I am the contractor for the windows, that the tenant Mr Meeks is referring to in his review.The statement concerning the owner not having the proper payment to finish paying the company is completely false. Windows have to be ordered, and take an extended amount of time to arrive. The door openings had to be framed and boarded before the windows could be ordered, to ensure a good fit. This was all explained to the tenant and he had absolutely no problem with it, as everything was buttoned up tight while we waited. The owner also replaced several huge sections of handrails with vinyl railings at the front and rear of the house with the same tenant occupying the home to ensure the porches were safe. Hollis Peery and his staff have always been friendly and professional. I recommend them to anyone that needs property management.
My husband and I rented a house owned by Hollis Perry, we had a TERRIBLE experience. While signing our lease Hollis promised to fix the many issues that the house had before we moved in. He never did. For months while I was pregnant we had to deal with a broken pipe that created an insane amount of mold all through the main living room ceiling, which was toxic for all of us breathing in, including my unborn baby. The leak from the pipe also created an awful smell in the carpet and stained it. He also switched out the doors for windows, and didn’t have the proper payment to finish paying the company, so for 2 months we had boarded up windows, which did not only create a safety hazard, but created an infestation of bugs coming through into our home. The master bedrooms shower remained broken the entire 2 years, despite our numerous complaints, so we were unable to use our second bathroom. The fence outside was never fixed, so we had to deal with the neighbors dog constantly coming into our yard and being aggressive. Those are just a few of the issues we had. He may be a great company to sub rent from, however DO NOT RENT HOLLIS PERRYS PERSONAL RENTALS UNLESS YOU WANT AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE. He is money hungry and does not care about his tenants.

Top real estate company in the area that help sell my home in Fayetteville. They also managed the house for 10 years or so and was very professional and responsive. It felt like I wasnt just a number on their rolodex when I called. Other management firms in the area seemed to big for me to work with. I was out of state the majority of my time and they took care of everything, which was a relief and reduced stress when I was away or overseas. Being a vet I try to conduct business with other like minded business owners and its great that Peerys is owned by a veteran. I rented a house from them when I first got divorced. The house was a great value and a perfect starting point for my girls and I to get back on our feet.They even allowed me to get a German Shepherd dog (the property allowed pets) with a statement from my vet on his disposition. This was very important because my ex was harassing me and this helped more than the police could. They were nothing but kindx courteous, and respectful.
I have been using Peerys Property Management or years, and they have been the greatest. I had a few property managers prior to them, and the fail in comparison to Peerys.They were always prompt and courteous when reaching out to me with an issue and always gave good advice and contracted the right people to perform maintenance. The team gave proper guidance for upgrades to the property to assist in getting renters in and since I have hired them have never gone longer than 30 days without a renter. A far cry from previous management companies.I recently decided to sell my home after the tenant moved out, and Peerys was there to assist with getting it ready for sale, and I am happy to report that after 4 short weeks, I received and accepted an offer. This is after the original realtor I had hired years ago let the house sit for 18 months with no offers or advice on how to market it better.Peerys has been an immense help through my numerous deployments and longer than expected stays out of the area. Peery property management has been by far one of the best property management companies that my family has rented from. Work orders were responded to immediately and if something took longer than expected, the communication was prompt. If we were to rent in the fayetteville area again, peery would be our first option.

I’ve been a rented from and had a home rented with Peery’s. They’re always professional and I’ve never had any issues.
I honestly would give them zero stars if that were an option. We have moved several times being in the military and have never experienced such horrendous property management. Their response time is non-existent. We were charged a late fee on rent, after having confirmation via email, prior to the rent being due, that said they received our payment. I noticed it had not been taken out of our account at the usual time and called to verify. Hollis then informed me, I was mistaken he never received it, despite him saying he had. Now I am the one paying a late fee because he is an incompetent manager. We are getting money taken from security deposit for a bush not being trimmed up enough prior to moving out. When we moved in you could not see the driveway, there was a rotten pumpkin in the backyard and the backyard looked like it had not been touched for months. Also, our neighbors informed me squatters we’re living in the house prior to our move in and when we moved in there were half used soap bars in the showers. They have a double standard, are liars, hypocrites, do not take care of their properties and manage everything very poorly. I would never do business with them again, and will be taking further action against their horrible company.
Horrible company! They will steal your money and put you in a dangerous home (see all the negatives about them from others below) and then make you pay the price .They took money out of my deposit because their garage door kept breaking. We looked up NC rental law and that is considered regular home repairs due by them. My family has a great lawyer who is researching all the below claims. I was injured badly in the home I rented from them because the deck had rotted and I fell thru. They never fixed it. It was also covered in mold but they say since their guy couldnt prove it must not be true .Hollis was rude and lied from the day I met him. He even damaged my rental car by closing the garage door onto it then said he did not remember. I can not wait for the city to shut them down or fine them. Well know in a few months. Stay away from them. Pathological liar with unsafe homes.
I have nothing bad to say about perrys. Renters who complain need to remember that property managers are at the mercy of the owners when it comes to what the owners want to pay for to have fixed. If the owners want a second, third, fourth etc opinion the management has to comply even if it means the renters having to wait too long and getting frustrated. In defense of the owners, if its an expensive fix, I think its smart to get more then one estimate. Peerys has been on top of it with us and so far always done their best to get problems resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Do not rent from these people!!! EXTREMELY unprofessional! We asked for our back porch steps to be fixed after they broke from ROTTING. It took my 4 year old getting a very serious scrape from falling on them for Peerys to finally have someone come out and fix them. They put on a new roof 1 month AFTER we moved in (instead of getting it done before tenants moved in). They left nails in the driveway which then went into our car tire...which WE had to pay for. Currently, the people living at the house that we used to rent are using the security system while WE get the bill. This property management company is AWFUL and youd be smart (and save money) if you just stay away!

Ive rented from Perrys Mgmt for close to 7 years now and Ive experienced nothing but prompt,professional help and understanding.Ive had financial bumps in the road here and there and Hollis and Anthony has stood by me no matter what and worked with me with no hesitation and was patient and allowed me to straighten things out with no stress or pressure whatsoever.I cant say that anyone else would respond and assist me in that manner and Im truly thankful.I havent seen nor experienced anything such as the negative feed backs stated, but I can only speak on what Ive experienced.Awesome team as far as Ive experienced

I originally gave them 5 stars because when we started renting from them summer of 2015, they were great. They responded quickly, took care of things in timely manner, etc. However from 2018 on, they sucked. Very slow to fix things or not even fix things at all. When they found out we were leaving, they became very rude. Hollis, Anthony, and Jill were never on the same page with their lies and would rarely tell same story/give same excuse. We left the house in good condition but were charged almost a $1000 in repairs. One being $200 in yard maintenance fees when that yard was a hot mess when we got it. I do not recommend this company. I’d do 1 stars, but they were decent in the beginning.
I have used Peerys Property Management for almost 4 years and they have been nothing but professional the entire time. They have a proven to have an excellent way of communicating issues or problems with owners and the tenants. The have assisted in everything from annual maintenance, to very involved repairs such as a roof or a HVAC. I just wish we came across these reviews before we rented with them. Now, before we start, it’s good to inform you that we always had a great tenant-owner experience: we always paid rent and bills on time, gave plenty of notice before we left a property (we’re military) and left the houses in better conditions than when they were given to us.We had a three year experience with them in the Sanford NC area.We gave one month notice of us moving and spent a week cleaning, repairing and making sure everything was working properly (aside for the microwave which broke down soon after we got in and was never fixed/replaced by them).By the time we were done the house looked cleaner and in better shape than it was at the beginning.We left on February 5ft and agreed on paying the partial rent, but an automated payment of the full month was emitted by our bank for a clerical error and guess what?They’re now refusing to give us back thoseMoney plus the security deposit!On top of all this, the morning of the inspection, the agent Miss R., was more than an hour late to the appointment, didn’t apologize nor say hi, barely acknowledge us and kept her irritating attitude up the whole time because probably she couldn’t find anything to contest us, oh wait, she later complained about some DUST ON A CEILING FAN, definitely NOT worth our $1300 deposit and extra $1300 month payment.Now on here I found they also mistreat homeowners! A “business” like this deserves to sink, the only way it stays afloat is by playing on people being new to the area and being in quick need of a roof. They basically exploit the military community with no respect for all the sacrifices and tribulations we go through to make a buck. Calling them slimy scammers would be a compliment. Steer away from them.UPDATE!After posting this same piece on their Facebook page they took down every single review (mostly negative) and completely disabled them.A pretty pathetic move that says a lot about their business ethics.Sucks for you that there are serious websites that don’t allow you to censor people’s voice and hide your wrongdoings.
Ive rented from Peerys Property twice and have only received excellent service from them. Hollis and Anthony are extremely professional and wonderful people to work with until now. Kayla, Hollis daughter-in-law is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was out of town and she threatened to evict me if I was not available that week for an inspection. After leaving the property and going to the office to check on my deposit, Kayla again was unprofessional and even yelled at me because I told her I preferred to speak with Hollis to get clear fact than from her, after I was given different information from her than what Hollis told me. I would never rent from this company again.
Currenlty Renting: Having issues through Anthony (property manager), doesn’t return Emails or left messages. It takes getting him on the phone or in person to get answers.. Understandably it’s that time of the year.. But to try and make excuses for not responding over the course of 3 WEEKS W/ MESSAGES EVERYOTHER DAY or admit to forgetting our recycling bin was stolen.. Its Very unprofessional, and they need to go over better time management or get a larger staff to spread th work load.Happy Hectic Holidays
Not sure where to place the blame. Our roof was damaged during the hurricane on 9/14. Now, almost a month later and the slow moving progress on the status of the repairs was being blamed on the homeowner not providing the money to do so. We have black mold in our kitchen, the roof is caving in, the fireplace destroyed and leaks at the slightest rain storm. I am disappointed in the sense we signed a 2 year lease August 8th and now less than 2 months later *rent paid super early each month for the next* we still have the same issues we had the week after the hurricane. Wood rotted siding. Have been met with every excuse in the book as to why they havent started repairs... First it was homeowners wouldnt give money, then all the contractors are full or not responding back. Today my AC went out, and my kid is home sick with asthma and a fever.... Ive asked for my money back and to break this lease. She has been hospitalized twice since the hurricane due to the home being the way it is.....How stupid I was to move into a house I thought was going to be a home for my girls and I. The whole purpose of signing a 2 year lease was to give my daughters some stability and save enough to buy. Very disappointed. Once Im done here I wont ever rent from this company again. While I will say it may just be the homeowners and the hands of the property management tied, Ive learned my lesson renting with a property management company. UPDATE: I forgot to post this and then had to run out. I came home to a leaking fridge too. Such a disappointment.UPDATE 10.10.18: today the hvac guy came out to replace my AC. While I’m still not 100% happy, it’s a start. So thank you.
Lease was up on July 1, it is now July 31st, no notice regarding security deposit, no return of the security deposit. Said they sent it June 26th and I could either continue waiting for the money they are legally obligated to return to me in 30 days or I could pay $36 fee....I upheld everything on my end and yet I have to pay a fee. Garbage.
I was discriminated against either for being black or a single parent. Appt was scheduled for a 10 am Fri morning I was shown the property and wanted it all I was told by Hollis was to come to office put in my app at a $40 fee and within 24 hours everything should come back which I did around noon that same day. Well first thing Monday morning at 8 Hollis contacted me and told me someone put a binder on the property and it was no longer available. Really??? How from Friday afternoon to Monday morning when you open the property was taken?? No the property was taken already Friday and you still choose to take my $40 instead of communicating someone else was interested and processes for the property already. I felt completely hustled out my money and this is a so called professional business! Bull carp ! Everyone beware from the scam artists at Hollis Perry Rentals please spend your time and money elsewhere!! I repeat do not give them your business !!!
We rented a home at 106 Crystal Spring Drive, Sanford, NC 28390. The owners and property management left us without ac upstairs for 70 days in the summer! They also left us with a rotten unsafe deck for months! They did not offer us any compensation and continued to take our full rent check every month. We terminated lease early and they wanted us to be held responsible for the remainder of the lease.Save yourself a headache and rent with someone else!Search Peery’s Property Management in Facebook and check out my full review of them. Hands down the worst property management I have dealt with in 17 years of military life. We rented from them for 2 years and had nothing but problems. Repairs were not done in a timely manner after we called them on numerous occasions. They were unable to keep the mandatory lawn care on schedule so we had the HOA called on us 2 different times during our stay. At the end of our lease they did not provide an estimate of repairs after the walk through as Anthony said they would. He just charged us $200 to patch a screw hole from a TV mount and a door seal. Im sorry i didnt get this written before the new tennant moved in, it may have saved them some pain.
Two stars because of Beautiful properties. However, very slow response to maintenance issues!! Two months to change the water filter to the fridge and the dishwasher as been down for a month now! Inconvenient and frustrating!

If you are looking for a highly professional property management organization, then Peerys Property Management is it. Having owned multiple rental properties in Fayetteville NC for over 30 years, I have experienced several property management companies. I have been using Peerys Property Management for over 10 years and can state with complete confidence that they are the best! They are prompt in their payments, property maintenance and response to my questions. If a renter is late in paying their rent, the late fee is paid to me the property owner, it is not kept by the property management company. Each property is inpected and evaluated every 6 months and I am provided a report. Their approach to property maintenance is focused on maintaining the property resale/rental value. Their knowledge and experience concerning property upgrades and repairs is invaluable since they also own properties in Fayetteville. I am provided a monthly financial report for each property and year end financial reports that easily transfer to my tax forms. This is a family owned business that thinks like property owners and is highly focused on customer satisfaction.

We just rented with Anthony DeMinon for two years, we just moved out and we are soo sad to leave. This Property Management company is excellent, upon looking for a place we came to PPM and they allowed us to see the property that we searched on the internet and upon seeing the property we were not sold right away, Peery took us to another property and we fell in love. We just moved out after two years and are sad to go!! Any repairs that we had to make were more than done without hassle and in a timely manor, we never had any kind of miscommunication with rent or the lease as all rules where put out ahead of time. Communication from us to the PPM to the Homeowner was exceptional! Any questions that we had and all comments we needed to relay back to the homeowner were communicated effectively and thoroughly. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone renting in the area!! Thank you PPM!!
My wife scheduled a 4:30 PM showing on Sunday July 19th, 2015 off Crutchfield Dr. in Cameron, NC the showing agent never arrived. We waited 10 minutes and attempted to call, but their automated telephone system provided no way to get in touch with a real person. This is unfortunate for the homeowners, as they lost a potential tenant and indicative of a complete lack of professionalism and respect towards potential renters. Well take our business elsewhere.
