I’m from out of state and when I was back home when something went wrong with my car my dad would just fix it for me. With being 13 hours out of state I needed to find someone trustworthy to bring our vehicles to. After doing a little research we found this place and we’re so happy we did! I love that they take photos so you can see for yourself what’s going on. Clearly I’m not a car person, but they take the time to explain everything and what they would do if it was their vehicle. It is super hard to find an auto repair place when you move out of state. I come from a long line of car enthusiasts and it was nerve wrecking to try and find an auto shop I was willing to trust with my car and to pay for their services with no recommendations in the area. Scotts Auto had great reviews when I did my research. Upon calling them I was greatly surprised to be offered complimentary pick up and drop off immediately and I was contacted by several technicians regarding my issues and the services I was going to need to get my car into shape. In addition I was able to fact check what Scotts Auto was telling me needed work with my Dad, a lifelong car mechanic and auto shop owner himself. Not only did he agree with everything Scotts has suggested working on on my car, he also found their prices very reasonable. They do a fantastic job of inspecting everything and providing you with a report with actual photographs. I was even able to send the report to my Dad, he felt like he was here making sure my car was safe and up to par too. It am super grateful I found Scotts Auto, takes the stress out of any of my car repair needs. Their staff is super accommodating and friendly and eager to make the process as easy and pain free as possible. And now they have a points system, nothing gets better than cheaper future car repairs.

I brought my car to Scotts for its initial servicing and oil change, and I was super impressed from start to finish. Making an appointment was a breeze — they were flexible about timing and upfront about estimated cost. On the day of the appointment, David was my rep, and he was professional, kind, and patient with my questions as someone who knows nothing about cars. They provided me with a free shuttle ride home and offered to pick me up when the car was ready. They were super busy, but I asked if they could have the car ready by 2pm and I got a call at 12:30 saying it was done. They provided me with the most detailed report Ive ever seen, including photos, and the final cost was actually less than the original phone quote. Plus, when I went to pick up my car, I brought my dog, and they had treats ready for her when we arrived. I will definitely be going back to Scotts for all of my auto needs, and I encourage you to do the same!

We have used Scotts for repairs several times. Today, they earned a review. We had our brakes done about 3 months ago, but the car has been sitting. Turns out the parking brake wasnt holding like it did before, they adjusted it for free and its good to go. Everyone is awesome, and David thank you!

I love the report (with pictures!) they prepared when doing my oil change and tune up. Realistic assessment of which procedures were needed immediately and which could wait a while. And I appreciate being able to keep the detailed report in my records.

Ive been going to Scotts for years for routine oil changes and recommended maintenance. They are always very professional and explain everything that is recommended well. Although they dont have much of a waiting room anymore and oil changes are done drop off style now, the courtesy shuttle is convenient and the drivers are always nice. I definitely recommend this place!

Excellent experience! Love the tech they use to send a full diagnosis of what needs to get done with the vehicle. Clearly states what NEEDS to get done, and what are suggestions. Great staff that is knowledgable and will clearly answer questions you have.

Scott’s was impressive, I don’t know how this isn’t the standard in the auto care business. How is it 2021 and Scott’s is the first place I have ever seen that sends you a digital report with photos of your vehicle. Not only that but they kept me updated and even gave me a loaner car while my car was in the shop! Scott’s also has like a virtual garage/profile you can see what work has been done with their warranties (I believe it’s 5yr locally and 3 nationwide) as well as points you have earned with their business for future discounting. The staff was awesome as well. Dealing with Mike and Brendan was always pleasant. I could never go back to using other shops after Scott’s.

My check engine light came on and I did the easiest solution. Everything was well until the light came back on, this time, after a recommendation I took my vehicle to Scott’s Fort Collins Auto. I received a phone call and after talking with David, they worked on the issue on my vehicle. Long story short, there was a slight issue with the coding system not resetting. David reassured me that the system would reset, he informed me to come in and Alex would run a diagnostic check. After a few trips back to the shop, David not only was he patient with me, but he was also extremely professional and honest. Not only did my vehicle pass emissions inspection but I noticed improved gas mileage. I would highly recommend Scott’s Fort Collins Auto. Thank you, David, and Alex, for everything!

I’m only giving Scott’s 5 stars because they won’t let me give them 10. These guys should teach a master class in customer serviceWe were 800 miles from home and our Jeep had us in a pickle. I called Scott’s and David said they were busy but bring it over and they would work it in. David and Mike greeted us warmly and took care of us throughout the process. It wasn’t easy (I think 4 or 5 mechanics were elbow deep in the repair at one point and we had to order parts twice) but before closing time came, we were back on the road to the mountains.I only have one problem now: Do I try to get Scott to open a shop in Missouri and convince David and Mike to move there, or do I just shuttle my vehicles to Colorado when they need repairs?Best automotive repair experience I’ve ever had. I worked with a gentleman named David and he made the process of fixing my vehicle extremely easy. He offered me a vehicle to use while mine was in the shop or to use their shuttle service. He showed me what precisely was wrong with my car, what it would take to fix it, and showed me the fix after it was completed. He also shopped around other shops to ensure that I got the lowest price for my specific repair. He and his team went above and beyond and I will absolutely go there for any future needs. Super friendly all the way around! When they check in your car, they do a very thorough current status diagnosis of your car from lights to engine components. They also rate concerns from critical to up and coming to passes with photos of all things in the critical area which makes discussing work that needs to be done easier. Their customer service is also top notch between courtesy shuttle and possibility of a loaner car if they need to keep yours overnigh. I absolutely loved my experience!!

Took my recently purchased car to Scotts for a pre-purchase inspection. (I had a 7 day return window). I worked directly with Travis who is amazing! Scheduling was easy and they completed the inspection within the time frame they indicated. During the inspection they found issues with the car. They even sent me a report of the issues and pictures. Fortunately, I have a short term warranty provided by the seller. Travis contacted them directly and was able to get all issues, including the pre-purchase inspection paid for.They were able to get my car in the next week to have all the issues corrected and even when they found out one of the issues was bigger than initially thought, Travis was able to work with the warranty company to the new issues covered at 100%. Travis is a gem, Scotts is lucky to have him. Will definitely be bringing my other vehicles here for service in the future.

Ive used several different independent repair shops in the past and am very glad to have Travis at Scotts Fort Collins Auto! Their inspection reports are thorough (and include pictures so you know how bad your air filter looks or if you have an oil leak thats not quite hitting the ground yet) and they make sure to explain any repairs or maintenance needed.

After doing a bunch of research of where to take my car in Fort Collins, Scotts Auto was what we decided on, this being my first experience dealing with auto shops myself. I am SO THANKFUL we chose them, they spent diligent time figuring out what was wrong with my car, had fantastic and timely communication and kept me updated throughout the process. Travis was incredibly helpful explaining to me what was wrong and why it needed to be fixed and communicating about the timeliness of the process. He also was super engaged with the services that needed to be done. The part my car needed was not easily accessible but instead of turning me away they spent time trying to figure out where they could order it and got it ordered fast! I am so grateful for the work they did on my Lexus, its driving good as new!

My family has had a lot of work done on both of our cars with Scotts, and Ive been really impressed. The work is high quality, communication is excellent, and the loaner car system is wonderful! Im pregnant with a 2 year old, and they went above and beyond to deliver the loaner car to my house. Also, as a female, its nice to work with respectful professionals in the automotive industry. Had a leak and smoke coming out of my vehicle. These folks quickly let me know what was going on and how to move forward. I mostly dealt with Travis, he made sure that I knew what was going on every step of the way and was always extremely courteous and professional

My first encounter was with Chris. She was very helpful in resolving what we thought was going to be an issue but was rather a misunderstanding. She did so professionally and in a timely fashion. That then moved me to take my car here again for the brakes, new rotors, brake fluid change. She offered a loaner but due to a back issue I asked if she had a taller car I could use...She offered to reschedule so I could use the jeep. Also I asked be able to see the car on the rack so I could see work done at end of job. No problem! Everyone was helpful and I didnt feel like I was a bother or that they had anything to hide. AND I found out that if you have a Costco card this Shop offers 15% off with its partnership of Costco. So I had a great job done and even BEFORE Costco discount they were the most reasonable with a 5 year warranty! 🙏👌And I had priced 4 other shops😱 I found my shop!👍

We ave used Scotts since moving here in November and have found everyone weve worked with (David, Curtis, Brendan, Kris, and many more) to be kind, courteous, honest, and all willing to go above and beyond to make sure we are supported (including taking my car to get a smog check at air care!). We have been given loaner cars while our car is in the shop, rides, and even an uber called when a shuttle was unavailable. They have solid relationships with other auto providers and can helo get you the best deals. I even got used tires from another place discounted because David personally went to make sure the used tires I was getting were sufficient.Although Scotts may be slightly more expensive than other shops, you ultimately save in the end because you will never be paying for something you dont need AND you seriously get the absolute best customer support. Theres always a smile when I walk in and you can tell the people who work there respect and enjoy what they do, as well as respect Scott himself. I wouldnt recommend anyone else.

Really great customer service! Everyone who works there is super friendly and makes you feel welcome. I wouldn’t say they are any more affordable than other repair shops, but they do a great job, communicate well and make repairs quick. Will definitely continue to use them!

I was stranded on I-25 while towing a large trailer. I had the good fortune to be towed to Scotts. They made the best of an unpleasant situation. Everyone was extremely helpful. I truly appreciate their services.

If you are looking for a good auto shop, this is the one to go to. I have been coming here for years for oil changes and they always do a great job inspecting the vehicle. There is never any pressure to get maintenance done, but they do give you a report to inform you of what should be on your radar.I recently had several leaks in tires and they worked me in day of to help. My car ended up needing several repairs and they gave me a loaner car to have while they kept mine. They were extremely kind and communicative every step of the way, always updating me if a part was delayed in arriving. Chris, in particular, is so wonderful! But for someone who doesnt know much about cars, I can say that I have never felt inferior or dumb while Ive been in this shop. Highly recommend.

Beyond impressed with this place! Just moved across the country from Georgia and used google to find the best oil change place. Scott’s was top rated so I immediately made an appointment, they were super nice and they shuttled me home and back to the shop while they worked on my car which included a complete inspection with the craziest thoroughly documented stuff I’ve ever seen done for an oil change!! Like pictures of everything and all. I feel like I should have paid more than $77 for this and I made it out like a bandit 😲😲 I’ll absolutely be back here every 3 months or less depending on how much I’m driving! Everyone in northern Colorado needs to use Scott’s. I won’t go anywhere else. Oh also, they do the repairs they find needed as well. Thanks!!!!

I highly recommend going here to get your car taken care of. The service is incredible and they truly do care about their customers. I came in last minute on a busy Friday, hoping to get my car taken care of because I had work the next day. They got me in right away and even stayed late to finish my car.

I trust them not to sell me stuff I dont need and this is the first time I have been able to say that about a mechanic. The staff is so kind and helpful too.

At Scotts Automotive ALL staff is very attentive. David VanderVeer, Service Advisor and Gerry Vasquez, Technician, were most considerate and professional making sure that I understood in my first language ( Spanish ), my cars issues after their diagnose. Timely and effectively they replaced the transmission parts, offered a warranty that tops any other shops in town, and using their loaner vehicle was incredibly advantageous since I did not have to miss one day at work. Most important, my car is running like new! I feel relived from the stress to find honest, reliable, and five stars customer service at reasonable cost.

I got my oil changed here last year, and it was very convenient to have the shuttle to get me to and from class. Two weeks ago, I had a tire that was going flat. I gave them a call and I was able to get there and have someone look at it in under 10 minutes. They are really respectful and extremely helpful to their costumers! They had my tire fixed and the rest of the tries checked and filled in under 45 minutes. A HUGE thank you to David for getting me in fast and helping me be a lot less stressed!

Scotts is a top shelf auto repair shop. Its the kind of business I feel comfortable having work done on my vehicles. Kris was excellent at explaining the process and repairs and Ashlyn followed up after a few days with a call to check if the issues were resolved to my satisfaction and if I had any additional concerns or questions. Thats professional service you rarely see anymore. Scotts gets a high rating from me.

Sadly, my alternator gave out on me. Thankfully, Scott’s Auto sent a tow over in under half an hour, and had my back to me the next day.The entire time I was given great feedback on the vehicle and felt like the people doing business with me genuinely cared.Rare to find great auto shops these days, this is one of them.

I took my 2004 Subaru in to have the CV boot/axles fixed. The service was great and quick. I worked with David and he explained what they were going to do and the cost involved and was very upfront about the cost of the service. The price was reasonable and was mid range to lower than what other shops in town wanted for the same work. They also gave me a loaner car for the duration of the time my car was in their shop. I would recommend them for any auto service needed!

I was hoping for a positive experience when I chose Scotts Automotive. What brought me in was front end vibration which only occurred when I was braking on my Tundra. They reviewed the work and provided a great and thorough report which indicated the rotors/pads which were installed out of state were of inferior quality. Scotts report gave me hope/confidence they would be able to fix the problem. Their recommendation was to (again) exchange the brake pads and rotors on all 4 wheels. I was surprised and angered at this recommendation but I had confidence in their report and therefore authorized them to change the brakes/rotors on all 4 wheels (thereby fully redoing/repeating/repaying-for the same work I had done out-of-state).At first it seemed to have addressed the problem .. but then about a month into driving my 2014 Tundra .. the same vibration began to occur again. I was out-of-state again and although I called Scotts and they told me that there was a nationwide warranty on the work theyd done .. I was through using private mechanic shops within their network and took my Tundra to a Toyota dealership who (surprisingly) werent more expensive and the dealer ~ yet-again ~ .. changed the problematic rotors and brakes. The dealer mentioned that theyve seen issues with non-OEM rotors/brakes on Tundras in the past and said there was nothing special about the quality of the rotors/brakes Scotts had installed (which was frustratingly different from what Scotts had told me). Thankfully after 3 brake jobs and a year+ of driving on these dealer installed OEM rotors/brakes Ive not had a single vibration from the front end and am thankful the Toyota dealer accurately addressed and permanently fixed my Tundras brake issue.In retrospect .. this repair took place 1.5 years ago and during this time I literally gave the OEM repair a long time to prove its metal (and it has) ~ I took this much time because I really wanted to trust Scotts Automotive workmanship and word .. I am glad that Scotts could diagnose the issue but was really angered by the lack of accountability for the quality of the work/product they chose to install. Since this brake issue required/cost-$$$$ me 3 brake jobs to appropriately/successfully address I wouldnt recommend Scotts automotive again .. However, if you choose to use them .. know that they may accurately diagnose and fix the problem you had ... but the longevity of that fix may ultimately be dependent on the quality of the replacement product they source and in the case of brakes the failure of such a repair can have serious consequences.

Everyone I encountered at Scotts auto was very pleasant! My experience was quick and efficient! Brendan was exceptionally helpful letting me know what my car will need for further repairs... I will definitely be back!

Used Scotts for a private party used car pre-purchase inspection, my 18 year old sons first experience as it relates to buying a car. They generated a phenomenal report with pictures and descriptions of the entire cars condition. The most useful tool was the recommended repair laundry list with matching quote for each item to remedy. It is a tremendous asset to assist with decision making and / or negotiating an acceptable purchase price as a buyer. In our case, it saved my son $1,000s of dollars he would have become responsible for. My son was smart enough to recognize that although he loved the curb appeal of the car, it was not the right one for him. This report enabled him to make an informed decision instead of an emotional decision which easily saved him from potential disaster. It was well worth the sunk cost to avoid a mechanically disastrous used car! Convince your kids to use their pre purchase inspection service.

I had an amazing experience with Scotts Auto in Fort Collins. I needed an oil change and a tire rotation and wasnt sure where to go. I tried calling the Pedersen Toyota dealership for my RAV4 and had terrible customer experience. When I called Scotts I got through to someone right away and they answered all my questions politely. They got me a shuttle to work and paid for my Uber ride to pick up my car after work. Everyone was friendly and the price was amazing. Im so happy I found this place, believe all of the good reviews, this place is the best!

They did fix my car when I ran into a curb, but constantly try to upsell. Its hard to trust a company when, for example, they try to push a $69.99 battery health check on you to ultimately replace a ~$100 battery. Tried to shop local, lost my trust on that one.

Truly excellent service and thorough explanation of findings. Pricey though. Paid over $400 to flush brake fluid and rotate tires. I think it would be more palatable if the $100 diagnostics charge was applied to the services performed.

I felt that the customer service was excellent. I liked that they went through the car checking all the items in sequence that needed repair now, near future and later. Now I know exactly the items on the car that will keep in lasting running condition.

Took my 04 Chevy 2500 in here for some work. Fair price and great service. David was very helpful and kept me updated quite frequently. Will absolutely come back here in the future. Called me a couple days after repairs to see if there was anything they could do for me. Even wrote me a handwritten thank you note for being a customer. Now thats service.

Ive taken my Toyota Sienna in a few times now to Scotts Auto. The customer service and work done over there is always top notch! The crew is very friendly and knowledgeable and does a great job getting the work done right and timely. I wish I found Scott’s sooner! It was a great experience. Their customer service is awesome. I love I can drop my car off but don’t have to worry about transportation for the rest of the day. My family was on a cross country road trip with our 98 F150 and we somehow destroyed the entire back axle. This company was understanding of our situation, finances, and schedule. Not only did they cut us a great deal but also found us a used back axel to replace the one we messed up and an employee worked through their day off to help get us back on the road! Life savers!

I went in for clunking in my front end and diagnostic showed loose/damaged sway bar on one side. I was quoted for part and labor, which seemed suspiciously high for an inexpensive part thats easy to access and replace. I received a call a while later saying that I was misquoted and the other sway bar would be replaced as well. I went along with it even though the cost was well above the actual difficulty and cost of the repair. I was called again and told that the clunking had improved, but still existed due to a faulty part that was included in a service bulletin issued by the manufacturer some years ago, and had been discovered after the repair was made. I picked up my vehicle and the issue was exactly the same as when I dropped it off with no improvement and Im now -$323. Im an unemployed single mother of a 1 year and I just moved to town and dont have a penny to spare. Super disappointed.

Had the brake booster and ignition coil on my truck replaced for much less then I expected. David was great and I appreciate Ashley giving me a call to check in after the work was completed. The diagnostic report they provided was awesome for someone who knows nothing about vehicles. Simple break down of all issues and suggested maintenance. Overall great experience.

I love Scott’s auto body! They’re honest, friendly, and not pushy! Their work is quick. As an added bonus, they were able to offer me a courtesy car on both of my visits with them. David even helped put my car seat in the courtesy car for me so I could stay inside on a cold day with my baby! They’ve got a loyal customer in me!

David has been wonderful; he helps my kid understand what needs to be done, treats her with kindness and respect, and makes sure her car is safe. Being very new to the area, and my car needing quick reliable service for an emissions failure I had, I was recommended this service center. I could not be happier with the service, quality, pricing, or amenities of Scott’s!. The shuttle service, which was a major deciding factor, as my family only has one vehicle, was a free service. My service advisor, Brendon, made sure that I got all that I could for every penny I was going to spend! And boy did he do a great job! I will most definitely make this my “new hometown service center”! Reliability and getting your money worth is all of my decision- and at no point did I think they ever let me down!! Great Job!! I also wanted to point out that this service happened during the coronavirus pandemic and they took extra care and caution with cleaning and safety! Thank you!

I have been a patron of Scotts for several months, and in that short time they have completely blown away my expectations.My last experience began as dead battery(Not holding charge) and an alternator replacement. The tech I worked with was Austin, and he discovered an (extremely)Worn water pump pulley. All in all, they replaced the alternator, water pump, timing belt and a second serpentine belt. He somehow managed to lower the price several hundred dollars to keep it within my stated budget. A loaner car is always provided and the customer service is stellar. Very highly recommended. ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars

I cannot overstate how much I like and appreciate Scott’s. I’ve only taken my car there twice but I feel confident returning and recommending them to you. Their hospitality, loaner car program, and comprehensive service reports are their best (and my favorite) features. I was impressed by how bright, tidy, and well-appointed the lobby is. I don’t usually hang around while my car’s being serviced but, if you must, you’ll be comfy. David took excellent care of me during both visits. I received loaner cars and a couple of Uber rides while I was without my car completely free of charge—life saving! I’m the worst kind of car owner (know little about cars, don’t really care to learn to DIY, only bring it in when something catastrophic happens, etc.) AND I’m a young woman in an auto repair shop... If you know, you know. But, here, I never feel taken advantage of or condescended to. Give them a try!

Wow!! Great experience! Scott’s Automotive were extremely nice! Great customer service! They also took time to explain to me detail what I should have worked on in the future for my car. They were not pushy and very honest. They performed a thorough exam on my vehicle - took pictures, wrote a detail report and documented it all!Best of all is they are were truly nice and made me feel super welcomed!Thank you guys for everything! Wish I would of found out about them sooner!

I recently switched mechanics and Ive been pleased with Scotts. Theyre friendly, professional, and fairly easy to make appointments with. No scare tactics here, just quality service and a low-key atmosphere. Its refreshing. The shuttle service is helpful too.

I’m not usually one to write reviews or rate the quality of a business- but I had to after the great experience I had here. I thought I heard my Honda making a weird noise when I reached high rpms so I gave the store a call. Mike was very knowledgeable on the phone and I really liked how he took time to listen to me. The following day, I walked in and was instantly greeted by Billy. He was extremely friendly and was already up to date with what was going on with my vehicle. A mechanic drove my vehicle around with/without me to inspect the noise. Thankfully, nothing was wrong with my Honda. To put this in perspective, they DEFINITELY value you, your car, and your opinion oppose to making a profit. I can’t stress this enough when I say this is the best auto repair shop in Fort Collins. These guys have my trust and I’ll be back for oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Thanks guys!

I would recommended Scotts Auto in Fort Collins to anyone needing mechanical services. I worked directly with Mike and David and they provided great value to me and my wife as their customers. We brought in our 2001 Pontiac Aztek for engine diagnostics knowing that this was probably the last time we would drive this vehicle. They went above and beyond the call of duty to provide great customer service. They were honest in their recommendations, friendly in their customer interactions, and fast with their work. They sent us a detailed report with pictures of our vehicle. Not only were we given a loaner while our car was inspected, but once it was determined that our vehicle would be a total loss, they were quick to help us with the disposal of our car and then point us to resources for purchasing our next family vehicle.
