Had an issue with my account. The gentleman who helped me today, not sure of his name, was super helpful. He is always working out and also works there. He was super pleasant and provided plenty of help switching my planet fitness from Edison to East Brunswick. Again I am not sure if his name but he is definitely an asset to the company.
The best place when you just want to go to the gym and train well. Plenty of material, Nobody annoys you while training, everybody is kind... And last but not less important, great music! The only thing i can miss is olimpic bars with free weights... Other than that, great gym.
Not very crowded, plenty of cleaning supplies for the equipment. Saw the great majority of folks wiping down equipment after using it. Enjoyed my first time back to the gym!
I belonged to another gym and they were not adhering to the mandated mask policy. I checked out Planet Fitness and I was very pleased with mask wearing. I immediately joined and dropped my other gym membership. This gym is very clean with state of the art machines.
Dont waste your money here. They froze my account when the pandemic hit and then reopened and continued charging a debit card I no longer had. Racked up $250 in fees and sent it to collections without me knowing. Now they tell me nothing they can do unless I pay it. Take you business elsewere. Joke of a company.
Been going to this gym for a while but today there were kids that looked under the age of 13 in the gym. A group of boys running around and messing with the weighs and little girls making tik toks in the bathroom. No hate to the gym but that’s just unprofessional and in the guidelines it says no children under 13.
On June 30, I had been accused of laughing at a trainer and her clients. I literally just turned around and might have been smiling about something. She went crazy on me for some reason. I didnt do anything that she claimed. There was no need for her to accuse me of laughing at her clients, it was like she wanted to make her clients feel bad. She didnt even apologize for accusing me. I did nothing wrong. I mind my own business and work out and go home. The staff is normally friendly. But Mary the personal trainer is not, shes loud and obnoxious and very unprofessional. I did not want to cancel my membership but I did because I felt judged and very uncomfortable if I had to see her again. I dont recommend going to this gym unless she is let go. Do better Planet Fitness.
I started my online enrollment based on one time, monthly and yearly membership price. Once I put my personal information and provided to next page one time price got changed drastically including monthly and yearly payments..try to making customers fool. Staff is friendly .. equipment clean and always maintained.I usually go around 6am so its not crowded.
Most confusing planet fitness Ive been to. Maybe Florida is just different but I didnt understand all the different room. Didnt know if I had permission to even be in them. A lot of machines missing too that Im not used to. Will change my review once I have a better understanding.
They charged me a cancellation fee. Very difficult to track down a manager. They do not return calls. Staff is not very friendly or helpful. They ask for your checking account info and a credit card etc. You can not start a membership with a credit card only. I never got any credit for the time they were billing me back when covid started. Worst Gym in the area.

I absolutely love this gym. All of the machines are in perfect condition and the facility is very clean. I left another gym in East Brunswick back in January due the the uncleanliness of that facility. After joining this gym I know I made a great choice. I feel like I have access to more amenities than any gym I have ever been in a contract with for such a great price without any hidden fees. The staff is always friendly and helpful whenever I have spoken to anyone. I am so glad this location has opened back up as I have missed going in for my daily workouts. I highly recommend this gym!
Clean facility but find the atmosphere uncomfortable at times do to the coldness, loud music and god awful tv chanels to choose from. but your taste may e different. Hello to reply to your respone. you suggest I bring my own entertainment surly I can but there are 10 tvs that are there for the same purpose. to let you know there are 5 sports channels 2 channels of stock reports around the clock. I am speaking for more then myself its a constant complaint from members in the east brunswick facility. its not the biggest problem in anyones day I am sure but wanting to let you know this situation if you care to address it. currently the remote is locked in the safe so other staff cant accomidate when members ask for a different channel. perhaps thats protocol. I do like the manager (daniel) as well my being a member. thanks for reading and I promise I wont reach out again no mater what the outcome of this is.

I signed up for what I thought was a Full Access Membership only to learn it was the Basic. After trying to roll over the Membership Fee to UPGRADE... I was told by the Manager Daniel that I would have to forfeit the Membership Fee because it was paid in full & there was no way to upgrade. I spoke w Assistant Manager Amanda who tho she was nice enough couldn’t give me the number for Headquarters. I finally got that number from another franchise and Headquarters does NOT ANSWER ... so no resolve there. The Ad was misleading but this Customer was certainly taken for a ride. At this point the Membership hasn’t even been used! So so disappointed. I also found out they’re not even Accredited through the Better Business Bureau! Buyer Beware!! No matter what they respond.... it’s a total loss here!
I am so happy I joined and left my old gym. It is so clean and the hours are great. The staff is so friendly. I have been there five minutes before they close and they never make you feel rushed.
The worst place ever!They dont answer the phone to verify whether they opened or closed during pandemic, but they keep charging monthly. To cancel membership you have to go to home club in person to fill out a cancellation form. Really? You are more than welcome to sign up online, but to cancel you have to visit in person. Is it a joke or fraud?

I was at Planet Fitness in East Brunswick for only one day. I saw the manager (she is tall with blonde hair - works Sat morning) in Victoria Secret and she was in front of me in line. I said Oh you are from Planet Fitness. I just started there a day ago. She barely acknowledged me and turned her head talking to her friend putting the phone in her friends face playing little child-like games that some young people play. First of all when you are out in public, you represent whatever company you work for when wearing their shirt. I just came from Jersey Strong gym where the people that work there are definitely more professional and customer focused. I would go back to Jersey Strong but I am very friendly with the owners of the Thai Restaurant next door. When you are in public, you never know when you can get a customer for your business or lose a customer and you never ever know who someone is. Any company I have ever worked for I always feel I represented no matter what position I am in. Please train this woman.

A friend of mine used to work here. Employees will talk behind your back, dont actually clean the machines but they act like they do. The manager, misforms people and is rude to customers on a daily basis. They do not do mask checks and the solution they use is highly watered down but they dont tell their customers that! So if youre going to spend your money going to a gym, sometimes paying a little bit more is worth it especially if theyre going to water down cleaning solution during a world-wide pandemic.
Decent place, the business model is a little off. Mandated monthly reoccurring payment doesn’t sit the best with me. But putting that aside, because that’s how all gyms are unfortunately run; I went in today to finally get back into working out & wore a mask obviously. But, apparently that mask wasn’t enough. It needed to be cloth mask. Fair, the company mandated that policy. So I asked if they give them away. “No, but we sell them.” I’m sure they do. If a company wants to mandate a policy, they should supply material at no additional cost. Or at least issue one free per person so I’m not inconvenienced on the day of. Just food for thought. That’s the difference between a business that caters to the customer VS. company overhead. Needless to say I’m going to cancel until this COVID mess is over.

I called the gym asking to speak with a manager. As soon as she got on the phone, she was rude right off the bat. I asked about getting a refund since I was charged and was never notified that they would charging their members again since reopening. She was so nasty to me and said that emails were sent out. She also clearly stated that many members kept complaining that they never received emails but yet did nothing about it.

Mostly I do not leave reviews or feedback, if there will be a -Ve rating stars system then I will give out -Ve 5 stars to this club.We just moved in the area and our old location is out of way, so we just started going into East Brunswick Planet. we encountered a worse experience of our life, today when we were at the counter, I presented my phone for scanning, and then I asked the receptionist let my wife come as a guest, and she started giving her phone no to the person, suddenly the man abrupted and said she is rude, even she did not say anything to him, then I asked him how she is rude, she even did not speak out a single word to you, then he said to me, I am mean, and also he said that when we were there last time, we were rude and mean on that time too.we requested to talk with a store manager, then he gave us a business card, when I tried calling the store manager, that was the store phone no and manager was not around, so I will call manager tomorrow.He pushed us out and asked us we may leave the club now. I never had this kind of humiliation entire my life, we are our mid 50, and parents of same age children the man on the counter.My wife is very nice person and working as a public educator, she was really upset about this encounter, we will never go back to this club again, and we may cut our membership altogether from Planet, Low membership does not mean, people should be disrespectful to you. We had 10 years membership Retro and never had this kind of customer service ever.
Very helpful and friendly staff. The staff work extra miles for their customers. Shone treat me very kind, patience and explain all the information about gym very well. He should get employee of the month. Kiki, Daniel and other staff are very nice, kind and very helpful. This Planet fitness is far much better that my old gym and other gyms.
Couldnt wait for this location to open and they did not disappoint!! Updated equipment, great layout and amazing staff!! Morenike, who is actually night manager at the North Brunswick, was there helping open the East Brunswick location. She was so extremely helpful showing me around, explaining new equipment and made me feel extremely welcome! I highly recommend both the East Brunswick and North Brunswick locations!!
I was a member before the pandemic and when they closed for 6 months wasn’t expecting to be charge the annual fee until they had been back open for the total years term. Went in to see if they could do something about out it only to find out I was talking to a tape recorder(the manager) “it’s an annual fee”. Well to me that sounds like the service should be available for more than half of the time in between the fees. I don’t know about you guys but it’s frustrating feeling like they are open during a pandemic just to collect annual and monthly fees from people who couldn’t even go use there services.
Although I had to cancel my membership today due to my own financial reasons, I love this gym because of how spacious and clean it is. When I had to cancel my gym membership today the general manager made it so easy and was extremely kind. I hope to join Planet Fitness again one day
Transferred over from a Monmouth county PF and Im quite satisfied. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They are eager to help me with any questions I might have. Facility is very clean and they are constantly keeping up top of things. My only two suggestions would be putting paper towels in the bathroom since its impossible to dry face after washing. My second suggestion is out of frustration. Treadmills automatically shut of at 30 minutes. Staff has informed me the machines are programmed to do that. Personally I find it frustrating they shut-ff and wish they would reprogram them.Overall this is a very nice facility, thats kept very clean, great hours, with a very helpful, and nice, staff.

By far, this Planet Fitness is the nicest facility that I’ve worked out at. Not only is it clean and new, but the staff are all so friendly. I don’t expect anyone to roll out a red carpet for me when I go to workout, however they are attentive enough to refer to me by name (so not expected) and go out of their way to say hello and goodbye.The simple things are what set this place aside! 😁
Started coming here a month ago since its closer to home than the North Brunswick PF. Reading some of the one star reviews and all I can say is people are bizarre. Im here 5-6 days a week and Ive never experienced or seen others experience intimidation or lack of customer service? Clean facilities, new machines, friendly staff...its a great gym for any fitness level. I mentioned an issue with one of the smith machines and the next night I came back and it was already repaired
They confiscated my jug of water, worst gym I have ever been to. DO NOT COME HERE. Most unprofessional staff and rules of a gym I have ever been to. It’s not worth the money, go join LA Fitness it’s right down the street and is a million times better
Worked out here after 11:00 pm New Years Day. Overheard customer at the counter asking why there were no paper towels in the mens locker room. Worker behind the front counter was on a personal phone call and was annoyed he had to help the customer. He was downright lazy and rude to the customer. Another worker with a cane was cleaning the machines and he came over to assist the customer. Worker with the cane was very helpful but the other guy really should be talked to by management.
New Gym equipment is very nice and spacious but its hard to do any work out you must only work out quietlyif you put a dumbbells on the floor and it might make the slightest noise you get warnedso i would not recommend this PF to anyoneTo answer the managerYes my concern is other PF do not manage their facilities the way you do . I just walked in to the gym today with my coworker and couldn’t be any more disappointed with the GM Kevin. He was extremely rube and it was very disappointing being that I have recommended many people to sign up for the new plant fitness in EB. Me and my friend are both classic members only for the reason that we want to try out the facility before we upgrade. EB PF is my home and Edison PF is my friends home. We understand that there is a $5 fee if you go to a PF that is not your home base. However, being that EB is new and people are going to want to try out the facility before upgrading right away. We wanted to talk with the GM to see if he would allow her to slide being that we just walked over from work with no money on us. Well Kevin comes out and right away try’s to intimidate me and my friend. He tried to make us feel bad for even asking by telling us we shouldn’t go anywhere without bringing money. He stares with absolutely no expression on his face as if he wants to scare off his customers. I told him I’m not recommending anymore People toJoin the gym and he right away gave me a face like he didn’t care. I’m sorry but, Kevin is the most unprofessional human being to run any facility. I was suppose to get my first month membership free but that never happened and I told them to not worry about but a Lousy $5 this GM is crying about. His attitude made me not even want to Work out there. Crunch is opening up right down the street I will have to transfer my membership there. I can see if my friend comes everyday asking for a free pass but, this is the very first time. Not very good judgment on his part Rules are rules I get it but,Accommodations can be made to build customer satisfaction and good reviews. He made me feel like I don’t even want to work out anymore at PF that’s all I have to say.

Pretty disappointed in the way this place is run, bad service compared to numerous other locations I’ve visited. I initially had a bad experience with a worker the within the first few weeks of opening, I understand your policy is no bags in the gym floor but it was 12am and the only other member was on the opposite side of the gym... to interrupt me about having my bag with me during those kind of hours with no one around was very off putting so I went out of my way for a while to farther locations. I then gave the East Brunswick location a second chance and was told after 10 visits as a black card member I have to pay $5 per visit. I was never explained this during sign up, nor did I see this on the website when I was doing my research before signing up with planet fitness. It seems this is consistent with the service at East Brunswick in the short time it’s been open as other reviews also point to other locations not giving a hassle. To top it off, the worker told me I was being ripped off by Edison and that all other locations are doing it wrong. This location has made me lose interest in my membership with planet fitness any longer, I will seek out and go out of my way for another 24 hour service gym. I hope district management takes note of these reviews to get this location on par with the atmosphere of other planet fitness locations. The facility has great potential, but what a let down and very disappointed.

Being a brand new gym there should be better accommodations made to new customers walking in. Your GM Kevin made me and my friend very uncomfortable. I don’t even want to go back. My friend was going to upgrade to a black card membership but, after speaking today with Kevin she has second thoughts. He was so unprofessional spoke to us like we were children or maybe he was sexist. He was the most unprofessional non accommodating manager I have ever encountered. I will never recommend a single person to the East Brunswick planet fitness as long as Kevin is the GM. He tried to intimidate us so bad over $5 telling us why do we go places with no money and that we shouldn’t do that. I’m so disappointed as a new member to the EB Location. I’m so surprised as planet fitness is suppose to be judgment free zone but all he was doing was making me and my coworker feel less than him.

The gym is well set up, but with rules that I think are not for a place where activities are practiced physical many rules and a lot of freshness I think they are confusing with a hospital or a library. 👎🏾
Its alright. The machines are awkward as hell to me. Seems like the grip set-up on all of them makes no sense.
