My wife and I took a 4 hour cruise with Captain Charlie and had an awesome experience. It was great being able to each take a turn at the helm; sailing in the Atlantic Ocean was a great way to spend the afternoon. Highly recommend and will definitely look forward to doing a longer cruise with more family members in the future.

Sailing with Captain Charlie was a fantastic experience! We brought our 4 kids on the boat who had never seen the ocean from that perspectivebefore! He was patient, friendly and entertained my kids (one with autism) the whole time. He let them sail the boat and explained how to sail!Charlie communicated well with me about the trip ahead of time to make sure everything went smoothly. We spotted a pod of dolphins and enjoyed his tour of multi-million dollar houses along Ft. Lauderdale! I would recommend a boat tour with Captain Charlie! Good time with Captain Charlie! My family had a nice sail through the canals and eventually out to the ocean and back. This guy has to be the most knowledgeable captain in the area and you can basically choose what to do with him (weather permitting). We sailed up to The Hillsborough inlet then came about and sailed back to Port Everglades. We watched the sunset in Lake Sylvia. The captain kept us entertained with his stories. But be nice to avoid being keel-hauled.

Captain Charlie was great! Even though our sailing trip was delayed by the weather, he found a way to make our time aboard the Daffy fun and memorable! We will definitely be back for another sailing lesson.

We had a great time sailing with Captain Charlie. We had a 4 hours sail that started from his home so we got a two hours of sailing the canals (out and back)of Fort Lauderdale and two hours of Ocean sailing where Charlie let us drive the boat. Having the boat all to ourselves was great! We saw a sea turtle and the on our way back in we saw dolphins in the intercoastal waterway. Charlie stopped and let us observe them. All in a great day.

This was the best Valentine’s gift I have ever given!!! First of all, you get the best Captain. He enjoys sailing so much and you can see the passion he has. Happily would have paid double for the safest, smartest, and most charismatic captain out there. The Daffy is an amazing vessel, and Is kept immaculate. We’ve been back for 3 trips total, and every one has been amazing. The captain is as interactive or laid back as the charter guests request. Pro tip: he loves sweets, a fresh cookie unlocked and even more VIP experience.

I’ve taken my parents on the Sailing Daffy twice now, and both times have been an absolute blast! Captain Charlie Knupp is super entertaining and his boat (the Daffy) is awesome! He is located on the New River and docks his boat behind his house- it’s a little hard to find at first (follow the directions he texts you!) but once you do, youre in for an awesome day. You can’t get this kind of personalized experience from a big tour company. You won’t be disappointed and it’s worth every penny. Thanks Charlie, can’t wait for the next adventure!

Our family went yesterday on Captain Charley’s boat, Daffy. We had a wonderful time! He was great with our kids, his boat was very clean, and he was very fun to be with! I highly recommend him!

Captain Charlie is both an excellent host and an excellent sailor. He shared his knowledge of everything from the sailboat to all the buildings we passed. Most of all, he set me up for the perfect location for my proposal during sunset. I would suggest the afternoon time slot; the night lights of the city as we came back were amazing. I could not recommend this charter more!!

Captain Charlie is a character, to say the least! Our Uber got a little lost but Charlie was so kind about the fact that we were a few minutes late. We quickly got settled on the boat, learned Charlie’s rules (all in place to keep us safe) and we set sail! The weather didn’t cooperate with us so we weren’t able to sail the open water but Charlie more than made up for it with a relaxing ride filled with so many facts about the area. He clearly has years of experience and I felt totally safe in his charge. We had the best day with this gruff TEDDY BEAR (although, he probably won’t admit to the teddy bear part but he truly is!!) I feel like I made a friend and would love to take a cruise with him again next time I’m in town. Way to go Captain Charlie!

Where to begin? From the moment we stepped onto the dock we started having fun!! Capt Charlie is a hoot and a half! We all had on custom made “sailing the Daffy with Daphne” tshirts on, as our friends name is Daphne! After a short safety briefing, you get under way and motor out to the open ocean. Once we caught enough wind, Capt Charlie turned the motor off and all you could hear was the ocean. Just the ocean waves crashing against the boat. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. You each get a chance to steer the boat if you choose to, and then we were all able to enjoy the lunch that we brought with us. We sailed for awhile and then turned around and headed back in. What an absolutely wonderful day. We couldn’t have had any better of a day and we certainly look forward to going back out with Capt Charlie! This adventure is for people who have zero experience on the ocean up to skilled boaters/boat owners, and you can be as involved as you’d like to be with helping out on the sailboat or totally laid back and just along for the ride! No experience is needed!! Just enjoy yourself! And our group of four, did exactly that!! We loved every second of it ⛵️ So, whether you live here locally or you’re in town on vacation, and you’re searching for something SUPER fun to do, do not hesitate on this one! We just sailed on the DAFFY with Captain Charlie (4 adults and 2 kids) and had a fantastic time! Captain Charlie is very flexible and will cater trip to everyones interest. We attempted to go out into the ocean, but when it got a bit too choppy for some of our party, he immediately turned around and substituted a new itinerary around the intercoastal which was amazing! Captain Charlie made us all feel safe with his knowledge and skills on a sailboat. Highly recommend, hes a great Captain and makes the trip really fun. Would definitely go again!

My friends and I came to Ft. Lauderdale for my bachelorette weekend. We booked with Charlie for a 4ish hour sail on a Sunday. He was so funny and witty right off the bat, so we had an awesome time with him. We were able to drink some mimosas and listen to music, sit wherever on the boat, it was a great experience. If you havent been on the ocean in a boat before, I would recommend taking Dramamine or the equivalent the night before you plan to go out and then again in the morning. Most of us got a little nauseous when we hit the ocean, but it subsided after we adjusted. Charlie took us to a wading area for us to get out of the boat and swim, he has floaties to hold onto that are attached to the boat. Charlie was the life of the party, super safe, and would love to sail with him again whenever we are back in Ft. Lauderdale! Highly recommend if youre looking for a good time!
