I love this place! Toured with Jackson and got to speak with the property manager, Nataly. They were super sweet and very inviting and helpful. These reviews on here are terrible, I cant imagine why people like to leave such hateful reviews when the office staff are so kind and helpful. Regardless, looking into a1x1 for December, fingers crossed!

Go elsewhere. There is no clear leadership at these properties. I have tried to make contact multiple times and staff does not answer the telephone and responses to emails do not address basic questions asked. For example, I have received two emails within a week that directly contradict one another. The property management does not seem to have sufficient information to answer the questions asked. For example, where in the property is the unit located? Is it east (train) facing or west (mountains) facing. This seems like a relatively simple question. Yet, within two emails, I got opposite answers. We do not currently have a property map of Max flats. Translation we dont know the answer to your question or where the units are located in the building. I feel bad for employees who do not seem to have the tools to do their jobs.

Wonderful apartments! I loved the 2 bedroom apartment I toured. The open floorplan in the kitchen and living area was great and the balcony was amazing! I love sitting outside, especially as the weather starts to warm up, and this balcony will be perfect for that! I also loved the walk-in closets in both bedrooms. Location is so convenient. The manager Nataly is amazing and so easy to work with.

Got towed out of the retail parking spot because I parked there and was grabbing a coffee. I dont understand because they didnt put a warning sticker on my car or anything. I was gone maybe 10 minutes. I called Wyatts towing to ask why they would tow the car and they just hung up on me. My boyfriend lives at Max Flats and he said they hired Wyatts towing to enforce parking passes. This seems like a bit much considering I wasnt parked in anyones spot. Max Flats is terrible, dont live there!!!

Great location, reasonable rent, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Michelle especially! I called the office probably over 10 times in the past week to ask various questions as I was starting to lease with them and Michelle was always happy to help and made sure I knew that I was not a bother to her. She is very knowledgeable about the property and made this entire process go smoothly.

Wonderful location! Chad helped me get settled quickly and seamlessly into a unit with all new appliances. I moved to Max Flats for convenience, and thats definitely what I got. Maintenance requests were always answered a timely matter. Thanks, Max!

Horrible experience with this apartment complex. Had to move out early due to COVID-19 related issues and they handled it very poorly.Also, the view from my window is the train tracks. The train goes through town at least 5 times a day and honks the extremely loud horn multiple times. It also goes by twice in the middle of the night. We were unaware of this situation when moving in. Don’t move here if you wake up from extremely loud noises in the middle of the night.

This place is perfect for anyone, not just college students! I love the atmosphere of the building, its really cozy and theres lots of space even in the studio apartments to customize it and make it home-y. The leasing office is also great and very helpful. Chad has been helping me from the very beginning to give me all the information I needed in order to make moving in smooth and stress free! Ryan also helped me out with the technical stuff like getting my WiFi set up etc. Both of them are very nice and make the whole process feel genuine rather than a business deal. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking to avoid the stress associated with moving in and more!!

Chad was super helpful in getting me into an apartment quickly and effectively. He informed me about the specials and promotions that The Flats had. The layout of the apartment is efficient and everything is new! It has a great kitchen as well. I seriously recommend these apartments for the young professionals.

Chad is very good at responding to your pressing questions and is only a phone call away to help with any problem! He also group facetimed my friends and I for a virtual tour when we couldnt get a chance to see the apartment in person!

I called to inquire about availability and received white glove treatment from Brittany in the lease office. She was courteous and kind and accessible when I needed to call back with questions! It was so refreshing to talk to someone who listened and was delightful at the same time!

Do not apply for an apartment here unless you are committed to never seeing your $200 holding deposit again. Applied for an apartment in October, was asked to send more materials/information and then didnt receive a response or approval until 8 days later. After I did not receive a response for over a week, I chose to go with a different apartment and asked for my holding deposit back. Initially, I was told that refunds were impossible because there was a 72 hour refund period from the date you first apply. Again: My application and initial response from staff were 8 DAYS apart.After a bit of complaining, I was told over email that the accounting department would refund me within 60 days......6 months later, still no refund.Thank you, Max Flats, for taking $200 to hold an apartment I never moved into. Why not call this an extra application fee if you need the money so badly?

WORST management of all time. 0 stars, 0/10. Positive reviews are posted because reviewers are ASKED to do so. Ive lived here for a year and the management has been an absolutely atrocious nightmare the entire time. The the leasing office employees are rude and unhelpful, if you can even get ahold of them. If you actually can get in contact with the leasing office, any question will be met with we will call you back and you will never receive a call back no matter how many times you ask/call. The leasing office offers next to no communication with residents about new procedures or issues. They started towing after months of no towing service and failed to let residents know until days after they started again. They have allowed residents to be towed from their parking spaces on multiple occasions. Nataly threatened my roommate and I with court and eviction after a portion of rent was one week late when the rent check was actually in the leasing offices mailbox. Leasing office employees will be rude and aggressive on all occasions. Crystal is the only honorable mention in the staff.

After searching for months for a place that would work with all our needs, we were ready to give up. Then we had the wonderful chance to work with Brittany Gilchrist-Page at Max Flats. She was AMAZING. So understanding, knowledgable, and approachable. She helped make our hunt for a home so much better and easier and, dare I say, fun! Would happily sign again anytime!

Ive had nothing but good experiences with Max Flats. My mom rents an apartment there and loves it. She recently had three minor maintenance issues. They were corrected the same day she reported them and Jose did an awsome job! Highly recommend.

Great location to Old Town. We were in a two-bedroom, and it was nice. Maintenance was super fast and helpful on basic fixes. The elevator went out I think 4 times (for weeks at a time, usually) in the last 12 months we were there. That made it really terrible with our infant child. The train being 50 feet away didnt help either. It was a much better fit when it was just me and my wife, but when our son came around, it became much less than an ideal place to live.

Management is amazing, Alyssa has made living here absolutely fantastic. I love how close it is to downtown! They have a cleaning staff that makes the building sparkle! Great views as well. The only thing is my upstairs neighbor walks really loudly and we dont have a gym. It is on the pricier side as well.But I love living here!

The move-in process here was so difficult. However, since the change in management, this has been a wonderful home. The maintenance is always responsive and understanding. The proximity to Old town and CSU is perfect.

I live at Max Flats and absolutely love it. Close to all the shops and restaurants in Old Town and, honestly, extremely quiet for being a couple blocks from CSU. Leasing staff are helpful and the maintenance dude is super quick with fix-ups. Our laundry closet sliding door came off the track and he came the next morning to fix it up.Overall its been a great place. No complaints!

Ive lived in Max Flats practically for a year now. The Building at first glance seems great, great location nice modern finishes etc etc.Upon living here i started to notice that its mostly smoke and mirrors, the apartments are made as cheaply as possible and rented at a high price just for the location, but that was not a problem i couldnt deal with. The real problem is with management, and Im not talking about janitors and groundskeepers, the main leasing office is a mess and in some bizarre way is against the leasers (the client). If they make a mistake its on you to make up for, the office staff is absolutely not understanding, rude and unprofessional, sad to see a nice place with nice folk like Fort Collins being run by leasing corporations that just want money and dont care about their clients.

The best thing about Max Flats is its close proximity to both CSUs campus and Old Town. As far as customer service is concerned, Chad was super responsive to all questions and needs I had as a resident, and Ethan always took care of my maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.

Overall, Max Flats is a great place to live. The location is perfect - both CSU and Old Town are only a few blocks away. As a graduate student I have appreciated the location and also the quietness of the building. I havent had any trouble with noisy neighbors. I live on the West side of the building, so the train noise isnt bad at all. Safeway is really close, too, and the Max bus system has a stop right outside the apartment building.Like the reviews noted below, the transfer to Echelon was incredibly frustrating. Now, however, the current apartment manager and maintenance guy are extremely responsive to questions or complaints. My roommate and I were looking at other apartments (all due to management transfer problems), but we decided to lease at Max Flats thanks to the efforts of the current manager, Alissa.The only cons are limited parking space (I have a parking spot but my roommate has to park on the street) and dog pee sometimes in the south stairs. We have been pretty happy here, and hope to stay for another year or two if rent doesnt increase by a whole bunch!

I rented a 2-bedroom apartment from 2016-2017.Pros: Good location; pet friendly (but carpeted hallways and no grass).Cons: Expensive. Cheap appliances and construction. Very limited parking ($75/mo parking fee when you get off the waitlist). No management/leasing office on-site. Noisy/messy neighbors.I feel for anybody who encounters an issue after you move out. Management is incompetent. Extremely poor communication and very unpleasant to work with.

I lived here for 2 years, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was constantly breaking down, the toilet, the shower, all the drains in all the sinks, lights burning out and smoking, water heater shutting off, handles from the sink coming off, boards falling off, washer growing black mold, one window, no patio or sitting area outside, no community area, mandatory valet trash, etc. the elevator was down for a total of 4 months out of the second year there, late fees were OUTRAGEOUS on rent, I felt like I lived in a dorm with see all the “late rent/late fee” notices on ALL the doors on my floor. Not even professional enough to put notices in our mailboxes. Completely trashed hallways, pet waste smell never left. Just not worth the over 1,200 for a studio apartment. Didn’t hear from the property group for over 2 months, no call back. No e mail back. Offices were locked. So many more things, but this is just the jist of it.

I am a current tentant in MaxFlats (Sept 15) and I have to say it is a great place to live. The location is fantastic; easy access to CSU and spitting distance from several great bars and restaurants.The property management team is quick to respond to issues in our apartment and very friendly. Alissa made moving in a very pain free process and has made a concious effort to quickly respond to requests.I would highly recommend this complex for both students and young professionals looking for a modern accomodation with top notch service from maintenance and the leasing office.
