I do not recommend coming here at all! They will lose your package 9 times out of ten. Lost over $1500 with this place. Very unorganized and unprofessional. Don’t waste your time and money.
The self machine is out of order all the time, they don’t have boxes, labels or Oder items outside like Cape Coral Usps. They know they are terrible and they don’t fix the service. If I could I would give them 0 stars
This post office is filled with some of the laziest carriers & careless management I have ever seen. No wonder the USPS wouldnt be able to stay open if WE THE PEOPLE were not funding it. Granted the counter clerks are very nice and helpful, this place is an absolute joke. They have lost several of our packages & even refused to deliver several packages from Amazon. We had a package once that was never delivered and they lied saying they handed it to a secretary when their own tracking scan shows they came at 6:43PM (hours after we are closed). We looked it up on our cameras and they came to deliver MAIL ONLY in the box at that time, but no package. Management has told us that if we didnt like the service they were providing to us that we could just come in and collect our mail daily. Missing packages, lying, refusing to deliver orders and habitually delivering mail after 6pm and sometimes as late as 7:00pm or 8:00pm are valid complaints for a business to have. Especially since it has been going on for years.
The only postal service that doesnt accept contactless payments (Google Pay.) Both UPS and FedEx accept it. This isnt difficult. -_-

I have a package that requires a signature. Missed the delivery on the 13th because the tracking info originally said the 15th. Okay fine. Schedule redelivery for the 14th. Home all day. Sitting on the couch right next to the front door all day. Go outside to find another missed delivery notice. Attempted delivery at 1:30 PM. While I was sitting right next to the door. Heard nothing. Didnt knock, didnt ring the doorbell. USPS is garbage. Tried calling customer service. Apparently this organization doesnt have a customer service department. Sad. I hope USPS goes out of business.
Absolutely horrible, if I could give 0 stars I would, they get my mailbox number wrong all the time, mis scan everything, and take 2 weeks to redeliver something that shouldnt have had a problem in the first place. This is the worst post office I have ever dealt with, everyone who works here needs to be fired and replaced.
I sent 2 boxes to my daughter and granddaughters in fort myers fl. They were supposed to arrive on Friday. Its now Sunday and my daughter hasnt received either box. I checked the tracking and it says both were delivered. Well if they were delivered tgey werent delivered to her. I spent 35.00 bucks to send them. And now my granddaughters wont be getting the presents I sent for them. Also it seems like this happens a lot at that post office. . Im really upset about this situation and I want it fixed. I will be calling the supervisor in the morning.
I have used this facility for years and have never had a bad experience re. staff. I cannot speak to home delivery, etc. but I have been happy at the site.
Had an absolute wasted-time run-around trying to 1) find my actual mail box in a cluster in my community. 2) figure out how to get a key (I had to change the lock!) 3) the post office and Post Master were not helpful and actually put me on hold and put the phone down and I could hear them carrying on about their business. I hung on for 18 minutes before I just hung up. Went in there, and received no help! The person you need to speak with is busy. 4) the postal carrier ignored my notes left on the cluster box once I found it.UPDATE: several months of writing not at this address, please return to sender on dozens of pieces of mail (never mind the sales pieces), I still received mail addressed to a dozen people. I only receive 2 actual letters a month for myself. I was traveling out of the country and returned home to find my mail service had been suspended and there was a note from the carrier Im sick and tired of cleaning out your mailbox. Cleaning out? isnt destroying mail an actual offense?
We own 3 parcels on Shawnee Rd. 33913 and the post office tells me they have no room in the community box. I had a key and a box but the postal delivery decided to give our box to someone else. I been trying to get this issue resolved for a couple of years. Now we are close to moving date and still no way of receiving mail. No one will call me back. I made several trips to the post office to talk to some one, and get pushed off that there is a special person that handles community mail boxes. No response. Who do I contact to make arrangements. We now purchased a box but I am not sure I need permission to put it up?Very frustrating!!!!!!

USPS has been handling my order twice now and both times Ive had issues. The first time I kept receiving slips saying I missed the mailman when Ive been working from home and absolutely no one came by my house. The 2nd time I received an email about my package being on my front porch when I havent received anything at all. Ive tried calling this USPS store multiple times with no answer and being hung up on while the phone was ringing. Ive also received other peoples mail including medication. The USPS office here is extremely unprofessional and I will avoid using them no matter what.

Over the past couple weeks, we have had customer payments get returned as undeliverable and there was an error with the address. All customers confirmed the correct address on their envelopes. We also had packages that were forwarded to a different delivery address with no other information given. Weve tried to contact someone to resolve issues, and theres only an automated machine that will not connect to anybody. USPS is disrupting our business cash flow and delivery of materials and there is no option given to resolve these issues.
Dont bother with carrier pickup, they dont pick up but they do scan they did pickup. WTH?

My sons moved and forwarded their mail. After a few months the post office decided to forward all the mail. Bills are late, my packages are who knows where, no one answers the phone and they emailed me that my ticket was “resolved”. No, it is NOT!
Terrible customer service! Nobody picks up the phone in the local store. The customer service hotline seems to like to avoid calls. They claimed my package did not have an addressee when it was transferred to them from UPS with a name and an address. They stated they returned it to the sender but sender said otherwise. Been 5 days and still don’t know where my package is. I just want to know if they are holding it so I can go and pick it up. A simple correspondence will do. -_-
This is a very busy post office.The people working here have all been very helpful. We rented a P.O. box here when we first moved here. Very convenient.I dont know why people rate this location poorly. I like it !
I’ve never met worse employees in my life. Had a change of address weeks ago and USPS mistakenly sent my package to my previous address and instead of sending it to the correct address, they proceeded to charge me for having to pick it up from their location. Tall lady with black short spiky hair straight out of a horror movie and some long haired tattooed emo boy. The two worst employees I’ve ever had to deal with. I’d give it Zero Stars if I had the option.
USPS service is horrible. Packages that are supposed to be delivered to your door from Amazon remain for you pick them up at the Post Office with a note in your Amazon Mail ATTEMPTED DELIVERY instead of actually delivering them. They listed delivery for 2 days to be Deliverery Today by 9pm. I waited home for 2 full days and no one showed at my door. My tracking messaged me later after post office is closed and said they attempted delivery but no one came and my security cameras prove it. Amazon pays them to deliver to your door and schedules time for you to receive it so youll be there to sign. USPS never even bothers to come to your home they just leave a note on your Amazon tracking to pick it up yourself. I have advised Amazon to ban deliveries to my address from USPS. If I wanted to go pick up products I would not need to order them online I would just go shopping. Advise shippers not to send USPS if you dont want to have to go pick up your deliveries and wait on lines especially during a pandemic.

I purchased a PO box yesterday afternoon online. Went to the post office to get my po box key and my address here in FT Myers. I was told they cant see my account I had created. They had no problem taking my money. Then they ask for ridiculous stuff to get the box, not disclosed online. They dont know how to do business. No wonder they are bankrupt.
Incompetent and careless mail carriers “misplaced” my package and sent it further north delaying it by TWO MORE DAYS. You people need to learn how to do your job properly! I should not have to put up with your mistakes. I paid my dues, DO YOUR JOB!!!!!!!! That’s what you’re paid for.

Terrible. A hot mess in spite of the counter staff’s efforts. The mail delivery especially, registered packages is totally unsatisfactory. Delivery attempts are not Even made. This, is the norm. We live in the Information Age. I get e mail notifications that a package is out for delivery and wait at home, only to find a failed attempt notice in the mailbox just inside the gate. I have a Ring doorbell. So, everybody that appears at my door gets video’d. No attempt was ever made. Reaching The postmaster is an exercise in futility. The local phone number is a secret. An employee at another post office gave me the number, nobody answers. UPS and FedEx run like Swiss watches. This is an epic fail..obviously condoned by mgmt.
I wish I could give these ladies a higher rating than listed. Here was my situation. I had a last minute emergency situation regarding a 24 hour passport for my daughter. These two sweet ladies went out of their way to help us, even though they did not have to. They were rightly able to turn us away because I did not have an appointment. But instead they went above an beyond the call of duty and I want everyone to know my gratefulness for their help and customer service!! They both deserve to be recognized for this type of service. I am a veteran and havent seen customer service like this in a while and can never repay them back for their help in our situation. I cant remember their names (a register lady and passport lady), but they made me and my daughters day!! Thank you guys so much for your help! I wish more businesses had customer service like this!
Feel like a lot of negative reviewers do NOT realize the size of this local office is small and not overly staffed; however, they do get busy. Ive had very pleasant experiences regarding going into the USPS at this location. They have been kind, helpful and informative.Most recently, I had to send a package north to my family member, and I was going to buy a bubble envelope that was too big. At the counter, the associate pointed out I could save shipping with theirs and my package fit perfectly. I was so happy I could get the insurance (included in the package price) and that my package had a tracking number.My advice: IF possible, go to the location instead of calling/waoting on hold.
Repeated issues with mail forwarding. I turned in my forwarding request in person 2 weeks before the start date, as directed by a local supervisor after a previous issue. We had our neighbor check the box after we left and mail is still being delivered, including a confirmation of the change of address! I will not be returning home for several months and it is impossible to contact them by phone.One of the things that will be impacted is my vote by mail ballot!
I went in today, and the service was alright. The guy who helped me was pretty reasonable, and they had a lot going on, so.. eh. Theyre doing their best with what they have. My only thing is like... does the phone exist in the building? Do they actually have a phone? If they do, I dont believe it. Because I tried to call like, 5 times before I went in. No answer. No voicemail. Nothing. And then I read all these other reviews saying the same thing. Like... this is a government office, not a burger king or something. You guys may want to consider getting an operator. Or a phone in general.
Worst postal service ever. I had a package that said delivered but never got it, then when I called I just got automated recordings with no option that helps me resolve this problem. So I contact the sender to send another package and they sent it again through usps and I already had no trust that it would get to me. Tracked package again and surprise surprise !!! Said delivered but no package. Either the incompetent mail person is stealing my package or is failing at putting mail in the correct mailbox (not that hard since I get my mail every freaking day!!!) never getting anything shipped through you people again.

Yesterday waited for package and never received it from carrier. Delivered it to another address perhaps and now am wondering where my package is.
I had a great experience. I went there at 12:40 this last Friday with a packaged that I needed to mail to family. There were people there filling out shipping labels but no one in line there were 3 people working the desk. I got help right away. My package was already addressed. The woman there gave me my shipping options. I pick the normal shipping with tracking and normal $50 insurance, that was standard I didnt have to pay extra. She typed the information in gave me a receipt, and showed me the tracking number told be it should arrive my Monday. It arrived today, Monday, at 11:16 am. Could not have gone smoother.
Way out or the way and terrible service. Lost my mail and offer nothing but lies when asked for help. Avoid this location if you are looking for good customer experience, the only thing they will guarantee is a long wait in line broken drop box and a head ache 😖... run 🏃♀️ for the hills.. sad but true; perhaps they should be operating in the 1800s or in a third world status country instead of up and coming Sunny 😎 Florida.. get a clue management.
Never answer the frigging phone. Absolutely terrible. I finally got to speak to somebody 3 times after trying for over a week. Each time I gave them my tracking number for my package is still held up at the post office each time there to call me back and they never did. Its now been two weeks since my package has been sitting at the post office and no one ever called me back even when I told them it was important for it was medicine.
This post office isnt as bad as many of the local offices. Yet I still give it one star. If that is any indication of how I truly feel about this entire network. I honestly see why the post office is ready to go bankrupt. And frankly, I cant wait either. This particular branch never answers the phone. I have kept calling and calling and calling and calling. No answer. As well, ever since I moved into this jurisdiction, I have had many packages and pieces of mail go missing. Terrible place. If I had a way of never using USPS again I wouldnt look back.

I mailed a client in Fort Meyers a package of 80$ worth of media. It arrived to her with all seven tapes missing. And heavily damaged packaging. Only getting the Lil bonus items.Those bracelets arent worth 80$I live in Milwaukee..Im absolutely angered.How dare they do such a thingI run a god damn business.Im calling them tomorrow for some damn answers.The tampering with a pre approved package from the US itself sounds highly illegal.My client better get her damn tapes.

Called to get information on what was needed to get my passport. Phone would ring and ring, then hang up. This went on for almost 45 minutes until I finally got a hold of someone. The person who answered was NOT friendly and seemed agitated or like I was bothering them. Came in a week later for my passport and the lady that helped me was so awesome and friendly! However she failed to tell me that being a first time passport applicant they would take my birth certificate and send it back. So now Im stuck waiting on my passport and birth certificate so I can get a new drivers license. Looks like I cant drive for another FOUR weeks. I had no idea they would not give me my birth certificate back and figured it was mixed in with all the paper work that was given. I tried calling the post office for answers and was told they dont take birth certificates and would look to see if I accidentally left it there? What the heck?! And so I ordered a new birth certificate online that I now have to cancel because apparently I should be getting mine back in the mail. NOT HAPPY.

Went in to mail a phone at 5:20 on a Friday afternoon. Despite it being 10 minutes before closing before a weekend the lady who helped me was very nice and accommodating. I had plenty of issues at the post office before like everyone else Id imagine but I also give credit where credit is due.
Post office staff very helpful. Delivery appalling. In our neighborhood items are mis-delivered every day. Mail carriers should be able to read, I think. Packages are consistently lost. We dont use for outbound, but many vendors use them to ship stuff.
Would do 0 stars if I could. I have literally called 80+ times in 3 days to schedule a passport visit. I now need to reschedule and have spent last 3 days yet again calling nearly 80+ times. At one point I put phone down and let it ring for 3 straight minutes, Ive tried calling every 15 minutes all day long. NO ONE ANSWERS! I simply do not understand how they can not answer a phone. They should not be allowed to do passport service if they cant answer the phone to schedule or help people.

I would like to thank the post office for not properly forwarding and sending my mail I had unknowingly received a toll violation. My change of address was filled out May 3rd my notification from the toll agency was sent out on May 3rd my mail was never delivered to my new address in Tampa Kama which resulted in a $233.19 sea and my drivers license possibly being suspended which could have led to me losing my job thanks to someones neglect.. today I spent over 4 hours on the phone contacting different people to get a final outcome that being there was no tracking number from the toll facility that there is nothing that they can do after calling the toll facility they responded that due to Florida State statues they are not required to send out bulk mail with tracking and the United States Post Office will say anything they want so it does not seem like that is their fault
My package said it was delivered and it wasnt i need to find who i can speak with about this situation. Paid my money will like my package

After reading the negative reviews it is obvious everyone complaining has no ideal how the post office works. You have no ideal of how many people waste the time of the supervisors and clerks and carriers about things that are the senders fault or even the absolute ignorance of the public. You get a free service of delivery. The sender is paying for the delivery. And as far as carriers being lazy, no access could mean a dog id roaming and they should never get out when there is a possability of them getting harmed. If you order something and cant wait then take yourself to the store and buy it

The post office gets a bad wrap. I really like this post office. It is sometimes hard to park. That is the reason for the four stars. Its a one lane parking lot so one person waiting for a spot can clog up the lanes.I love that the post office boxes are open 24 hours are day. I like to sometimes check my mail at 8 pm on a Sunday. I know I am weird. It is comforting to know that they are open. The workers are friendly and can help the best they canOne time I prepaid shipping for an item I sold on Ebay. I was weary about the estimated weight. When I got to the post office I was off by more than a pound. I went to the postal worker and asked what I could do. I know they are not supposed to do anything with the Ebay prepaid but they allowed me to buy the extra pound.I think that is all I can say about the post office...

Who ever is running this place should be fired. Waste of tax dollars. Maybe if the employees pulled their heads out of their asses they would be able to get your mail delivered in less then 15 days from within the state of Florida. God only knows how long it would take from out of state. All I can say is dont ever have mail forwarded if you want your mail in a normal timely manner. I would be embarrassed to say I worked there. But then again, anyone working there has no self pride to allow the reputation of Fort Meyers facility to be the worse of the worse. What a shame.
There is an person attending upfront whose name is David, he has blondish hair and he is the worst person to attend you. He ignored me even though I was in front of the line. Instead of asking me if I was attended already, he asks the person BEHIND me what that person needs. Horrible customer service by David.
The supervisor for the mail carrier disregards the the concerns an complains for other. He did not resolve nor understand my fustrations i have with my carrier..
I currently work with a company who deals with shipping and the USPS around the country. I have to say that this post office is the worst place i have had to deal with. I have currently called them 5 times before the phone was picked up and put immediately on hold with out any chance to respond. I right now have been on hold for over 5 min and no one has picked up the phone. I will continue to call over and over until i speak with Cory the Supervisor for the area i need. I am sorry to anyone who has to deal with this location on a daily basis. I would never use USPS through this area if you can avoid it do it.---- terrible customer service and terrible people that work there.
Impossible to call and get any response from the Fort Myers, Post Office. Terrible service. Its a shame that our government cannot provide better service for businesses in the area. We had a problem with someone making a purchase on line and mailing it to this fraudulent person and cannot get the post office to do a mail recall. So now we are not only out the product we sent but the money for the product as well.Privatising the Postal service in this country is what needs to happen.Obviously there is too much for the post office to handle. Cannot even get someone to answer the phone.
Yikes! You know that sad guy in The Office that just needs help finding his stapler? Well that was me today, trying to find an envelope. Only when I got there there was no one else there except for four staff members. Somehow there wound up being at least 15 people come and go before I was ever helped. At one point one of the staff member did Point me back to the corner that I came from that I couldnt find the envelopes in in the first place. #nothelpful #haveyouseenmyenvelope?
Ive called seven times, and no one has even picked up a phone. Pretty sad when people just wanna get something they paid for. I filed a complaint with corporate, pretty sure that wont do anything.
A package was out for delivery to us and then it was never seen again. They have no record of attempting to deliver or any idea what happened to it. Here is what you can look forward to if this ever happens to you - If you are lucky enough to call during the one hour a day they actually answer the phone, you will be placed on hold, shuffled around, and then told to come into the office. When you go into the office, you will be made promises that they will talk to the driver and contact you that day or the next. A week later after calling back everyday and talking to 5 different people and leaving many messages and receiving many promises of a call back, you will call again and someone will finally tell you that they lost the package and you should file a claim. Once you file a claim, two months later you will receive an email saying that you gave insufficient information and they cannot try to locate the package until you provide said non-existent information...even though they already told you they lost the package. This place needs serious help.

I have had multiple issues with this carrier and location. They dont pick up the phone, and they dont correctly sort mail. I get other peoples mail all the time, and Ive had multiple packages that were supposed to be delivered by USPS marked as could not find address- but Ive had no problem with other carriers!I dislike bashing places in reviews, but the Fort Myers USPS location for 33913 is truly atrocious. Avoid at all costs.
Ive been trying to contact the post office for the last two days. It is impossible to get them on the phone. Calling at 10 oclock in the morning and saying I have to wait an hour on hold. I called yesterday and it was a 30 minute hold it said but ended up being an hour my phone died just from trying to contact someone. I guess I will have to take a drive to the post office personally just to make my claim. Ridiculous!
I needed to call them in regards to an important package I sent out - called numerous times and it just rang and rang - no one there would pick up the phone. If this were a private company someone would be fired or they would be out of business. Public employees are not accountable to anyone - disgusting
This has to be the worst post office Ive ever dealt with.Ever since I moved about one year ago and switched to this post office, five different packages of mine were mis-delivered and lost, but becuase the status of my delivery shows that it was left at my front door, the supervisors say that they will not reimburse me or do anything about the mailman. Also they never answer the phone, so good luck trying to address the issue that way.If I could switch Post Offices I would in a heartbeat. I never had five packages lost within a years time frame. I dont even want to know what else has gone missing.Be very careful dealing with this post office.

A complete and utter shitshow. I paid extra to have a package delivered Sunday thru amazon at my job. I received a notice from amazon that USPS attempted to deliver but the business was closed and theirfore could not. Complete BS. I have been here since 9am and the store has remained open. The delivery attempt claimed 3:29pm which was a lie. There was no carrier out this way. They also claim a notice was left which there was NOTHING. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with you all FAILING to do your job. Then make complete lies because you want to be lazy.

So you already know that they dont answer their phones in Ft. Myers. Called 3 different locations and the phone rings 10 times than goes dead. Called the 800 number and 45 min - 60 min wait to speak to an agent. When is Trump going to privatize this outdated, useless service.
If I could give 0 stars I would.....This is the worst post office I have ever been to. They do not answer the phone. I am trying to get in touch with someone and have called 8 times in a row and the phone just rings and then cuts off. Our mail is constantly delivered to the wrong PO Box and we constantly get mail belonging to other peoples PO Box. Mail that gets dropped off at that location seems to get misplaced or never gets to the destination quite frequently. When calling the 800 number they refer you to the location itself. Its no wonder more people are using other methods for shipping and other locations for their mail delivery.
Terrible customer service in the location and you cant reach anyone over the phone ever. Also, the 800 customer service number is also a joke! I will go out of my way from now on to use UPS or FEDEX and will for no reason order anything, buy supplies, or ship anything with them again. It sucks that we even have to use them for our regular mail at this point. TERRIBLE!
