Very Good place to do exercise. I recommend.

This place is garbage. I was going to cancel my membership because most machines are old and its always filthy. Even though it was remodeled it still smells disgusting all the time. Not to mention the air vents almost caught on fire, which was why they remodeled. Called to inquire about cancelling my membership, employee stated it was ok to do so over the phone. She took my card number for the cancellation fee and said everything was done. I was never informed about a cancellation letter that had to be filled out and sent to corporate. Now months later membership was never cancelled, not even surprised. They said I shouldve known about the cancellation form because it was in the agreement I signed, which I never received either but thats my fault for not realizing how inconvenient this membership would be.

Ive been on and off with this location for a few years now and Ive never had an issue. I liked the old set up a little bit more but thats just a personal preference. Im still able to get around and use what I need to use for my workouts. Will continue to keep coming here

I currently attend a boxing gym but only monday through thursday so for Friday and Saturday i been doing my research just online i wanted to join a modern gym with neat fitness machines randomly i stopped at E.P. Fitness i was lost but this gentleman Eddie Sotomayor very proffessionally right away with a smile went ahead and helped me out he gave me a tour of everything and explained gave me very good instructions on the machinery how to use them and what each machine was for i had many questions and he briefly answered everything and clear thats very good service and i immediately openned up a membership

Overall it’s not a bad gym to workout at. They’re currently remodeling and it’s looking good. My biggest complaint would be the quality of members. It has significantly declined over the past decade.

Gym is in bad shap broken weights bent bars Bolted down benchs that are Crooked lots of kids working at the gym that dont do anything No picking up the weights no cleaning Avoid this gym at all costs theres better for the price.

Went here for a few years but recently switched. Childcare was an issue. Several times we found them leaving a bottle of bleach and other cleaners on the floor in the reach of the kids. I, and other patrons, had asked them to move them and they rolled their eyes at us. Last I saw it was still there on the floor. Also if you have to cancel your membership or have an issue, customer service suddenly disappears and stops responding to e-mails. Very unfortunate.

Worst cancelation policy ever!! following their instructions, I sent my cancelation form 30 days prior to the expiration of my contract and I have confirmation that it was received on time, however they are still charging my card for the membership.

The women who works in the morning seems to pick on me. I always rerack my weights, this time I forgot, because I was in a rush. This women couldn’t keep her eyes off me. It sounds odd that out of all this people in the gym, she kept coming and telling me to do something. I thought this gym have better stuff, but I was wrong. She was ignorant and stupid!

I want the public to be aware of this facility advertising classes in their app that they don’t offer, in addition that make it so hard to cancel membership even after contract is over.

A membership with this gym is a scam.There is an ongoing pandemic and yet you have to go into the gym in person to get a cancellation form and they charge you for the last month for processing. They would not let my husband pick up a second form to be able to cancel my membership as well so despite the pandemic I also had to go in, in person.If you do decide to get a membership here, watch out because they over charge greatly, trying to talke into paying $27/month when you can get the exact same benefits at $10/month.

Its a good gym, at a fair price. The equipment is a mix and match of a little bit of everything. Equipment is spaced out for covid-19. Lots of parking, I just wish it would be a little bit cooler in there.

I was in town temporarily, so I got a membership. Come time to leave, I tried to cancel in person and instead I have to mail in a slip and they dont cancel youre membership for another 30 days ago they can charge you again.

Do not trust them. Horrible accounting they want to over charge you late fees when they already have your account information?!?! How is this your fault??? Theyre accounting is at fault!!! And they will not refund you they dont care! Many other great honest gyms in El Paso, Dont get scammed here.

This places uses really old equipment and really poor higiene. You oay for what you get for. The one thing that is really bad is during the summer for some reason they never turned on the ac... For me thats the last straw. Either your being a cheap owner or fix the ac... Either way really bad gym... Many options out there use this as a last resort

Weights are rarely in their correct spot, they are pretty much thrown all over the place. The gym does not appear clean at all. The childcare area is also very run down. The showers are disgusting! The equipment in the classroom (weights and mats) are falling apart, and they still have the nerve to charge an annual fee! I have no idea what they use the money on because the gym itself need serious TLC! Can’t wait to get out of my contract. I do not recommend this gym!

Ive been a member here for almost 2 years and I have to say its been a great experience! Customer service is exemplary, the staff members are always friendly and happy and happy to help. I like that staff are constantly keeping the gym clean, walking around and checking to make sure nothing is running out and ensuring safety. I come 3-4 times a week and its consistently been this way since I first started coming in 2015. Their daycare is awesome too. My son loves Maria and Sandra, they are the sweetest and theres plenty of toys to keep him entertained. Theres plenty of equipment and its just overall such a positive place!

I have been with EP fitness for years. On 11/15/19 I went to paragon location to inquire about cross county workouts, Cassandra one of the managers told me I can try out 2 sessions to see if I like first. After one session I signed up, I paid $340 for a full year immediately, but my old membership was to expire April 2020, so she adjusted with the new membership. During my second workout, I could feel like my knees were locked in, I was having difficulties to squat, for the rest of that week I could not climb up or down the stairs, I went back to Paragon I told Cassandra that I want to withdraw my cross county membership because the high impact exercise was impacting my knees, they were hurting so bad. Cassandra said she will contact corporate and explain what’s happening and she will contact me to let me know. I waited and waited for her call but did not hear from her. In December I called Resler location and spoke to another manager explained my concerns, he said he will talk to a corporate manager and get back with me. At that time I requested if that corporate manger can call me, and the Resler manager said that he gave the corporate manager my phone number and that he will be calling me. I waited and waited and no call. Late January I went back to Resler and this time I spoke to the same Cassandra and I told her that was disappointed in their customer service, she remembered me well, and she asked for my number so she can call me later, she said she would work to resolve my issue as quickly as possible . I Waited and waited and no call. EP fitness disappointed me, I always recommend this fitness to all my colleagues at work, but only to find out that they don’t care once you need a service from them. I just need my refund. I wish they can be honest with me, my old membership ends in April 20, I don’t think I will ever want to go there even though I have my employer membership to go to emu gym, EP will be the least one to go to, I will never recommend to anybody again. All my friends are looking into other fitness places.

Stairmasters always out of service. As many people as they serve, equipment should be in top shape. They neglect to repair leaky roof when it rains. Theres no presence of real management. Nothing but kids on cellphones run the place. Its a 1 star gym. I wouldnt invite anyone for free trial for 15 minutes much less a 2 hour workout. Get it together EP Fitness

Spacious, conveniently close to home and good equipment to workout with. Only one small issue, cleaning towels and spray bottles run out quickly and are not replaced too often. Awesome place to spend some time in ones health.

Its not much but its all we got. The addition of new machine weights only masks the lack of adapting to the new era of fitness. The new equipment has reduced the space of the gym also having multiple of the same equipment doesnt seem very well thought-out. The mens restrooms and showers are disgusting. I come early morning and at times the opener doesnt show up or doesnt have the keys, its extremely frustrating. This side of town is in desperate need of a high quality gym. Id rather drive 30 mins down the road to Crunch fitness in LC, thats the future of gyms.

I am active user at this gym, today I was disrespected by the employee by the name of Tanya. I couldn’t believe the attitude she had while talking to me. Her attitude was disrespectful and offered no solution to my problem. She needs to learn how to speak to customers with more respect and patience, as she is representing EP fitness.

Pros:-Staff is friendly and has always been courteous.Cons:-Machines frequently are missing the grip or the grips are torn.-Power has gone out on me a few times while on a treadmill-Staff does not enforce members cleaning their machines after use-Staff allows people to either just sit at a machine or take up multiple machines. I understand if this were during slow times but it happens mostly when busy.Overall I dont mind coming because I got a great deal for two years ($165 total for both years). If I had to pay regular price, I would not be a member.

I had tried for several months to take my children off my plan because they moved after college and I was told that it was all taken care of by the front desk personnel. It wasnt. I went to the EP Fitness administrative offices to cancel and was told that they couldnt help me, I had to do it at the gym. I left several messages for the manager to call me. He (Freddy) never did. I finally had a day off and stopped in when the manager was there and he told me that he could take them all off but they were going to jack my rate up just because it would put me under a new contract. If the gym was nice, clean and had new equipment I would consider it but this gym is dirty and has worn out equipment. Trainers will block off sections of the workout area just for their clients. I have been a member of that gym for over 10 years and watched it deteriorate. They only care about your monthly dues, not about providing any kind of value for your money. Look elsewhere, there are businesses that value your business. EP Fitness does not.

2 months after my daughter and I have joined the gym, I was charged annual fees that were not communicated to me when we first joined (we were just told we have to pay monthly fees of $10.83 + initiation fees per member which we did). Later on when I wished to cancel because of changes in my work/life commitments which did not allow me to go to the gym I was asked to pay Cancelation fees that again was not communicated to us at the time of enrollment. On top of that the manager wanted me to pay the following month’s fees claiming that the cancellation is a 30 days process and insisted on not removing my credit card information from their system. Do NOT put your money in such worn out gym where managers and staff are not on the same page and just care about their monthly dues!

I went for the 1st to the gym do to the shutting do to the coronavirus. I went in the afternoon and I was very disappointed due to there is a lot of gym members not following the distance, they in groups very close to other people using the equipment, with no mask or gloves and are not even wiping the equipment and no staff controlling the crowd, missing sanitation bottles from their stations and agains the staff are not even controlling this stations due to not enough gym staff to take care of the gym!!!

Friendly staff, prices could be better especially for the daycare. Clean gym, preferred some of the old isolated weight machines. Squat rack area is always crowded. Cardio room is really spacious and nice. Daycare personnel is really nice!

Good selection of exercise equipment, needs better sanitation and the old gym equipment can absolutely need upgrading. Been training here for over 4 years now. Best time to train is 11:00am-4:00pm.

Pretty good gym, kind of hard to find a seat by the free weights. You can tell its an older gym but I like it.

Staff unattentive, staff doesnt follow their own rules, nobody there is on the same page. When customer has concerns they just poo-poo it away and ignore you. Staff members usually on their cell phones and goofing around at front desk. Music sometimes so loud you cant hear yourself think. Doesnt anyone manage this place! Very bad customer service, Do Not Recommend!!

After having a bad experience at another EP fitness location, I called and spoke with Patrick. He was much more helpful and kind than either of the staff members at the other location, and one of those was even the manager. Although I still intend to cancel my membership, I felt this location should get a good review for the better customer service.

Yeah a lot of the weights are a little old and it gets kinda busy, but I was looking for a good place ot throw big weights around and this one is perfect. Tons of every kind of machine, zillions of free weights, great front staff and surprisingly cool patrons. Sign up, nerds.

Great gym, it has good equipment!

Pretty big with plenty of machines and weight. Heavy weight available. Daycare is also available even at 5am. Opens at 5am during the week, does not get too packed at that time. Its better than the afternoon when the high school kids and the meatheads waste time talking or hyping up for one rep. Overall clean facility, clean showers, plenty of lockers.

EP fitness has lots of good equipment, but the overall feel of the gym is pretty grungy and possibly even a little dirty. The staff is ok. Sometimes they can be friendly, sometimes theyre not. The price for membership is a little high. If youre super serious about fitness you might like EP, but otherwise I always felt more comfortable (and affordable) at Planet Fitness.

The dance class was amazing a very skilful dancer with the ability to teach the class and make it fun

Courteous staff. I saw raters complaning its dirty. Its a gym (not a spa)! Going on thirty years as a member. I just paid over the phone with no hassle at all. In 2019 Im still being treated with kindness and respect by all the employees at EPF. Generations have come and gone. Hell, most of these great people werent born when I first joined in the eighties. I made a 5-Star decision!

Ima be honest this place deserves more credit if you don’t like gyms then go to planet.

The gym could be a lot better. The water fountains have never had cold water. Its damn near impossible to get a sip of water from the water fountain by the restrooms because the is so little water flow. Its cheap, so get what I pay for.

I love the gym. Its really nice and they have nice equipment. The front desk staff is nice but the staff on the gym floor were very rude. One of the staff members on the gym floor ran into my girlfriend. He didnt say anything, no excuse me or sorry...nothing. He just looked at the both of us and didnt say a thing. This obviously ticked me off so I said something to him and he had no response. Very very disrespectful!

This gym is one of the smallest gym in the EP Fitness branches. Some of the free weights that they have are kind of old, but I like the old rugged look some people might not like that this is why Im mentioning it. Ive been coming here for a couple years now and when it rains water comes in but the staff tries to do a good job of cleaning everything up. This gym has a lot of wear and tear because this is one of the farthest west side EP Fitness gyms that service the Farwest side. The other EP fitness gym that comes close to this gym will be by the university of El Paso. So I would assume like me is the most convenient EP fitness gym for now. The Westside is a growing community that I hope someday well bring other gyms that could be much bigger. The other choices people may have is Planet Fitness but I do not like Planet Fitness this is the other reason I come here. I cannot comment on there group classes because I dont take any group Fitness class here. Go strictly here for the free weights and machines and treadmill. I personally have never had a problem here with the staff or other people everybody mind your own business in my opinion.

I love this gym. The staff are nice, child care is offered, there is plenty of space and equipment, and I am never waiting to use a machine. Plus there is always a cleaning lady walking around and cleaning something.

Definitely the worst place ever... I have been trying to cancel my membership since April and every month they continue to charge my account.... Ive talked to assistant manager and manager.... neither one has done anything about it... Im now in Arizona and spent $200 on a membership I cancelled months ago! Thieves!!!! Would never recommend it to anyone!!!!

I went here to gather information about what packages they offer. I really wanted to get the pay in full package in about a week because we were still exploring our options but this one was at the top of our list. The guy selling the package and the owner were so pushy once we said that we were most likely going to get a package within a week. The seller said that he would instead of paying for 12 months they would add 2 extra months which only last the rest of summer but then the manager had to come in and once we said that we were going to buy in a week he said that the special the seller offered is ending in a week... Anyways basically I really wanted the package because we have planet fitness right now but they dont have classes and we work out frequently but the owner had to say that we arent devoted to losing weight.. So they lost a sale completely. After reading the reviews I am glad that I didnt get the package.

In the end I ended up paying 28.99 and 268.79 in fees after I explain that I got out of rehabilitation they dont care about you. anyway Im staying away and just buying my own equipment instead.

EP Fitness will do everything in their power to prevent you from cancelling your membership. I recently moved to Phoenix and forgot to cancel my membership. On one of my trips back to El Paso, I stopped by an EP Fitness and inquired about cancelling. I was told that I needed to speak to a manager to cancel and it was late Sunday afternoon so I was not able to locate one. Upon returning to Phoenix, I reviewed the cancellation policy on their website. They state that you can either cancel at an EP Fitness location or by certified mail but it takes 30 days. I was returning to El Paso in two weeks so I decided to just wait.When I tried to cancel during my next visit, I was not able to find a manager at any eastside location, but luckily there was a manager named Iliana at the Resler location. I spoke to her over the phone and told her my intention to drive over there to cancel. She agreed. When I arrive, I tell Iliana and two other employees there that I need to cancel. Iliana tells me they left for a family emergency. I have no idea who they are if I had been told I had to cancel with a manager and she is a manager. She has one of the other employees give me a yellow cancellation slip and tells me to mail it in by certified mail. I ask if I cant just cancel there with her and she says it has to be by certified mail. The EP Fitness clearly states that one can cancel at an EP Fitness location OR by certified mail. This brings up several questions about my experience trying to cancel:1. Why was I not offered the yellow slip by any of the employees at the eastside EP Fitness locations?2. Why didnt Iliana tell me over the phone that she couldnt cancel it for me? I drove 50 minutes to and from, then I had to drive 6.5 hours back to Phoenix later that day.3. Who is they? If Iliana is a manager and she cant cancel my membership at an EP Fitness location, then who can?I just want to warn others to plan ahead when cancelling their EP Fitness membership. When it comes to cancelling, these people are no better than those telemarketer scammers that try to steal your money. They will withhold info, mislead, and blatantly lie in order to prevent or delay your cancellation.

Its a gym not a showplace. Staff has been nothing but helpful and friendly. The staff greets you and I like that. Wish it had a sauna but as far as equipment it has plenty to keep you busy.

The dust bunnies lining the ceiling trusses are much more swoll than any of the members. The A/C sucks and everyone is forced to marinate in each other’s funk. The truck stop style bathrooms stink of bleach and scum and look like they haven’t been updated since 1987. New equipment has finally come in so now there’s a mix of current and very old machines. God knows why people put up with this disgusting place.

They play getto has hell music! And when you ask them in a respectful manner if you can make a song request or change of music they say ok but dont do it. If they do, it is done reluctantly and with a bad attitude. Unbelievable!

A wreck of a gym. I just got a membership here after my student membership at UTEP ended when I finished college. The place is filthy, water fountains are always hot and broken. A/C is meh. Equipment is dirty and rusty. Weights are NEVER racked correctly.Nobody cares here. Its just a place to pick up something heavy, run on a few machines and get the heck out. Theres no pride or community here.Music is just a bunch of old classic rock. Nothing super inspiring.Equipment is literally falling apart and When breaks it just sits there with a fat out of order sign some 5 year old made with a sharpie.They dont have specialized peripherals like belts with chains.Its really cheap but you get what you pay for. This place honestly wants to make me revoke my own membership.A gym is supposed to be a safe haven where after a tiring day of work you can unwind and relieve stress. This is NOT that.Id only recommend this gym if you have no money and desperately need a gym.

I went there for about 3 years. The place has a lot of equipment and plenty of machines, cables, and weights. However, the place is filthy. I know gyms arent supposed to be super clean, but when compared to every other gym that ive been to (Golds, Planet, UTEP rec) this place is disgusting. It always smells terrible and the restrooms are disgusting. The roof is always leaking water when it rains and the equipment is old. The water from the fountains is always warm and tastes terrible. Not to mention the membership is expensive. Compared to other gyms, this place really sucks. The only pro I can find is that it has plenty of machines and other equipment that others dont have. I cancelled this membership as soon as I was able to go to the UTEP gym.

I told the older lady sitting at the desk there was no disinfectant spray in half the bottles throughout the gym at the beginning of my workout. An hr later when I was leaving still no disinfectant spray. Too busy talking with others or just sitting down to either fill up those bottles herself or have another employee to do so. Its already a disappointment that fellow gym members dont wipe the equipment.

Nasty gym and has gotten dirtier over the years. Only gets a two because they have weights. Nastiest gym I have ever seen. I will go to Planet fitness till a Golds Gym opens up on the West side. Planet is missing a lot of weights but so much cleaner than nasty Ep Fitness.

Equipment is old and location is not very well maintained. Many of the weights are literally falling apart and I’m constantly having to steal plates from other areas because they don’t have enough. Minimum 1-year commitmentSuper slimy when trying to cancel, even after the contract is up. Even with COVID they still make no exceptions and keep charging you for at least a month. You have to go in, get a form, send it certified mail, and wait for over a month before they will do anything.

Turning off the lights early or even after hours while their are people lifting weights is begging for a lawsuit.

Ive been a member for a month now: This place is gross and filthy. The bathroom makes me gag so dont go in there at all! The weights are never put away correctly. The gym is always packed which is understandable but these people are taking up multiple machines at the same time. There will be girls just on their phones at the squat rack not even using it. Girls will do legs on machines not meant for that, putting their shoes all over th equipment, EW. None of the guests wipe off their equipment after use. There should be an employee monitoring all this but all the employees are always at the front goofing around. The cardio equipment is ok at least.

Heard about all the hidden fees this gym has, so decided to pay for membership up front for 1 whole year, after 3 months into the paid membership the staff at front counter says the membership expired.Showed them the contract where CLEARLY it states that 1 yr was paid and staff still fighting saying it was only for 3 months.Staff very rude and unprofessional.As it is, it isnt like its a 5 star gym!Gym located at paragon the roof in the class where they held zumba leaks all they do is wipe the floor down,ive seen many girls fall.Sauna room in montwood in the gentlemens side always broken.Called corporate for manager to call me to adress these issues, still waiting for someone to return my call!

For anyone serious about training stay away from ep fitness its a lack of better term a get by gym the staff is rude even the manager was rude definitely will not be returning. I had been loyal to ep for numerous years but I guess good management is hard to come by these days. btw if you have a bag be sure to put it in the locker or this so called gym will be pissy about watching your bag when the staff gladly says we can watch your bag no problem. This business is the definition of hypocrisy along with its fraudulent charges will never return to this so called gym

Hammer strength machines and plenty of benches for chest, big cardio room, and chill staff

Dirty place to exercise. Leaks everywhere and the water fountains just look like a chemistry project to see which one accumulates more bacteria. Replace your protein powder for vitamin C if you plan to visit this place.

Long time member at EP, but the incompetence of their employees has finally boiled over. Im a student who just started a 4 year program in Massachusetts who has come home for winter break. I requested a 1 month contract and was given a contract to sign that I was told specifically was a 1 month contract. Months later I am being charged for a yearly contract that they have yet to cancel or freeze despite numerous attempts on the phone to do some from Boston. I was bounced around to different managers and employees and even had to give out sensitive credit card information to cancel it. I was even told in a follow up phone call that my account was frozen. Skip 1 month later, I am still being charged the monthly payment and upon calling, a new employee says there is no record of a freeze or cancelation attempt on my account. Absolutely ridiculous how they treat their customers. It has been weeks, close up to 2 months and I have not spoken to one employee who can help me.

One day, I got this letter (somehow they had my information to contact me), so I went because supposedly I had enter a contest to win a brand new Jeep Cherokee. When I went to this place, I was offered the chance to take advantage of a situation where a man had paid for ... I dont know how many months in advance blah blah blah and he wasnt going to be attending the gym because he had to go out of town to another country. So they offered me to take advantage of his loss and that I only had to pay for the next six months. HELL NO!!!!! Bunch of Idiots!!!! I just stood up turned around and left. This is 100% true story.
