This place is great. If you have a German car... go here ESPECIALLY instead of the BMW dealership. Alexs Garage has saved me thousands of dollars in bogus recommendations and all of my cars are in good hands.

Needed a small electrical component programmed and they said they would do it and scheduled my appointment. I drove an hour for them to tell me they couldn’t actually do it. A poorly run business with seemingly zero regard or sense of responsibility for their customers. Did not get an apology.

I normally don’t do this but here is a bad review, dropped my 05 Volkswagen Jetta off about a week and a half ago 6-21-21 and they told me they would call me after they found out what was going on with it, hours later I called them for them to tell me the issues they thought it could be and an estimate of 1400 so I gave them approval to fix the problem but they found this out and never called me, I had to call them! I left town on 06-22-21 and called them on 06-28-21 to find out the progress on my car for them to tell me the car was fine and it was just the timing chain that jumped a tooth and the engine is fine and the estimate dropped to 600-800 and they needed me to approve it but yet again they had this information about my car and did not get ahold of me so I called them today on 07-01-21 for them to tell me that my car is not a priority and they can’t just drop what they are doing to fix my car, they have given me the runaround and once I get my car back I will not be going back to them!

I had a co-worker recommend this shop and I am sure glad he did. Eddy was very professional and easy to communicate with. Repair prices were in line and not excessive. If you have a mini cooper in Eugene this is the shop to take it to. Made additional recommendations but they were not pushy, didnt feel like I was jerked around. They simply took care of what was needed at this time. I highly recommend this shop, one of the best shop experiences I have had. First impressions are everything and they made a big one to me.

We went to Alex’s Garage when our Q7 started making a loud knock. They replaced a very expensive part that did not stop the knock. We reported it to them immediately that it was not resolved, and when we had enough money to make another appointment we called and the lady said “I can probably get you a break on the next install”. We did not ask for this, and the next day the owner messaged us. They treated us as if we were trying to get something for free and all we wanted was our vehicle made a priority since the issue could be a risk to drive.

Its hard to find a mechanic shop thats honest, but these guys are. I bought a car from them and they were up front about what still needed to be done on the car. (nothing major) Only shop in town to bring your car to.Very friendly too.

They did an amazing job. He listened to my concerns that other German auto places did not. He fixed my all my benzs problems and then some. Extremely knowledgeable and very nice.

If you need a Euro Indy Shop these guys are great! I’ve taken my car to them a few times now. Most recently they got my AC functioning like new and did so honestly and at a great price. They are always willing to talk in detail about my car and you can easily tell they are true enthusiasts. I have been very impressed with the professionalism and accommodations made by Alex’s staff. They solved a few minor issues in innovative ways. And did some great major work. Very understanding people. Their texting function when they are done with the diagnosis to explain the work required is great. You get to choose what they are to work on electronically (or you can call for a more detailed description to decide). They are definitely my go-to guys.

When I brought our van Grace to your shop, I reflected on how fun and reliable she used to be and that for the past 10 years or so, despite spending nearly $10k in repairs and upgrades, she just felt sick. Your mechanics went over her with a fine-toothed comb and created a prioritized list of problems. They quickly repaired the higher priority problems I elected for service, using high quality parts and constant updates and the result for the cost is impressive. Im happy to say she drives better than I thought possible. We dont drive a lot, but weve been opting to take Grace in our outings over our 17 Tundra and 13 Outback! We have made one longer trip to the Gorge with not so much as a hiccup. The leak that I had mentioned appears very slow, and Ill ask your people to look at it when we bring her in for her oil change. I look forward to continuing to restore Grace with more repairs at your garage as well as some DIY work. At this time, we couldnt be happier. Thank you!

I was brand new in Eugene, just moved from Florida, and had a noise under the hood of my 1991 350SDL Mercedes during my trip from FL to Eugene. I googled Alexs Garage while in Texas, and his reviews were outstanding. I brought my car in the 1st day in town, on a Monday, and Alex had a new alternator in the car Tuesday! Very nice guy and glad to find a mechanic who can work on these old Mercedes! It was a concern moving to start with finding a Mercedes mechanic as good as the one I left, let alone, having to find a new one emergent, but Alexs Garage is all the reviews say it is.

I had Alexs Garage do some maintenance and repairs to my 2004 Mini Cooper S about three months ago and have been very happy with the work. Eddie (the service writer) was very good to work with as I had multiple issues with the car. They did a good job diagnosing those issues and Eddie explained what was needed in detail. Once we scheduled the work, they got it done on time and it came in on target for price. THey also returned my old parts for my inspection. These guys are passionate about German cars! I will have future repairs done at Alexs Garage.

Alex is extremely helpful and conscientious. I would recommend him to anyone with a BMW with the following caveat: He is a one man shop, hell do the job or tell you why he cant if he cant. Being a one-man shop he can sometimes get backed-up. If you are expecting a dealership experience in your mechanic go elsewhere; if you are happy with a trustworthy grease monkey (meant in the best possible way), Alex will not disappoint.

Took my Mini to Alex Garage couple times, they’re professional!

These guys are great. They will not charge me more than they say they will. When I took my beloved Boxster in with a confusing problem and they couldnt diagnose it in the first hour, they called me to ask if I would approve another hour for diagnostics. After they got it diagnosed, I decided to make the repair myself to save a buck and they were completely fine with that. Another time, after I approved a repair, they found the part for $100 cheaper from a different supplier and passed on the savings to me.When you buy a German car you know maintenance is going to be more of a pain. The guys at Alexs will bend over backwards for you to make your life easier!

I went to Alexs Garage last weekend because Id finally had it with a rattling noise in my cars door that had been going on for about 5 years. Id brought my car--a Toyota Corolla--to the Toyota dealership TWICE in the past, and each time they said they either fixed the issue or couldnt reproduce it.I brought my car to Alex, and in record time he was not only able to locate the source of the issue, he fixed it! He even fit the work in last-minute as I was headed out of town the following day. Alex may be a German car specialist, but believe me when I say this guy just knows cars in general inside & out. He was smart, polite, efficient, and I would absolutely use his services in the future.

I recommended Alexs Garage to a family member to get her 2002 MINI Cooper S caught up on many small issues. They were able to find and repair a small coolant leak, oil leak and were able to fix a annoying power window issue. She also received a detailed list of other needed repairs and services to get her car back to reliable driving condition. I was glad to see they lived up to my recommendation and will tell anyone with a Mini Cooper to take it to the Mini Cooper experts at Alexs Garage.

I went to Alexs even though I dont have a German car. They were recommended to me by a friend who has a bunch of VWs, after I had been to Waynes and they told me they couldnt repair my sunroof drainage tube leak. They said Id have to go to the dealership or an upholstery shop. Untrue! Alexs took a look at my car and gave me an estimate while I waited. After I dropped it off for the repair, they kept me apprised of exactly what they were doing and how much labor would be, and even stayed under their original quote. All the guys at Alexs are really friendly and I never felt like they were going to overcharge me or try to sell me on additional repairs. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a German car!

After vetting several highly rated independent shops over a three year period, Alexs Garage has proven themselves to at least this discerning customer (and professional in the community) that they are: (1) TRANSPARENT / straight-shooters; (2) genuinely CUSTOMER-CENTERED (e.g. gladly take time to explain; courtesy shuttles; apparently obsessed with my satisfaction); and (3) just plain friendly and PLEASANT to do business with...which is a nice bonus. As an aside, I have also observed a subtle—yet significant in my book—commitment to constantly improving their business (e.g. modernized to state-of-the-art office / billing systems; upgrades to physical organization of shop / office areas). And last but certainly not least, I texted one of the mechanics one Sunday on his private cell phone (which number was provided to coordinate a prior pick up from work) and he promptly called back, provided the answers I needed, and followed up with me to make sure I was good...all on his personal time. I have never seen that ever being a possibility with any shop—ever—but somehow with Alexs Garage...it is. The level of detail this shop employs matches the level of skill I require for the finest German automobile I own. All of the foregoing characteristics—taken together—have converted a deep skeptic-by-nature -TO- a now loyal customer. My girlfriend Cee Cee and I wereTraveling to Eugene Oregon in a 1971 Westfalia VW when our motor broke down and burnt out a rod bearing we called around several places that gave us ridiculously high quotes when we called Alex is Garage Eddie answer the phone and was very helpful they gave us a very reasonable price and Alex and Eddie work tirelessly to make sure that the motor was done right so that we could make it back to San Diego the thousand mile journey. I am happy to say we made it home the engine ran great Thank you for all of your hard work. Alex was awesome. I come from california and i happen to be traveling when i encountered some problems with my bmw. I had searched for nearby mechanics but once i started to talk to Alex, his friendliness won me over. His job was to fix an oil leak. check. change the transmission (due to real bad tramission oil leak). check. and so once i went to pick my car up it was running as good as new. Its been a few weeks and no problems.He knows his german cars. He knows what he is doing.

Sent Alex a V.W. bus with a blown motor. Instead of charging me for a entire engine, Alex and his guys rebuilt the top half, saving me a thousand bucks. They also held the bus in their yard for me while I was away without charging me a cent... If your in need a mechanic that you can trust, Alex and his guys are it. I will never go elsewhere...
