience was far from that. everyone was friendly and inviting I wasnt ready to buy but will be returning to see Greg very soon!,
The car we wanted to check out was out of battery. When the sales person finally got it running she went missing. We had cash in our pocket and just wanted to test drive it before buying but after waiting for a while we left and will not return.
Hello Gary,Rest assured that I am reviewing the correct dealership and that the rating is correct. Our experience with you and your family operated dealership was actually in December of 2016. You did correct the experience by offering to cancel the transaction and accept your lemon of a vehicle back.I ‘ve been meaning to give my review of your company for some time now and being the new year, I told myself that I would do better and dedicate more time to my reviews, even the negative ones. You were indeed on the top of my list of reviews to complete. My husband, Kiyale and I purchased a 2007 Blue Chevy Suburban. We had a bad experience overall with this transaction and interaction with several people we came into contact with throughout the process. The salesman, George Richardson, was the only honest person we met with. I remember the finance lie told to my husband about the interest rate saying it was reduced from 14.99% to 9.99%, why is that a lie in the state of California for a used car Gary? The lies didn’t stop there. The finance manager lady lied to us too. After declining the gap insurance, she actually said it is required and we all know that is not required. The final straw was with the car, it having to be shut off while driving on the freeway on our way home with my elderly folks in the car. The car had lost oil pressure and the readout on the dash said turn the engine off immediately. This was the third mechanical issue with the car, and we agreed that returning the vehicle was best.
This dealership was really nice compared to most and the salesmen were easy to deal with. They had really clean cars for being used (I thought this was a franchise dealer at first), and the prices were fair. Ended up purchasing a car with them and the finance department was awesome. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. My parents told me buying a used car was going to be a pain, they obviously have never been here because it was awesome! Bowen and Simon in the finance department made the whole process easy. Definitely going to tell my friends and parents to go here for a used car!
(Note: this incident happened about two years ago. I drive by this place today and wanted to post a review. By looking at the more recent reviews, it does looks like they havent changed)I was planning to sell my car and took it to this dealership. I already had an offer from two other places. The sales rep gave me a better price and he asked me to come back the next day to finish the transaction. When I returned the next day, the owner was there. He told us that he cant pay whatever was agreed on the previous day. He was very rude and he told something along the lines of are you kidding me? Do you think this car is worth $x?First of all, the appraisal was done by YOU and not me. If you had to rudely insult anyone for the incompetence, you should stand in front of a mirror and shout at yourself.#2 you wasted my time by making me visit your dealership twice and delayed my transaction for no valid reason. You should have actually apologized for your mistake. The audacity you had to insult a customer for your mistake makes me so angry. I dont understand how this place is still in business.
Best place to buy a car hands down. Had a great experience and everyone was very professional. Will definitely be back for another.
I know its late to post but the experience with Roger was great. No hustle at all and No problem too. Easy to talk and communicate with him. My wife was looking for Acadia but We bought 2016 Nissan Rogue and its hella gas saver. plus Omar, the new technical manager is a great guy and hes a People Person. He knows how to listen to customer better than Mika who doesnt listen to the costomers. All he said was leave it to the mechanic. Next time we buy another vehicle were going back to Apex and see Roger if he still works there.
Omar, Jimmy, Greg and Jessica were all friendly and very helpful.
Well, what can I say about this place. I was driving and I saw this nice GMC Sierra truck and I was like! mmmm lets take a look ... magically I came out of the place driving 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭 roger yuan, the seller, convinced me to buy it ... helped me choose the best loan company ...If you are thinking of buying here ... I recommend it 100%.
Best service ever, my car was making a rattle noise somewhere in the dashboard, they offer me a courtesy inspection, they found the origin and they fix it, no charge, Thanks Omar for all the help and excellent customer service
Bought my 14 Hyundai Sonata and I love the car. However when it was purchased long story short, there was a problem with the heating/cooling system. I went back and forth to this dealerships service area and met Omar, the service manager. Figured out what the problem was the first time, but due to my busy schedule, it was really difficult to schedule. I went a couple more times, and finally the last time we were able to fix and finally get my car back on the road. Normally if this were anyone else, I would have given up. But thanks to Omar, he made sure to keep me updated every step of the way and was the real MVP for making sure my system was fixed. He is the true definition of amazing customer service. So thank you and I truly appreciate your help.
Really Helpful made my 1st car buying experience pleasant and Enjoyable. When out of their way to get us in a vehicle that day willing to negotiate came out of it with a really nice truck for an amazing price.
Friendly staff without the hassle. Cars look good & drive well. New & pre-owned vehicles are sold here. They will try to help with financing or find the right bank with the lowest payment possible.
Very good service they take care of you

Honest and attentive service.I recently took my Subaru Forester into Apexs service dept after hearing a whistling noise from the engine. After feeling let down by an overpriced Subaru dealership, i decided to give Apex a try as i live close by and i am sure glad that i did!! Omar diagnosed the problem on the spot and arranged a time to service the vehicle.Jessica then checked in my car and efficiently arranged a loaner so that i could still travel to and from work (bonus!).Jessica and Omar were both in constant communication with me during the service to let me know the car was scheduled to be completed on time, and were up front with the estimated cost for parts and labor so i had full visibility on the work being performed (Omar even showed me the car before the repairs so i had a better understanding of the work). They also washed and detailed the vehicle as well!I can honestly say that this was my best experience of car maintenance and will now always use Apex for future maintenance / repairs, as they exceeded my expectations and restored my faith and trust in the car repair business.
Love this place !! My boyfriend and I went there on a late Thursday night looking for a truck he saw on their website. They were so nice and they even stayed after office hours in helping us finance our truck. We didnt think we were able to get the truck that night since the bank were already closed, but they made it happen. I will go back here again if I will need another car.Thanx again guys!!
Purchased a car from them...one of the lowest hassle car dealership experiences Ive had.No issues with the car. Also, the DMV needed more info from me before they could release the Title from the previous owner, Cristeen was on top of it. Got it taken care of quickly so I could get the title/registration in my name.No complaints! Thank-you!
Great place to buy your car
The people here are really helpful and honest about the condition of their cars. Most of the cars here are in really good condition.
I went to Apex cars in Fremont to looking to purchase either a car or a truck. I was unsure of what vehicle I wanted. The sales staff was friendly enough so I decided to get the vehicle from this lot. The sales staff told me the typical lines, about how they back the product they sale and were a different kind of used car dealership. They told me all of the cars are inspected and are the best of the lot at the auctions. And again told me they back the vehicles they sell. I ended up purchasing a 2006 F 150 with 100,000 miles. I test drove the vehicle and it seemed to run fine. I only test drove it for about four miles. The next day I drove it to work and the rear end started whining after about ten miles of freeway driving. I took the truck back to Apex They told me they would have a Tech look at it. The Tech couldnt find any issues. I was told the rear end fluid was changed. The rear end whining continued. I was able to get one of the staff to ride with me. He heard the noise and told me it would be handled. Nothing was done. Their Tech looked at the bearings and said they were fine. I know they didnt drive the truck because the mile didnt change. I took my truck to a shop and they told me the ring and pinion were going bad and needed to be replaced. I asked Apex if they would help out in the cost, $800.00.I asked if they would pay half, I was told they would contribute $200.00. I know because the car is used they dont have to do anything. but in my opinion this shows they do not back the product they sell. It is easy to be a good dealership when everything goes right, the true test is when things dont work as planned and how the customer is helped. Use a little caution when buying a vehicle at Apex
Well I was in the market of buying a new car ( a Dodge Challenger to be exact ). Saw nice blue 2010 with REALLY low miles that I wanted really bad. I was supposed to meet with Pauline but she had a personal issue she had to deal with so she left early before I got there, which was fine I get it things happen in life and we gotta deal. I’m more than understanding and practical when it comes to these things but the main problem I had with this dealership was the fact Greg DID NOT even let me test drive the car. We go outside to look at it and he jumps in the driver seat, next thing I know we are driving off and he’s tryna sell me a car. That didn’t sit well with me being a young African American man I felt like my ethnicity played a role in that. Multiple Dealerships in Fremont have done this to my dad so they aren’t the only ones, I may be wrong but when you tell someone they could’ve test drove it but you didn’t feel like making copies of my license that’s just bad sales skills. To make things worse I was supposed to hear from Pauline the next day about my financing situation and I didn’t hear anything I called and left messages NOTHING !! So I decided to move on that day and ended up driving off in a 2014 Dodge Challenger from Honda of Oakland no hassle no run around and most importantly they let me test drive the damn car myself, I wish my experience with Apex cars was better but sadly their communication is below satisfactory. Btw I’m not really the review type but this situation really rubbed me the wrong way
Great clean and fare pricing! It was a pleasure doing business with you!
Hello Gary, google recently reminded me that my review got OVER 1000 views on here which I think is great. What is not great, is seeing all the recent 1 star reviews how your staff is very rude over the phone and in person as well as your cars not performing like you say they do. How you run a business is completely reflective of your reviews here. Let me explain. First, you buy your cars from auctions and get them at the right price because they have troubled history and problems with some of them (thats why the big boy dealerships turn them down). Second, you provide in house services on these cars when maybe they should be sent off to professionals. The car we purchased had a sway bar mounted backwards, a cracked engine mount, and an issue with the transfer case. Third, you are PUTTING YOUR EMPLOYEES IN FRONT OF YOUR CUSTOMERS. All these reviews about how rude and disrespectful people were treated upon entering your lot there is no talk of what youre going to do to make sure it doesnt happen again or have your people accountable for what theyve done. Why is this happening so much? Is being respectful to your customers important to you? Fourth, you pat yourself on the back about the quality of your cars. This is overhyped because many cars are having issues like mine did, and your little warranty is nothing but to save your butt after the bandaid repairs break a day after your warranty expires. Actions speak louder than words, and you know exactly what youre doing. When so many cars are breaking and you are doing nothing to make it right means you are not standing behind the quality of your cars. Im sorry you were caught with your parents down. Last, you are a liar. This is the main point, and I will explain. You never spoke with me or my dad on the phone like you said you did. I reached out to you more than three times and you never responded, and you lied to everyone reading it on here because you said I was lying. You also lied about flushing the fluid in the transfer case, I have proof. That, Gary, is why I took my experience on here, and because you didnt like I put my experience on here and got butthurt you fired back. You wanted to blow us off like we didnt matter, remember actions speak louder than words, and I got that. Even though I said I was going to put my experience on here when I was mad the day I walked in, it was merely a bargaining chip so we could work this out professionally. And since my actions speak for themselves, I didnt follow through with what I said for weeks while I was still trying to work it out with you and your team. But then I realized you werent going to return my call. So this is what I resorted to. My review reflects the way you handled this situation, and if we would have worked something out this would have never happened. I wish you luck in running this business and Ill be here to read others experiences.
Very nice lot and staff. Very professional place with nice cars.
I consider myself a review savvy person, doing my due diligence and reading reviews for businesses way before walking in the door, which is exactly what I did with this place. I found it very odd that they are so highly rated on Yelp but then their google page is pretty bad. I decided to go with my gut and visit this place anyways and Im so glad I did. I can now see this business is being affected by the lovely keyboard warriors of the world. Who uses butthurt in a review anyways.. sounds like you need to get a day job in something other then trying to hurt other peoples credibility. For anyone reading my review take into consideration that people who personally attack someone in a review are usually more unhappy with themselves then the business or other person. I just purchased a Dodge Durango from these guys and I couldnt believe the customer service compared to the other dealers in this area. I spoke with both Ben the manager and Gary the owner who couldnt have been a nicer, ya they are car guys but you can tell they care about more then their bottom line. You really get the family business atmosphere here because they ask you things about YOU, not just about how much money you have right now and try to hustle you into buying something you probably dont want to begin with. The pressure here is non existent, I sat here contently drinking my coffee and speaking with the manager like I was talking to an old friend, which is exactly why I purchased here. I didnt feel forced or like I was being tricked, they genuinely cared about what I was looking for and that means something to me when it comes to making a big purchase. Anyways on to my beauty of a car, they were kind enough to let me have it checked by an outside source, even though they gave me all of the paperwork from their shop plus the carfax, I wanted to be sure. Well it came back with a great bill of health and here I am cruising with my dog down to Big Sur in my brand (like) new car, who also very much likes the leather seats and extra room to sprawl (compared to my old Toyota...lol). I would recommend Apex again and again, I never in my life have gone into a car dealership and walked out feeling the way I did, which is definitely something to be talked about.
I just called in to ask about a vehicle they have listed online and asked about their price and can we negotiate on price before we head out to see it. sale rep immediately said “it’s the lowest and best price, no room for negotiation, so if we are looking for cheaper price then good luck,” I politely thank them and we hung up.... well, they called me back couple days later to follow up... again still, their price is best and lowest...I said for that mileage I can only offer $ much. The sales rep said “well you will have to look for older cars or higher mileage cars for $ that we are offering them...have you been searching around?” I didnt want to spill the beans but I had enough of his attitude and I told them we found a similar car at same price but mileage is a lot lower 27k miles instead of 43k miles on CarGurus (Marin Lexus). He sounded upset and said “ok I’ll take you off the list and not contact you anymore because you sound like you not awake yet!”.... we never asked to be on the list in the first place!!! That was a very RUDE comment. We will never shop here. If you looking for rude, not professional Sales rep with attitude, then go check them out!
We came here to buy a car that we liked long story short we bought a car from a dealer in the area, they won’t budge on the price so my wife checked google and we did find the same exact car with 13000 miles more for half the price just one word way way overpriced probably just to cover there rent or mortgage lol
Michelle was geeat!
Bought my durango here! Good people!
The attendants and service people at Apex were very helpful
Has cars.
Congratulations to the Apex team you got my support
Good service! I bought a car here?!!
The attendents are very bad they gave all fake promises and when came to real they just change their words don’t trust them.customer service is worse I ever had .please don’t trust what they say and they make you unnecessary protection like portfolio protection for 1523 they are not useful at all I would recommend don’t ever buy a car from them.especially guys named joe, Pauline and Ben be careful with these people
One star for Ben, who ridiculously came to me and told me that he thought I am INTERRUPTING HIS BUSINESS. While I was just chatting with another customer while waiting for someone to pick me up after seeing a car. This was after he had told a salesman that I am interrupting business and had aksed him to ignore me. All these makes me feel extremely offended. And also makes me feel they are trying to HIDE SOME FACTS from the customer that I chatted with.I notice the owner of this place has been replying to the one star comments on Google Maps, YELP and other places. So I hope you could see this comment. There are better ways to keep good reputation, for example, to fire Ben.Although my experience with the salesman Claude is good, I am not going to buy my car here. Never want to meet this Ben again!
The vehicle I purchased proved to be unreliable and unsatisfactory. Air conditioning has a leak, front suspension has problems, transfer case is problematic as per manufacturer. Dealer tried to fix but didnt follow manufacturer service instructions. Said they were not aware of service instructions issued by manufacturer. StupidGary, two Mercedes dealers have confirmed the transfer case is in need of replacement. Im looking at several thousand in cost for this. I recall you saying a couple of statements, one being that we stand behind what we sell and I believe in doing the right thingI would like to know what if anything you will do to address this issueMark CostelloGary, I would like to comment on your note to Joseph regarding the Mercedes purchase at your dealership. First, Its disappointing neither Joseph or myself was able to have dialog with you even after repeated phone request to your office staff and your voicemail. Now we have to do this publicly, not by our choice. Joseph test drove the car once and so did I. Both test drives were short. Obviously we cant see internally whats going on, such as the drive train. When I drove the car I felt the weirdness of the AWD while turning but was told it was normal by the salesman, Chris. So I believed it. I was also told that Apex stands behind what they sell and that Apex performs a safety and general inspection of each vehicle. Additionally I was told that Apex staff drives the vehicles home before they go on the lot. Given these statements, I felt a level of comfort that this vehicle must be ok. It appeared to be a really clean car to us. At this point Apex staff seemed to be honest and sincere. Since I was paying a premium for the vehicle and was told the vehicle was driven home by staff and the general appearence, I did decline the extended warranty. Big mistake on my part. During the 2nd week of ownership the power steering pump started making a whining noise. We checked the fluid and looked for leaks, and it was empty with no signs of leakage. Then Joseph brought to my attention the front suspension was getting worse than it was originally and there was clunking noise in the front suspension. We called in the third week of ownership. By the time we could arrange a ride back from dropping it off ( during that third week) and when Apex could look at it was just under 200 miles over the 1,000.00 short term warranty that came with the purchase. Apex staff was willing to look into the issues and gracefully did change the transfer case fluid and charged the AV as it wouldnt provide cold air. Before Joseph drove the car home, after the fluid change he went back and told MIIka it was no different. I never would think Apex would hang their hat on the mileage during the third week of ownership especially given the type of issues we were concerned about. These dont happen in such short mileage. Miika suggested to me we take it to Keystone auto. We took it there and they found a loud power steering pump probably from be run low on fluid. They found a cracked engine mount which is a safety item that was probably missed by Apex staff during their safety inspection. Craig said he would pay up to $300.00. We have seen nothing and actually was told Miika called Keystone stating they were not responsible for any expense on this car. That repair cost me $750.00. They did state the front AWD feeling while turning seemed normal but when I went back to them about the clunking noise they did hear it and felt it while we drove it, they couldnt find the source of that noise. So what we have is a AWD vehicle that feels out of the ordinary to me while turning, a clunking noise in the front suspension, a loud power steering bearing and a dealer who refuses to have dialog over the phone. Yes, we are frustrated. And yes after purchasing a vehicle having it in the shop twice since purchase in 5 weeks, seems like crap to me.I asked Apex to take the vehicle back and was offered $5,000 less to buy back the vehicle 3 weeks after purchase was not acceptable.
UPDATE: This will be my final review for this company. This is coming from someone who has bought many cars from dealers, and private sellers. To the people who are looking to buy from here, I learned that small time dealerships (like Apex) get their cars that the big shot dealerships dont want. This is because the name brand dealers have first right to refusal for vehicles that come up to auction, and then it goes to the small time dealers to buy. These vehicles are most likely not wanted because of the history of the car or if theres something wrong with it. All the cars on the lot come from these auctions, where the big name dealers have no interest in buying them (that should tell you something). My advice is to walk away and buy from a reputable dealer (or private party) to avoid all this. You dont want vehicles that not even the bigger dealers want. You will end up spending way less too, because Apex wants you to come in and say how much you can afford each month and then they get to choose how long those payments are being made for. The car I purchased had problems that ended up costing me thousands that Ill never get back. The cars appear to be in good condition and they back it up by standing behind their inspection they do on them. The very highly skilled technicians at Apex failed to diagnose a problem with the car that caused it to shake violently up front when even taking the slightest turn, saying it was normal. It ended up being low fluid level in the transfer case. 2 weeks after buying it I noticed the power steering fluid was low, $50 from MB dealer later and it had a terrible power steering whine. I spent almost $1000 on a broken engine mount. The last mechanic I took it to found out the sway bar was installed backwards and was rubbing on other suspension components, this couldnt be safe. I reached out to the owner of Apex for over 2 weeks with no response from him on his private phone, and the only response received was via google reviews when he disliked the truth I was saying about his company. Theres even someone else who had nearly the same experience as I did with a truck he bought, look through the reviews youll find it. Everything being told is the truth and nothing but the truth, and his previous defenses against those are lies to protect his ratings on the internet. This is shown when the onyl communication Greg and I have had is here. Gets me every time, we stand behind the vehicles we sell. If you stand behind each and every vehicle dont be a scumbag and start doing the right things for your customers. DO NOT make the mistake I made, it will cost you dearly. Greg, I know youre reading this, my advice for you is to realize where your vehicles are coming from and to next time choose to do the right thing for your customers because it goes a long way.My first impression of this dealership when looking at an MB was that they were overpriced and tried to portray all their cars as in tip top shape. I was burned by them through the purchase of a car when it led to problems when the power steering pump got burned up because there was no fluid in it. Tried to reason with them and it got no where. Left messages, went in and tried to deal with the problem, nothing. Very unprofessional and everyone is there is a joke. Craig the sales manager likes to say things under his breath. Do not buy from this place, you will make the same mistake I did.
Apexcars was a very good experience. They helped us every step of the way. They worked with us to get a monthly payment that would work for us. We went home with a new car. Thanks Apex.
Roger lied and so did his bosses.. I was told loan is approved on Tuesday and to come with the cash for my down payment. Got to Apex and it wasnt even processed..... Straight lies!!
