Ran over a hammer my kids left in the yard and thought I bent the blades on my riding mower. Loaded it up and grabbed some new blades. Took it down to Jones Small Engine Repair and they said the blades were fine. Turns out the deck was bent in a bit and they hammered it out for me. They didn’t charge me for their time and they were very helpful. I’ll definitely be going back for any other services on any of my mowers.

This is truly a great company. I took my mower there for a carburetor issue and Mr. Jones, who was extremely busy, took the time to clean my carburetor out and even adjust the main jet. This took about 30 mins while he was also working on other customers items as well as mine. He did not charge me either. I did have to get a new carburetor which AGAIN, he was extremely busy and fit me in but made it happen. His staff is extremely knowledgeable and if you need any mower repairs, tuneups, or anything, then this is the absolute #1 place to go!

Where do I start? SMH! This company (the owner) picked up my riding lawnmower the first week of April 2021. He stated it would take 30 days to turn around a Tune-up. Tracking, cool. Did not receive any updates communication from the company. I called the company several times the First week of May 2021 and left a message, no response! (Red Flag #1). I went on vacation the week of 10 March 2021, returned 15 March 2021 and contacted the company 17 March 2021. The representative stated, my lawnmower was scheduled for delivery on 19 March 2021. Well, 19 March come.....9am, 11am, 12pm, no phone call from the company (Red Flag#2). I contacted the owner and he apologized and stated, they did not get to my lawnmower yet (Red Flag #3)! He explained a large order came in from Ft Bragg and had a short turnaround to get them out for their Spring Cleaning (really, so screw me and my work order). He stated, he would get it on the rack and get it to me by end of day 20 Mar, no later than 9am 21 Mar, Promise! (Red Flag#4)....lol. Well, this is how it played out. Well, im sure by now, even you (the reader) know I did not get my lawn mower, nor a phone call from this company. I called the owner around 10:30am on 21 March on the status of my lawnmower. His response, we are loading it up now and it will be there within the hour (At this point no more Red Flags, just simply BS!). About 20 minutes later, the owner called me back and stated, Sir, you will need a new battery, your mover will not crank. Are you kidding me? Wouldnt you know that during the Tune-up? Finally received my lawnmower back on 21 Mar 2021, around 12:30pm. When the owner delivered my mower, I asked the owner, do you feel as if you provided quality Customer Service? He looked at me as if I had something growing out the top of my head and started providing every excuse his mind could conjure up.IN SUMMARY, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! JONES SMALL ENGINE PROVIDES SUB-STANDARD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WILL NEVER SEE MY BUSINESS AGAIN!!!!!! Hopefully, others heed the warning of this review!!!!

This is what I take of this place now, place a mantis tiller for about 2mths and it was not looked at for repair because the person said they are are doing the lawnmower, but my tiller had to be in there before some of the lawnmower so picked it up, there were 3 people in the shop one working and 2 not working. Just my 2cent is one could have been working on weed eater, tillers etc. Thanks for nothing.

I had a fantastic experience here! Brought my pushmower in cause I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. They had it fixed in 15 min while I waited. They are so professional and helpful and nice. They explained what the problem was, which I really appreciate, and told me how to maintain the mower better. They also sharpened the blades and changed the oil right there! The prices are amazing! I’m definitely coming back when I need any other repairs. Seriously this place is the best! They are even open on Saturday.

Ive been going to Jones Small Engine Repair for well over a decade. The staff is always prepared to answer questions in a friendly, well broken down manner. The prices are likely the best in town. Ive had major repairs done and had the cost come in at less than half of what Id expected. They also know more than the tech support people at Troy-bilt. I had a question about the belt Troy-bilt sent and Mr. Jones was able to answer immediately. Troy-bilt dont know their own products, but Jones Small Engine Repair seems to know everything. Never had a bad experience, service is generally quick for the amount of work they do. Ive always been satisfied with their work.

My generator hadnt been used for almost 1 year and due to my own fault, the carburetor was clogged. Dropped it off in early Aug. Mae was up front and said they may have it for a month due to a high workload. When they found out hurricane Dorian shifted and may hit NC, they shifted all focus to getting all generators fixed asap. They are GREAT people, personable, friendly, caring and customer driven. I called for an update on a Thursday and on Saturday morning it was ready. The price is MORE than fair ($29). I cranked up the generator and it sounded just as good as the day I bought it. I have been coming to this place since the early 90s. They have fixed my kerosene heater and my pressure washer. This time I was disappointed. I left my pressure washer there with three nozzles in the holder. Still brand, now I have left them in there last year when I turned it in and they were still there when I picked up. This time nozzles were missing when I picked up this morning. The excuse was they couldnt find any. The individual I was dealing with gave me some old used ones. My point is I trusted this place for so long and I get done like this. So now Im In Lowes and got to spend 33.00 dollars and change to replace. I wont be going back there any more. It was about trust. Trust was broken.....

These people are the best at what they do. The Lady at the front desk is very nice and totally willing to go above and beyond. The guys in the back what can I say but damn they are awesome and friendly as they come. I’m so glad I found this place I will never take my mower anywhere else but here. Very good customer service, but very slow because of their heavy work load. Charge was high $70.83, this money could have gone towards a new mower. I would have expected a call to authorize charges over $50.00.

I found Jones Small Engine Repair after doing a google search of pressure washer repair in the Fayetteville area. I tried to use my pressure, A craftsman, washer this year after it had been sitting in my garage unused for a little over a year. I put new gas in it, checked the oil and tried to start it. Nothing. I got on you tube and looked for videos on repairs. I was quickly overwhelmed and worried Id do more damage to my pressure washer if I tried to fix it myself. I took it to Jones Small Engine repair and they had it fixed in a couple of days. The fee was extremely reasonable, the work was great. They even showed me how to prevent this in the future. I never thought Id have a mechanic show me to prevent having to bring my equipment in for repairs. Being a widow I sometimes worry that Ill be taken advantage of when I take things in for repairs. This was not the case with Jones Small Engine Repair. I will be using them for years to come and have already recommended them to several people. If you want good, honest, fair, hard working people to fix your engine this is the place to go! Thank you!

Recently I had my riding and push mower in for a spring tune up and had to retrieve them before a medical procedure and soon after departure, serviced or not. Mae got things into gear and said they could have my mowers fixed and delivered the next day as I didnt want my wife trying to handle them while I was out. Delivery by Jones went smooth, very good customer service is experienced at this shop. Highly recommend them for your repair needs, you wont find better service in Fayetteville.

They had parts for my mower I could not find any where else, and their prices were as cheap or less than buying online! Staff was helpful and got me the right parts to have my mower running again. I will come back anytime I need parts, and tell anyone who asks, to get their parts there.

Took in a Briggs & Stratton engine Push Mower which wasnt running well due to too much oil.... they had me in and out in less than 15 minutes with the engine running smoothly. VERY Fair (low) cost repair!! I brought in my own spark plug - no problem. I feel that the technician knew exactly what the problem was because of his wealth of experience. The office manager, May, knows her stuff and was delightful!Im impressed and would highly recommend them.

Brought my Honda push mower in thinking Id have to drop it off for at least a few days. When I told them it just needed a belt put back on and the blades sharpened, they did it while I waited. Also discovered the air filter needed replacing. I was probably there a total of ten minutes. They took care of me the right way - especially since there is a 5 week repair wait right now. They could have easily turned me away or just made me wait five weeks for something that only took 10 minutes. This will be the only place I bring my mower from now on.
