I finally found a local mechanic that is honest, great and actually gets customer service. I recently bought a used Toyota 4Runner for my 16 year old son as his first car. I knew purchasing an older car with high miles would require that I invest in some maintenance to the vehicle in order to ensure the safety for my kid. Jeff and the Grassland team are exceptional at both their jobs and the service they provide. I have already recommended to several friends.

As a young, adult female, I’ve always been warned about untrustworthy car sales and repairmen, but when I go here, I know that I’ll be taken care of well and genuinely. Especially with Jeff who has become a family friend over the years as we have continued to come back again and again because of the high quality kindness and help he’s always given us. My BMW is 10 years old with only 30,000 miles. Grassland has been my go-to provider after the free dealer maintenance expired. They do a great job on the services requested (like oil changes) and then make reasonable recommendations on general items that need to be done. They never push too many things or fail to tell me about something important. Not only are their prices good, but I trust them to do a good job and keep my car up to date.

What an amazing discovery! I have been driving 25 mins for auto repair at the dealership with TERRIBLE service! Not only is this place quick but they are amazing with customer service, repair time, and communication. They also have loaner cars which is a game changer! I will never go anywhere else! I took my jeep in, for a suspected oil leak, and they got to it same day. SUPER friendly staff, very communicative, explained everything and offered a loaner car. The service was great and I left very satisifed. Definitely plan on going back in the future for auto needs.

Totally honest and upfront. In fact they actually referred me to a BMW dealership because they felt theyd be cheaper given the specific repair. And didnt charge me. Totally good people there, Jeff specifically. Also had a loaner I used(not a nice car, but a car none the less).

Beware! We have gone to Grassland for years and up to about a year ago we felt we were being treated fairly. We had some maintenance done and the price for the work done was twice what i thought it should be. I just dismissed it based on the good will they had accumulated with me over the years. This time we went back for a catalytic converter replacement and got a quote of $4400. I finally decided to look elsewhere. Just got the same exact work done for $960. I don’t know if ownership or management has changed, but they have completely lost my trust. Proceed cautiously.

In just one, Next Day service, my 04 Tacoma had a Check engine diagnostic, power steering fluid change and a brake fluid change for a reasonabe charge at Grassland Car Care. With the simple gas cap replacement, I can now get my trusty Taco truck inspected and tagged.

If you want a place that is up front and honest with the customers then look no further!!! Top notch customer service and I will only be using them from here on!!! Highly recommended!!!

They have bent over backwards for our family, often throwing in little services here and there since they have known us for years. This is a business that takes care of their family.We have taken all of our cars and trucks to Grassland Car Care for years. Businesses like this make Williamson County feel like a true community. The gentlemen at GCC take great pride in good work. Recently, while doing regular maintenance on my Pilot and son’s Tundra, they switched out our rotors for free because they had issues with their former supplier and were not satisfied with the quality of the parts. I never would have known, yet THEY did, and took care of it. I have always felt like they look at their customers as family- I have stopped by numerous times with minor questions like, “Are my tires low?” “I hit something- did I damage anything under my car?” And they have just checked it, fixed it and sent me on my way. When I don’t understand an issue with my car, they have taken me under my car, shown me the part and helped me to understand the mechanics.I can’t say enough about this business. They have a great staff!! I called them to replace my alternator and they did it that day at a very fair price. They even let me use one of there vehicles while they worked on my vehicle. I will continue to go see them with my vehicle needs.

The guys at Grassland were awesome as they diagnosed the issues I was having with my 98 Honda. They treated me as if I owned a brand new car. I scheduled an appointment for an alignment for my 80’ Silverado w/ an all new suspension and steering components. It did have an initial alignment before bringing it in. One of their flat rate mechanics had the nerve to tell me, that I was going to be charged for TWO alignments, when I ask him to rearrange some shims during the alignment. This was maybe a 20 minute process. I promptly ask him to back my truck out. The two people at the front desk had the audacity to go along with this practice of gouging. I explained to them, “I understand flat rate pay scale and I know business is slow after the holidays, but they can’t over charge people”. I will never walk in that shop again !

I finally found a shop loaded with honest, competent mechanics! They took stellar care of my square-body K5, a vehicle I’ve been making the rounds with. Three hard to solve issues were dealt with the first day. No one seems to know how to (or want to) work on older American made trucks these days. SOOOO glad I found these guys!

What a great experience! The guys were honest and helpful and the service was completed the same day!

Would not recommend for hybrid batteries. They say they are hybrid battery mechanics. Brought my Prius to them to figure out a check engine. They told me it needed a module, so I had them replace it. $1,000 later they replaced it and I left in the car. Not 2 miles later the check engine and battery light came on. They never returned my calls after I wrote the $1000 check, I always had to call them. Brought the car back and they said they would figure it out. They stalled and told me it needed to be programmed by Toyota. Still did not fix it. Brought it back again and they told me “just drive it”. Did not fix the problem. I had to sell the car for next to nothing, after paying them all this money for nothing, and they told me they would only charge me for their cost for the part and not charge me for labor, and they never did. I called multiple times and never got a response, and never got any money back.

I was very impressed with the professionalism, clear communication, explanations, no pressure atmosphere, and timeliness of Grassland Car Care Center. I especially appreciate the work of Tim who was my point person. In summary:- Appointment scheduling was simple- Check-in was smooth with appropriate questions to clarify my needs and clear expectations for cost and how long it would take- Follow up phone call was timely, clearly laid out findings with costs and rationale, and low pressure - helping me think through prioritization of work- Pick up was efficient with clear summary of work done and recommendations for future work.I have found it rare to find a car shop that instills trust and confidence. Done a lot of work with these guys, but I have a fleet of 5 cars all with 100k miles so to be expected. Every time they get the repair on time and at quoted price. Follow up is great as well. I never leave thinking I got ripped off.

Fantastic service. Theyre straight with me and did exactly what I wanted plus checks a few extra things to make sure my truck is in perfect condition. Theres a reason they have so many great reviews on here

I have a 65 Mustang. Nothing but headaches with these guys. Brakes were installed incorrectly, as in the brake line was connected to bleeder valve. Exhaust was not correct. I did not make it home 3 times and had to take it back. I had to pay another shop to correct 90% of the work I paid Grassland to do. Took it back for some warranty work and they broke the mounting bracket for alternator. Instead of getting a new bracket they welded it back together. They did not honor a verbal agreement to do the work as credit for me having to pay someone else to fix what they did wrong. Still have exhaust issues and I feel they are stole from me. I do not recommend.

Good customer service. They communicate every detail. They guarantee the work. Will use them again, if this car acts up.

Told me it would be $60. Got back to the shop and it was $215.

What an amazing business these guys run! They waaay exceeded my expectations. The communication was impeccable. I was given detailed explanations of what was wrong with my Jeep, what needed to be repaired and what other repairs were recommended. The turn around time was great and it was nice to not have to wonder how many more days I’d be without a car. They were really quick! Tim explained what I can do differently so I don’t keep destroying my clutch every 10 months 😬. Thanks guys! You now have a new customer for life who is also a better driver .🙂

They were able to get my car in that day, and have it back to me by the following day. Moreover, Tim identified another potential looming issue with Pilot, which the dealership did not. Cannot express in words how excellent these guys are. Knowledgeable, courteous, and all around great! I had been taking my car to the dealership for years. Kept having issues with losing oil and other small things. After first trip to Grassland Car Care they were able to diagnose the issue and set up a game plan to resolve the issue. They talk at your level and will show you pictures and explain what they show you so you know that repairs are legit. After the final step in my repair plan, my car hasnt run this smooth in years. BEWARE of this place!! They installed an after-market ill-fitting front axle (for $750) on my 2014 Toyota Sienna van which led to a complete failure of my transmission (at only 64k miles!!) as I was driving on the interstate AT NIGHT by myself!!! Luckily I was able to pull over safely to the shoulder where I waited for a tow truck....I did not have my vehicle for 2 WEEKS (I am a busy Mom of 3)!! Grassland Car Care did refund me the $750 for the INCORRECT PART they installed HOWEVER... I had to get a new proper axle (for another $750) installed as well as pay for a NEW TRANSMISSION ($2200 with warranty) which Grassland Car Care would NOT cover because they said I couldnt prove anything. As Toyota was installing my new transmission, they called & said there is an after-market non-Toyota front passenger axle that is on your van...it is too bulky, doesnt fit properly & is preventing the new transmission from being installed. We need to get you the correct axle installed so we can install your transmission. Toyota said to me it was likely this incorrect axle that caused the transmission to fail. I wanted to love this place because I live in Grassland & it is so convenient. But they have completely disappointed me, were very uncommunicative throughout (I had to call every day to let them know I wasnt going away) & cost me $2200 right before Christmas for a 2014 van that had NO ISSUES before I went to them. DO NOT GO TO GRASSLAND CAR CARE!!!

I can not say enough nice things about Grassland Auto. They went above and beyond to assist my boss and myself when they did not have too. Their customer service is some of the best I have encountered.I arrived to work earlier this week to discover my boss had ran over a nail of some sort and had a completely flat tire. We attempted to change it but had difficulty with the lug nuts. They would not come off. I wasn’t sure what to do, we don’t have AAA or Roadaide assistance, and I had driven by Grassland Auto many times so I gave them a call to see if they had any advice.Trevor answered the call and when I explained the situation, he didn’t hesitate to offer to help, even though it wasn’t something they typical did. He came right out with tools and a jack and the tire was changed within the hour! He was kind, courteous and helpful. He could have easily said “no” or been condescending, making me feel “stupid” but he did not! Excellent Work, Completely Satisfied !!!

I just used Grassland Car Care Center for the first time. It definitely won’t be the last either. I don’t know exactly how they compare on price, but it seemed reasonable to me. More importantly, I believe they are honest and won’t try to upsell or repair things that don’t need to be repaired. Their service was great and they do have loaners available if needed. Awesome job all around.

Don’t bother going here. They take your money but don’t actually solve the problem. They in fact, do NOT know how to reset tire sensors, even though they charged me for it ($75). They also couldn’t find the leak in my tire and told me there wasn’t one, even though there was. They also told me that my other tire pressure was over 100 PSI, which I know for fact was false. Girls, take your husbands with you because they will screw you over and gladly take your money while giving you back your same problem they were supposed to fix. Also, some lady had called me a couple weeks after my visit to see how the service was. I told her all my complaints, and she said the manager would contact me in the coming days. Do you think he ever called? Nope. Don’t waste your time. Walmart would have been a better option.Edit: Tim reaches out to me at the beginning of the month to make it right for the service I received. He said he would cut me a check for a full refund and he did. I appreciate it!

To say my expectations were met would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. The crew at Grassland Car Care Center EXCEEDED every aspect of my experience there. From their professionalism at the counter to their prompt responses to phone calls and questions, they never once dropped the ball. The customer service was genuine, they really do care about the service they provide as well as making sure the customer full understands every aspect of whats going on with their vehicle. Weve taken cars to Grassland Car Care for several years (probably 10) and theyve always been great. They never push, but will always help to advise whats needed terms of current and future repairs, and their work quality is excellent. Very honest and just good people. We most recently had to have some brake work done, but have had transmission work done as well as other things over the years. They also have loaner cars which is a help too. You really cant go wrong using them in my opinion.

I was visiting in the area when my Priuss warning lights all came on at once as I was driving. The dealership wanted to charge us $5300 to replace the hybrid battery along with other stuff--more than the car is worth. After getting it back home, it developed a new symptom, where it wouldnt accelerate after the engine got hot. A transmission shop said the transmission would probably need to be replaced, to the tune of $4700.I found Grassland Car Care on Google, and decided to see if they could give me a better diagnosis, since they have experience specifically with hybrids, which the transmission shop did not. I took it into Grassland the next weekday, and they got me diagnosed quickly, and said that it didnt look like Id need a new transmission, but just a new battery. While I found a battery cheaper somewhere else, I did have them help out with the rest of the repairs the car needed. They were fair and helpful during the whole process and didnt try to force me into repairs I didnt want or need.After getting the battery replaced, I havent had any issues with the car, even driving it on a 1000+ mile trip to get back home. The transmission shop was just wrong. Grassland Car Cares diagnosis saved me from buying a new car I didnt need. If I ever have any issues while Im in this area again, Im going here first. They also followed-up recently to see whether I was still having any issues with the car, which was appreciated. Great service and very nice people! Thank you so much!

I am not from Franklin and was in town visiting a friend. Unfortunately, my car broke down the day before I supposed to leave. I was recommended Grassland Car Care Center by a friend of a friend and I am extremely thankful I was. Everyone was super understanding about the time crunch I was on and how I really needed to get home. I was originally told that they would not be able to see my car until noon but my car was done before noon because he felt like it was the right thing to do to fix my car so I could go home. They told me all the information they knew upfront before I committed to anything to show their honesty and to prevent surprises. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation I was but instead did everything they could to help get me home as soon as possbile. You don’t see many mechanics like this anymore. Extremely helpful, reliable and genuine.

These guys do a great job at being personable and doing good work. I feel like they are looking out for me, rather than trying to sell me everything under the sun. Though they make recommendations of what my car needs, I never feel terribly pressured, and can easily walk away better educated, and with only what I absolutely need done at the moment. I definitely recommend giving them a try if you need some auto work done!

Roger, the president, was rude to my wife. She mentioned that it was hot in the waiting room, and apologetically said, It is because I am pregnant. Then Roger said, What, you are pregnant? I didnt notice? He said this sarcastically.Furthermore, last time I was there, I felt like I was just a $ sign to him. Sure, my car had some thing that needed work, but there is a way to bring up items that need work with a customer in a way that doesnt make you feel like all you care about is money. I didnt feel cared for.

Grassland is my go to for auto repair. The guys are professional and polite, and do their best to get your vehicle back to you quickly and easliy. If you live in the area, consider giving them a call next time your car needs some attention.

Had them work on my 89 Toyota pickup. $800 later I was done.I bought plugs distributor rotor and cap. Sold the truck, but my buddy who bought it had it looked at again. The #3 & #5 plug wires were swapped.They quoted me $1000 a full 8 hours to install a lift and shocks. I did it myself without a lift, proper knowledge, and a full gamut of tools in 4 hours...I would never recommend anyone go there.They acted like they were doing me a favor...Terrible!!!

I dont normally write up a review, but for Grassland Car Care I will be happy to do so. Friendly staff, didnt matter who I talked to either. Professional and personal service for the repairs that I needed, meaning I did not feel like I was at a Dealership getting the gauntlet of excuses why it is late or that it needs an additional amount of repairs. Though they do have the expertise for even the most out of the ordinary repairs that cars today can have. Will I be going back to them when the time comes for more repairs? Without a doubt. Straightforward, honest and courteous and have even provided complementary service for an engine that chronically burns oil and has some electrical issues (thanks GMC!). Theyve gone the extra mile for our cars and are always reliable. Ive seen all makes being serviced at their garage, from BMW/Mercedes to classic 1960s rides. Obviously a lot of people trust them with their cars in this area. My wife spoke to another customer recently who said they moved into the city but still bring their vehicles back because they are the only mechanics that they trust.

I feel like these guys are looking out for my best interest maintaining my cars.

On 3/28/18 I spent $1277.01, on 3/13/18 I spent $754.24, on 3/8/18 I spent $1307.46. These amounts = $3338.73 and yes that was on 1 vehicle. The vehicle broke down on me 3 times during this frustrating time period. The vehicle was a 96 dodge ram van worth 2k. I know I was stupid for spending that much on an old vehicle but I loved the vehicle. I also trusted the counter guys when they told me that the problem was fixed. I also have a story about a 94 Lexus but Ill let this one soak in for a while. Auto Pro of Franklin, Tn. fixed the van for $25.

They do good work at fair prices and are honest

Ben was pleasant to deal with. They installed tires I purchased online. My car was finished when I needed it and my wheels were cleaned as well. I was also provided a car to drive so I did not have to fool around with a getting a ride to work. Will return for future services.

Grassland Car Care did an outstanding job on my Fiat. They dont seem to be the easiest of cars to repair and they did a stellar job. Upon arrival, they listened to my concerns and came out to the vehicle with me and went through every issue I was having. On top of that, I was in need of a battery replacement and they sent me to the original shop that installed it to save me money, as it was still under warranty!!!!! If you have not been in since the change in management you must go. DO NOT let any passed experiences steer you away. They are organized, friendly and most of all efficient. They fixed everything that needed to be fixed, promptly. Even supplied a car for me while I was without mine.

If you need a good specialty Prius mechanic at an affordable price, this is the place to go. Last summer the hybrid battery in my 2006 Prius was on the fritz and I was desperate to avoid the local dealers because of how notoriously expensive and difficult they are. Thank goodness I found this place! They saved me thousands off what the dealer quoted, and gave me a 3 year unlimited mile warranty on the battery.This weekend (now in March), the same warning lights came on and I took it down to Grassland Car Care Center, and after diagnosing it they found that one of the many cells in the battery was reading a little low on power. Nevertheless, rather than just try the easy fix of replacing one cell, they contacted the battery manufacturer and got me a brand new one and installed it for free.I should also mention that they have an excellent courtesy car system, where if your vehicle needs repairs that cant be done quickly, they will freely offer you a loaner vehicle to help you get around town. All you have to do is pay for gas. Ive never found another car place to be so generous and honest with me. If only I lived closer to them I would definitely be coming in for more routine maintenance (although I am quite happy with my much closer current mechanics).

Was traveling by car for vacation and my car was not running well. Stopped in to Grassland and they were a life saver. Very friendly and knowledgable. If I lived near them they would be my regular mechanic.

Some folks do not realize that this is NOT a mom and pop shop with a grease-coated guy carrying a big wrench. It is a professional business and as such will charge slightly more than the fly by night places. Ive also been told that I needed things and when asked, have also been told it was not an emergency and could wait a few thousand miles. They back their work, start and finish and time and fix the problem(s). Thats about as much as anyone could ask.
