There is no way I would move to this place again. The pools is always dirty, the appliances are in bad conditions and when you move-in they start asking for payments they didnt tell you when you signed the lease. The neighbors do not respect others and there is nobody to help you with this problems. Do not trust in this people or move in here if you want to have a quiet and nice live.
I’m a two time resident here at Tamarack on the Lake Apartments. I first lived here from 2016 to 2017 and my experience was so great I returned as a resident in 2019. Being a military widow I have moved more times than I care to remember and Sandra Holland is BY FAR the BEST Property Manager I have had the pleasure of working with. She is always pleasant and willing to accommodate in any way she can. The property, both the buildings and the grounds are always maintained and look great. Any issues are taken care of promptly. If you are looking for a great place to live that is affordable, safe, quiet, well maintained, and has excellent office staff then Tamarack on The Lake Apartments is the place for you. Give Sandra a call so you can enjoy the great experience I’ve had.
My wife and I absolutely love it here!! We have been here since 6/9/18 and we find this place amazing!! They treat you great and they definitely make you feel like you can live in this community for a long time. The staff in the office work with you on so many levelsSandra Holland is amazing she is the property manager and Juanita Parker is amazing and she is the assistant manager .Maintenance is wonderful and the emergency line really works they actually call to see what’s wrong. When we first arrived we had some problems with our apartment and they fixed in a timely manner!!The amenities are great!! I do Wish the pool was open all year around so we wouldn’t have to pay some where else to use a community pool that would be a plus!!On top of everything they are LGBTQ friendly and they don’t discriminate against anyone. They definitely work hard to keep the community safe and the residents safe as well. The grounds are always clean and the grass is always cut.I would love if they had a gate when you enter for the community for more protection! If your a drama free and respectful person and looking for the same this is the place .
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The apartments are not worth even half of what they are charging rent for. The construction of these buildings are very bare minimum and you are never respected as a valued tenant when a problem arises and management is notified. Its always noisy and I would not wish this place on my worst enemy. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
From the beginning, I had professional and timely service from the Assistant Property Manager. I was moving into the area for the first time from across the country and they replied promptly to my inquiries. They got me set up smoothly with all the paperwork. Additionally, they were available for any questions I had along the way. They care about the residents. It’s a nice area and a quiet neighborhood. Also, it’s pet friendly!
Just moved in a little over 2 months ago. I transitioned from out of town so Mrs. Sandra has been so helpful getting me acquainted with Fayetteville. I am close to 295, shopping, dining and everything really. Lots of storage space, a lot of parking, love the wood burning fireplaces and cant wait to check out more.
I am a new tenant and I had a wonderful experience with Ms. Juanita during my application process. Always pleasant, knowledgeable of the complex and the amenities and willing to help in any way that she can. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a home to live here.
Over the weekend my master bedroom experienced a leak from the upstairs water heater. Maintenance was phenomenal in stoping the issue. But now me and my wife have to live in a mold infested apartment, I spoke with the landlord and they insisted this issue would be resolved with a date TBD and that their was no further mitigation they could do for us I also asked if rent could be compensated due to my master bedroom being inoperable or a possible move and I was given very generic sorry their is nothing we can do for you . I have to pay the same rent and live in this stinky, smelly destroyed apartment until this gets resolved. This is unacceptable and not how you treat your tenants. Especially during a pandemic.
I have lived in Tamarack on the Lake apartments back in 2001 and 2011. I am back stationed at Fort Bragg and this is my 3rd time staying in Tamarack on the Lake apartments. I have never had a complaint all these years because the staff made it easy past and present. I want to point out that Ms. Juanita Parker is remarkable and very caring. She helped me with getting my apartment while I was still stationed in Fort Lee Virginia. I acquired about an apartment 3 months prior to moving back to the Fayetteville area and she was just amazing from the time I called in April 2020 until my move in date of 6 July. I would recommend Tamarack to anyone.
I would like to give thanks to the management staff (especially Ms. Juanita Parker) for their courtesy and professionalism. I was able to complete my application virtually through their hard work. I moved into my apartment on June 15, 2020. The apartment had been professionally cleaned and is very spacious. I am especially happy with the screened in patio.
Never have a had a more pleasant experience finding an apartment than i had working with Ms. Holland. very kind and helpful. no to mention i got a great deal on my two bdrm with a fireplace and private balcony. i couldnt be more pleased.
Mrs Juanita Parker and her partner were both amazing they made our move In that much more comfortable. They worked diligently to ensure that any issues that we encountered were resolved with both urgency and commitment to our individual needs.
I had just moved here from California and needed to find an apartment quick. I’m so thankful and beyond satisfied with the help of Miss Juanita Parker. She was able to squeeze me in for an apartment viewing on the same day I called. I was taken aback by her selfless sacrifice when she offered to stay an hour after her shift just to help me apply for the apartment. She could have easily told me to come back the next day but she was willing to sacrifice her time to help me get an apartment. I am happy to say that I was approved and am happily living at Tamarack on the Lake. Love the staff and the community here! WONDERFUL! Thank you Miss Juanita Parker! My wife, 6 month old daughter and I are grateful for your kindness and all of your help.
I am extremely happy and overwhelmed with the wonderful customer service Ms. Juanita Parker provided for me. She is beyond wonderful!!! 💞
First of all I’ve been here 3yrs, and I absolutely love this place. The staff is very kind, the property manager is amazing! and easy to talk to! Maintenance are terrific and efficient. The complex is very peaceful and quite! I have no complaints and would highly recommend these apartments to family and friends.
Affordable rent for some nice apartments. The staff is generally very likeable and helpful. The apartment includes a pool for tenants, which is always a positive, and a gym. That being said be wary of getting any sort of deliveries if you decide to rent here. With affordable rent comes tenants of questionable moral character. After talking to the local USPS I was told this area was bad for stolen packages. Perhaps if the Apartment Complex installed either dummy or real security cameras on the breezeways of the apartments it could serve as a deterrent.
Very respectful staff and office employees. Military friendly and very helpful when it comes to getting information. Close to three gates to post and apartments are very clean. Pet owners are respectful and noise isnt too loud
Juanita is amazing help me a lot in the process for my apartment super helpful
This place is absolutely amazing!!! The staff is incredible, maintenance is on point, & the area is absolutely wonderful! It is affordable, clean, quite, & an all around perfect spot! The best part is the thickness of the walls. Your neighbors could be playing rather loud music, & you can barely hear it at all! I definitely will recommend this place to many of my friends, & family!
The office staff & maintenance group are both great, whether it be getting work orders done in a timely manner, assisting with any issues or concerns you may have, or the professionalism they output. Overall I am very pleased with my apartment and living here.
I have been a resident since 2011. Great staff. Great environment. Huge apartment. Affordable rent.
I ve lived here since 2013. I currently live in a smaller 2 bedroom apartment then I did when I first moved here. I was loosing a roommate and needed to save money and get a smaller apartment. I thought I would have to move but when I explained my situation to the girls office they let me know that I was able to move into smaller apartment and save money :) The girls in the office and maintenance staff do an awesome job. I hate moving and hope to find a house within the next couple years. I have recommended these apartment to several co workers looking to move.
This place is amazing. Its close to everything within Fayetteville. The staff and management are an amazing team who helped me with a good move in date and a flexible lease. Most other apartments cost $200-$300 more for the same amount of rooms and Square feet. I would highly reccomend this place to anyone! One of the things I love about this place is a screened balcony. If I know anyone thats looking for a place I will definitely tell them about Tamarack on the lake!
I love to stay here. The staff are very friendly and caring. I have made life time friends with some of the staff and residents. It is well kept and a peaceful place to stay.
AMAZING STAFF!!! Relocating is usually dreadful for most right?! So much to do and not enough time in the day it seems like but the one thing during our relocation process this time was the ease of getting our apartment set up and moving in. Sandra and Juanita are just beyond amazing at resident care and services! If you are like my partner and I we are from the city and we expect things to be a battle or tug of war when dealing with things we have had no issues with this property (correction if we’ve had any issues they are resolved before we even realize they are substantial). I am just truly blown away by the level of resident care and professionalism we have experienced. You will too trust me!Update:Almost 2 years later we have relocated I would love to keep the property at a 5 star review but so much has changed from the noise, the disrespectful children, to the inconsiderate neighbors (simply pick up after your dogs and consider the noise you make at 2 a.m.). Sandra is still very attentive (Ms. Juanita relocated and we truly missed her) but it seems hard to do with little resources. We appreciated our time at this property but they are in need of a serious renovation and resident reform.
I lived here for several years, I find that the manager and staff here are very nice and caring. Always ready to help you, l love went I put in a work ouder its taking care of in a timely manner, Everyone is very friendly, its just a very nice place to live. And our cube house is just beautiful, I was able to celebrate my 60th Birthday dinner here at the cube house, it was very nice and the staff was on hand to help. I also enjoy our pool its kept so clean. My grands loves the play area. Its just a nice place to call home.
Juanita did so amazing making the transition for my family guiding us in every step to making it a home for my family!
This apartment complex was extremely polite, helpful, and knowledgeable on basically every question I had.It was a very smooth process I think I held myself up more than the staff.I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone confused on looking for a place to stay.
The staff are very welcoming and nice. So happy I chose this place.
This place is not worth it... at all!!!! They enter your apt without giving you a heads up, and give maybe two seconds to answer the door before they just use the key to walk in. No joking or lying they just come in when they feel like actually fixing something. I had a bug problem, and went to the office and the darker hair girl asked me if I really wanted the exterminator to come out to my apt since the weather was getting cooler. Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!? If they include that service I should get it when asked. And she never sent the exterminator out to the apt! I dont know how many times Ive asked for things to get fixed and nothing happens. Yes, this is a military gets town and yes people move all the time. But lets be realistic and smart. If it is a military move those giant moving vans are the ones that do the moving, not the soldier. And you will see movers bring stuff into an apt and soldiers moving out. This place is not worth it!!!! The staff is rude and incompetent. Just spend an extra $100-200 to live an place that will fix things that request, and are not always trying to take your money. Yes... this place tried to charge me money for a mass fee amount of dog poop on the premises. This place is not worth it!!!!
We have lived here for 8 months and absolutely hate it. I guess they take the you get what you pay for seriously. I dont mind the old cabinets and how old the complex is, but I do mind having at least working utilities. The staff here is awful. Very rude. We had a pot in the oven one night cooking chicken and went to check on it to see how much longer it needed to cook. The stove got so hot it cracked the pot right in half. We emailed the office to have someone at least come and check the stove because clearly it was getting hotter than suppose to but the email I got back said Sucks. happens to me all the time. The next night we cooked a pizza and it caught on fire in the stove. I was furious. I was also 48 weeks pregnant, God forbid our baby was here.We also JUST had a baby so were getting packages almost every week. As many of you know its hard having a newborn with your husband at work all day. On top of it were in the process of PCSING out of the country. You would think if they recieced a package and they felt it was sitting in their office for so long they would kindly bring it over to your apartment. But nope! We got a very rude email that said if we dont pick it up its getting sent back to the sender. Its hard keeping up with our mail, alone trying to grab a package. We never have time to check our emails either. This is a very kind community and our neighbors have been very nice to us. But as far as staff, I wish there were kinder words I could give them.
Staff was great but living there... not so much. First month we hadnt even begun to live there yet. We had paid our deposit for gas already but for some reason the first months gas bill was a little over $300. Which didnt make sense because if we werent living there who was using the gas? Come to find out they have gas leaks that dont get fixed until later and we end up having to pay for it. In the summer our air conditioner broke every month. Our thermostat always read the highest number it could which is 90 degrees F. Trying to get someone to resolve the problem for good was like pulling teeth. The maintenance man might as well had lived at my place. Same with the heat. I couldnt get the heat to work in the winter. Finally a new maintenance man told me most of their units are old and outdated and they had no intention of upgrading them. Lastly they have employees that enter your place without a notice. I started noticing that little things would be out of place (not taken just moved). I figured it had to be someone coming in my house. When someone has to come in while you are away they just use a key from the office and lock your door when they are done but they are supposed to let you know. So i tested it out. I left my door unlocked when I went to work and when i came back home the door was locked and again things were moved around. Like they were looking through my things trying to find something. Living here was a ripoff. Like I said great staff just not an ideal place to live for the price.
Sandra and the crew are very professional and great to work with!Dave Central Wholesalers
In general the people here are very rude and inconsiderate its a lot of drama its dog poop everywhere, you got people shooting other people doors down there are alot of fights and it disgust me there are a few respectful people here and one of the is Mr.Bill and the other maintenance.and Ms.waneda
I would first like to start out by saying the staff are extremely rude and instigative. Enough about that. When I first moved to this complex, I had to argue with the neighbors about a handicap space (I am handicap), from that point I have went through the lake of fire and back. I have had two cameras missing out of my apartment, and was told by management, that they were offended when I brought it to their attention. No one has a key to my apartment but them. The next thing I would like to bring up is. I was in my home undressed, when my alarm went off. I threw something on and ran to the door, when I got there, maintenance was at the door trying to shut off the alarm and get his key out the door. I asked him why he was there, he showed me a work order from two weeks prior where the neighbors above me had let their dog urine on the balcony, so he was coming to check if they had cleaned it up good. Mind you this is the same neighbor (military) that got upset with me and told me he had a broke back, when I when I asked him to please stop parking in the handicap space (works everyday in the military). To continue, I told the guy everything was ok and that I was not dressed. He swore that he had knocked, funny thing is, nothing was on, not a TV or anything, and if I heard the very low alarm why wouldnt I hear his knock. Never mind that, why did he now yell maintenance when he did get in. Of course this was just enough drama for management, for them to total disregard my complaint, and tell me that had a right to come into my home any time they got ready.Tamarack On the Lake, is a Tomahawk on the Lake. I would not refer my enemy to this place. The only experience that I can see that the staff has had is maybe in a prison camp, because this is how they treat their paying customers. Also I pay my rent online to avoid them, and their unpleasantries, regardless of how many time I decide I want to add to the account their is a 15 dollar fee each time. Funny thing is Im told and after reading past reviews at one time it was worst. I cant imagine. This is how they treat their paying customers, that pay their wages. What is this world coming too.
Complete trash. I highly don’t recommend moving here AT ALL. I had an encounter with the most disrespectful human beings as neighbors. They allowed their residents to do and sell drugs while living here. The maintenance is slow and unreliable.
Just move here love my apartment!! Awesome staff, love the amenities !
Ive lived here four months, which is nothing compared to how long some people have been here. I take it as a good sign that people dont want to leave after they move in. I read all the comments below me and found that theyre all at least a year old, so I dont know if changes have been made, but most of them (except Pamelas!) are completely opposite to my experience.First, the phase II apartments are huge! Theyve got high ceilings, and a good-sized screen patio and storage room. The storage room has electricity and a light! Its true that a huge percent of the residents here are military. I think this is a benefit. Its easy to get to post and BAH more than covers the rent. Ive always felt really safe and have spoken to others who moved here particularly because it was safer than their last home. Its set back in a residential area, but is still really close to Rosehill Rd, which gets you basically anywhere you need to go - post, Ramsey St, Skibo Rd....The area is totally bike-able and walk-able.There are multiple school buses that come by here; my only experience is the one that goes to Westarea Elementary. The bus driver is exceptional. She learns all the kids names and recognizes the parents. Shell wait at the stop sign if someone is running up the hill to catch the bus. She seats all the younger kids up front and will tell new kids when its their stop. These people are doing the best that they can and I think theyre doing pretty good. The management recognized me by sight after the first day. They have always worked with me and will make calls to the exterminator, neighbors, maintenance, etc. before I even leave the office. The office staff is always friendly and follow up with me. And the office is open on Saturdays! This is a huge relief for people that work 8-5 every weekday.Yes - things break because it is cheap housing. You get what you pay for. There is a reason they require property insurance to rent. There is a no-security-deposit option and rent can be paid online.Ive always had prompt maintenance. The maintenance are all people Id invite over and have a beer with. The main guy really knows what hes talking about and is always the first to make conversation - asking how my family is and joking around with us. My daughter adores him. Hes given me so many tips and always reminds me to let him know if there is anything that comes up. He works 24 hours on call and lives in the building next to mine.Oh, and Ive always gotten knocks with Maintenance called out. The only time that I havent been able to get to the door before they came in was when I called out, Come on in! Considering we just got done with an inspection and the general maintenance havoc of moving in, they have been around a lot.Neighbors have been very nice. Many people will start chatting with you when youre walking around the place and wha-la! Youve made a friend. Lots of grass, and picnic tables with barbecues are provided on the property. The playground is surrounded by a wall, which I like because then my kid isnt running away without me knowing it. The speed bumps really work - people dont speed in this parking lot! There is always an open parking space close to our apartment. There is a lot of dog poop, but that isnt the managements fault. And clearly when they try to enforce it, people get upset and complain on Google. The only salespeople Ive met are the door-to-door meat salesmen. They dont come a lot and are always considerate and dont push; they leave as soon as you say no. The post lady brings packages right to our door and if were not home, leaves them at the office. As long as you come in with a positive attitude, you should have a good experience here. I feel like theres a general recognition that everyone is only human and everyone has a ton to do all the time (residents and staff). Everyone has been very understanding and accepting. I personally think my friends living elsewhere are getting ripped off, haha. I would choose to live here again.
Great place to stay
Great and very quite complex
GOOD place to live in
