My wife and I visited for a date night on the advice of a friend. We both decided on trying the buffet in the evening. We enjoyed great tacos, Enchiladas, and the best caldo de res Ive ever had! The horchata was on point, not to sweet and not to bland. For all the good that the food was, the service was the opposite. The young man serving us had no interest in answering questions about the menu, left the drinks empty the entire evening until I came over to find him, and I had to chase him down for the bill at the end of the night. The food was good enough that we are going to try this restaurant again, hopefully with better service.

They served buffet from Monday to Friday. I ordered from the menu, good food, great price. Restaurant is bright and clean, u r required to wear gloves(provided) to take food from the buffet, and their staff collect finished dishes very quick. Excellent Frijoles charros.

They have a very good variety for the breakfast buffet but the food was not really good. Some items were too bland and others were either too salty, like the pozole, or too sweet, like the oatmeal. If the oatmeal wouldnt have been too sweet and the pozole wouldnt have been too salty those two items would have been the only two things on the buffet. The waitress was an older lady and didnt care to provide good service. We only saw her when she took our drinks. She never offered tortillas and I had to be asking other people for them but they would be bothered by it. Owner needs to make changes on the recipes, the cooks, and wait staff.

The Buffet was absolutely delicious and the price is very reasonable (around $14.00)!! I Highly recommend the Buffet!!! Face mask are currently optional.

Excellent food and even better service. The food is authentically Mexican as it gets. It’s what you would expect to see on a menu in Mexico proper. Lorena, our waitress was attentive and personable; despite being incredibly busy. You can’t go wrong with either the buffet or the menu. The final icing on the cake is the cleanliness standard that the restaurant adheres to.Top notch in El Paso in my book.

Had the breakfast buffet. Nice selection of food but it could have more egg dishes. Excellent customer service. I recommend this restaurant for its food service and affordable prices.

My wife and I went to Chihuas for the first time today. Were ready to go again. The staff was great and the food was beyond what we expected. We both recommend Chihuas and hope others frequent the restaurant. It was clean, and the crew visibly works to keep the tables and floor clean; but the food was great! Highly recommended!

Good prices. Very very good food. The staff was very patient with me to order and ask questions since I speak only little spanish. Thank you. The two negatives.... no plates for salad(they had to go to back and get some)... out of some salsas(they had to run to the back and find some) and what they brought to the table was very little.

Great place for the breakfast buffet, and for Taco Tuesday. The only thing that I dont like is that the mens restrooms never have soap. 😧

We rented the banquet room for a family event this past weekend. The food was decent as well as the wait service. When trying to use the ladies restroom, there were repairs being done and we were told we couldnt use it but werent offered an alternative restroom. A buffet style set up was payed for during this event. We had food left over and were told we could not take any, even though we payed for it. Possibly to resell it or waste it by throwing it out. I will never give my business to this restaurant again.

This place is amazing. The staff is great and courteous. The Chef checks on the food very often and speaks to the customers. Food has a great flavor for different taste buds. Lots of choices, I went with taco buffet! Believe me, not just tacos but a great variety of food. Definitely coming back!

The reason I gave this place 4 stars it is because theie breakfast buffet is really good, but their like afternoon or non buffet food is not great. Great weekend breakfast buffet that goes on until 2pm.

Over all was good, place was packed, not very clean, but employees were on their toes, and very attentive!Had tacos de barbacoa, wich for my taste was not hot, and on the grease side, just a bit, again good food!

We were looking for a good breakfast buffet to break the monotony and we found it with this place. Everything was absolutely amazing from the greeting of the staff and the welcoming atmosphere. The buffet set up was astounding with so many choices of delicious food. Everything from American breakfast like pancakes, cereal, oatmeal to delicious guizados de puerco and finger licking green chilaquiles 😋. Completely and utterly satisfied. Will definitely be back.

Went for breakfast. I had never been there before and to see the buffet was wonderful. My aunt and uncle loved their oatmeal and Rajas de chile verde con queso with their sunny side egg. I had enchiladas with my eggs and tater tots 😋. Fresh fruits, cottage cheese, and puddings. Ill be going again soon 😃.

Ok so 2nd time here for breakfast buffet; no issues, food and service are good. There is a good selection of food; my favorite so far are the papas norteñas with green chilaquiles and eggs over medium and beans 😁. The avena is a little too sweet for my taste, I tried barbacoa today, it was ok but a little too greasy. I have yet to try all of the food, so I guess I need to go back soon

Amazing, authentic, professional...just cant express enough how amazing this place is

We went Chihua Restaurant to celebrate mothers day, we were so blessed that the manager Javier also a chef gave us the most amazing welcoming, he made us feel like we were on our home, so attentive, making sure that our waiter was taking care of us like we were supposed to.

The soup was good but could have had a little less Cracklings in it. I ordered the Ya Vas Tacos and they were so good. My husband ordered Chihua Especisl and he said it was very good. We also had a side salad as part of our order. Tortillas were street Taco sized corn. We would order Tacos here again when we visit this area again.

It was a very nice atmosphere, the food was fantastic, I would go back

The only bad experience is that I was trying to book their catering business with Patricia Ortiz. Which I’ve spoken with several times. Trying to settle all arrangements with her. She seemed excited at first but gets very busy & forgets to contact you back. I decided not to stress out & my wedding planner decided to take care of everything for me. Well she’s left her several messages & still no call back. If it’s too much to handle then a curtsey call would be nice.

Who puts Parmesan cheese on an enchilada it was so gross and cold. The only good thing was the water. This place is bad my friend got tacos and they were so small and the meat looked like beans when she ordered steak it was bad and the salsa even worse

Was very surprised with the portions and selection for the buffet. The lemonade was also amazing. I was hard pressed to find something I didnt like that they offered. Safety wise you had gloves that were disposable that you would wear as you went to the buffet and got a new plate. Looking forward to returning back with a family member later in the week

Had a wonderful breakfast this morning. Everything was clean, food was awesome, and the servers did a great job. Breakfast was a traditional mexican breakfast buffet that included drink of choice, and they will make eggs any way you like from the kitchen. If youre visiting El Paso I recommend stopping here for breakfast.

Buffet is ok. But it is not great. The manager..she was a bit rude... the food some of it was ok...but alot to be desired..in the flautas...enchiladas...and caldo de res departments. Server was good.

The only reason I dont rate this place one star is because the food was almost ok. It was just a bit cold. It took them 30 min to get our drinks out. Another 45 to get the food (which was cold). After they heated up the food it was ok. Edible but not memorable. Would not recommend and will never be coming back.

Food is good but it sits on the pan for a long time and some times it get burned or dry the waitresses are never around when needed, the bath room was handicap accessible but not the door way to get in my wheelchair did not fit all they said that thy where sorry but I needed to talk to management
