I bought all new Sears appliances 8 years ago. My refrigerator isn’t cooling so I called and was transferred over and over again, no real person to speak to, “press one” etc. Was disconnected several times. When I finally got through to a person who barely spoke English I was told there is a 6-8 week wait for a technician to be in my area (Eau Claire WI). I was told my condenser and compressor are still under warranty, which does me absolutely no good when there is no technician available until June 29 (it’s May 7 today). I called several other appliance repair places and none of them will even LOOK at a Sears appliance, “impossible to get parts”. So I had to buy a new refrigerator, and will never buy anything from Sears ever again. Completely worthless service.PS Whatever you do, never pay for Sears’ extended warranty service...I made this mistake once, paid $99/month and when my washer broke I had the same issue. No technicians available for 2 months. Non English speaking people on the phone. Disconnected multiple times (code for “hung up on by Sears employees”) Ended up fixing the washer myself, for the low low price of the $1200 I paid for the worthless warranty (which they keep renewing even when you tell them to cancel it). Total scam!

Our Sears/Kenmore washer/dryer set has been serving our family for almost 14 years now - even through years of 3 teenagers & all their friends! We always kept a service agreement on these hard working machines, so the routine maintenance every other year or so is probably why they worked this long. Now that parts are no longer available, we are looking forward to learning of the replacement settlement we will be offered by Sears - we need to start shopping for our next Kenmore appliance set.

5 year old Kenmore Refrigerator. Need new Compressor installed. Contacted Sears Repair on Sept. 3, 2020. Repair man came on Sept. 29th to diagnose refrigerator issue. Repair man unable to fix refrigerator on this date because my truck broke down 2 days ago and all my supplies are on that other truck Charged $95 for this visit to diagnosis. Repairman thru Sears can not get back to fix until Nov 3, 2020!!! All parts to fix refrigerator are covered under manufactures warranty and have been sitting here since October 5th. Sears you have poor customer service and extremely unprofessional when I call to check to see if I can get an earlier repair date. Will never purchase another appliance from Sears!

A repairman visited the day after I phoned for service. He called ahead of arrival and came as expected. He explained the need to order a part and plan to return within a week. Not only was the dishwasher repaired quickly, but the little black panel that attaches to the bottom of the washer was reattached, without my asking. It had been hanging by one screw for some time, so that made my day.

The repairman was excellent, personable and efficient. The work he did was quick and good and worth a high rating. This WOULD have been a 5-star review if the arrival time window I was given wasn’t so absurd...8 am to 5 pm. Some people work outside of the home, have to take off work, or totally rearrange their days to accommodate this foolishness. A three or four-hour window should be adequate to schedule, but nine-hours? Really? Even cable, telephone, and utility companies do not yank our time-chain this much any longer. Shame, Sears! Thanks for sending the email asking for my review. I am happy to share my frustration.

Had a fairly quick turn around with the repair call. Communication could have been better in that the repairman reached me by phone in the AM, but later communication of his coming our way came via an automated who told me to access his arrival time through me email. I didnt have email service where I was located at the time...so we were clueless as to when hed actually get there.

Tyler has been our Sears technician before for our yearly maintenance check of our washer/dryer. He has always been prompt, courteous, friendly, & professional at his job. He has given compliments on my personal care of the appliances and also some helpful hints & suggestions to insure cleanliness & performance. He leaves his shoes at the door, meets & greets us with a warm smile, and makes the experience an enjoyable one, for sure! Well done, Tyler!!

Technician sent out was fast and performed his duties well. All that was required was a blade change and to grease the front spindles. I also purchased at a discount an air filter and while the tech was installing the blade I slipped on the air filter. Very nice guy who has come out many times in the past and who is very friendly and extremely courteous.

Super expensive, but service man was pleasant. It would be nice if there were smaller windows rather than 8-12 pm, 1-5 pm, etc. Easy and convenient scheduling system. Ultimately, they fixed my dishwasher so... Mission Accomplished.

Frank was great. He was on time and knowledgeable about his work. He was very personable. He had the dryer problem diagnosed in short order and fixed with parts had had in his truck. It was a great experience and we would use Sears Appliance Repair again!

Tech seemed new. Didnt know how to shut off water to unit. I had to figure it out for him as he didnt set the gasket correctly when checking the inlet filter so it leaked. He didnt know how to correct this so I had to do it for him (reassemble the filter unit so it wouldnt continue to leak). Maybe he will improve, but didnt seem to know what he was doing for my maintenance call.

Appliance wasnt repairable. Technician was personable, but I didnt get to site in time to meet him face to face. Timing could have been done better as I was notified by your internal message service regarding technicians time where as if the technician could have called, I would have been able to go the 27 miles to the repair location.

Service was great. One suggestion: getting the part to be repaired in 1 or 2 days and having the repair completed sooner. I was without a dryer for 9 days.....very inconvenient.

The repair (replacement of the compressor) has to this point been successful. Both repairmen, the first to diagnose the issue and the second to complete the repair, were friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, Sears do not use their own repair men, at least not in our area and they contract with A&E and they came from MN to service our fridge in Wisconsin. We requested service on July 5th and the first available appointment to send someone out for the initial diagnosis was July 17th. The first appointment to replace the compressor was not until August 1st. We were fortunate to have an old refrigerator in our basement we could use while waiting for the repair to be completed. Again, the repairmen from A&E Factory Service were great, however to have to wait so long for someone to come and look at it and then wait again for the actual repair on fridge a little over four years old was very frustrating. We purchased all new Kenmore Elite appliances in 2013, including a $500 3-year extended warranty on each of them. Thank goodness it was the compressor which was covered by the manufacturer for 10 years. We did not have to pay for any of the visits, parts or labor. Also, we were unable to find a local repair service who would work on our Kenmore Elite because the compressor is made by LG and, as we were told by the small repair shops, a salesman at Best Buy and the A&E repairman, it is not profitable for local shops to carry the parts to repair appliances made with LG parts. Fingers crossed this new compressor does not fail anytime soon. Again, the repairmen were great. Its unfortunate they dont have more support and have to drive so fair to service customers.

Had to click on one star, but wanted to click on none. Really disappointed with maintenance service. The technician spent less than 10 minutes looking and feeling the equipment. He was going to walk away without checking the oil level. When I asked about the blades, he just put his hand under and touched one blade and said there was a chip, but didnt bother checking the other blades. In the future, please do not send this technician for maintenance service.

I cannot say enough for Mike, the service man who repaired my twenty year old wash machine. After a very brief description of the problem he immediately diagnosed it and within 30 minutes had it resolved. Excellent service, I highly recommend a raise!!!!!!!!!!

Service man was pleasant and in time but the job was done. He was called because the free and drain were clogged up. he said it was fixed but when I went to check the filter I found that the drainage hose did not work. I had to call again and the second person took it all apart and opened up the line.

The repair man called before coming. He was in and out within about 30 minutes. He was very friendly. Showed me what he was fixing and also put in a screen we needed. We had the extended warranty so we didnt pay for the $257 it cost to fix the washer.

The worst. No one local you can talk to--calls go to very inefficient call center somewhere. Repair guy failed to show up for scheduled appointment. Part took a week to arrive and then, when installed, didnt work--they sent us a reconditioned part for our apparently obsolete eight-year-old dishwasher. Fired repair guy on the spot. The big selling point for Sears appliances has always been quality service--apparently thats no longer the case. Not a good experience.

My refrigerator was not repaired. It was replaced, thus the service appointment was cancelled. The scheduled appointment to install a new compressor was to supposed to happen on October 24th--6 weeks after I contacted Sears needing repairs! It is unreasonable to expect the customer to wait that long for repairs. On the initial visit the technician diagnosed the problem; parts were ordered and an appointment scheduled to install 12 days later, but the parts ended up back ordered and when they finally came it was going to be another 3 weeks until the technician could come out to install. Totally unsatisfactory!

I have a question on my billing concerning the repairs that took place on 10-07-15. The repair person arrived on time, no problem. He walked into my work shop and saw the saw electrical plug was not pluged in. He pluged the plug in and the saw worked. He went back to his truck and filled out the invoice. He charged the $99.00 which I owe. How ever he also charge an additional $30.00 some dollars for just plugging the saw chord in. It took him about 10 minutes to walk to from his truck to the work shop plug in the chord and walk back to his truck.I would appreciate you giving me credit for the costs over the $99.00 charge. I disliked the billing amount. Thank you.Wayne

I own Sears yard tractor that had a 5 year bumper-bumper warranty. Was having problems with blades cutting grass unevenly. Called service and they scheduled an onsite repair. Tyler the technician was untime, fixed the problem and cleaned up very throughly. Have used this service several times and plan to renew the service contract for next year.

Technician told us if we cleaned our vents that will help our issue. Cleaned vents out and now the dryer doesnt dry anything unless we let it run for two hours. Tech told us it could be a timer issue if vent cleaning doesnt help but that doesnt explain why nothing dries anymore. Very unsatisfied.
