I brought my truck in to have my transmission and radiator repaired and could not be any happier with the customer service provided. Sergio did a courtesy 50 point inspection when I dropped off my truck and helped me with my transportation. As a long-time driver of older, “classic” autos, mostly European, I’ve experienced a lot of independent repair facilities. I’d put Rick and Ray’s up among the best. Far superior in service and customer care to your average independent shop, yet personable, courteous, and reasonably-priced, unlike most dealerships. Highest recommendation.

Very pleased with the repairs that were done. Only complaint I would have is the cost of the diagnostic fee, and I still had to pay the full diagnostic amount even though I had them do the repairs right away. I could understand paying the fee if I chose to not have the work done.

I just moved to the Fort Worth area, and they made it easy for me to decide where I’ll be taking my BMW for service. Andrew was wonderful! The five-point inspection and work they did on the water pump, and spark plug has my car running like new! We put the work to the biggest test driving from Fort Worth to Oklahoma city then to Houston over a week vacation. They did an amazing job much better than the dealership! Best repair shop I’ve ever dealt with. They explain every issue to you from the ground up. People who don’t know vehicles so should go here simply because of how they explain everything in basic terms to help you understand what is wrong with your car and what you’re paying for. Not many places like this.

Even though the part hadn’t come in on time, they called and communicated and did their best to make it right and get me rescheduled. The rest of the work on the truck was spot on. Really appreciated their honesty and empathy during the process and look forward to returning.

A good place to get your vehicle State inspection

Took my ‘17 Toyota Prius in here to have the wheel bearing checked. These guys found the issue and had a fair price to have it repaired. This is the only place I will bring my vehicle from now on. This business is much more honest and professional than the stealership. Thank you Andrew and techs!

I was recommended to Rick and Ray’s Auto Plaza through a Facebook Group. This is the second time we’ve taken our 2019 Ford Expedition Max there. The first was just a standard oil change and inspection. This second time, we needed another oil change, but I also lost my husband’s drivers license in the dash where there is a little gap between the radio and a little drawer. They took care of the oil change and let us know we needed new front struts, which they helped us with our warranty provider to get all parts ordered and schedule that service. They also opened up the dash to get the drivers license, no charge. The quality of service and just overall helping attitude make them my “go to” choice for all automotive needs.

The mechanic in charge went above and beyond to find me a great price to replace my brake light assembly! ill definitely come back and send my friends too! Honest, friendly and polite .

We took our new (used 2013) Winnebago/Mercedes Sprinter for a complete check up and servicing. I wanted an expert Mercedes Sprinter mechanic and wanted to identify any work our Winnebago would need to get it into top shape. Rick and Rays did a great job inspecting, diagnosing, and maintaining our Sprinter. Their recommendations and pro-active maintenance were complete, competent, and efficient. Ive think I have found my mechanic to help us have many years of happy adventures with our Motorhome.

Vehicle sat at their shop for almost a month without repairs being done after payment was made. Had to pick up the vehicle an parts Id already paid for and find another repair shop. Andrew was extremely rude and seemed like he just wanted to get as much money out of me as possible. I was then called back an told they forgot to give me several of the parts I had already paid for. No refund was given they just asked me to come in and they would put on the parts themselves. Waiting two hours for an air filter to be put in? I dont think so. Ive spoken to several of their other clients an this seems to be the norm for them. Not sure how they have such a high rating except that they must be paying for the good reviews. It was also extremely hard to understand the lady that answered the phone. Very broken English and rude as well. Seems like they dont want to do their jobs but get paid for doing nothing. Waste of time and energy. I will be making as many social media posts as possible about this place, to let others know not to spend their money there.

I can basically say these guys are great at what they do. They are very dedicated to finding the problem of the vehicle and will get the job done. I will most definitely use these guys again. I worked here for about 10 months in that time they contracted my personal business to do some 3d printing work for them to finish up a few cars they were having trouble finding parts for. After many of my own personal hours sent, they have shown they have no problem with theft of services and that they dont actually pay their employees. Sad really what seemed like a nice business is nothing but smoke an mirrors. Lies from the start to the finish. They attempted extort money from me for services that were not done and through my many months of working there they showed they would do this even to their own customers. So sad many such cases.

Came into Rick and Ray’s expecting to need a new battery and some additional work after the winter storm took a toll on my car. I was worried about what the overall total would be since I’m a student on a tight budget. Andrew talked me through all the recommended repairs and gave me a reasonable time frame to get the work done by. He did not push me to get anything done that day so decided to wait until the next oil change for the repairs. When I went to pick up my car, I expected to at least pay for their labor but since I had no work done but they said it was on the house. I was absolutely shocked and so grateful! I will definitely bring my car back into them anytime it needs work done. Very informative and communicative for maintenance issues.

We had done some 3d printing/manufacturing for this company on three separate occasions. Seeing as they had been in business for such a number of years we thought nothing of extending the olive branch to grow our business. 10 months later an they still havent paid for the three invoices/contract work they had requested. Sadly we are going to be taking the legal route and a massive social media campaign to show they do not take care of their customers an refuse to pay their employees and bills that they owe

I got the Free diagnostic test special on Tuesday, which almost turned into the $250.00 diagnostic test by Thursday. Not having that, had my car towed elsewhere. AAA approved Mechanic, really? Hmmm.

I’m late posting this. I would have to rate this company 2 stars the reason being that they’re handy work is great. But their customer service needs A LOT of work. I came in to have my vehicle looked to simply see what the problem was. In the end I payed a lot of money for something I couldn’t afford at the time. While I trusted them in the beginning I don’t anymore. I believed they were different but in the end now I treat all garage’s with a tight leash.

Went for my state inspection.But I can only give 3 stars because the guy who drove my car stained my steering wheel cover with grease, and made my car and like cigarette smoke.I also didnt have any conversation at all with the mechanic, only the front desk. Which some people may appreciate, but I wouldve rather the mechanic gave me at least a quick report of his inspection.

Rick and Rays is the best! The most trustworthy and excellent mechanics and staff. They treat their clients like family. My fluid flush, shocks/struts, and an issue I had with one of the doors were all repaired timely and for a reasonable price. They provided me with a rental car while they finished the repair. Picked up my car today and I am confident the work was done correctly, and I know my car is safe and well taken care of in their hands.

What a pleasure to do business with a company that values their customers and the safety of their vehicle. I wont say they are the least expensive shop in town but the are for sure not the most expensive. I brought my truck in one afternoon and was pleasantly surprised when the next morning they had an estimate in my email. On the list were things that were fine, some things that though not crucial could be fixed and things that needed immediate attention. They were very communicative, letting me know as things progressed. I would highly recommend this shop.

Normally I would leave a 5 star rating. However we asked to have a state inspection done as well as the front and rear breaks. I even called the day of the service to remind them of the state inspection and was told that it was on the ticket and was assured it would be taken care of. Was notified that the vehicle was ready. Made the payment and sent my daughter to pick up her car only to be told that they forgot to do the state inspection and bring it by tomorrow. The reason they couldn’t go ahead and do after the fact was the shop lost power, which I understand is not their fault. A little frustrating since I called to make certain the inspection was completed. Was also told my detailed receipt of the work was emailed to me. Have not received that yet as well. I will follow up tomorrow.Solution. Just double check the work order before calling the client to let them know their vehicle is ready. Thank you.

This place is great if you need a loaner car while they do repairs but the pricing and cost is expensive compared to other Auto mechanics. there new systems pricing is based on each individual task for labor and not what cost for actual repair. Did not resolve my issue the first time I took my vehicle in with water leak. So after the second time and too much money later they moderately fixed my vehicle and left me with more work to complete. For the price I paid for repairs I could have brought a new car with a good size down payment on it. Definitely not worth older vehicle repairs. Used excuse that all wheel drive vehicles are more expensive and new automated computer system with 53 point inspection is the best. Yeah but doesnt tell you what is necessary and what can wait. You will receive a call during what you thought was going to be a simple job, that they need to replace other parts for you vehicle. Was totally a bad experience. So now I still have items to fix on my vehicle...really not a Mechanics friendly place its all about the money for them.. would recommend them at all...

In 2009 I had my car towed and had just moved to Fort Worth. I asked the tow truck driver if he knew a good repair shop, and he smiled and said I know some really nice guys who will take good care of you. He brought me to Rick and Rays and Ive been going ever since. Theyre responsive, take the time to explain your options, and work with you to get things done in a timely manner. I wouldnt even consider going to another auto repair shop as long as Rick & Rays Auto Plaza is in business.

I took my BMW in this morning for a service light that had popped up. Apparently, BMW forgot to reset the brake mileage counter. In the process, however, the shop did a 50+ point inspection (at no cost) on my car while I was at work and took detailed pictures of everything they looked at. Gary from the shop then called and explained everything in detail and made some well thought out suggestions of things I may need to think about doing in the future as well as provided me with quotes. I had knots in my stomach about taking my car somewhere other than a BMW dealership, but these guys are legit and very fair on price. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This place is great. For a young woman that does not have a father around to help with vehicle mishaps and whatnot--anytime I would step into an auto service center, I would be riddled with anxiety. My first time there, the guys said that would treat my car as if it was their own daughters. I am not sure why, by that really stuck with me.To give you a real depiction of how honest they are, please read this recent interaction: I had a flat and when to the place closest(Not R&R) to where I was at that moment, they service guys walked in and told me that I needed new brakes, that mine were dangerous and they could do it that day...this happened to be only 2 months after I took my car to R&R for some cooling system issues. Rick and Rays is so outstanding that they always do a full diagnostic inspection when I have issues, so I called them frantic, thinking my brakes were bad and/or not safe. I spoke to Jaime and he took the time to talk to me about my last diagnostic, discuss how many miles I have driven since and assure me that there was no way my brakes needed to be done. And, honestly...that would have been an easy sell for them. Jaime could have easily lied and told me I was ready for new brakes to make the sale...but he didnt, he told me with my driving habits, I was fine until at least mid-summer.Even today, I had my oil changed and they probably could have sold me something major to my car...but the fact is that they are honest guys, and are not in the business of taking advantage of unknowing car owners. I always leave happy, I trust that if they tell me it is time for something, and they are the only ones allowed to work on my car.

I live in the San Antonio area. I broke down while traveling through Fort Worth. I feel the service as excellent, fair and reasonably priced. I left feeling I had received what I had paid for and the confidence the vehicle was properly repaired. The service writer kept be updated at all times and delivered what he promised. If you have family members needing service, feel confident they will meet your needs. I have four daughters. I feel I could send them to Rick and Rays and they would be treated fair and square.

I am taken good care of with professional responsibilities & team smiles, greetings & special care & considerations. I am thrilled to have a recommendation on Rick & Rays which I followed up on 3-5 years ago. I would not consider another company. I trust them both for their work ethics & any future recommendations on a body shop for dent repair.

My review is based on 3 factors:1. Location: Very difficult to get to given the proximity to the interstate. It is in an industrial area and there are no places to go while car is being serviced. They offer an Uber however if you dont live nearby this isnt an option.2. Waiting time: I found the waiting time to be excessive for an oil change and inspection. I was there for two hours. They insist on a complete digital inspection of the vehicle before they perform any service. While this is a nice feature for someone who babies their ride, its not great if you are just wanting to get the basics completed.3. Price: $55 for a basic oil change is at the top of the scale in my opinion. Before the work was performed I asked if this included an engine air filter and was told it did however when I looked at my work order after leaving, it wasnt replaced. Price-wise I could have done better at the dealer.Although the staff are very friendly and try to project a professional experience, I found that the overall value of this highly rated shop fell short of my expectations.

I have been using Rick and Rays for several years - they are always polite, knowledgeable, and responsive. When I receive my vehicle back from them, it is always repaired and I have never had to return my vehicle for incomplete work. I trust them and know they would not be dishonest in their dealing with customers. While they do provide the customer with a list of repairs that could be necessary, along with the particular concern you presented, they are always responsive to the question, yes, but what do I need now and what can I plan to get done later. They do not use scare tactics, just the facts. I also appreciate their waiting area, which is always clean and without others peoples selection of music blaring in the background, and their facilities are clean as well.

I was originally referred to Rick & Rays by a tow truck driver. He seemed very honest and I trusted him to direct me to a good auto repair establishment. Sure enough, Rick and raise did an amazing job on my Ford and the price was extremely reasonable. After that great experience, I started getting my car serviced there regularly- they even send out reminders. Recently, my brother gave me his Volvo. My first thought was, oh no, its a foreign car and Rick & Rays wont be able to service it! Not the case! The cars A/C was not working so I called and asked if they could service a Volvo, thinking if nothing else, they would refer me to an auto shop as trustworthy as theirs. To my delight, they said they could service the Volvo, no problem, and when did I want to bring it in? I said, today! After they looked over the problem, they knew it would be a couple of days to get the parts so they gave me a loaner car! I was thrilled because part of my fear was how Id get back and forth to work without my car. Jamie, one of the main service guys, gave me a list of things the car needed urgently, strongly suggested, and when you can- it was fantastic because I was able to work within my budget to get the urgent items repaired and wait on the others.The staff is friendly, honest, and most importantly they do excellent work for a very reasonable price! I ❤️ Rick and Rays!

These people are awesome! I brought in a cadilliac that I was wanting to sell and needed to see what all needed to be fixed on the car. In the end, I didn’t have any work done but they ran a diagnostic test and gave me a loaner car for the day free of charge. They informed that if I’m going to be purchasing a used car that it’s a good idea to have someone look it over, which is exactly what I had them do. They found a small problem with the new car that the dealership took care of because of Rick and Rays thorough inspection. I highly recommend them if you want honesty and a good job done at a fair price.

Rick and Rays is a refreshing change from most of the auto repair places Ive been. They were extremely helpful and professional. The work was finished promptly and they were able to recommend a way to cut my cost significantly by utilizing a state program that I wasnt even aware of. They may be a little out of my way in terms of distance but the quality of the overall experience more than outweighed the extra drive. The loaner car really was the icing on the cake. We found them by accident a few years ago. I needed a tire repair as I was headed out of town. The shop I originally went to mistakingly told me they could get me in over the phone but when they got there they said they wouldnt be able to get me in after all. They recommended I try Rick and Rays. They got me right and I headed out of town safely. We have continued to go there since then for all oil changes (Used to pay a lot more at the dealer and they were not trustworthy) and all our car repair needs. They are nice to us, nice to our kids. They thoroughly explain everything, are very understanding, and let us know what repairs are absolutely essential and what might be able to wait a few months or longer, non essential, etc. We love Rick and Rays.

Finally an honest place to have your car repaired. My faithful old 2002 Suburban needed work, ls of it. The total cost of the repair came back $300.00 under the original estimate.

Good as usual

I had an awful experience here and am actually shocked this place has so many great reviews. Bear with me as it might be lengthy...1. Got an oil change and tire rotation, they tried to charge $130 I commented how expensive that was, they knocked it down to $90 as if to say (it was worth a shot..)2. They tell me while doing the service they crushed the oil cap and since they didnt have one in stock they ordered it and Id have to come back. I can only take my car on Saturdays since I work 45 minutes away.3. Each Saturday for the next 5 weeks I attempted to get this done. 3 weeks of whoever answering the phones saying they knew nothing about it, then getting a call 5 minutes before they close and being told to try next week.4. After being called by them on week 4 I show up expecting to finally have it done and no one there knew about it so I was promised up and down that they would call me back when they figured it out5. I call them a week later because no one figured it out, another day goes by and the one decent person who seemed like he gave a half ass effort on this came to my home and tried to fix it only to find out it wasnt broken.I dont trust them and they wasted an obscene amount of my time. Ive moved my business elsewhere.

I am over-the-top impressed with this shop. They always get my car or truck back to me in a timely manner. They give an emailed 45 point inspection result with pictures, severity level, and suggestions to remedy the problem. Sergio always takes his time to explain things, this is always helpful. I recommend Rick and Rays to everyone!

Weve been using Auto Plaza for over 20 years. They have always been upfront with us about every detail about the cars problems, what it will take to fix it, and what it will cost. They wont do anything that doesnt need to be fixed. They are the best in town.
