The whole experience was pleasant and turned a bad situation with our car breaking down, into a much more stress free situation. Douglas is the definition of “above and beyond.” He appeared like magic out of the dark on short notice to save me and 2 teenagers and drove us all the way to Austin from Fredericksburg. Douglas is the literal unicorn of roadside assistance.We endured a 4+ hour ordeal with AAA not showing up after a 90 minute wait, then being in a seemingly endless phone loop of AAA people not knowing what was going on, stranded late night at Enchanted Rock SP with a bum alternator (we had just enough battery to get into F-burg after AAA no-showed us). Once AAA finally figured their business out, Douglas showed up in TEN minutes. Ten. Minutes. After calling several tow companies with negative results, we were at our wits end when we called Douglas Towing to help us when our vehicle broke down literally in the middle of nowhere. Two months ago my husband sold a vehicle to someone who never transferred the vehicle to their name. We know this as we received bills for Texas toll usage. Fast forward to two weeks ago,Douglas (owner)left a voicemail asking for assistance with a vehicle they had to tow that was registered in my husband’s name. Come to find out the vehicle was involved in a wreck and as mentioned, still in my husband’s name.I was besides myself after finding this out so I contacted Douglas and let me tell y’all......if you EVER need a tow or roadside assistance please call Douglas Towing. My car slide onto the side of the road due to ice while traveling to Kerriville on Hwy 16. I called 911 and USAA to get NO help at all. Douglas Towing came by and stopped. Although unable to haul my vehicle, they gave my daughter and myself a ride to a nearby hotel which was 10 miles up the road. If they would not have done that, we would have been stuck in the car with temperature dropping and a quarter of a tank of gas. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Douglas rescued us TWICE yesterday! He got us to the auto parts store and then when the folks at the auto parts store couldn’t help us, we had to call Douglas back and he came to help! I was so impressed by his knowledge with cars, he really knows his stuff. We were headed to Houston from Fredericksburg and he checked out everything else under the hood and to make sure we’d make it safely. What was going to be a most disastrous night turned out to be a good night, thanks to Douglas Towing and Roadside Assistance. Truly served me in my time of great need. And when it was all done, I realized that I had not even asked the gentleman his name. But I did find out that he is a retired veteran of war, having served in Iraq. Several times over the past few years Douglas has rescued us from vehicle problems. One call and he sends one of his guys out to save us. Last time his lead man, Bubba, quickly got there, and towed our truck to the ranch. Funny guy too. Professional and hard working. Douglas should give Bubba a raise.

Douglas not only tried to fix the car, but he then reached out to the local Ford dealer for assistance and was responsible for getting the car fixed in expedited fashion. We were terrified when a car tried to pass on the left as I was turning left and hit us. I have never been in a car accident before, and on top of that I was alone with my 4 children on a dangerous road. Being a single mother, I dont have a lot of people to call and ask for help, so OnStar sent Douglas. He came right away, even though I had to leave my vehicle he was able to get it quickly and took it to his yard. On the way out there, i was nervous, but my fears were relieved when I finally met Douglas. He is so kind, helpful and caring. He has a safe yard and I was not at all worried about my vehicle after seeing his place. We live in another city, and its nice to know that my vehicle will be held safely until the insurance will get it. In this terrible situation we found ourselves in, he really made things easier. Got a blown tire on the middle of nowhere, was told by my insurance co. that the tow will 90 min to get where I was. Douglas from the tow co. arrived in less than an hour. Stuck in Kerrville on fathers day. While driving something popped up and and punched a hole in our radiator . We were dead in the water. Douglas came to the rescue and was able to tow our car to the dealership in Boerne. He dropped it off after hours and put our car key in their dropbox along with a note for them to call us. It is always tough when you are away from home and you have car issues. You pray that you find someone you can trust. Douglas is someone you can trust!! I wish everyone was like him. I cant say enough nice stuff about Douglas. He was a life saver when we were in town on a babymoon/5th wedding anniversary trip. Our truck broke down so we were checking into getting it back home 3 hours away. After explaining our situation he got us in contact with a mechanic to see if there was anything we could do to get it going. Douglas ended up showing up just to lend a hand in any way that he could. He suggested a rental because it would be closing soon, drove us there and they were closed so he offered to drive us to Kerrville which is 30 minutes away. We would not have been able to get a rental without his help and so thankful that we called him. Douglas went above and beyond to get us back on the road.
