As much as I love my old piano, theres a lot of things that have broken over the years (shes 96 and lives with cats) and Jim has fixed every single thing on it! He is incredible!Hes a rare breed when it comes to piano tuners, he is personable, and is always willing to explain what hes doing and why hes doing it, in a way that even the most musically inept can understand. And he loves my cats, almost as much as they love him!! Jim is a joy to work with, and I hope he will be servicing my piano for years to come!

We moved from Chicago to Fort Collins last summer and had to find a new piano technician. My Yamaha baby grand is my prized possession, an anniversary gift from my husband. We are both musicians and didnt want to trust our baby to just any piano tuner. I found Jim based on the Yelp reviews here, and was so happy when he was able to find time to fit us in.Jim is knowledgeable, efficient, intelligent and just a really nice person to be around. We are delighted that he is taking care of our Yamie. We posted this review on Yelp as well as here on Google.The first thing we did was discuss a humidification system, as it is quite a bit dryer out here than back in Chicago. Jim helped us do an analysis of our rental home and its specific humidity circumstances. He did think it would be a good idea, but he didnt try to hard sell us on anything. We decided to install one to protect the sound board, and Jim has been servicing it and tuning the piano for a year.Our Yamie sounds fabulous, and we couldnt be happier with Jim and his high level of service. Hes very busy and is not accepting new clients right now, so were very happy he had time for us! Thank you, Jim!

While Jim has been the only one to tune my piano, I feel comfortable in my assessment, having of course dealt with so many other service people (auto mechanics, plumbers, roofers, handymen, etc., etc., etc.) in my life.Jim has been tuning my piano for several years and Ive been very happy with all aspects of his service. When I first aquired my piano, Jim took care of getting it into shape. It needed some strings, because they were a little old, and some were breaking during tuning. Turns out it was built around 1890. He kindly offered me the piano inspection price if I didnt want to carry on. But I asked him to keep going and just replace what was needed. In the last several years, Jim has tuned up my piano a few more times, and also made sure that the inner workings are operating properly. He is a very nice guy, very up front about what hes doing, and has a wealth of knowledge to share.

Jim did a wonderful job of tuning my new-to-me piano, and I will certainly call on him in the future. I learned a lot about my piano, and he answered all my questions about this 65-year-old Everett spinet. I have a good idea now of some relatively inexpensive tweaks I might want to have done in the future that arent necessary right now. At the end of his tuning, it was such a treat to hear Jim play. It My dog liked him, too!

Jim recently tuned our 90 year old Steinway Model M Grand and repaired our Dampp-Chaser piano humidifier which had broken. He is a very competent and pleasant piano technician and we highly recommend him. We will definitely call him again for our next piano adjustment.

I have a 9 month old grand piano and I had 2 terrible experiences from the tuners the store sent. The first one couldnt hear the buzzing issue Ive been having on one particular note and the other one they sent decided to brighten my lower register notes without permission which made the piano sound like a toy piano abruptly from low A. I was a piano major my first 2 years of college so I am very particular about the tone of my piano (some would say neurotic). And I was freaking out that this new piano that was supposed to be my dream grand piano wasnt going to ever stop giving me problems. I emailed Jim after reading all the rave reviews on Google and he got back to me immediately. We made an appointment for him to come today. He had this calming presence and knew exactly what the issues I was experiencing. He was extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented. He spent close to 3 hrs reversing the toy piano effect, fixing the buzzing sound and tuned my piano. I have a perfect pitch and the piano sounds awesome now. I dont want to stop playing.
