These buildings are terribly managed and maintained. Secure facilities arent even a little secure. No preventative maintenance is done on anything. Takes them months to fulfill deficiencies promised on your lease. Units are without A/C all summer. Stay away.
IF I COULD I WOULD PUT ZERO STARS. waiting since last Thursday for an answer. They WOULD NOT take nor return phone calls. Then imagine that....after a week of non returned phone called we are suddenly denied but we do not get our $200 security deposit (to HOLD the apt) back. How many others are they doing this to. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME because if that is how they do business I am very thankful they deemed us unworthy of their flats.
The team at this place is really great! Kelsey was very helpful when I wanted to see multiple units, and stayed engaged when I got pretty picky about things. She could also answer any question I had (I had a lot!). They were very kind and accommodating in my decision process. This really swayed my decision about where to live - competent, caring staff is crucial, and I didnt find this level of clarity and attentiveness elsewhere. Glad to know I will have this here. Thank you!
The reviews on the Flats website seem to be fake. I wonder if these were added to the website by the marketing team because of the decrease in traffic with COVID. This would not be very ethical practice. Somebody should look into this.
Me and my wife have lived here two years now, and absolutely love it. Its really close to everything down town, and the faculty is absolutely amazing. Chad and Brittany do an incredible job assisting with questions, and are super friendly. You literally can not have a better staff. Maintenance, if needed, is also extremely timely and friendly as well. If youre looking at living down town, you can not go wrong with these apartments.
Moving into Mason Street Flats and am so excited. Great apartment with views of the mountains, right next to Old Town, and a couple blocks away from some nice running trails. Also, Brittany with the leasing team is wonderful. Cant think of a better spot to land in Fort Collins.
Great location, great management!
Toured with Chad. He had great insight on the area and really helped me learn what floor plans would work best for me. Although I am currently just looking, I for sure give this place 5 stars! Hoping to call this place home in the near future.
I have lived here for three years now and have loved it. The management team recently switched over and are doing great in my opinion. The maintenance team is very professional and has quickly responded to the few requests I have made. Nothing beats this location in Fort Collins as it is in walking distance to nearly all of Old Town with countless restaurants and fun bars.
Weve been here three years and thoroughly enjoyed the location and amenities the property has to offer. The property is on its third management group, and with each new management there has been a period of confusion due to the lack of information passed from one management group to the next. Our only real complaint, would be the allocation of funds from a portion of our rent. Management tends to host many community events each month for the tenants. Many tenants are unable to attend these events due to schedule conflicts, and feel the funds for these events would be more effectively allocated into the buildings maintenance and upkeep. As some of the routine building maintenance is seriously lacking.
The staff is very helpful and the location is great. Tammy and her team have been super accommodating and have been more than great since the moment I moved in. I really liked the location, not only because it is in Old Town but because it is also right next to Lee Martinez park which I really enjoyed. The only downfall to the location is the train but after a couple weeks you get used to it. I am going to miss this place!
We have had a wonderful experience at the Mason Street Flats and the Community Manager, Tammy Peterson. We only needed to be in for a short time as we searched for a house and they were more than accommodating through the process! They accept dogs and are incredibly pet friendly throughout the complex so it was a great place to have our pups. Whenever we had any issues with appliances (which was not often), they were quick to respond to work orders and get us taken care of in a timely manner. I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Mason Street Flats.
Jose from the maintenance team is awesome! He always does a great job . Shout out Jose!!!
Very friendly staff and always there to help you out and go out of your way to make everything go as planned. Britney helped me out with transferring units and a busy time and really made the whole process an enjoyable experience.
Mason Street Flats has a great management staff that caters to their tenants needs when needed. The Assistant manager Chandler Hartoin is always helpful with any situation that might come up. Also Ethan the maintenance assistant is super diligent on getting work orders done.
Had a great time time living here, Chad in the leasing office is super helpful. Awesome maintenance staff, and cheap renting for the area.
Fabulous location and an incredible management team - I would not rent anywhere in Fort Collins but in their three properties. And I love the Old Town location and underground parking. Thank you Ryan Darnell, Chad Hartoin and Sydney Baker!!!
Great experience with Brittany and Ryan. Moving in July and I can’t wait. Beautiful apartments in an ideal location. It was a no brainer when I knew I was moving to Fort Collins.
The tour was terrific, Brittany was wonderful, and did a great job showing us the apartment. We cant wait to move in!!
Great service at mason flats, especially working with Brittany! Visit here if you want quality living!
RUN! I dont usually do reviews but after living here for a year I feel like I need to warn people. The apartments themselves are in good shape and they are in a great location but there are some serious problems. First, the internet is the worst thing you will ever experience, they upgraded while I was there and it was still so bad that I couldnt even check my email because it would take 5 minutes to load and then just to open it would take another 5 minutes. I actually started to use my phones hotspot because it was so bad. The reason its so bad is because its a shared network so from about 9 am when everyone wakes up to midnight the internet speed is god awful. When I did a system check I came back with less than 1 mbps for both upload and download speeds. Worst part is you are not allowed to have your own internet or get another provider your locked in with theirs and they tell you that each unit comes with a router in your room. Its not a router its an extender and it doesnt work. I had pictures sent to them showing that when I completely unplugged the extender my internet connection never changed strengths. I know this kind of sounds like first world problems but you can forget doing any type of streaming like Netflix or YouTube. Second, our apartment building experienced a number of maintenance issues, my bathroom was flooded for 2 days because somebody above me flooded their bathroom and the maintenance guys never thought to check the apartment below while I was in the mountains for the weekend. Also expect to have the Fire Alarm go off at least once every two months. We had it go off at least 4 times while I was there and all of them were after 1a.m. so be ready to stand in the cold on a work night a couple times during your lease. We actually started ignoring them because we just didnt feel like going out in the snow when we knew there wasnt a fire. The final thing I would say is that the train is something I was a little mislead about. I was from out of town and had never seen or heard the train go by. When I asked the lady who showed me the apartment about the train she told me it goes by once or twice a day and never late at night. BIG LIE, the train fluctuates and some days you can have 10 trains go by and other days it can be 3-4 but the time does not matter at all. They are freight trains so you would hear them going by at all times, midnight, 3am, 5am. there is no time frame that they do not operate and the conductors can be saints or absolute jerks. Some will blow the horn a couple times through town and some will literally hold the horn down the entire time they move through town and you will be able to hear them at least a mile or two away. Like I said I normally dont write reviews but I just feel like I should try to help people avoid the headache I went through. On a final note I want to say that it was not just me and my roommate that hated this place. We were friends with people in 4 other units and every single one of them were leaving ASAP. Just look around and get a place somewhere else, you can still find a place close to downtown and get it at a fraction of the cost. Just not worth it to live in this place
I feel very ripped off after living here. Ridiculous charges, staff is very difficult to deal with, the internet rarely worked and was very expesinve and you are automatically charged for internet in the rent. They dont warn you of any charges but sneak them in later once your moved out. They would not use the pet deposit towards pet damage but instead they took it out of the security deposit. Worst apartment company I have ever dealt with.
Great apartments and great location!
