I am so impressed with the experience I have had with the employees who work at The District at Saxony! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the amazing staff who work to make living here an enjoyable time! Matty worked with my husband and I to make our move-in easy and stress free! If you are looking for a place to call home, come live here!
I have loved my experience at the district so far! I have only been here a couple months but ever since the first day they have been so nice and welcoming. They have made having my first apartment so easy and such a wonderful experience.
This property has awesome office staff, maintenance is responsive, close to Hamilton Town Center and restaurants. The facility amenities and common areas are very well appointed. Top notch!
Leasing office and maintenance staff are top-notch. Grounds and amenities are well maintained. Good neighbors and a safe place to live!
Anytime I need maintenance or have questions, they get with me and/or complete the same day. The communication is great. I’ve never had any issues. It is a higher price than I’d like to spend, but I pay for the peace of mind. I know if I need something, they’ll take care of it ASAP and most of all I feel safe.
Great staff and beautiful property. I would recommend to anyone!
Firstly, I’d like to say that Shay from the front office made the difference for me deciding on a 5 star review, rather than a 4 star review. I moved to The District at Saxony a little over a year ago. I’ve been extremely happy with this move, it’s been one of the most pleasant apartment-living experiences I’ve ever had. The front office staff is AMAZING! Shay has been my contact since day 1 and she goes above and beyond for the residents and the community. She makes you feel at home! The maintenance staff has always been extremely quick and efficient in taking care of all matters, and the grounds are kept nice and clean. I’ve never had to contact maintenance for the same issue twice. There are so many fun events and weekly offers for the residents, I can’t say enough good things about this apartment complex. I feel safe, secure and comfortable living here. Plus, my dog LOVES that he can meet new friends here, and has plenty of space for walks.I’d HIGHLY recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking to move to the area.
I’ve been at The District for a couple of months now. I am really loving it so far. The whole property is very well maintained and the office staff is very accommodating and friendly. I also love being right next to Saxony Lake. I use the walking path for my running warm ups and cool downs. Definitely worth taking a tour if you’re looking in the area.
10/10. My dishwasher valve burst. It was no ones fault, it just happened. I woke up in the morning to rushing water and my whole apartment in inches of water. I called emergency maintenance at 6am and they were there 10 minutes later. Vacuumed all the water out and had the fans and dehumidifier going within the hour. I was terrified my carpet would mold since it all got soaking wet. I emailed the leasing manager Kiley about it and she just scheduled a date for me to get my carpet replaced no questions asked! These guys are seriously amazing amazing AMAZING and I would recommend them to anyone!
Before Covid-19. I went in to look at apartments on the beach side. I asked them if they had any available or when they would. She said they have nothing right now and that was it. Didn’t offer any help or possibility of when something might open up. So I went somewhere else since they were not helpful at all. Very disappointing.
Great office staff. They learned my name quickly and are always friendly. The maintenance staff is fantastic. Our work orders are almost always completed within 1 day. They keep the place nice, plan fun events and are always trying to be helpful. Not sure what else you could ask for in an apartment complex!
We moved to The District at Saxony two months ago. We love everything about it. The management is always friendly and helpful. Maintenance responds immediately when called. The location is the best, close to entertainment and dining! The best part is that its a very pet friendly community!!
I was first in an apartment building and moved in the townhouse. I absolutely love living here and have resigned my lease twice now. The office staff are always very nice and super kind to my kids. Kylie, the office manager is awesome! Only complaint I have is the heating bill, HOLY COW. Its expensive. The maintenance team is decent from what I can tell. I have not had to use them much. Overall, this really is a great place to live. If we didnt need a larger home, we would resign our lease again. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment.
Great place to love, safe and secure and very well kept. Excellent management staff, very repsonsive!
I moved in to The District at Saxony about two months ago. From my very first experience with them I have had nothing but positive experiences. Obviously no place is 100% perfect but this is the closest I have found in the area. Below is my honest, and very long (sorry!), review so far.I was a bit late for my tour because I got lost and called to let them know. Shay, the leasing representative, said it was not a problem and even helped give me directions to get there.Shay is fantastic. Very friendly, personable, and she genuinely listens to you and cares about making your experience a good one.She helped me all the way through my application process, approval, and lease signing. She even maintained her awesome demeanor when I switched my floor plan 3 times....I was a bit indecisive between 2 units and she was fantastic. Never made me feel like I was asking too much, which I totally was...but she never made me feel like that. She helped me every step. The apartments are very nice. I like the quirky layouts, personally. I love the kitchen appliances and high ceilings. I am not a huge fan of the washer/dryer combo that my unit came with (it struggles to dry things sometimes and leaves lint and fluff everywhere) but nothing to cause a fuss over. The building I live in never has issues with parking. Some buildings closer to the front or beachside I have seen get more crowded, but mine is never an issue so I think it really depends where you live. I have not had any issues with noise. It is an apartment so you will hear stuff from time to time but I cant make out whole conversations like I could at my last place and I have never lost any sleep because of any noise. It is very quiet 99% of the time, and I am one that hates noise...so I would have issues if it was too noisy and I havent here. Some really great things about the complex and management that I like are the monthly resident week appreciation events they do. They do it every month! Little events every day during that week, like trash pickup, discount pizza, free donuts. It is great! And maintenance is ridiculously awesome! They have always taken care of my requests same day. Even silly stuff like moving a shelf down a bit in my kitchen was taken care of within a few hours of my request. And these folks were out salting the sidewalks at 9pm on Christmas Eve when it had started to snow! Little things like that speak volumes to me.
I am not a resident, but my wife and I considered living here. This apartment complex is very nice with tons of great amenities in the units and especially in the clubhouse. The proximity to the Saxony beach was a bonus as well! The leasing staff were helpful and friendly!
Great place to live! The staff are extremely helpful and really go out of their way to help you get settled and to make your stay pleasurable.
One of the best places in Indiana. Well kept, great people, and a great place to eat. Will be visiting this taco bell again.
Management is fine. Thats about where it ends. People let their dogs roam off leash. My dog has been attacked four times. Hes been chased by other dogs a few more times. A lot of residents dont clean up after their dogs, so good luck not stepping in poo. They have free dog poo bags, but people are too lazy to grab one.I had to get health insurance for my dog because I was terrified that hed be seriously injured, and I wouldnt be able to pay to save his life. The leash LAW isnt enforced. Im afraid every time I walk my dog that he will be attacked again. The last time he was almost attacked by a small dog, the stress from it made me so sick I puked. It makes me lightheaded afterwards, too. I can only imagine how my dog feels. Hes a large dog, so when its a small dog attacking him, Im more afraid he will attack back. And hed have that right. The newer apartments are drafty. With Duke having raised their rates and the drafty apartments, be prepared to spend about 1/4 of your rent (or more) on electric.I called emergency maintenance because my dishwasher smelled like it was burning (no smoke or fire), and no one ever called me back.Maintenance was amazing last winter. The sidewalks were always shoveled and then salted. If you just shovel them without salting them, you get ice. Well, evidently they dont use salt anymore except at the front office area. Im assuming they are short-staffed. At least when I fall, I can send them the bill.If you have to break your lease with a 30 day notice, its $3000. Just be aware of that.I dont get the emails about the fun events coming up, and evidently it doesnt matter. I also dont get the emails about the fire alarms being tested. I dont get any emails from the office except when I have a package (and sometimes they dont get around to sending those).Neighbors are loud and inconsiderate of others.I am not able to write a review on some of the apartment review websites even though Im a tenant. Hmmmm.
I really love my apartment. Its not the cheapest place in town at all but Ive been comparing prices of other places in the area and its on par. I love the location, great appliances, great storage, good layouts, and the staff is great. I moved in here when it was brand new and have been here 2.5 years. Maintenance is on top of the abandoned dog poo, things get fixed quickly and really I dont have big complaints. Yes, I hear my neighbors upstairs, and the heavy doors in the hallways are loud, and you hear people going up the stairs, but thats an apartment for you. I would like it if my rent stopped increasing every year, but its still relatively on par with the rest of the apartments in the area. Its a good place to live!
Horrible customer service. I love the apartment, was ready to sign a lease, but I cant get anyone from the office to call me back and confirm if they have a unit available. I have now attempted four different times to reach the office in the last two days. They do not answer the phone and they do not return calls. When I toured the site last weekend, potential renters were ignored in the lobby because the person in the leasing office was busy. Even when I was taken on my tour, she just left the others sitting there in the lobby. She did not say bye to them or tell them when she would be back. Love this complex, had my heart set on moving here, but now I am reconsidering since the office staff is unresponsive.
I have never lived in a place where I have been sooo disappointed in what you get. Most of the time the saying you pay for what you get is true, in this case not so much. These are not inexpensive apartments by any means. They are great from the fact that they allow all breeds of dogs, but that is it on the plus side. The smoke alarms sound every time you use the oven or take a shower. The cabinets already have paint missing from them and the hallways are always dirty. I will never resign here and cannot recommend it to anyone.
I did a good review a month ago, but now my opinion of them has definitely changed.Pros- they send you emails on fun events and announcements.- outdoor pool and hot tub-Two Grills that you can use-Utilities are decent prices-Close to the Outdoor Mall-Emergency maintenance responded quickly to our issue( It was 11pm)Cons- The management does nothing to help you. They are very inexperienced and have no humane morals at all (I will try to explain)-Dont expect to get your mail in Fishers.-Mid October-let them know we had to leave for a job transfer in Mid-November.-Thought we could get a sub tenant by then, but unfortunately could not.-November 14th 2016, we moved and I went to the office to inform them.-Had 2 choices/ find a sub tenant or pay $3,000 to break the lease.-Tried to find a sub tenant because paying $3,000 was way out of our price range.-Mid-December/ Had 2 people interested but their application was denied. At that time we had waited to pay the December rent because we thought our last applicant would get the apartment. We were given a fee over $100 even though we asked if they could take it off because of the application process going on at the time.-Alas we could not find a sub tenant and we could not afford to continue paying 2 rents. We would do the $3,000 break. I called to inform them that we would like to do that. The lady told me in order to break it the $3,000 would have to be paid in full. I told her we could not afford that, and if we could pay it in stages. She told me it wasnt their problem and that people pay it all the time.-we had to do the 60 day notice for $1,500. I asked if they could move the 60 day notice date to November 14th 2016 since we did leave that day. The lady told me no.-We still have the apartment and there continue to be arguments, and confusion. Take in the point we havent lived there for over a month and a half.-It is a very long story and there are other things that they wouldnt do for us. I also tried to contact the J.C. Hart company at the time between November and Decemeber and no one EVER called me back.-The point is do not live here. I thought they were very nice people, but if you get in a situation where you need to leave unexpectedly dont expect them to be helpful.I made sure that our new apartment didnt have an expensive price for cutting the lease for a job transfer. Our new apartment complex only makes you pay $500 if you need to cancel the lease because of a job transfer, and you sign a form separate from the lease. Our new apartment complex even let me return our garage keys on January 1st and not pay the $75 for the month even though you have to give a 15 day written notice. So our new apartment let us save $75, but The District at Saxony couldnt go back to at least the day WE MOVED so that we could save $889.
Dont live here and thank me later. Absolutley horrible expierence. Front office staff is rude, the layout of the buildings is strange, parking sub-par, and for the price, the apartments are laughable and smelly. Dishwasher isnt even bolted in place, many nails sticking up on the deck, and I could go on and on. Worst place ever, and this is the first time I felt compelled to write a review.
