I went to Nice car care to get a new S Belt for my Navigator and was informed that I also needed a fan clutch. Service was honest professional and straightforward. I would recommend Nice!
Best place great service
Jim the owner. Works with you to get the most accurate pricing for work to be done. Offers multiple services at good prices. And you can get coupons to use on the Nice Car Care website.
I am in the area for school. In 3 weeks Ill be heading back to New Jersey. My Chevrolet Avalanche was having some brake issues (a frozen caliper). Unfortunately for me, it needed to be fixed today. Fortunately, I found Jim and his great staff at Nice Car Car. I arrived at 2pm and by 2:10 pm, the truck was in the shop. By 4 pm, the truck was fixed and I was out the door. I do not know of any car repair shop in New Jersey that would have taken me right away and had the truck fixed within 2 hours. Jim and his crew went above and beyond what I would have expected. I would almost consider making the 4 hour trip back here to have my truck serviced. That is how good Jim and his crew are and how much I value the work they did. I am very envious of anyone who lives within a 50 mile radius (1 hour drive) of Nice Car Care. As most of the previous comments have said, a good car repair shop is like a good doctor. Once you find them, youll go out of your way to see them. And as I said in my case, a 4 hour trip does not seem to be too big of a price too pay to see the great people at Nice Car Care.
Courteous, prompt and professional shop, this is a place where you can really trust the owner and his team.I have a great story to share about Nice Auto in Franklin. My 2013 Lexus has been having transmission problems. So I took it to the Lexus dealer to have it checked out. The same dealer I have been using for service since buying the car in 2013. My car has 180,000 miles. They looked at the car, charged me $155 to diagnose the problem, and concluded by telling me I had a “tired” transmission that needed to be replaced and quoted $9000 to do the work.I wanted a second opinion on that quote and called Nice Auto. One of the owners took my call and invited me to bring the car in to be checked out. He told me he could get me a new transmission if I needed one, but that he figured it would make sense to first check things out to make sure a new transmission was needed.I went in the next morning and I immediately felt good about Nice Auto. Jim was incredibly friendly and recalled our conversation from the day before - so I didn’t need to review any details with him or provide any additional info - he had written it all down and he was ready to go.By 3 pm, I had connected with Jim and he told me that after checking things out, he believed he had solved the problem by resetting the adaptive transmission. He invited me back to the shop to test it out, which I did that afternoon. Amazingly, the car works like new. No new transmission necessary. All up, the cost to me was the time that Jim spent checking things out, which was just an hour - barely $100. I was thrilled.Selfishly, what’s great about this story is this: when the Lexus dealer told me the transmission would cost $9000, I was debating between buying a new car and paying a dealer $9000 for a new transmission. But Jim, because he thought it made sense to check things out before suggesting a new transmission should be installed, figured out the problem and saved me thousands and thousands of dollars. And I am super thankful to him for doing that! The service I got from Jim was courteous, prompt, and professional. And honest. And based on his ability to diagnose and solve an issue that the professional certified Lexus service people could not figure out, it is easy to conclude that Jim is highly competent and capable. My only regret is that I’ve not been giving my business to Nice Auto in Franklin over the years. They will be getting it from now on.
We have always had good experiences with Nice Car Care. Professional and timely service and without any upcharges.
Jim is a great, caring owner. He is responsive to my calls and takes the time to explain exactly what is going on and how to fix my car. Very reliable and trustworthy. Definitely a good name for this business, NICE Car Care! Eileen Mason
Jim is great! Best repair shop in Franklin. Very friendly. Reasonable rates.
Jim and his staff have always been courteous, fair and quick. I have saved many hundreds of dollars and much time over competing places by dealing with Nice Car Care.
Best garage around, bought a new car had a bunch of stuff done with a huge discount. We had one particular part come in a couple days later that i had already paid for to be installed and everything, so when it comes in and they bring the car in to the garage to replace it, the original non-working part was working again all of the sudden... so he wrote me a check for the money i spent on the part and the installation fee write there on the spot. The owner Jim is a stand up guy thats honest and right to the point, if your having problems with your car I highly recommend this place Im coming here regularly now!!! Been looking for a mechanic like this for a long time!
Work fast and very well. A bit pricey for me-but priced better than other local places. So when youre in dire need- definitely the place to go
Excellent honest service, prices that are fair and honest too. We are extremely loyal to Jim and his team because of this. Recommended without hesitation - we’ve been bringing our vehicles here for four years now.
Nice Car Care is a great place to get your car serviced. Theyre speedy and pleasant and know ALL about cars. Prices are reasonable and theyre conveniently located near Forge Park. Ive been very happy with them so far.
I stopped here by chance after being in the area for business and my mini-cooper all of sudden started to sputter and the check engine light came on. I was in a panic. Luckily I drove right by this place and pulled in. I was driving between work appointments on a time crunch and Jim calmly agreed to take a look even though I said I had to be back in Boston for work in less than 2 hours. Within 45 minutes, he diagnosed the problem, ordered and got the new part, and had me out the door back on the road. This place is amazing, and the prices are very honest and reasonable. Highly recommend.
The owner, Jim, is great! I own a small business a mile away and what spearates Jim from the rest is his level of service. Not just in their work but in the terrific customer service weve received over the years. As we all know, good customer service is rare. Jim and his staff go above and beyond!!
Brought in a used car for a pre-purchase inspection. The car hadnt been driven in many months, and there was a loud, squealing noise coming from the front wheels, so I wanted to know what I was getting into.I asked the owner, Jim, to give the car a once-over and let me know of anything that might need repairing. I asked him specifically to look at the wheels because I thought it might need new brakes. He took down the info in his notes. He called the next day and said they had looked over the car and it was in great shape! It needed nothing except a couple exhaust pipes replaced. What about the brakes? I asked.Oh, the brakes are fine. The noise is probably just because the car has been sitting for a while. It should go away once you drive around a bit, he said.I drove away, listening to that loud squealing noise, and his explanation didnt sit right with me. So I pulled into another mechanic down the street. They said they would take a quick look. In 30 seconds, they noticed two major safety hazards:1. All 4 brake pads were completely worn. The front brakes were metal-on-metal. No pad left at all.2. The front right tire had a large, very obvious gash about 4 long across the side. I asked if there was any chance this could have happened in the 2 minutes it took me to drive there, and he said no, it was older than that. This new mechanic warned me, Dont drive this car on the highway. He pointed to the tire, showing me the deepest part of the cut. Its not just a surface cut -- its goes almost all the way through the sidewall. What would happen if I did? I asked him.Blowout. With the tire in this shape, its only a matter of time. Trust me, you dont want to risk that happening at highway speeds. Its not worth it.I thanked him and left.I hate to give any business a 1-star review. Its nothing personal. Everyone makes mistakes. But this mistake is just too big to let slide. Hopefully Nice Car Care will take this information into consideration when looking at ways to improve the quality of their automotive service.
I was traveling from New York with 3 small kids in my car when I started having engine problems on I-495 and I was able to make it off the highway and find this repair shop. They ran diagnostics for me free of charge to find out what was wrong so I could let the dealership know. They were very friendly to my family and kids while we rented a car to continue to our final vacation destination. They even let me keep my car there so a tow truck could pick it up the following day.Everyone who worked there was very nice and friendly. I am thankful that they were so kind!
THE NICEST! I was stranded on the highway 70+ miles away from home and called to find a local shop to have my Jeep towed to. Jim answered the phone and immediately asked me what was going on with my car. I explained my situation and he told me to have it brought down and they would take a look, no problem. Once there Jims staff immediately got to work and diagnosed the problem: A SEIZED MOTOR. He broke the bad news kindly and refused to take any money from me for a diagnostic fee. I wish I lived closer so that I could bring all my business to these guys.
Jim and his staff know their stuff, they are fair and give good quality services with minimum waiting time. I will gladly continue to be a customer.
The owner Jim was very helpful and trustworthy. I didnt get nickeled and dimed, just good quality work for a fair price!
Very consistant and reliable service. I have been bringing a number of cars here for past five years and have never had a negative experience. The prices are fair and they never perform work that is not needed. I like the fact that they point out things they may become an issue in the future. Patient and very knowledgable.
Best car repair place I know. The owner is honest and fair!
