This location is great! I love the flexibility and savings with the buzzy pass. The staff is very friendly with parents and children! I love how great they care about the children. They clean the play area very often and very sufficient. The option of making a reservation online or simple walking in is great! My boys enjoy coming here and cant get enough of Busy π
We really enjoyed spending the day at busy bees in fairfax. It was the perfect outing for my little one, especially with the heat and cicadas outside. They close every hour and a half to clean the entire space for a half hour. The entire play area is odder and safe so there is no fear of your little one getting hurt. We bought the package of five visits and are looking forward to coming again soon.
We just hosted my kidsβ birthday there and it was a huge hit! Vanessa and all of the staff were very responsive and very sweet. They made everything easy for us and they answered my answers I a timely fashion and gave me great tips for decoration and catering. My kids and their friends talk about Busybees to this day!
We met up here with friends for our first post vaccine play date and it was wonderful. Felt clean and safe and not at all overwhelming. My little one had a blast with all the different equipment to climb and play with. Would definitely come back
THIS IS WONDERFUL PLACE TO BRING, YOUR KIDS. VERYYYY CLEAN, PLEASANT EMPLOYEES AND VERY CLOSE TO EVERY LOCATION
The play area is okay but quite small for the number of kids allowed in & not suitable if you have younger kids and older siblings (there is a height restriction). Just be aware that payment options are limited to card only - no contactless Apple/Google Pay (which isnβt ideal if you are trying to limit touching wallets/card scanners, pens etc). Obviously no cash accepted.Do the waiver before arriving or you have to type on a communal computer to input those details (which I think they clean regularly).
Busy bees is a fun place for a very limited age range... maybe 2-4.I like how they only allow kids 48 and under, but older kids would probably get bored pretty quickly anyway. The features are fun but there just isnt a lot and its small. For younger kids - say under age 2 - I would say skip it until they are older. The main picture pretty much captures everything. They have a couple of moving climb-on areas toward the front and an elevated space toward the back with a balloon room on one side and a blow up bouncy space with a blow up slide on the other side. Thats pretty much it. Under the balloon room is a padded area for little ones with a few blow up shapes and not much else. There is nothing except seating under the other elevated area.My 4 year old had fun running around for about an hour and a half. My 2 year old got bored pretty quickly. Overall it was fun but there are better places out there for the price.
My son love this place so much. We are definitely coming back.
First time taking my kids here. Its was really a great place especially for kid with autism.
Great play area for children and they often have date nights where parents can drop the kids off for a couple hours. It gets busy sometimes especially when they have parties going on in the back but that doesnβt interfere with the kids; kids donβt care about that stuff anyways because all they want to do is play.
Decided to pass by with my kid and it was a pleasant visit! Vanessa was very kind and exceeded excellent service for my first time here, my kid enjoyed it. Definitely will be stopping by again with this pandemic going on I realized that this location is a very clean kept environment, thank you guys!
Drove 3 hours to visit busy bees today and after prepaying in advanced and explaining to the attendant my husbandβs situation, she still did not let him in. My son (3.5 years old) was so upset about his dad not being able to play with us that I had to leave within 2 minutes. Attendant was nowhere in sight, didnβt even offer an apology or if we needed anything. Iβm very upset about the entire situation. Equipment looked old but working condition. I wish we could have experienced what we were all excited about.
Good place for the kids very fun for them to play in
This place is pretty awesome. It costs $15 and you can stay all day. It is clean, well maintained, and a ton of fun for the little kids. The staff is courteous and respectful, and the limit the number of kids allowed in deference to COVID. A great deal for a scalding or rainy day
Great place for smaller kids to run around and enjoy! Itβs a clean and welcoming environment where you kids will just cut loose and enjoy being kids. They have a cleaning break half way through the day for extra Covid precaution. Very well run! Please support this local business!
Our 4yo son is a huge fan of Busy Bees, so we decided to throw his birthday party here. We rented out the space after hours, and it was the best birthday party weβve had! So much space for the kids AND adults - everyone really enjoyed themselves! The best part, outside of the clean and wonderful play space, were the employees! We had two employees to help with the party and they were unbelievable. They took everything out of our cars, made the party room look great, served all the kids, cleaned everything up, and truly ran everything seamlessly and professionally. HIGHLY recommend.
Friendly staff and great place for kids between 2 and 8 years
The cutest place ever! Took my almost 1 year old and she loved it. Absolutely everything is padded which is perfect since my little one doesnt walk yet. They also have some tables outside the play area for snack. Love the decor.
Best place for kids to play.
Absolutely love this place!!!! So clean and so safe. Its the only place I feel comfortable letting my 1 year old, who recently started walking, to roam freely and not get hurt. Everythings kept clean and sanitized. Highly highly recommend this great place.
It was awesome! I booked a private party for my sons 2nd Birthday. The young lady Sophia and her Partner this evening were just perfect in every way and were consummate professionals. Everybody had a great time!
A cute quaint place for children to exert some energy. Geared towards the younger aged crowds. The oldest Id say is 7 and under and that is pushing it. To my knowledge they dont have an age limit but any older and children may just get bored. They offer a waist level desk space that separates the kids from adults but allows you to be close to monitor them at all times. The desktop is great to either study while the kids are playing, reading, whatever your vice. I witnessed many users using the space to eat snacks which is good for the little ones to take a second to breathe. For those with multiple children where the young ones may fall asleep they offer little hammock pods. I definitely utilized one while there. M eldest continued to play and I had no screaming tired baby. Loved it!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!Especially with the COVID experience the ladies who worked on 7/4/2020 cleaned and sanitized non-stop and continued to ensure everyones safety.Customer service was outstanding and they both were well versed about the Busy Bee Buisness.
Not well organized, was the first and last time I take my child there, terrible experience.
They do not accommodate all people, they discriminate against customers that have a medical condition and are not able to wear a mask.
Both my daughter and I loved this place so much! Its beyond awesome. One of my favorite things is the room with a fan and huge ball sized balloons floating/bouncing around. It looks and feels as though it is out of some fairy tale and it is also nice to be able to cool down with the fans blowing.
A fun place for kids to play. Definitely smaller than I anticipate so can get crowded quick and hard to move around if youre in there with your kids. Not a lot of seating for parents if its busy. Overall kids had fun but would hate to go when super crazy. They do have a max and will hold off on entries.
This place itβs absolutely disgusting and the people that work there are extremely rude and unprofessional. They are supposed to be cleaning every 30 minutes or so and they never do so. People in the area should consider other places to bring their kids. Donβt fall for a place where even the owner is a racist that hates black people! Be aware!
It is okay place. Staff wasnt very friendly and a party coordinator was very rude on the phone. When asked for a discount she yelled at me instead of just nicely explaining it that the option wasnt available at that time.
It was a great place for kids to go and play in closed in area. Small but well planned out. My only complaint is they need to hire someone personable! On 03/31/17, the lady in charge never smiled, did not greet anyone friendly and acted like she didnt even want to be there. Did not say goodbye or come again.π
Its fine. Kids seem to have fun. But every time (5 or 6 times with kids school parties) we go there someone gets sick. Not sure if its bad luck or cleanliness.
This place was so clean and nice when it first opened a few years ago. Just brought my youngest back and its dirty and things are falling apart. Its a cute idea, but not maintained well. Theres tape on the bouncy part and one of the blocks on the baby area is falling apart leaving foam all over (which my 11 mo old tried to eat). The floor and climbing structure were dirty. Its nice that babies are free but we wont be coming back once we need to pay.
Weve visited twice now. Very clean and organized. My 3 year old could play here all day. Its a little small to me, but to my toddler its huge! Lots of things to keep the little ones going. Mine does not get bored here! Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
We had such an amazing experience today--we threw our daughters third birthday here. Natalia did such an amazing job customizing the theme and decorating the room. The facilities are really clean, and the space is big enough for the kids to wear themselves out, but small enough that adults can stand and talk to each other with their children easily in sight. I would highly recommend. It was the most stress-free party I have thrown in a while.
A clean and convenient place for bday parties. Excellent and helpful staff.
This specific location I dislike, First off I brought my daughter on the exact day she turned one so they charged full price. However, The day we went she couldnβt walk only crawl so there was nothing for her to do. We were only there less than 10 minutes. There was also no AC and it was too much for my daughter. So, I asked for a refund and I got told no refunds. I left and accepted the credit. About a week ago I went to the fairfax corner location to redeem my credit because at this one I was told I could use it anywhere. They didnβt accept my credit and made me pay full. I then called this location to speak with a manager and got no call back. Yet the manager at fairfax corner was quick to call her employee when my payment didnβt go through all the way due to a chip malfunction. Just terrible customer service/hospitality. Me owning a business like this I would of done the right thing but not everyone thinks the same! So before you go make sure your little ones can walk & climb because there is not much to do for kids who really canβt walk/climb yet...As well remember no refunds, and credit can only be used at that location. I highly still do recommend Fairfax corner and Bethesda the most.
Yesterday was my daughters 4th birthday which we celebrated here with around 20 plus guests.Kids had fun playing around the set up which has a good ambience I would say making it attractive for the kids. But from a service perspective it was the most disruptive hosting we got from the staff out there specially to call out Vanessa who has been recruited to work in the wrong industry. She not only insulted our young guests who were slightly over the height limitations which firstly was never informed to us when we booked the place. She deliberately fought with me and my husband and pushed one of our guests out from the arena which made it a very embarrassing act for us as they were our honorable guests. The staff is very rude to kids so if you are planning for a party out there make sure you dont let them especially Vanessa offend your guests.Only the venue is worth the money.
Very impressed with the staff, genuinely caring people and invested in getting to know who comes to their facilities. My daughter loves playing here and could last all day! We will be coming here for a very long just because of the effort and kindness the staff has shown... we have not seen this at other childrens play places. Youre kids will love it and just the overall great environment they provide, you will too!
There is a young Lady there named Mia who was so patient and friendly with the kids and she even cleaned vomit after a child had gotten sick!!! World class humility and customer service!
Way smaller than the Chevy Chase location. Ants were everywhere in the shoe/bag are when we came in and we were the first ones there. Also, you have to have the 2 for 1 person come in with you at the exact same time. This is really inconvenient when meeting friends with toddlers.
UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!!!DO NOT INVITE ANYONE OVER 4 FEET TO YOUR PARTY!!!Place is good only for toddlers. Donβt invite anyone taller than 4 feet to your party. Highly unprofessional staff and management. They never take the pain to walk you through the policies or height restrictions. Very rude staff, especially a lady named Vanessa and the manager. They could have handled the young guests better in a polite way. But their staff members were out there to quarrel and spoil our party mood. I doubt any of our guest will ever plan a party at that place though they liked the ambience. Probably a staff rejigger will help this place.
Small. Clean. I can very easily keep,an eye on my child and bring my laptop to do work. Are appropriate and safe for my 2 year old.
Just the right size to run your kids to sleep, but not too big to lose track of them.
Disappointed. In the pictures it shows a lot of things for the kids to do but in reality its very small. Within 5 minutes my daughters had already played with the whole space. On top of all the price was ridiculous and they dont go by what the website says. When I got there she told me it was only certain days they go by that price.
Clean and nice place for the kids to have some fun indoor.
Very cute, clean and fun place for the little ones. Parent and child need to wear socks and matching bands for safety. I recommend this place, specially for very hot or cold days.
Nice place, clean. Good for 5 years and younger... parents can be inside with their kids or sit and work on their laptops while seeing their kid play.
I love this place. My LO was 9 months when I first brought her and we have now gone several times and continue to schedule time to go. It is clean and I like that it is padded very well. We have never had any injuries or upset while there. The staff are nice and friendly.
While my active, strong, coordinated 3yo thoroughly enjoyed the balloon loft, slides and climbing house, Im not sure Ill be back. I believe max capacity is 30ish kids (another mother said 50), which is way too many for safety and comfort. There is no way that many kids can play safely. While we were there 10 kids and caregivers were playing - it was just the right amount of kids (the actual play space of the is pretty small, half the size of my small Arlington backyard). Customer service was okay, not great. Be careful - they forgot to engage the child locks on the overpriced snack cabinet. I offered to pay 2.12 for a small package of goldfish that my child opened and cant eat because of allergies. They happily took my money. In summary, I may go back when I can be assured is an uncrowded, very slow day and will bring my own snack.
We were there for a birthday party. I slipped on the stairs and twisted my ankle. None of the staff members had noticed I had fallen. A friend had seen me fall and alerted my husband who then alerted the staff. It took the staff 20min to get me ice wrapped in a plastic bag. I understand I signed a waiver as you have to, but the gym should maintain a sophisticated first aid kit with heat packs and ice packs, etc. I expected the staff to do more. I was there with two kids. The material that the entire play area is covered in, may be soft, but its extremely slippery especially when wearing socks. It is not safe. May be if there werent any stairs.
This place is great! My 2 year old son goes there every week and always has fun with the staff and equipment- a lifesaver on bad weather days! Looking forward to holding a party there as it seems an ideal location.
This place is fantastic! I took my 16 month old and the environment was challenging, stimulating, and safe. I loved that most everything was padded so she could fall freely as she explored, different areas were somewhat confined so kids could settle into the space, and there were enough different attractions that it was stimulating for a long time but not overwhelming. I appreciated that some parents of more stable kids were watching from the Wi-Fi cafe close by... someday. Overall, a great spot for little ones to learn, grow, climb, explore. It was entirely clean and well maintained.
We went to Falls Church location for the first time today (Saturday) but DID NOT allow our children to play. First off, the place was very very tiny. The pictures are pretty deceptive. It was EXTREMELY crowded and smelled foul! Also, it seemed like they did not have a limit as to how many children can enter the play area at a time or a set time limit for play. The equipment looked very dingy and dirty, so I would assume they donβt clean and sanitize the play space daily. I would give 0 stars, but Google would not let me. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. You are better off taking your kids to an open public playground and saving yourself $15.
Went there today with my 15 month olds. Not really a place for kids under 3. It is quite expensive $15 a child but they do let you have in and out privileges and they give a sibling discount of $3. The staffing was interesting...We went in the morning and there were at least 3 staff members I could see. Two on the floor and one at the register. The staff member at the register was not friendly at all. It seemed like she was bothered by our presence. The other two ladies who were on the floor were very helpful at keeping the place running smoothly. We decided to go home, nap and returned around 4 pm. A COMPLETELY different place. There was one staff member running the whole place and she was a bit frazzled. There were people not wearing socks, adults on the equipment and kids taking the balloons out of the balloon area. These were all things that were the rules in the morning. I have no idea if any of the equipment was cleaned--as they claim they do throughout the day.I was curious about Busy Bees and I am glad we went. However we wont return. This place could be really, really awesome but sadly its just not.
No air conditioning, small, crowded, over priced, unsupervised kids... Id rather spend the 5 extra bucks and go to one of the much more pleasant indoor toddler play spaces!
The facility is great. Well located within a shopping district. However, this place is full of sick kids. You see signs posted everywhere about parents being responsible and keeping sick kids home but you see staff letting kids with obvious running nose and cough come right through. If you dont enforce the policy, dont advertise it online. We made an hour trip to give my child the experience. Ended up going home and getting the entire household sick, including an infant. Wont be visiting this place again.
Fun for an every now and then visit but really geared towards kids 3 and up, Iβd say as there are significant portions of the play area that adults canβt access to keep close to littler ones.
I think its a nice place my daughter always enjoys it I just wish they stayed open a bit later 7pm would be ideal so after work I could catch it. Also I wished they had a less expensive option if you are only coming in for 1 hour.
This playground is hideous. The smallest most boring playground worth a dime in the country. Its all white, one tiny slide, one tent with air blowing while balloons are flying. All plastic. Residential Building playgrounds are 10 times better and FREE. If youre looking for great playgrounds where you and your kids will have a blast, you can go to kids plaza or Chibis. Satisfaction guaranteed and admission is $10 unlike this failure charges $15
Decent size for the indoor play area, clean place and nice staff.
Smaller than the Chevy Chase location. The kids still had fun!
My daughter (age 22 months) seemed a bit young for this place. Maybe its better for a 3 or 4yo?Overview:- There is a small area with a few small stackable vinyl shapes. This was too young for my daughter, and it seemed to need more stackable materials (there were only about 10).- There is a little area filled with balloons and surrounded by fans that keep the balloons flying all around. This is something I hadnt seen anywhere else and my daughter loved it! She spent about 20 minutes chasing the balloons around.- There is a small elevated area with a clear plastic inflated floor, like a bouncy castle you can see through. After crossing the floor, there is a way for kids to slide down to the main floor. It looked like this would be great fun for slightly older kids.- The rest of the space consists of small, slowly moving jungle-gym-like structures. My daughter will climb on similar structures at the playground, but seemed unsure of what to do with these, probably because theyre moving. Again, a slightly older kid (even just by a few months) might like them better.Pros: The whole space is beautiful and the staff clearly keep everything very clean. The balloon room is unique.Cons: This space is fairly small and the price of admissions ($15 when we went) seemed a bit steep. Also, its only open until 5pm (at least on the weekdays).
We love coming here. My 2 year old loves this place.
Fun for an hour at most. They still charge for 1 year old siblings, but I wouldnt recommend bringing anyone under 2, specially if there are more than a couple kids already there.
My 1 year Old loved it!.. Great Time
Small, but when my 2.5 year old has a friend they were entertained for hours!
Nice place for kids to be physically active and enjoy. You can bring in lunch there too!!
Unique place for kids. It is a great option. Location is clean and have a great atmosphere.
Great spot if you have the kids solo for a day, kids cant get out without a parent, so managing two kids by yourself seems more manageable.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! My oldest daughter is 7 years old she was waiting for us in The waiting room, she is skinny and she sat in the cocoons chairs, a woman came and rudely told Her to not sit in the cocoons. She made my daughter cry, we just leave the place but if a mother have more than a toodler please dont go there, they will make your Family feel umcorfortable.
Lots of fun; usually packed on weekends and holiday, so try avoid those days
It always ends in tears when its time for the kids to leave. I guess thats a good thing?
Great place for kids. My son loves it every time we go.
Very clean, bright and kids friendly indoor playground. A bit smaller than expected.
Great space for little ones (walking - age 4)! Way too noisy to take work calls but you could work on the computer.
The stuffs arent friendly i was charged the wrong price 2 twice i wouldnt recommend this place to a friend
Great place to wear out the kids. One thing of note is that theyre credit card only; no cash.
The equipment is quite well used and in bad need of replacement, but the kiddos love it nonetheless.
Great place for kids to play and stay busy while parents hang out.
This is a great place for toddlers and for birthday parties
This playplace is pandemonium. An Understaffed overfilled hot shoebox. Signs plead with parents to stay home if they or their children are sick. Guess what 2/3 of the customers where. Give up yet?! SICK, yellow snot worms coming down kids faces, sneezing and coughing SICK. Staff dont turn them away parent dont give a @#%*! Since theyre overfilled and understaffed it becomes a very stressful event. The staff that were there were nice but just overwhelmed. I didnt see any food or drink options but you can bring your own, which is a nice option, since theyre usually overpriced anyway. $15 a kid, waiver required even if youve visited other locations.
The grandsons, 5 and 8 mos, had a great time.
I rarely leave reviews on the internet, but today I want to write one for this place. We have been to busy bees two times with my older daughter. It is a quite small place with some interesting areas for play. My daughter seemed like to enjoy flying ballons and slides. Today we went there with my daughter and a baby. The baby is 1 year old and she doesnt walk. She wouldnt have whole experience of this place. Yet the staff wanted to charge $27. I am sorry, but I do not think this is a great deal for us. Needless to say, we left the place. I was not going to shed almost 30 bucks for nothing. Instead, we went to Udvar Hazy airspace museum and enjoyed our time. My advice if you want to go there, do not bring 1 year old baby. I think it is appropriate for at least 2 years old. The Busy Bees should have some conciousness for not charging parents for babies. It is overpriced place. If we ever go, I will wait until my 2nd daughter is a little older to enjoy itll. But really after today I have a bad taste about this place.
We had a very bad experience today at Busy Bees in Falls Church. My children enjoy the play equipment, although in the past weve had some issues with overcrowding and children that appear to be beyond the age/height limit playing roughly around toddlers. Unfortunately, todays visit was the final straw and we will not be back. The manager, Vanessa, made my one year old son cry on multiple occasions by forcing me to take balloons away from him that he found and was playing with outside the balloon area (other children were doing the same and were not treated this way), and was very short with me when I tried to assist him in safely climbing the bouncy slide, resulting in my son once again in tears. The final straw was when I attempted to leave while carrying a tired, frustrated child and walking with my other child, she physically blocked the exit and held the lock on the door to prevent us from leaving until she could check arm bands. In addition, the entire place was hot, and each time I checked, there was no coffee, but three staff members standing at the register chatting with one another. We will not be returning. (Oh, and the cherry on top - I was told that the remaining visits on our pass could not be refunded because they do not issue refunds despite bad experiences.)
Its ok but only for very little kids 2-5. The bouncy house makes it dangerous.
Very clean and safe place to have kids play.
Great for kids 4 and under!
