We have taken our vehicles here multiple times and are always happy with their service and professionalism. They are always willing to explain exactly what is going on with our vehicles, and they will honestly tell me when a repair can wait. Their prices are more than reasonable, and their mechanics and managers are personable and friendly. So glad we found Youngstedts when we moved here. Well definitely continue coming to this location, even though were moving across town!

The mechanics stayed open late for us Labor Day weekend after our car wouldnt start on our way back from a wedding 5 hours from home. They saved us from having to get an additional hotel expense and we were able to get our daughter home to sleep in her crib. Excellent customer service!

Too much to go into here but long story short brought car back for the same problem over, and over, and over. Got charged for work that never solved the problem and finally took it to a different mechanic who found the problem right away and fixed it. So all that work I got charged for wasnt even the problem. Gave them a 2 star because the last time I brought my car back for the same problem they did at least give me free service even though it never fixed the problem. Lots of money lost but problem never solved. At least workers were polite though.

I had the best experience at this tire shop. They were able to fit us in when no one else was and got us in on time. Nine minutes later they called me back and let me know that they had fixed the problem on my tire and that there would be no charge. Wow, I can’t tell you how amazing that was to hear! I will be back.

They were able to squeeze me in during the busy Labor Day weekend and although my repairs came out rather expensive, I felt I was encouraged to make the best decision for myself and my car and not what would make them more money. Overall I was very happy with them.

Normally dont write bad reviews but I came from an hour away to get an alignment on my car and after sitting there for an hour they told me to come back because the lift wasnt going to be available for a few hours. They did rotate my tires and put the good ones on the front since the front tires were worn from being out of alignment. So no big deal I came back a few days later and paid $125 for the alignment and tire rotation. My car seemed to drive worse after this so after a few weeks I got it in to get checked out elsewhere and it cost over $1000 to get everything fixed. They said the car was so far out of alignment that it damaged the suspension, I had a bad wheel baring that they didnt mention before aligning, and front tires that were good were worn down since they didnt align them properly.

Same 2 guys been running the place since I first bought a vehicle here 10 yrs ago.You might save$5 going to a big box store garage. But you can trust these guys wont up or oversell u any unnecessary services

I got 4 new tires put on my Escape, after a day I noticed one of my tires were unbalanced and causing my vehicle to shake a little. I called Youngstedts and explained this to them, and how I had to drive to Iowa the next day. The next day they fitted me in right before they opened and fixed it free of charge. The man I spoke with over the phone said they’d make things right, and the definitely did.

Jason seems to honestly care that I know the status of my truck and what he did with it. He talked with me for 5 minutes after I paid had the keys in my hand so I understand a pretty small price increase. He has repeatedly offered to show the faults he found or the work he has done. Maybe you could find similar prices in town, but you can’t really pay someone to give a damn unless they just do.

Called ahead over the weekend due to us having a puncture in our tire with a slow leak. They were able to get us in immediately for a patch. Walked over to Festival Foods/Caribou and didnt even finish our drink before the work was complete.Great pricing and excellent customer service. Thank you!

Super impressed with the services provided by Youngstedts; I moved to the area recently and have gone to a couple of different places to get oil changes. I had an issue with a tire a few months back that had to be dealt with quickly, and even though they were booked, they told me to drop it off and they would get to as soon as they could. A couple of hours later, and my tire was fixed, for a very reasonable cost. Im not sure the name of the front-desk person, but he is always polite, takes time to explain what was done to the vehicle, and doesnt push getting other services. I recently replaced all my old tires, and received a great deal as well. Im really happy I found my go-to mechanic shop. I highly recommend!

Scheduled an appointment online on Sunday night for Tuesday and it was confirmed via email Monday morning. Appointment to pull a nail from my tire and patch.Polite, clean and friendly. Jason helped me and did great. Dropped off vehicle at noon and was back by 12:45 to pick up.

Brent and the team at Youngstedts are excellent. I travel frequently for work and am dependent on a vehicle. This weekend I had a flat and was about to leave my vehicle there for the week while I traveled in my personal vehicle instead. Brent came up with a spot and fixed my work vehicle on short notice so I could travel this week. They do a great job and are very caring.

Ran into a curb and took my Audi here for review for damage. Said it only needed an alignment. When I got my car back, it did not drive right and took it to the dealership for review. There was $2800 worth of damage that was missed and the alignment was still messed up. Youngstedts is does not have the correct machines to perform the alignment. At least they gave my money back for the botched job.

I’ve been using Youngsteds’ services for the past decade or so for oil changes and tires. Brent and Jason couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating. Whether it’s a drop-in tire patch for one of the kids’ cars or a last minute oil change, they’ve always come through.

Timely and friendly service. Appreciated that they didnt charge me for a service I asked for, instead they discussed why I didnt need it.

People. The people are always the best. We use the west side Eau Claire outlet and Jason is our trusted adviser on all matters with our vehicles, as is Brent too. We have kept vehicles for many years and several hundred thousand miles due to the work they do.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I had a screw in my tire and was leaking air fast. I live an hour and a half away from Eau Claire, but I work down here, so needed to get my tire fixed on an emergency basis, and had already been told no by a few places that I had called. I knew my tire would not make it home, and I had just worked an overnight shift. Brent was so awesome and told me he would be able to squeeze me in between other appointments, but it would probably be a couple hours. Turns out, I also had a headlight out. Luckily, I had a spare bulb with me, so he replaced that for me as well. Brent got the screw out, repaired my tire, replaced the headlight, and sent me on my way under an hour. I was so relieved! All for under $30!! I will definitely be back for any other tire needs. Thanks!!!

Youngstedts replaced my front brakes at the end of November. They let me know that soon I’ll need to replace the back brakes, but they still had some life left so I opted to hold off. In June my drivers side front brake started to squeak so loud that my husband could hear it when I was talking to him through my Bluetooth. I understand this can be normal once the brakes settle in, so I brought my car in to get that fixed on July 3rd. I got a call saying they couldn’t find any squeaking but I needed back brakes. The squeaking was so excessive in the front that I knew my issue wasn’t solved so I declined the work. I also had not heard any noises from the back of the car. A few minutes after declining the work I got another call saying they did in fact find the squeak when they were putting the car back outside and they would fix it. I didn’t have a good feeling after my initial problem wasn’t recognized, so I declined the work again on the back brakes intending to have it looked like by another mechanic. When I got the vehicle back there was a loud rattling in the back, that had not been there before. I didn’t feel comfortable driving the car so I drove my husbands car to work daily, since he works at home. Today, I was finally able to get into a reputable shop in Chippewa Falls. They let me know that both of the caliper bolts were missing on the drivers side rear brakes. I am so incredibly disappointed in Youngstedts. I know there was no rattling from the back brakes when I took it in on July 3rd and it makes me sick to my stomach to think about what could have happened if I would have continued to drive that car. I expect that when I bring my car to get serviced I receive it back in a safe condition. I should have trusted my gut and taken it somewhere else in the first place.To add insult to injury, I paid $254.21 at the mechanic in Chippewa for my back brakes, and $417.56 at Youngstedts. Lesson learned! Will not come back and would not recommend for anyone concerned for their safety!

I’ve gone and gotten help from these guys multiple times and have only had good experiences. They always just want to help you out and get your car running without selling you a bunch of unnecessary things. I had a tire that needed to be patched up and they were nice enough to squeeze me in to their fully booked schedule this week, too!

Got me out of a pinch, quick, on a saturday afternoon!

Had my car towed here after the starter died. They replaced the starter within the same week and I was back on the road, when the new starter didnt engage later that day, they took the car back in and swapped it out for another starter under warranty. This new starter made sounds similar to the first as it was dying. They attempted to replace the starter again under warranty, but their part supplier sent them the original broken starter which they identified and just canceled the appointment there. They had alot of patience dealing with me and I appreciate them working with me so far on this.

This place is amazing!!! I got a flat Friday night and Im out of town (Milwaukee area). NO OTHER PLACE WAS OPEN! This guy went above and beyond to help me out for a great price, plus to get me on the road after 30 minutes. I work on cars and I know when u tell them your not in the area they take advantage of you but they didnt. Great job guys!

Nice waiting area and helpful responsive staff.Update: I was pleasantly surprised last week. I got four new tires put on here - two at a time. After the second set was installed my tire pressure sensor came on and never went off. I mentioned it to them and they got me in as soon as I could and offered to take a look. They admitted they broke the sensor during the tire installation and I was in an out in less then 30 minutes at no cost to me. VERY pleased.

I was on my way back to Minnesota when I noticed my tire going flat, turns out I had a screw puncture causing a slow but noticeable leak. I gave youngstedts a call and they told me to bring it on in. Within 40 minutes they completed the patch job and had me on my way. Very friendly and helpful staff. If I lived closer Id use them when ever I can.

Do not believe the fake 5 star reviews on here. Those are made by the over-sized deceitful manager who runs this store. There is a reason they have rock bottom 1 star reviews. Ask any mechanic in Eau Claire what they think of Youngstedts and you will hear the never ending horror stories. I feel truly sorry for any unsuspecting people who take their vehicles here. You are being ripped off by these guys. I work for Charter Communications. We use to take our fleet vehicles here until we realized they were really ripping us off on simple repairs and up-charging on everything. They even lied about what needed to be repaired just to increase sales. We are a national corporation, and yet they try and rip us off. Imagine what they do to the average working class individual. I highly urge you to take your mechanical needs to other shops. There are a few just down the street on Clairemont.

Had a brake line leak, several it turned out, while traveling thru Eau Claire on the way to Minnesota. Fortunately, I wasnt on the road at the time. Unfortunately it was Saturday. They were open, they helped me with a towing company and I felt completely comfortable leaving my vehicle there while I traveled on. They are honest, knowledgeable and I highly recommend them. They made extra sure I would be safe on my trip home. Highly recommend them!

Great service and knowledgeable techs, had a simple tire alignment and wasnt pressured to get any other work done on my car which definitely could use it. My options were clearly explained to me when they found that my camber was off quite a bit and they were very honest about what I could do. Would definitely recommend!

Went in for a tire alignment, but was recommended to rotate the tires instead. That fixed the problem, and wasnt even pressured to buy new tires. Was expecting to spend a lot more today, but it was only $20. Really appreciate their honesty and quality work. I will be going back.

Youngstedts has taken care of my car ever since I bought it. I’m very satisfied with the work they have done for me. The employees go out of their way to make sure I’m happy with the job they have done for me, from oil changes to new tires, to replacing worn parts.

They were so helpful and the service was great! Call in just 15 min before they closed but they take me in right away and willing to stay late to help. It’s the best place to go in town.

I asked around for different tire places and it seemed like Youngstedts was going to be a good choice. I set up an appointment the week prior. On the day of my appointment, I took the car in on a weekday and took off work. I was quoted the tires, balance, and alignment when I made the appointment, and confirmed it again the day of. When they were “finished,” I went to pay and they told me they didn’t have enough time to do the alignment, so I’d have to come back a third time.The clerk said it wasn’t a big deal because it was free - but that assumes my time is worthless. It may have been better if they offered a discount or even apologized, but I still had to pay the full price and they didn’t seem like this was something out of the ordinary.To top it off, they decided to put the old tires on top of my golf bag and clubs I had in the backseat - after I told them we’d be taking them in our suv.The people were friendly and knowledgeable, which is why I didn’t go with one star, but it’s clear that people’s time and valuables aren’t important.

I had the not awesome experience of leaving work after begin holed up, on call, all weekend with one thing on my mind. To go HOME and see my 3 big slobbery dogs (and husband makes 4) after a long stressful weekend at the hospital....only to see that I had a flat as a pancake tire. This is after the weekend of hell that dropped more gross white stuff on us as well as being ARCTIC in temperature. I called Youngsteds at 2:40 pm. I asked about just dropping my tire off and having it fixed. The guys said sure....he will get to it today even though they were booked up until at least Wednesday but it would have to be between jobs so theyd just call when it was done. Perfect! I get there and the tire is so bad, it had deep cracks everywhere and I needed a new tire. Ok fine...better make it 2 to keep the driving consistent. My idea...wasnt pushed on me at all. I asked when they could do it. Same day 💙 will call when it is ready. That was amazing. I was called at 4:45, got there, had a little show and tell of my other tire that was obviously going to fail me very shortly (the back tires looked great) and was on my way...ready to go to work with no worries...as far as my tires were concerned.Brent? was so unbelievably awesome and kind, as was the guy that took my payment. I just found my go to place! Thanks guys!

Quick and easy tire repair

My car was leaking brake fluid and I asked them to check into it as well as to check the car over for other issues as well. The shop took the time to walk me over to my vehicle and took me through all of the issues as well as lifted the car up on the hoist so I could see the brake line issues. This allowed me to make an informed decision on whether or not the car was worth spending the money on repairs. It was important to them that I make an informed decision, I found that to be very refreshing for an auto shop and will definitely continue to use them for my repair and oil change needs.

Only thing this retched place is good for is ripping you off and lying about what really needs to be done. Worst place in eau Claire. I wouldnt recommend my enemies here.

Jason and Brent the managers at this location are amazing. They are both very knowledgeable, honest, and select great mechanics to work at this location. They have taken great care of both of our vehicles and I appreciate all that these guys do.

This is the only place I bring my vehicles. They have always been very up front and honest with me, never trying to get me to buy or repair something thats not needed.The service is great and they stand by the work they do and are always really friendly and easy to work with.

Took my car in for a routine maintenance to change the timing belt once I reached 100,000 miles. Youngstedts recommended doing other routine maintenance such as changing the bolt, flushing fluids as well as changing spark plugs which I said yes to as it sounds like a smart thing to do with that many miles. After my appointment to do these things my check engine light came on, took it back in the very next day and they said this happens and it should be fine after resetting the error code. The check engine light never went off and come to find out they put my timing belt on wrong and needed to re-do the whole thing. Very inconvenient as I had to schedule another appointment to fix their mess up. Would not recommend going here for routine maintenance.

Theyve always done a great job for my husband and me. They actually remember us and call us by name when we go there, which is surprising since we arent there that much. Theyve even helped my husband with our snowblower tires. I dont feel like they push unnecessary services and I have always been satisfied with the quality of their work.

Great service. but i was charged double the amount for the cost of parts. i looked up the cost of parts ( brake pads and rotors) and the cost of the exact same parts were half of what i was charged.

I brought my vehicle in to have the low beam headlight bulb replaced. After waiting 40 minutes while my car was looked at, I was told by Jason that it was going to take another hour of labor and about $100 to replace one headlight bulb. Needless to say, I left without getting the bulb replaced. A couple days later, my husband (who is not a mechanic) replaced the bulb on his own in 15 minutes. I called Youngstedt’s back the following day and spoke with Jason. I asked why they couldn’t figure out how to replace the bulb in the 40 minutes when I initially brought my car in. He fumbled over his words and had no explanation and only excuses. Also, at a prior appointment for an oil change I asked to have the power steering fluid level checked. The mechanic told me that my 2011 Chevy Traverse didn’t take power steering fluid! Again, my husband (not a mechanic) found where the power steering fluid goes in about two minutes. Are the people that work there actual mechanics or con artists? The staff never owned up to these obvious scams and never offered an apology. I will never bring my vehicle to this place again. Do not bring your vehicle here for the smallest repairs or general maintenance unless you want to be scammed out of your precious time and money.

A while ago, my Cadillac wouldn’t start. I paid Youngstedts $8-900 to make it run. Everything they were doing was completely over my head. Seemed like a lot of things were unnecessary. Unfortunately less than a week later my car still wouldn’t start leaving me unable to go to work. What exactly was the money I paid for? All I asked was to make my car go from point A to point B. Unfortunately I had to have it towed back again (which they tried to charge me for!) and still had to pay for the parts that were actually wrong. They admitted that they didn’t test the proper electrical things the original time. Extremely upset that I paid for things that were not absolutely necessary. I am 20 years old, didn’t really have $1000, but I needed to go to work. Be careful with these people if you do not know a lot about cars and are in a predicament.I also want to note that the problem was a faulty crank shaft position sensor. My boyfriend had the same problem. His car wouldn’t start. He needed the same thing a couple weeks ago. He paid $96 in labor to a different shop to have it done.I later had faith in them and brought my car back to have this loud popping noise looked at. They told me it was nothing and they cut a piece of plastic off my car that was hanging. Which I paid for them to do this?! I later got an oil change at a BASIC oil change place & within 5 minutes they noticed that a sway bar link was broken. Asked me if I had been hearing any sounds. ... I’m wondering why they weren’t able to see that, because they called me a few times questioning what sound I even heard. Did they even look under my car? I have to wonder if they played me or if they really are just that clueless.

Brought several of my cars here and always got great service. They try their best to get you in and out quickly but still take their time to do it right.

My 19 yr old daughter attends UWEC, I sent her to Youngsteds and they treated her great. Fair price great service. Nice to have a good, honest place nearby.

Update: I still give Youngstedts 5 stars for their service and friendliness. Twice this week I needed them to get me in and they were able to get me in right away and take care of my car issues. More than once I have gotten a second opinion when they let me know that something is wrong with my car and every single time, they have been spot on with the diagnosis and their prices are reasonable. I have been going to them for years and I plan to continue going to them. Thank you!I have had nothing but great experiences with Youngstedts West. We have 4 vehicles in our family and we trust them with all of them. The staff is the absolute best. They remember me when I call or when I walk in to drop off my vehicle. They are personable and most importantly, knowledgeable. They found an issue with one of our cars that was still under warranty. If they wouldnt have found it, it wouldnt have been fixed before the warranty expired. Every time I need to get one of my vehicles in, they are very accommodating. He double checked everything and filled all my tires with air. He gave me advice about my tires and didnt charge anything since he found no problems! If there was an option for no stars, I wouldnt hesitate to five that. I brought one of my cars in to get fixed up and drivable for a summer beater. I got quoted at 2700 dollars, which blew my mind. I happened to bring it to my mechanic back in my hometown, showed him what need to be done, and he said they tried to screw me beyond measure. He said he could do it all for 526 dollars. Do not bring your car here, unless you have boatloads of money that you can spend on repairs.
