Dr. Smith and Staff have been taking care of my smile for more than a decade. Aside from having all my preventative work done there, Ive also had the Zoom whitening multiple times & am always obsessed with the results! Their office does an amazing job at making you feel welcomed and informed on your dental health.

My husband and I moved from KS to OR 3 years ago. We found Dr. Smith via a referral from our former dentist. We both have extensive crown work so we wanted to be sure to find an OR dentist with similar accreditation as our KS dentist. From our very first visit we were confident we had found the right dentist. Dr. Smith and his entire staff are amazing. The care we receive is phenomenal. Debra, the dental hygienist is very thorough and professional. The office is run with exceptional efficiency. Give The Smile Institute a chance - you wil be very pleased!

He and his office staff have always been very friendly, yet very professional.I feel confident that he has the newest and best equipment available at all times.I consider my hygienist Debbie, to be a special friend since we have spent so much time together over the years. My teeth and gums have always been well cared for by Debbie and Dr. Smith and his dental assistant. They do not hesitate to refer me to an outside specialist if one is needed.I referred my husband to Dr. Smiths office and he referred his father! Thats how much confidence our family has in Dr. Smith!I would like to add that he always has a warm and friendly staff handling the business details of the office.I highly recommend the Smile Institute for your dental care!

Best dental care professional in Eugene. Dr. Smith answered an emergency call on a Sunday morning and met me at his office without any staff to fix the jagged edge of a porcelain crown that had broken off and was abrading and cutting into my tongue. He addressed and solved the problem swiftly and with complete success in short order, while maintaining the low-key sense of humor that is his trademark.

I have never been treated so well by any staff or Doctor from a Dentists office as I was at Richard Smiths Smile Institute. A real shout out to all the employees that have helped me not only to have an award winning smile but a genuine smile that I felt from all the caring courteous and wonderful people there! I love going to the Smile Institute and I never miss my cleaning appointments with Debbie every 6 months. The staff is super friendly and professional and make patients feel very comfortable. I recently had a little place on a tooth filled and it was done in literally minutes by Dr. Tilman, so there was no need to schedule another appointment - so convenient. I highly recommend them.

Dr Smith is an amazing Dentist. I have had several things done in the last 3 years that Dr Richard Smith took care of. He is gentle, thorough and very personal when dealing with your teeth... the sometimes scary process is made much easier.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Smith and tried two or three other dentists prior to landing with the Smile Institute. Upscale comfortable atmosphere. The most up to date modern technology is used. There are no strange hospital smells or other off-putting qualities that other dentist offices are notorious for. I started coming to Dr Smith at the Smile Institute 13 years ago. Because of a number of bad experiences I did not like any dentist. Therefore, when I arrived for the first visit I required a lot of dental work. Dr. Smith suggested nitrous oxide and other injectables so I could tolerate what needed to be done. After several visits I became so comfortable, most of the time I didnt require any medication to tolerate procedures.Dr. Smith and all his staff members are a skilled dental team. they are also down to earth warm people. I will not go anywhere else for my dental care. I recommend them to everyone I know.

I am absolutely petrified of the dentist (or I should say going to the dentist). I went to see Dr. Smith for a second opinion on some extensive dental work needed. His office is very nice, comfortable, inviting. The hygienist there told me she had been doing this for 30 years! The doctor was in the room during the entire appt. I hadnt even completed filling out my paperwork before I was called back. He was very thorough, understanding and helped ease my mind about the upcoming appts I would need. He offered me alternatives to the treatments I received in the past to help with my anxiety. Very great experience. As much as I really dont want to go back. I am thankful for having a dentist I feel I can trust and be as comfortable with as possible. I have already recommended him to a friend and will continue to do so. Highly recommend Dr. Smith and his staff.

Truly terrific. My wife and I have had a number of experiences with Dr. Smith and his great staff. First it was new teeth for both of us and he very professionally advised and fixed other issues. In the past I had to use a mouth piece due to an experience with TMJ. Dr. Smith said, well just fix your teeth so you dont need that, and he did.Just recently I had a bad tooth pop up. Because I was experiencing terrible pain he saw me the next day (could have been same day if I lived nearby), fixed my infected tooth that day and knocked out a root canal and new crown the very next day. Yes, it was a permanent crown on the same day. Technology is great and Dr. Smith stays right on top of it.Every one of his staff is a great pleasure and they do what they say theyll do.Cant recommend these guys enough.

The Smile Institute is a great place to go for your dental needs. The office is cleanly and updated and the staff is friendly and accommodating! I absolutely LOVE my hygenist - Debbie. Shes a lovely person and makes the process easy, comfortable & fun!

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with the work done at this office. I went for a cleaning and they found a cavity that needed to be filled that was next to a crown. The dr was very rough and I had pain in my mouth that required me to take time from work, see another dentist to ensure that I was not going to lose the tooth he worked on, and pain on and off for about a year. I cannot recommend this dentist.

I went to get my teeth cleaned and it was a GREAT experience. They have the most up to date equipment -believe me, I had no idea scrapping teeth was a thing of the PAST. Efficient, Effective and without any pain! Will return with my kids! Thanks!

I have never liked visiting dentists or orthodontists, attributable to the 5 1/2 years I spent with braces. Having said that, my visits to the Smile Institute have been very pleasant. I have never had to wait, the staff is courteous and professional, and I particularly like the option of listening to the music of my choice as my teeth are cleaned.My only real criticism is the somewhat silly questionnaire that asks things like, What are your dental goals for the next five years? But, I believe its part of an effort on Dr. Smiths part to go the extra mile and have a more thorough understanding of his clients. That is hard to fault.

I have been a patient of Dr. Smith, and a client of Debbie (hygienist) for over 13 years. This is the place you want to be! I am extremely pleased with their service, the staff, and the state of the art office. Most of the work is done in-house (such as root canal, crown, all xrays, imaging, etc etc). This speaks volumes about Dr. Smith (and his staffs) commitment to TOTAL dental care. I also will give high praise to the entire staffs bed side manner. I now live in Bend, but I plan to continue to make the drive over to their office, rather than start over in Bend. I am currently a patient at this practice for Invisalign. Every time I go in, I am greeted with a nice bottle of Perrier- now thats my style! The dentists both have a gentle touch and offer nitrous oxide anytime I feel nervous about anything. They are top of the line, I have never enjoyed going to the dentist until I found this hidden gem. Ive been to many dentists in my area in the past but have been with Dr. Smith and his crew for over 10 years. Dr. Smiths work is excellent, his maner is sweet and he shows care and concern for me as a patient. My hygenist is exceptional both professionally and personally. The staff are all kind, considerate, patient and helpful. It is such a gift to find such a nice group of professionals.

Debbie cleaned my teeth too and they are sparking and pristine clean now. I cannot rave enough about them. I will go nowhere else.

We first started seeing Dr. Smith when he still had an office in Springfield, which dates us to close to twenty years ago. I had had many very negative experiences with many of the local dentists in the area at that time....But when I first went to Dr. Smith, and the first time he injected novalcaine (or whatever it was he was using), I thought to myself, FINALLY!, Ive found a dentist who knows his art!.Dr. Smith has turned my lifetime of neglected teeth, gaping holes and all, into a smile that, even at 67 years of age, still attracts positive reaction.He really is the best!
