They have the friendliest staff imaginable. My wife went here for a bridal shower and they did an amazing job. Would recommend to anyone.

I’ve been going to Sheela for 4+ years now, and she’s never done me wrong. Sometimes I go in asking for a haircut with little to no direction and she turns my hair into a masterpiece. She’s an artist/therapist/ball of sunshine. 💕

The hair stylists here are amazing. I see Ashlie Z, she really knows what shes doing when it comes to layering and coloring. Ive been here for waxing as well and the woman I saw was very knowledgeable and thorough. They always have good customer service too! The salon is kind of hidden, it took a couple passes to figure out where it was the first time. Their parking lot is small but Ive always managed to get a spot. Overall I highly recommend Ooh La Lal!

I usually dread getting a haircut but Danielle is very easy to talk to, helpful and considerate. On top of that shes pretty great at her job too! They have excellent customer service and reasonable prices (especially for the area). This is now my go-to salon.

Love the salon, it was very welcoming and at home like. Amanda is by far the BEST hair stylist I have ever been to. She does amazing cuts and color and always does what I ask. Its hard to find a stylist that actually listens to what you want and delivers 100%. This salon is exactly what Ive needed since moving to Maryland, and I love the haircut Paula gave me. (You will love her, by all means, book an appointment.) I have long, straight hair and I love it long, so I am always sad when the time comes to get it trimmed. This is primarily due to the fact that I always end up with a shorter haircut than I wanted, and I am unhappy with the result until it grows back out (and needs trimmed again--vicious cycle). Yesterday was my first experience having my hair cut in which I loved the results. I do not skimp on haircuts, so this praise isnt coming from someone who has never paid for a decent cut. I told Paula I didnt want it too short but I wanted the dead ends gone with some added layers like a picture I showed her--and it looked exactly like the picture when through. She was also very friendly and outgoing, and made me feel like Id spent time with a friend as opposed to awkwardly sitting in a chair with a stranger. Paula did an amazing job and I will definitely be a regular client from now on. Additionally, Ooh la Lal is in an incredible, beautiful old building with a fascinating history, is located in downtown Ellicott, and has its own parking so you dont have to walk from the big lot. You can even walk to lunch or dinner at the Pure Wine Cafe afterwards, or buy something new from Sweet Elizabeth Jane. This is the perfect location and salon to treat a girlfriend.

Great experience today at the salon - dropped in to see if they had any open appointments. Was seen right away. Needed a haircut (no color or anything). Was referred to Bee and gave her a basic idea of what I wanted - good healthy trim, take a lot of the weight out (I have very thick and heavy hair). She took her time and did a fantastic job. I know my hair is not easy and takes a lot of patience. She was very thourough, gave me a great haircut, and was all around lovely. I dont need to talk a lot during a hair appointment and she felt that immediately - checked in every so often to make sure she was still on target with what I wanted and asked the right questions. Great experience - would recommend Bee and I will be returning. :-)

One of the cleanest salons I have been in. The staff was extremely friendly my first time there and the decorating and flow of the shop works well with a cozy feeling. Again, keep up the good work on keeping it clean. They obviously take a second to clean in the nooks and crannies where wandering patrons eyes look while we are bored getting our hair done. Thanks for the good experience.

Anyone in need of eyelash extensions, GO TO CORRINE! She is absolutely amazing. I had booked with a different salon initially, but they ended up cancelling last minute on me. Corrine totally saved my butt, and did an absolutely beautiful job. She is going to be my go-to gal for lashes from now on.

This salon is awesome! The entire staff pampers you from the minute you walk in the door. Sheela is wonderful and Ive never been disappointed with my color or cut. Love that they offer free drop-in bang trims--so convenient! Their massages are wonderful too...

Would never go anywhere else for my lash extensions. Not only is Corrine a skilled lash technician who kills it every time, she is also a hilarious, genuine, all around great person. Love her & my extensions so much!

I have never died my hair before and I was recommend to come here by one of my friends, and I cannot tell you how much I love it! I have really long naturally black hair, and I went in for an ombré. Brittany was my stylist, after showing her a few pictures of what I wanted I let her take over from there. My hair looks so beautiful, the color was just what I wanted, and the shampoo/conditioner that they used smelled incredible. Brittany did the most wonderful job and I will defiantly be going to her anytime I need my hair done! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, it was a really warm environment. Absolutely loved it!

I moved back to the area almost 2 years ago and have been looking for a quality salon ever since. Im so glad I happened upon this place searching online and went for it! The building is quite fantastic, and I got an amazing cut from Lauren. She totally listened to me and did a wonderful job and is friendly. Im so happy and cannot recommend her more! Im so happy to say I FINALLY have a stylist I trust.

Ive been on the lookout for a new esthetician and decided to try this local place. It was a little hard to find, it sits off the road and has a wonky parking lot (though I learned later there is plenty of parking across the street). However inside it is elegant and welcoming. A well appointed waiting place is separate from the service areas, which I love. After a short wait, I was taken back to get a brazilian, eyebrow wax, eyebrow and eyelash tint. I was super happy with the service. Everything was professionally done and the esthetician was very nice, very professional, well skilled.Definitely going back, everyone there was super friendly and professional. Recommend!
