Southern Turf did a great job for us. They were fast, efficient and professional. It turns out that one of the roots on the stump they were grinding ran underneath our water main so they left it alone instead of risking the main. They explained and showed me the issue and I agreed to it. The price was fair and I would recommend them without hesitation.

We have used Southern Turf on several occasions, and they are always very professional (unlike some other tree trimmers we have used in the past). Two things we truly appreciate:1. They always have appropriate equipment and crew to efficiently do the job. On the last job they did for us, they accomplished in 75 minutes what most other tree trimmers would have taken a full day to do, and that was because they had the right equipment (expensive equipment for sure, but definitely the right equipment)!2. With hurricane season approaching, we had them trim up the huge live oaks surrounding our house, and when theyd finished, the trees were still so natural looking that, if you didnt know theyd been here you couldnt tell. The trees were trimmed, not scalped; the mark of true professionals.

I posted a 4 star review before and just felt it was not accurate, so I thought I would post another review so maybe the message would be clear. The guys that came were very nice, but it was around 6:30 and they were obviously in a hurry to get home because one of them told me. $300 for only 30 minutes of work is excessive but for the time they were there they worked hard. I just didnt figure on paying them $100 for every 10 minutes of work.

My experience was beyond satisfactory. The crew arrived on time, really 15 minutes early. Fred was the name of my crew leader. When he arrived we did a walk through, reviewed the quote and discussed the total price. Fred brought a crew of 3 more people. But after quickly accessing my job, made a call to bring in bigger equipment that would complete my job safer, and faster. Fred and his crew worked well together and with me. I was able to communicate with Fred and he was able to complete my job above my expectations. I would recommend Southern Turf for any of your tree trimming or removal projects. If you get Fred and the Crew that did my job, you will be happy and satisfied. Good job Southern Turf! Set up an appointment for a quote on having several trees trimmed/pruned. Rearranged our schedule to make sure we were going to be home at the appointment time (was told 2-4pm). No show, no call. Unprofessional.EDITReplying to the owner:So not only did you never show up but now youre lying about it. My husband and I were in our garage, which faces the street, WITH THE DOOR OPEN during the time your estimator was supposed to show up. Never showed. If the estimate is so simple why did you waste my time setting up an appointment for something that could have been told to me over the phone? $410 to trim 2 palm trees and cut 2 branches off of a pine tree? Rip off. Including a picture of your response just incase you decide to delete it

This Company was excellent. The guys who took down the tree and cleaned everything up did an amazing job. The guy who cut the tree was very impressive as weve never saw precion as he took the branches off and then told us exactly where it would land. Great job. I think his name was Mike.

This is the second time we’ve used Southern Turf for tree trimming and once again they were excellent. Their prices are by far lower than anyone else and I got numerous quotes the first time around. Jeremiah was the salesman, Josh the crew chief. They trimmed up an old live oak that is very healthy...and we want to keep it that way. Im not sure how you run a business with the many machines, bucket trucks, etc and a team of 4 guys that is more professional than this group. I was really impressed. These guys are very professional. I had them trim 5 trees on the property line. They were incredibly fast and precise! They were not able to get the bucket equipment into my yard because of the fencing. That didnt slow them down. The used ladders and climbing gear. They cleared everything from bottom to top. Nothing was out of their reach. They cleaned up the branches and debris and took it with them. They did a great job. I would hire them again!

I was at work in the morning.I was told to expect a phone call prior to their arrival. CheckThey were to trim 3 palm trees. CheckGrind two trumps. CheckTrim a tree in the neighbors yard that had overgrown in to my yard and was getting into the house power lines. CheckRemove overgrown vegetation along the fence line. CheckAfter they were finished, photos were sent to my phone showing the completed work.Efficient work done to my satisfaction. I finally got around to the point where I was able to order the fencing I wanted for my property, which is almost 3 acres and I had about 700’ of fence line to clear out brush, fallen trees, and some nasty vine that had grown into a huge pile. I personally own my own tractor and have enough equipment to have eventually gotten it done, but after several days of reading reviews and requesting estimates I ended up going with Southern Turf. What drew me in was the advertising of using ‘knives for a finer cut’, so I went ahead and booked them. They weren’t the cheapest and they weren’t the most expensive ( some of these other companies offering services at double the cost LOL ), but they were competitively priced and for the amount of work they did after all is said and done I thinks it’s definitely a fair price.The operator for that day asked what I was looking to achieve and he went at it in that little bobcat and handled all of the forestry mulching, stump grinding, and land clearing I could only dream about doing in just a few hours. We got back tons of clear land with mulched up timber on the ground and a nice and clear property line to work on for putting up my fence. I had asked for a favor in mulching up a pile of branches and grinding up the root for a fallen tree, he not only took care of that but also helped by pushing that tree out of my property and onto the neighbors like I planned to. It’s the little things that help, I would hire them again without hesitation.

The crew and office was very responsive to my request, they did a great job, the crew was very respectful and easy to deal with and so was the office. They want to do a good job, they work together to make sure that you are happy with their work.

The team of Nick, Nate and Cat showed up when they said they would. They asked a couple of questions to ensure we were all in agreement with what was to be done. They set out right away with amazing equipment and removed two very large (but diseased) oak trees. They were very careful of where the cuttings landed, taking great care not to do any damage to surrounding shrubs, driveways, etc. Their chipper was amazing in terms of what it could grind up! When everything was down, they cleaned up every leaf, stick, chip and log remnant, loaded it all on two trucks and hauled it away. I highly recommend SouthernTurf!

Southern Turf are professionals in every sense, in a field where there arent a whole lot of them. They gave me a fair quote, showed up on the agreed upon date and did a perfect job trimming my palms. They are my business and I will be using them for future needs as well.

We were looking at a few site contractors to clear land and dig a pond to use for dirt around our property. Everyone we called until Southern Turf showed up either stood us up or just didn’t really seem to be able to even price the project. I have to say Im glad we went with this company. They were recommended by a friend so we knew they could do what we wanted. They were professional and did an amazing job. We dealt with Ricky Hatcher and his crew. I have to say they are the real deal. Ricky went over everything in detail and I’ve gotta give credit where credit is due because he nailed our idea and saw it through. To watch this piece of land transform so fast into a dream for our barn and the horses it was really something special to us and I just want to point out that you get what you pay for and Ricky Hatcher does not come cheap for that reason as he joked the entire project which really was the best part of this project what a great group of people! 5/5

I used this company for the removal and trimming of several trees on my property. Some of the trees were extremely large bull pines which threatened severe damage to my residence.I called Southern Turf and spoke to Travis. Travis was extremely polite, informative, knowledgeable and accommodating. Travis met me at my residence and gave me an instant quote.Travis explained everything in person in great detail, so I knew exactly what I was getting for exactly how much money.We set a date and the crew showed up exactly on time. Everyone working on my project was polite, respectful, VERY hardworking and clearly very knowledgeable. Travis was there to oversee the project and man they worked hard!The equipment used was nothing less than amazing. This company utilized a crane that grabs the tree limb, cuts it and carries it across the property without it hitting (damaging) the ground. It was IMPRESSIVE!They worked hard from early morning till night, finishing the entire project early. Travis immediately followed up, and made sure everything was perfect.I do not typically leave reviews, but this process was extremely smooth, done perfectly, and very fairly priced. I had a company hired who was going to hire this company for use of their knuckleboom. To assist on the removal of a 50k plus oak tree on my home. The owner seemed polite but the next am one of the employees was EXTREMELY RUDE! Do not hire this company! In stead of concentrating on professionalism they are more concerned in bashing other companys; and in this case these guys are the inferior company with 3 whole reviews!!!!! Be sure to search and find the company that suits you best!!!
