EXCELLENT SERVICE. David not only solved our problem in a friendly and efficient manner, but also educated us, so that now we know how to prevent future problems. Wow!Whole story: Our car wouldn’t start, even with jumper cables, so we called AAA and within fifteen minutes, David of Ray’s Towing arrived. He was fast, professional, and explained everything he was doing. He tested our battery, showed us that it was ten years old, explained that batteries usually aren’t meant to last that long. He showed us that the battery was only producing 123 cranking amps, when 600 cranking amps are needed to start the car. He reassured us that the starter and alternator are working, we only needed to replace the battery. He explained why we weren’t able to jump start it ourselves (we weren’t doing it quite right), and how to do it next time. He quickly swapped out the battery, then showed us that the new battery was producing 800+ cranking amps.David explained that we could go to our local True Value on Willamette and get an 8-12 amp battery charger, and attach that to the battery every 4-5 months for ~90 minutes, and this will help the battery maintain its awesomeness longer. We also have a camper van, and he explained that periodically charging it like this would *especially* be a good idea for the ‘house’ battery in our camper van (which we’ve been having to replace every couple years).He asked if we had any other questions and I mentioned how recently the radio has been periodically ‘forgetting’ it’s pre-set stations; could that be related to the battery problem? He said yes, and that it will probably stop doing that now.We would recommend this company and this technician to anyone needing battery service. Most excellent. Thank you David!!

We got stuck about 20 miles outside of town on the side of the road with a dead battery. The dispatcher, Eddy, was very kind and reassuring. Text messages as to ETA were reassuring. The driver, Nick, was quite knowledgeable and thoughtful as he assessed & repaired our problem, even offering to follow us back into town in case our car stalled again. We were very grateful. Both Eddy and Nick were very friendly and professional, and we would not hesitate to use this service again!

Nick was my driver and let me say, he was SO kind! My car battery died and I was fighting with the dealership, and no one was taking me seriously, and my boyfriend had to call the dealership in order to be taken seriously and those people were just all so rude but then i call Rays Towing to get it to the auto shop and they send the NICEST person ever to help. Right before he pulled up some random guy is harassing me and then Nick pulls up and is being understanding and letting me know it’s ridiculous that guys won’t leave woman alone and then he even looked at my car to see if it could be a quick fix (it wasn’t) but he still was so helpful and super helpful at the dealership we towed it to as well. I 110% advise going here if you need a tow because they will be kind and helpful. He was the only kind person i talked to today by far!

After someone turned left Infront of me basically totaling the car I was driving. Rays arrived and started working on clearing my car fast. I called 20 min after the other driver called for a tow. It took 5 min for Rays, and over an hour for the other tow truck. The driver was friendly. And was able to advise me on the best way to handle things. I had a lot of stuff I needed to clear out. The driver said it would be safe in there secured lot. And it was well looked after when we finally got to the lot. Though the only thing unsettling was the lie supporter spouting crazy conspiracy theories about the current administration.

From the first call these people were really helpful, once I decided to go with them they were there fast, they kept me updated on how long, the tow truck driver was great, dropped the car right where we wanted it.

Rays Towing was excellent, fast and friendly. My husband locked the keys in the car and Ray’s was there for us within 15 minutes of calling. They are open 24 hr, which is very helpful and their prices were the cheapest around. I appreciated payment being taken after unlocking the car, and it was easy for payment as they accept cash or card. The tow man was also very friendly from the beginning, even with being called at 1:30am. Will mostly likely be calling again if this incident happens again.

I can’t thank rays towing enough. This morning I was trying to get my toddler buckled into his car seat and he must have accidentally locked the car. Ray’s towed my car for a much better price then I could find anywhere else. They towed it to my apartment complex and later that night I found out I could not park there🤯😵 I called Rays to have it moved around the block and into a different spot. They came right away and didn’t charge me, even though it was my fault it was in the wrong spot! Great price and people!

Yukon broke down on the day we were leaving on vacation. Thought leaving town was never going to happen. Then Rays towing showed up tapped the starter and got it started. Charged me a nominal fee and told what the problem was Bad Starter an easy fix for me. They could have easily taken the truck and charged me much more but they didn’t. Thanks so much.

The driver who I didnt get his name was SO polite, kind most honest. He had a shaved head and small goatee. We broke down in Eugene, Or and live in Battle ground Washington. If ever we get into a situation in portland Im requesting him.

Great fast service not too spendy

I was stuck in a parking lot at night with a dead battery and four small children. Not a fun situation. Called Rays. They were very polite over the phone and in person (cant say the same for the other place I tried calling). They beat their own time estimate by 20 minutes. The technician (Josh, I believe) got me on my way fast. I called Rays on an earlier occasion when my wife couldnt start her car. As it turned out there was no mechanical problem, she was just doing something wrong, and they got her going and didnt even charge us. Rays Towing richly deserves its fine reputation!

Rays towing came and helped me when I needed it. The person that helped was a awesome man named Craig. I was having a really bad day but thanks to Craig he helped me out he gave me advice to get through the day. After dropping off my car he gave me a ride home which was awesome of him do. And Craig if you see this man thanks a bunch for helping me out.

Ive used Rays Towing twice in the last few months through my AAA subscription. The first experience was great from start to finish! With the second experience there were a couple hiccups, but my concerns were met with a very proactive approach by the owner/manager. The explanation they gave about the challenges made perfect sense, and they were so responsive and took ownership of it. I was very impressed and I would happily use Rays Towing Service again!

I managed to pop two tires on my car this last week and called Rays Towing for help to get to the nearest tire company. The rep from Rays showed up within 10 minutes of my call, had my car on the tow truck in less than 5 minutes, and I was able to get to work just 45 minutes after finding the popped tire. Seriously fantastic service from them! The driver was very pleasant on the way to the tire company also and I would definitely use Rays Towing again if I need to.

These guys were really cool. My van ran out of gas, and I was in the middle of an intersection. These guys were speedy, had a solution and were super nice, above and beyond the call of duty. Would recommend because I know who I’ll call the next time I need a tow truck!

I would like to thank Rays Towing helping me with my mothers car. I called earlier during the week to make an appointment for a tow. By the time I made up my mind I had called 3 times. Each time with different questions about prices and details.The day of the tow a nice young man arrived promptly. He was very patient despite noticeably that we were not ready. Rays is the best. During Eugenes snow and ice spell, I was assisted by Dan on dispatch, who was professional, courteous and routed a technician over within about 40 minutes. This was during Lane County being on emergency services status. Terry came out, tried to jump the car and checked the starter. He advised me on how to proceed which was exactly what needed to happen. I called the next day to get my car towed to my mechanic. Dan on dispatch scheduled a technician (Vic), who arrived exactly on time. Vic double checked the battery and the starter and towed the car to my mechanic. Vic too was professional, courteous and went out of his way to ensure that everything went smoothly. I will definitely rely on Rays Towing anytime there is a need. Thank you guys; you all go above and beyond.

Vic was very courteous, efficient, informative, and careful when towing our car. After dropping off our car at the repair shop, he offered to drop us off at home. Totally not expected, but greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend Rays Towing.

Our regular tow company was tied up so we tried Rays. What a mistake! The driver showed up telling us if we didnt pay in cash, there would be a significant surcharge on our card. Of course, he said, if we could pay cash and go without a receipt, he could give us a big discount. What a crock! This guy said he gets paid by the hour, so he just overcharged us ($30 more than our regular service charges) and pocketed the cash. Hope Rays fires this loser! He made snide remarks about our vehicle and tried to pressure us into taking it to one of his mechanics, who he surely gets a kickback from. We declined. Advise against any tow service that offers a cash discount with no receipt. Skip these guys!REPLY TO OWNER: Whats not fair is having your employees behave this way when motorists are at their mercy with a disabled vehicle. We had to make a special trip to the bank to get cash so we could avoid these surcharges on our card. Would love to give you an opportunity to make this right. I understand you have been able to track our calls to the driver and dispatcher in question. You probably ought to be thanking me for my report rather than chastizing me for warning others about our experience.

They took my car to the wrong repair shop. My friend was helping me and knew where I wanted to go. He said they convinced him to take it to a better shop. I had no idea a tow company would do this sort of thing. I dont know what their agenda was with the other shop and I can only imaging. Imagine my surprise when I called my shop to find out about my car and they said it was not there at all. I was furious.

My wife left the lights on our on van and the battery was too low to start the car, it would just click. She called AAA who sent out Rays towing. When they arrived 45 minutes later they showed up, tested the battery and said it was bad and needed a new battery and didnt want to jump start the car. This car was in for service two weeks prior and had the battery tested at that time and had been fine.She requested that they jump start it any way which they did, the car started. She was then instructed to turn the car back off, to which she replied if I do the car wont restart again, being told of course cause the battery is bad. She did as instructed and the car barely restarted and then she shut it off again and the driver left. When my wife went to leave to come home 20 minutes later the car would not restart. She called AAA again, after waiting for an hour and a half and they still had not shown up I drove from Cottage Grove to north Eugene and jump started the car. After driving home we have had no more battery issues. I will not be using Rays again.

I called AAA for a car lockout; they sent Rays Towing. The driver DAMAGED the weather stripping on my car, which now LEAKS WATER into my car, causing mold and extensive water damage. I called SEVERAL TIMES to have it resolved, both with Rays Towing and AAA. Every single time I called Rays Towing, they said the person in charge isnt available and would call tomorrow. Then they said they would look at the car dash camera to look at what happened. Never hear back, because what Rays Towing would show is an incompetent young guys shoving tools into a newer vehicle, causing damage.What would have been a quick, easy weather stripping repair for the damage that Rays Towing inflicted upon my car, will now cost them a pretty penny with insurance claims for their dishonest work that caused DAMAGE TO MY CAR as well as a LAWSUIT.AAA is giving me a full refund for my years, and Rays Towing will be hit with a costly insurance payout and a losing lawsuit that will not cost them at least quadruple of the price to repair the measly weather stripping in the first place.DO NOT TRUST RAYS TOWING. THEY WILL DENY ANY LIABILITY FOR THE DAMAGE THEY DO TO YOUR CAR. DO NOT JOIN AAAUNTIL THEY CANCEL THEIR CONTRACT WITH THIS DECEITFUL COMPANY.

Have used them for years and the drivers have always been GREAT (and still are), but for the 1st time ever I had to go IN to the shop to deal with something that got damaged and the manager PAUL not only treated me with extreme disrespect but also refused to pay for/fix the damage done from them getting into the car during a lock-out... He informed me that it was just coincidence that the door sensor happened to go out at that exact moment and there was no way it could happen from them having to bend/airbag the door frame... And when I argued he told me take it to a mechanic myself and the convo was done and leave.... I wasnt upset about the damage, things happen and figured as long as they fixed it no big deal... But because of Paul they lost a life long customer and I will make sure to never send customers there way again (which has been a LOT over the years).... I would highly recommend NEVER using these people!!! As great as the drivers are you never want to have to deal with what comes with any issues that may happen.... As Ive read in previous customers unhappy reviews Im sure they will respond to this posting and say there is no way it could of happened by then and blah blah blah but simple fact is, it WAS done by them and Paul refused to handle it or even do more then open the door for a few seconds and then start making excuses and reasons why they wont fix it..... Bad business practice!
