Update the tracking details if you cannot deliver on post, this is the second time I’ve gotten my stuff returned to sender because there’s no communication from ups, ridiculous. Not only does this location not notify the recipient they have the worst hours known to man, pickup between 1030-1230? What is that. Don’t comment that generic reply either, you just copy and paste a reply instead of fixing your problems

Package “arrived”, but no attempt at delivery was made. The package was returned to sender without as much as a delivery slip or phone call. UPS didn’t even put a note on the tracking record to say why it was returned. Contrast that to FedEx who called me to ask about a better address because I mistakenly put a PO box for a FedEx order.

My son is stationed at Ft Wainwright AK. We have sent several packages and no matter what size the package is big or small the UPS store in Fairbanks charges him $30 every time he picks up what we sent. Keep in mind we have prepaid the shipping to get the package to him and whether he picks it up the day it arrives or 3 days later still a $30 charge every time. Its bad enough it cost so much to get it there but then to have him have to pay $30 to pick up an envelope? Really? So I try calling to speak to a person......thats not an option and the options they give just lead to more automation. The post office on base has limited hours (open while he is at work) so we are left with few options. I would like to think that UPS would be more accommodating to our military personnel and offer to hold a package for up to 24 hours without charging but in todays world I am not surprised. Totally disappointed and if I could give less than one star I would!!!

UPS delivery to the North Pole/Fairbanks area is absolutely infuriating. We continually get notices through our app that they attempted delivery, even though we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they never made any attempt. This happened again yesterday. When one calls the local hub, they are told that all customers must utilize the customer service through the 1-800 number for a call station at which the agents have very heavy accents- it is extremely hard to understand them, especially over the phone.I was told yesterday that I would receive a call from a UPS representative in regards to a erroneous “undeliverable” notice, by this morning and that the package would be delivered today.The man I spoke with was both smug and unhelpful, going as far as to agree that they bear no responsibility or accountability- he offered no apology and no solution.So I paid them for shipping, but they aren’t responsible to get the package to the provided address? Horrible.

I paid more than $100 to send a package overnight.from Alaska to Tn. I made multiple phone calls prior to making the arrangements to make sure it would work. It was left at store around 11am as I was on the phone with them at the time the shipment arrived. I was assured it was fine and would be picked up at 5pm for Saturday arrival, but it did not arrive on Saturday as paid for. When I checked for the problem, the shipment was delayed until Tuesday and it had the check in time as 937pm and customer service says it was not left until 937pm which is untrue. The contents were perishable and now are lost as the ice packs will not last til then. I have been a regular Fed Ex user but thought I would give UPS another chance. Failed the test. AGAIN.

I live in North Pole my pages with a value of $400+ was marked delivered and signed by EC.The packages were never delivered and didn’t require I signature. UPS took no ownership of the issue only re-directed me back to who I purchased the product to start the claim process. Back in the day you could contact the site manager and find out what happened to your items now it’s just smoke and mirrors. It’s amazing how fast they take your money but make you work to get it back. Extremely disappointed in UPS services in the North Pole/ Fairbanks AK area.

They sent my package back to sender after saying I got nothing to worry about until Thursday. When I asked the customer service to extend my pick up date they did not respond instead they sent it back two days earlier I do not like ups and I never intend to use them ever again.

Although there was an issue with the delivery the service was GREAT!! The office on Van Horn went out of their way to find, fix and help prevent future Delivery issues. I can not state in words how much their great customer service meant to me. I hope others have the same experience when they have a delivery problem.

There can be a wait at times and though the staff usually tries their best, sometimes the system can mismark a package as present when its in transit. Best to call and check before traveling.The fact there is an opportunity to pick up is nice even if it is only open for a few hours.I feel bad for these guys over the holidays. Everyone gets smiles and greetings except for postal people of any stripe.

Worst hours ever. not even remotely convenient for anyone with a job.I received a phonecall that said this has been here for a few days. could not be delivered due to emergency conditions. We didnt even have real snow until yesterday. I never got notice previously if it did come a few days ago, I should have gotten a notice then

The lady at front desk find my package without a second! Friendly and excellent service!--Would like to update the comments...Agree with others. The staffs are nice but the hours and process are really terrible. I am using PO BOX, so they always couldnt find me. Then why cant you deliver it to the post office? I believe USPS will handle it.And there is no notification to me to change the address until I checked online by myself, also there is no way to ask them hold in their office for me to pickup online. I was trying to call but found out the phone doesnt work at all. Everything is nonsense.And in fact, UPS wrongly delivered my package to my old address due to the same problem, no further confirmation and not asking for signature, it ended up with my package was stolen 3 years ago. I cant believe it happens again. I hope Apple Store, petco, etc., all big stores dont ship your merchandises by UPS anymore!!

There was a shipping error with my package in which it was sent UPS and not USPS. This was not UPS’ fault, HOWEVER, many of my attempts to contact customer service had gone unanswered and my attempts to change my address unresolved. I had gone to the UPS on Geist in hopes they may be able to help me contact the customer service center but the issue remain unresolved. After three days of no active communication being made I had to call corporate to have my address corrected. This was a simple issue that should not have been so frustrating to fix.

UPSs staff is great. Their policies of holding an item for only 5 days is ridiculous. I didnt receive notice, I was camping in the mountains-no cell service-until I returned. By that time, they sent my package back. Now Im jumping through hoops to get the item back.

What service, they dont even try to deliver this time of year instead you are forced to go to their facilities thats only open 2 hours a day 5 days a week not weekends but between the hours of 10:30am - 12:30pm if I could give them a lower rating.

My package was sitting for over 11 days at this UPS location according to the tracking. I called them finding out what the heck was going on. They sent it to Lynden transport!? I told them to find my package, and HOLD it in Fairbanks. They then set up the customer hold for Anchorage, 6 HOURS AWAY! I called back a second time, which of course they told me the package was lost and that I would have to call the company who sent me the package, as there was nothing they could do. Wow, Im still in disbelief.

Wheres the choice for zero stars?Waited a half an hour for them to tell me my package was sitting in the back somewhere, and then proceeded to tell me how they lost my package in the facility and dont know where it is. So now I have to wait for them to find it, then call me, and hope to God I can get back over here to pick it up during their 3 hours of divided business hours. This is the third time this has happened.I do not suggest using UPS at this location at all. I wouldnt wish the stress and grief that this facility causes me every time I have to deal with them on my worst enemies. Corporate needs to step in here an asses many of the operational aspects that this facility is continually failing at.Use the USPS shipping options. Itll get where it needs to go faster and cheaper and although the customer service may be shotty at times; at least you can go during normal hours and actually encounter some semblance of customer service ( unlike this UPS) store.Update: the item was in the damaged product bin. Apparently they smashed the crap out of the box and are sending back to the sender. Unfortunately, the item was a one of, and cannot be replaced and is damaged beyond repair. Not sure how that happened seeing how the item was in a wooden box that was placed inside a cardboard box, but whatever. Never using this UPS facility again, nor will I suggest my family or friends to use this facility.

I have now had three packages in a row delivered to the incorrect apartment. Very frustrating that i have to contact the call center instead of this ups, and they always say i will be called and will get an email. Both times i complained i didnt get either, and had to go knocking on my neighbors doors to find my packages. Very frustrating and very inconvenient, especially when i am 40 weeks pregnant and had to carry a pack n play back to my apartment because it was taken to the top of the next building.

After receiving a postcard to pick up a package, I drove to the local station to find it locked up tight. At 2:30 in the afternoon!! The sign over the door said to come back at 7:00 PM. REALLY!?!? Whatever package was there with be shipped back to the sender in the morning.
