Owner/s are professional and knowledgeable. They certainly are busy so call in advance for appointments. Dead honest, wont do unnecessary work to make extra buck off of you. They are reliable and courteous. Ive brought family cars here since original owner/operator before bud, who was previous owner/operator. Im glad its been my source of any electrical/mechanical diagnostic/repairs. 👍🏆

Ken is always helpful and doesnt try to sell more than what you need. He takes great care of his customers. I cant imagine going anywhere else.

I was really surprised to find a mechanic shop that wouldnt try to take advantage of my situation. Their price was less than half what everyone else quoted me and they were upfront with suggestions that benefited me and not their bank account. Ill keep their contact info in case Im ever in the bay area again and need a mechanic.

Its great to find a good local shop that can perform maintenance at a great price and in a timely manner. Decided to avoid the dealership to get my front brakes replaced and an oil change and found Performance and worked with Ken. No BS and honest, what more can you ask for in a shop.

Honesty is not usually something mechanic shops are known for...As most folks having an issue with their vehicles, this was my main concern as I am fixing up a 2001 Audi S4 to ensure its all ready to go to a nice home.After reading the reviews about this place, I decided to give it a shot. My interactions with Brent and Ken were great from the get-go. They were accommodating and scheduled me pretty quickly.The car needed the coolant system flushed, and some other maintenance. In addition, the transmission linkage was not in great shape. This is where my honesty comment comes into play: the shop could have asked me for $$$ to replace the transmission or something much more complicated than what the issue really was. Most shops would probably do that, but Brent and his team found the root-cause, and fixed it for very little money.Thank you guys - Ill definitely come back for upgrade work on my other cars.

Nice service they tight all of my ball joints and lower control arm bolts because every time I press my break its have a clunking noise now my 2007 Nissan versa hatchback s is okey and they just charge me for 45$

These guys are great! They are knowledgeable, get things done when they say they will and dont charge you for things you dont need. Been taking my cars here for a few years now. Brent and Ken are really nice people and are the only ones in the area that Id recommend.

PAC did a quick checkup of my vehicle for fault report given by Honda dealership. Verified everything and looked good. So PAC will not suggest unnecessary works. Happy with the quick service.

I have had a number of services done here including things as simple as an oil change and more complicated things like fixing my power steering.Theyve done their best to educate me on issues with my vehicle, my options, and cost breakdowns.I will admit that labor prices are higher than other shops but I feel that their communication and willingness to work with me on timing and explanations makes it worth.Checking out and diagnosing the problem is free and they will take the time to make sure you feel safe in your vehicle. They have stayed late and come in early for my fixes when I needed them urgently.I spent the last year and a half in the bay trying out a few shops but ultimately wont be looking anymore!

Great for American made and some foreign imports. Never bring a importvehicle here for computer resets. They are honest and will tell you that they cannot provide that service. Thats after AAA already towed your vehicle to their shop and it has sat for a few days. Price for doing nothing was fair. Never bring a Range Rover, Jaguar, Volvo, Porche to this location for resolving engine computer issues. Save yourself the time and bring your vehicle to a approved dealership. They do however do great work on classic custom cars.

Amazing service!! If you want an honest mechanic, fair prices... sounds too good to be true but... this is the place! This place came recommended to me by a local that said those same words to me and I didnt believe him...! But I must say... they are very efficient and a great shop! Came by this shop due to their reviews on both Google andYelp. I usually go to the dealership in Redwood City but was in the Fremont area when my car wouldn’t start. I called the shop mid afternoon and they said I can have my car towed over for diagnosis.They quickly identified the issue, and were able to repair my car by early the next morning. Bud is best there is! He is not only honest but he knows cars and trucks inside and out! He also has the most competitive pricing in the area! We drive clear from Clayton to bring our Mercedes and Silverado to Bud! My hubby was having problems with his Chevy . We brought it to Bud and knowing my hubby needed his truck for work, Bud offered his truck to my hubby to use while his was being repaired! How many people would offer that? Wow! He also has fixed a major problem on my Mercedes that even the specialists at the dealership could not fix! Bud and his team are the best!

Needed to find a place to service my Mercedes and the dealership was asking for way to much ! and other shops that I called made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by calling them or it felt like I was being overly sold to.Spoke to the owner about service A and he gave me a very reasonable quote and he even advised about ( and showed me !!! ) some things that I may need later . He even saved me some money by telling me about my tire warranty and how I could get them serviced and rotated where I bought them, even though he could do it there.Definitely made me feel good about my decision to go here !

Found Performance thru a referral from a friend. My car had developed a crack in the windshield that had finally spread to the point that it was affecting my visibility. I spoke with Kent? at the shop who was able to book an appointment for me the next morning, all at a very reasonable price.Dropped the car off in the morning and was able to pick up the same day after work. When we were going over the car, I asked about giving the car a general health chekc since I was going on a long road trip for the holidays. I was going to do this at the dealership but found that these guys can do the same thing for half the cost. Will be taking my car back in next week.Thanks again!

Pretty decent prices and good service

Found this shop when looking for a a mechanic to service my Lexus. Im new to town and didnt want to go to the dealer. The staff seems honest and efficient and they took very good care of my car. The shop is easy to find online, but a bit difficult to find as it is in a complex of many shops, and BEHIND a closed down Meinike. Now that I know the place, I will be taking my car here.

It is always difficult to gauge how good an auto repair shop is until youve gone through the process with them from A to Z. Luckily for me, I placed my bet on PAC, and they did not disappoint!From Brents (owner) response to my quote request, to my live conversation with Ken (general manager), it was very clear that this shop upholds the true meaning professionalism and honesty! We discussed what I felt needed to be done on my vehicle, but more importantly we discussed what is typically addressed based on mileage and normal wear and tear. They assured me that a full diagnosis would dictate their recommendation, but they would only execute upon my approval.Brent kept me informed every step of the way, and gave me an accurate estimate for the repairs I agreed to. I typically take my vehicles to the dealership, so I guess you can say I finally got tired of wasting money on ridiculously inflated labor charges. My repair was done with OEM parts, and my car is running like it is brand spankin new! Get this, I live in San Jose, but I now make the trek to Fremont to get ALL of my vehicles serviced by PAC. That should sum up how good these guys are.

Pros

I came to Bud for oil leaking and 100k miles maintenance. He quoted me $1100 for auto-transmission oil leaking repair and replacement, timing belt replacement and oil change. His quote was kind of high, but if he can perform thorough check, identified, solved the problems and do preventive care, I dont mind to pay a little extra to have a peace of mind.But I was wrong, very very wrong, this was a nightmare and this workshop is a scam. I left my car there for more than a week, giving him sufficient time to perform the jobs. I took my car back, the next day, I started to see problems, the engine oil light was on, engine jerk with a very loud noise, like it was going to tear apart.I went back to him, he got his worker to fill up the engine oil and the car engine was ok by then. It seemed to me that his worker forgot to put in the engine oil when they performed the oil change, they might just drained the dirty engine oil, and didnt put in the new oil or put insufficient oil in it, whether they replaced the oil filter or not, I doubt about it, what I knew was -- I was charged for an oil change that was not happened! I asked him for a reason of why this was happened, His answers to my questions were nothing but clever evasions, instead of talking about the problems, he just skirt around them. Such a conman.5 months later, I went back for oil change and engine oil leaking problem (ya, you are right, he didnt detect the engine oil leaking issue 3 month ago when I left my car for more than a week in his workshop for thorough inspection). Again, he didnt give me a satisfying answer, nor repair the oil leaking issue, he charged me $60 plus for oil change and 2 light buds replaced. He told me just to top up engine oil whenever its low, and thats it -- the Buds way of engine oil leaking problem solving skill!He said I need replacement of breakpad and auto transmission oil. Transmission oil replacement? I just did it 5 months ago with all the other services and costed me $1100! He then claimed that the auto transmission oil performed was only part of it. Well, if this was partly replacement, then why it was charged so costly? And I dont trust him anymore, I went to another workshop for second opinion, the breakpad is okay, no replacement needed!I was so pissed off, obviously I was fooled by this Bud fellow. Never come back and I despise him for his dishonestly.
