Ive used Automatic Heat for years now. My current heat pump is going on 17 years, purchased from Automatic Heat. They are busy and you have to plan ahead for your service. The one time I needed something really quick, Michael got back to me and resolved my issue the very next day. Ive never had an issue of any sort. Techs are knowledgeable and have always taken the time to explain things to me and answer my questions.
We recently purchased our house which had radiant baseboard heating and we absolutely had to upgrade. We’ve heard amazing things about Automatic Heat so they were our first call. These guys did amazing! I was working from home, have a mastiff, and a cat and they treated us all extremely well. I felt so bad as the guys had to go under our tiny crawl space to install the duct work but they didn’t complain once. The team was diligent about cleaning as they went and teaching me how to use the new system. Highly recommend!!
After calling about 8 different companies, we ended up going with Automatic Heat for repairing/maintenance. Shannon was very friendly on the phone and gave me thorough information about the appointment (upfront costs, what to expect, etc.). Jobe, the Technician was fantastic. He was friendly, on time, answered all of my questions and explained all of the work he was doing. It was apparent he had been in the business for a long time and it was great that he was so familiar with geothermal units. He did not upsell me but rather gave me great tips about other options should I wish to move to another system down the road. Highly recommended.
This company is great. I previously ordered three mini-splits, one outdoor air handler unit, and other equipment accessories from Alpine Home Air Products online. The online company sent them a work order request and I was given a quote after a quick visit to my address, which was very reasonably priced!I am very pleased of the install. They even installed the drainage lines that werent included from my online purchase. They also subcontract electricians to do the electrical work that is needed for the install if you do not have an electrician in mind.The staff is very knowledgeable. The office manager told me that this kind of install could give me a rebate based on the equipment I purchased, and sure enough, I had contacted EWEB and Automatic heat worked with them to give me $800 rebate back, wow amazing! I never even realized I could even get a rebate from EWEB, so this is definitely a plus. I never had any issues with the contractors. They really did a top notch job with the install. They were able to answer all the questions I had about these systems as well. I will be using them again for sure if I need them. Thank you!
This company went above and beyond the normal call of duty while working with us on our ductless system. Zach (sales manager) and Melissa (office manager) were amazing to work with and were extremely patient with us during the process. During the bidding process they were extremely fair and once accepted they were out to install immediately. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get heating and cooling installed in their home or business.
Max came out promptly and fixed what appeared to be a complicated problem with my heating system in minutes. He was patient with my questions and extremely personable as well -- couldnt ask for more!
These people are crooks! I paid $80 to be told my unit is running surprisingly well all I needed was freon, made appt for freon and next tech came out and charged me another $80 and told me my compressor was shot! $160 paid for nothing!!!
I just had an extraordinary customer service experience with Automatic Heat. They went way over and above the line of duty to resolve a problem for me, on the weekend, using high level problem-solving to resolve my issue. I so appreciate this level of service and expertise, not so easy to come by these days. I highly recommend them!
Well I first called NW natural for a tune up they recommended them. They arrived very nice guy opened up furnace and previous contractor had not reconnected the exhaust flue there was a 4 inch gap between the opening. The guy was very concerned as well he should be, although it has been that way for 16 years. He added another flu attachment taped all up turned the gas off and electric to it and now we have no heat. They will be out on Tuesday just to give an estimate not repair. Talk about no sense of urgency, I am very disappointed we are two seniors living with our grandson and trying to heat a trilevel home with our oven. Thanks for that.
1/3/19: Daikin ductless heat pump failure again 1/2/19. Automatic Heat says not our problem. This is Automatic Heats way of retaliation for the negative review below. DO NOT USE AUTOMATIC HEAT and/or the Daikin ductless heat pump system. You will be sorry!! The president of Automatic Heat says he will no longer help us because I am mean, rude and disrespectful. Apparently, that is how he perceives this negative review. Since Automatic Heat is unable to get our ductless to function correctly, their response is to find fault with the customer. Wow!Update: 12/13/18 - Automatic Heat came out with another part replacement for the Daikin ductless system and left a trail of muddy footprints, screws, and repair debris on my floor and on my oriental rug. I requested this be cleaned on 12/11/18. No response to date.12/5/18 - I would give this review a negative 4 stars if I could. We purchased an approximately $10,000 Daikin ductless heat pump system through the EPUD utility conservation program. Automatic Heat was a recommended provider. We have had nothing but problems with the system. We spent a December through February with virtually no heat from the ductless system. After much complaining, money ($500+ - we were advised to purchase a heat pad/tray for the outside unit) and getting EPUD involved, a brand new unit was eventually installed. This November, the system started shutting itself off once again. Automatic Heat came out, charged us a $105 service call and said, we found nothing. When I got home last night, one of the large ductless units was off and it was cold in the house. We reset the unit and had heat for about 3 hours when the whole system shut down. This is ridiculous! At the time you need heat most, the Daikin system fails as does the repair company. DO NOT BUY DAIKIN AND DO NOT USE AUTOMATIC HEAT... unless you want to go through a cold winter without heat in your home. Arrggghh!!
We’ve used Automatic Heat since moving into our current home 27 years ago. We first hired them because no one else wanted to service our converted—oil to gas—furnace. After several years, we had Automatic Heat replace that furnace with an efficient gas furnace. A few years later, we had them install a ductless heat pump because we wanted air conditioning. Since then, they’ve performed regular maintenance on the furnace, the heat pump, and replaced the thermocouple on our gas hot water.I’m writing this review today because our ductless unit stopped cooling recently, so Automatic Heat sent out a serviceman named Jobe to repair it. Jobe was so courteous, knowledgeable, personable, and professional, that the next time we need Automatic Heat to send someone out for maintenance or repair, we’ll ask for him. (The fact that he obviously loved our three cats was a plus).The only time we’ve ever had problems with Automatic Heat was with the owner, Michael, relaying messages (regarding things that only he could answer) to us through his office staff instead of speaking to us himself. Unfortunately, his relayed messages sometimes led to more questions, and more relayed messages. The result of this burdensome process was that we lack confidence that Michael will be willing to work with us if we should ever have a major issue. However, the company’s prices are competitive, the office staff has nearly always treated us well, and the service personnel have invariably been excellent.
They fit us in on a packed schedule and fixed our problem efficiently. All staff was friendly and helpful.
Not a company that sticks behind the product they sell and install. General manager not truthful at all.!!
