Ive always really liked this Party City. I went there on a weekday afternoon. It wasnt too busy and staff was friendly and helpful. However, staff was not wearing masks and in this pandemic with so many patrons that descend on this store, I would have felt much more comfortable with my shopping experience had.they been wearing masks...and I dont mean Halloween masks! Otherwise, this shop has most everything you need for a party and,.as usual, was fun to visit!

I ordered something for same day in store pick up. Plus side it was ready in less than the estimated 2 hours. However when I arrived to pick up at the designated pick up area as directed in the email I received none of the employees acknowledged or helped me. I had been waiting over 10 minutes and about 3 employees has passed by me without saying anything. I understand coming back from a break or being busy but a simple well be right with you or have you been helped? would have been nice. I work in customer service so the service I received today by this store was frustrating. I know alot of places are short staffed or busier than usual but that doesnt mean good or even decent customer service should be thrown out the window. I ended up going through the aisle and purchasing another product similar to the product I ordered. I understand I could have done that to begin with but I wanted to try the in store pick up for the first time and to make sure I got my product.

I came here on a Friday afternoon and it was a very busy day for them. The girl assisting me was very patient with me. I came to pick up balloons for my friends sons birthday and tried making decisions on which balloons to get. Went back and forth to inflate or not and ended up inflating all of them. Walked out spending $78 on about 10-12 balloons and luckily fit in my truck! Lol. Before I drive off, I had to double check I got all the balloons I paid for and luckily I did because I forgot one! When I went back in, I brought the receipt with me just in case, and the line was so long down the aisle way... I had to sort of shout to the girl who was busy and told her She forgot to give me one of the balloons and she was very apologetic about it. When I got home, one of the foil balloons lost a lot of air and deflated, which I was upset about because it wasn’t cheap! But in the end, the girl assisting me was very patient even tho it took me 2 hours to figure out which ones to get! So it was fine! :)

Well stocked and super friendly and helpful staff. I was able to give my 6 year old nephew an unforgettable birthday even during a pandemic. Thank you Party City.

Half the store is empty, inventory was terrible. Ended up going to FFX instead to find what we needed. Online shopping to view inventory didnt inspire confidence. When we asked for balloons in brown, black and green, they said they didnt have any unless we ordered a pre-mixed set. Pretty disappointing.

The store itself is okay and I found everything I needed for a birthday event, but none of the sales associates there are trained at customer service. This one girl was very nice to offer a discount, then she confirmed multiple times that I would be able to blow up the balloons I bought in store for free. I wasn’t expecting it to be free, but I did end up having to pay when I went back the next day. That’s fine, but don’t adamantly confirm something you are unsure of with a customer.

Went to this Party City for the first time to pick up some Eid Mubarak themed envelops since the ones close to me in Ashburn ran out. I placed a curbside pick and it was quick. However, when I looked inside the bag it was the wrong item. Went inside the store to look for help and no one was there to assist. Finally found a guy on the floor and he said that he knows for sure they are out of stock of the envelops and offered me for refund. I hesitantly said no and left the store. Checked on the phone for the stock and it says they are still in stock. Went back in the store to look for them by myself and lo and behold they are hanging there plenty of them. I went back to that guy and told him they are in stock. Never coming back to this store.

Extensive collection of colored flatware for parties. All the other locations were totally out.

Very annoying experience. Ordered curbside pickup but was on a crunch for time so I went to the store before they texted me it was ready. They proceeded to have me wait (about 20 min for a 30 second transaction) for the manager who NEVER CAME. I continued to wait until I spoke with a clerk that actually knew what she was doing and asked for my order number. Once she put it in the system, she told me I was good to go. I will not be returning here for anything. That is for CERTAIN.

Terrible quality and ridiculous price. I got several items for a new year party. The horns didnt make any sound. The glow stick poped open and the liquid inside splashed all over my face and burn my eyes. Thanks goodness it didnt happen to the kids but me. Never again!

Utter rip off. $1.99 to fill an 18 inch balloon with helium. OK, fine. But $7.99 for anything even slightly bigger. $7.99!!! What really annoys me is that I bought a pack of 8 balloons of 18 inch size from Amazon to the store to be filled. The person serving told me there were only 6 in the pack. I assumed Amazon had made a mistake and pulled 2 other balloons out of a pack I had also bought from Amazon. They were bigger than 18 inches. Slightly. I looked at the receipt later. She had charged me for 8 of the 18 inch balloons (and to be fair I was handed 8 balloons) but why knowingly charge me for 8 and claim there are only 6, making me fill larger, more expensive balloons at 4 times the price??

My boyfriend and I bought a big ballon for his moms 50th birthday and the ballon had a hole. We never left the store they didnt want to exchange it. Made our experience horrible. Very unprofessional never coming back. WASTE OF OUR TIME MONEY!!

Staffs were friendly. They even played with the dog.

They have everything your looking for with whatever event youre planning. Came here on Halloween and despite a shortage in items they still had what I was looking for. On top of that you can order online and pickup on the store. Great location.

Do not shop at this Party City. I placed an online order for pickup of balloons for my nephew’s birthday. When I arrived they were not ready, although I had an email saying they were, and I arrived at my scheduled pick up time. I was then informed they did not have two of the balloons I ordered - I did not receive any notification of this or I would have changed the whole order. I was then told to go pay for my replacement balloons with no confirmation that I hadn’t been charged for the original unavailable items. Then when I asked for my last two balloons, the manager told me I was wrong. I literally had to pull up my confirmation email as well as my bank statement so she could see the charges. She argued with me about what I had or had not paid for (even though her claims made no sense as amounts didn’t match what she claimed). I asked them to cancel the last two balloons - which she was now asking me to pay for (I already had) since they cost more online to get them inflated - although at this point we clearly weren’t dealing with an online order any more. When I said I no longer wanted them, no one could provide proof that that part of the order was cancelled. It is absolutely unacceptable how I was spoken to by the manager and her decision to mistrust me when I had bank statements and emails confirming what I was saying. Absolutely no apology at all - horrid customer service by the person in charge.

Used curbside pickup for my two orders and even though they were clearly busy, an employee answered the phone right away and I didn’t wait long for them to bring out my items! Great customer service during the pandemic.

Im currently calling just to see if an item is in stock before driving to store because I live 30 mins away. Instead of someone helping me. They put me on hold for a very long time. No only that, They hung up on me. I called back twice just trying to get help but they keep picking up the phone and hanging up. I will like to speak with management .

For the most part, its not a hard place to miss. I went there for some balloon for some balloons and the associate the assisted me was nice and friendly. He was also able to get the job done in a quick and efficient manner.

They didn’t have my 9 red balloons ready and then lied and told me she put them in the bag when she clearly didn’t and then tried to rob me by charging for inflation when I already paid for everything online, lastly not 1 single employee had a smile on their face they all looked depressed stay away from Baileys Crossroads location they are thief’s and lazy!

Chaos inside. Staff are not helpful at all. Ordered online pick up with specific time but no one inside can pull out the order and not willing to help, instead told us to cancell it. Sounded upset and looks and sounded to me its our fault despite showing them the confirmation email.

Huge stock of party items. But purchasing in-store wasnt a happy experience for me. I checked on the availability of a party balloon by phone. Was told it was in stock. When I turned up a sales associate searched for it in vain. Wanted it for my granddaughters birthday so I was NOT a happy camper.

Need to update their system better. We ordered a costume but when we went to pick up, it was unavailable. We wasted so much time waiting for costumes that werent even available

The selection wasnt great but it could have been due to the pandemic were in. There were several people in line for balloons and the system seems a bit strange with stepoing away and paying for balloons once youve already waited in line to have them blown up and then going back to see where you are in que. People were getting angry.

This is a party city like most others, pretty self explanatory. Though I dont know for sure, I presume their inventory is similar regardless of which store you go to.That said, the service is lackluster and unprofessional.I came here to rent a tank of helium for Valentines day. It took me over ten minutes before they could get me the tank at the register even though I called several hours ahead of time to make sure theyd have one prepared for me. They require you sign paperwork certifying the rental and return of equipment but when I asked to get the form as I waited, cashier sent me to another associate who didnt know. In the end I had to go to three employees before getting the form to fill out. Once I finally got the tank and filled the form, took them another ten or so minutes to mark it in their records and process the payment, mind you I paid cash with exact change.Upon my returning of the tank, again the employees seemed uninterested as if I was disturbing their social time. When I went to get my deposit, they didnt have the cash at the register. I paid the $150 deposit in cash when I rented it and asked if theyd have the cash when I came back. Sure enough, when I came to return it, it took the cashier way too long to realize they didnt have enough cash in the register and ask a manager to bring cash. The process of bringing back the helium tank, officiating the rental contract, and recuperating my deposit took over 30 minutes, it should only have taken 5 minutes.Overall, they have the party equipment at this location is as youd expect, but the service is disappointing which is why Id recommend avoiding this store if you can, service hassles arent worth it.

So happy to find a party City everywhere and awesome today as we celebrate a graduation with our son in our hotel and we want to make it look super festive. Thank you for being open!

Very organized

The service at the balloons area is terrible I order a few dozen balloons I asked if I could wait for them the young woman said it would take 15 minutes. I was fine with that so I was waiting after 20 minutes I went to pick up the balloons the young woman saw me and at that moment began to inflate the balloons. It took me 45 minutes to get the balloons. She was very slow and busy have a conversation with her coworker. Not once acknowledge me waiting not even to saying sorry for the delay no customer service.

This place is so unorganized. I am picking up balloons and they arent even taking names for the orders. They are no clear lines and they are messing up orders and popping balloons. I would have been better off going to the dollar tree.

The employees have no sense of urgency. They move extremely slow and are not knowledgeable with store products. I did curbside pickup and waited outside for 15 minutes, nobody came to help me. What’s the point in having curbside if you have to go inside to pick it up?

Pretty standard Party City thats well stocked and the staff are usually very friendly and helpful. Parking isnt usually an issue since the adjacent stores dont seem to generate much foot traffic.

Much better than the Party Depot. Better selection of party items. They also give a bigger military discount

Weve never needed gaudy, disposable party supplies, but weve certainly shopped for costumes--or the makings of a costume here--more years than not, before I vowed never to subject us to this depressing place of futility, ever again. Theres not really a great selection of costumes, even if you go well in advance (of Halloween or whatever), and if you dont go well in advance, you may as well forget its a fluorescent-lit, super-crowded, loud and depressing place. The employees arent even nice or more than very, very minimally unhelpful--but, then again, it cant be very fun working in a dreary costume/party shop in an ugly strip mall--and maybe there are some employees who are great. I cant recall ever finding a decent costume in the right size--or even the makings of a costume.I say: be creative and make a costume in any way you reasonably can--better yet (unless youre not sewing a simple ghost costume or getting kitty ears, tail, face paint for whiskers, etc., at Target)--just, I suppose, shop Amazon.

Place is good on regular days but on holidays the place is crazy. merchandise on the floor. not really organized. They should prepare better for rush season. otherwise its a typical Party City store. quite a variety of stuff. I really like how they have sections for every occasion (bachelor and bachelorette partys, birthdays, newborn favors, Halloween costumes, party accessories... pretty much all occasions), though the quality of some of this stuff is really cheap and still you pay a relatively high price for the merchandise.

Wasnt the best experience unfortunately. The cashier was very polite but the store itself seems very disorganized and employees seem not to communicate with each other. Placed an online order to pick up in person and it took forever for them to retrieve it. Will probably try a different party city the next time and hope for a better outcome

I am disgusted with my shopping experience today at Party City, 5522 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22041.I am a 45 year old man. I am an Army Veteran. I am also on medication for a temporary medical condition and I am carrying a prescription and bottle of water with me so I can take my pills if I need them. I was wearing a very small camel back bag that carries my cell phone, wallet, keys, bottle of water, and my medication, and this packs it almost full. I was denied entry to the story by a teenager wearing a security. He told me I can not wear a back pack into the store. I explained it was not a back pack and that he could look in my bag, that was not acceptable. I needed to walk back to my car to then return to the store without my water and medication. I spent 50 dollars today and have spent 50 to 100 dollars every year for Halloween. This unsatisfactory experience will now have me shop at Walmart and Amazon for future party items. What disgusts me most is that I was one of three men shopping there today with the rest of the adults being women. Each woman was carrying a purse or larger bag and was not hassled at the door. That is discriminatory behavior to deny my ability to carry a small bag with my personal items in it when you do not put the same restrictions on the women that were there at the same time.

This a fairly healthy stocked party store. You can get items for kids and adults birthdays, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, holiday parties. They have a full array of all types of balloons. You can get pretty much most party supplies that you would be looking for here. They also have cards, bags, etc so can be one stop shop.

On a Sunday afternoon only one cashier 20 people in line, 6 employees at the balloon counter and the cashier they have up is taking 15 min per guest. They need better deployment

Very Rude and unprofessional young staff . I decided to leave after 4 people I asked for help for what Im looking for was rude and unhelpful. I went inside in a good mood its my daughter 17th birthday. After seeing rude,unhappy and unhelpful people I left the store feeling unhappy too Ive never experienced something like this ? Never going back there !!

Good shop but some small and delicate items are either broken or old. Their staff onsite are very helpful when I was looking for an item which was not in its proper shelf. Their online shop is pretty good though. Their pick-up service is fast. I think it is better to order online as the selection and stock of goods are better organised. Though some people would like to see the actual products themselves like what I did before I placed my orders online.

Its been at the location for a very long time. The store is large and had a great stock. If you cant find it there, then theres no need in looking elsewhere.

So I bought a Scream costume and it was perfect! But then I wanted to accesorize and I bought a voice changer, but I got home and put brand new batteries and it doesn’t work!!! I tried calling them but nobody answers, very disappointed! :(

I came here for valentines and it was amazing they had so many balloon options plus they had great deals, they lines were long but the staff knew how to handle it . Overall, I would like to come back soon i had a great experience.

Although they didnt have my costume at this particular store they did have it at another store. Customer service was great today.

Great place for party decorations for Christmas event

I was standing at the invitation table to make my son invitation and the coworker was I don’t of me inflating the balloon and I was trying te get help and no one would help me then the manger come and tell me that I have to send them a email of what I want the invitation so she can order it on Monday I wanted so long for nothing plus they don’t Evan have birthday invitation only wedding. NEVER COMING TO THIS STORE !!

This probably has everything you’re looking for to prepare for a party. I marked it down because of the cramped space around the checkout area, the tiny push trolley and not very friendly staff. Thus the overall shopping experience isn’t enjoyable.

Was overcharged 2x and had to wait 73hrs to get my money refunded back. Find better Management and isle stockers. The store was a mess and the cashier was either need it just didnt care about her job

This store is ran by what I assume to be teenagers and or adults who lack the simplest clue about customer services. I literally had to listen to employees discuss their plans about what they were doing after work before I could be assisted.

Went for the .99 cent Brunson burners. The check out person charged me 1.39 each (I had 12). I said, excuse me the sign said .99 cent each. She says, oh yeah, I saw that sign earlier...mmmm. Always check your receipts and ask questions.

Great place for Halloween and for other party activities. They have a huge selection

I brought in 18 balloons to have blown up for my daughters bday party. The staff at Party City said it was $4.99 to blow up each balloon. Thats close to $100! Thats absolutely outrageous and ridiculous. I left and took the balloons to the local Safeway grocery store and they blew up the 18 balloons for $18.00.

You can find amazing things in Party City some stuff is high and some stuff is low but its amazing to go in and find your costume and all the accessories that go with it
