When I first moved to NC I was looking for a new local insurance agency to handle our house and auto policies, I found Callahan and Rice and I am so glad I did!!We have policies through Erie Insurance and the rates are incredible!! I myself am an insurance agent and I dont even have insurance through the company I worked for! When clients would call me for quotes or when our rates increased, I would always tell them to call Callahan and Rice!I unfortunately had to file a comprehensive claim for a windshield replacement on my brand new vehicle (less than 1000 miles at time of incident) and thanks to my Erie policy I have an endorsement that will always replace parts with OEM verses aftermarket that the rest of the companies require.. The only exception is if you have a brand new car USAA will replace with OEM for the first two years of the vehicles life, so the vehicle was built January 2018, you buy July 2018, wreck is March 2020, youre getting aftermarket even though you havent owned it two years.. So having Erie who will always put OEM parts on my vehicle is amazing!!Today I called to update my banking information and Joella is always so pleasant when answering the phone and quickly gets you where you need to go!!Jennifer Horne is my account manager and is amazing to work with! The agent that I worked with (Kyle) provided exceptional service. He was very mindful of the fact that I couldnt take personal calls at work and was fine communicating via email and text. He found auto and home owners insurance policies with Erie that saved me a LOT of money compared to what Id been paying with USAA (who I had been with 12 years) while keeping the same coverage. Within a week or so of getting the new policy, I needed to add a new car (probably just over an hour before closing time) and he was able to get the insurance information to me to provide the lender in less than 30 minutes.
