I was told they would work with us since we all had the covid and missed two months of work but they havent set up a payment arrangement or nothing when I have asked them so everytime we pay we get another bill which feels like we never get caught up. We were told we were only paying $85 but we been getting bills for $100. They dont care about helping there customers like they saidWhen you call it says on recording let us know if you have had covid and struggling to pay. Also its always false information when someone comes to fix the router or anything but this is only service i can get in my area. But i will be changing services when i can find new one.
Started out good. Just keeps getting worse. Can’t even run my clock. I have to turn off WiFi to download something or send a pic. If they can’t get it together. Will start looking for other providers. Don’t ask me for more information. You know there’s something wrong.
Great place to work! Great internet!
The internet is good, if you wanna pay two times or more than Services you can get in town. But, if you live in a rural area, this is about all you can get. Definitely overpriced though. My router said I was pulling 70 mb download speeds, but I can only get 25 max because Im not paying more than $85 for it.
I guess its better to have some internet than no internet right...My only complaint is they upgrade areas but not all other areas. theyre more driven to open up new areas then fix the ones they already have and Im stuck with their lowest package.
I called IT today due to internet not work since late last night and was told the new “upgraded” equipment has been failing hundreds of customers and it would be 11 days before a tech could come fix their equipment that has failed in less than three weeks after being installed. This is ridiculous and pathetic service from an internet company. I will be switching providers.
Signal constantly comes and goes… they bought out Pixius and sent a letter saying they would be updating equipment and coverage, yet almost two years later, I’m still using the Pixius stuff, with inconsistent success.
This is our only option for internet without mounting a dish. Their customer support staff has always been fair and responsive. I only have 2 minor complaints. 1. Our service does drop for very short periods of time frequently, the drops are very short and generally resolve themselves fairly quickly. 2. Pricing, I believe the price for the upload/download speeds are a bit on the high side compared to other providers Ive had in the past. Overall though, I believe the staff at Wisper is genuine and have always tried to deliver quality support.
All I can say is Wow... Wow what junk. I am paying for 50Mbps and they can’t give me the speeds I’m paying for so they tell me the solution to the problem is to downgrade to there 20Mbps package. That way they can better trouble shoot the problem. And the can’t even give me 20Mbs now when I’m paying for 50. I get 2Mbps to 28Mbps
Good at times, but remarkably inconsistent.
Over 10 minutes to get food in drive thru, 5 minutes of that was at the window after I paid. Was in line so long person taking orders asked me twice if I had been helped after I ordered. Oh yeah that ten minutes was after I ordered doesnt count time waiting to place my order.
I havent had a problem with them in over a year. So far so good.
Waste of money. Never works. If u wanna pay for something that is down all the time and never get the speed you pay for this is the company. I had them over 2 years cause never had a choice only company in my area. But now there is a new company so Im done with this company .
At first Wisper worked great, just a couple of problems. But now, problems everyday. I have to reset at least once a day and sometimes more. Im getting tired of it not working. Thinking about changing my service.
Inferior technology, LoS microwave transmitters... this competes with DSL or satellite Internet service, not with cable or fiber service. Think 10/15 to 25 down, 5 up, for $100 a month. Excellent customer service representative though, nice folks.
I recently switched over from Viasat to Wisper. Wisper has delivered on everything they said over the phone! I have great service, it’s not as expensive as other companies, I don’t ever experience outages, the customer service is excellent, and the technicians that they send out are very helpful, respectful, knowledgeable of their job, and overall really cool. If you need good internet and they can service you, I highly recommend getting them over satellite!
The guys from Whisper came over last week, Got us up and running here at THE MANOR for our upcoming HALLOWEEN HAUNT SEASON!!! These guys were quick with the install, taking care of all our needs. They were easy to work with and extremely helpful. They got our LIGHTNING FAST WIFI up and running. and their follow up calls were very much appreciated. TOP NOTCH GUYS!!! We are happy to be neighbors with such a great company!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
Paying for a plan and not getting the speeds specified. When I call to inquire as to why the speeds are slow there is either an outage or there was an outage and now they are monitoring Ive even tried to upgrade plans but it seems that whomever Im on the phone with doesnt want me to. Like its too much work. The staff Ive talked to are usually very nice just dont know what to do. I use this because its my only option in my area besides an even worse company. Ive left emails and voicemails and nothing gets fixed.
Absolutely horrible. We paid 99.99 a month for the last 6 months. We can’t run a single smart tv and watch Netflix.
My router barely ever connects properly
Terrible customer service, terrible follow up. not for sure how they plan to expand the market they are in if they do not want to sell you a service. no one responds to emails, and if you are lucking to get a person they can not help you. you are a the mercy of the rep assigned to you
Had service previously and wanted it again. Manager in Southwest MO done a survey and found out couldnt get signal where the dish was before so went to different spot in the yard and decided to go across the driveway and said we needed a trench to bury the cable and told me to give him a call when we were ready for services. I called him to get a survey of another part of the yard and now he wont answer. I tried calling the dispatcher and left messages with no answer or return call. Im sick of them saying they will help out. Maybe after they see this and call me I might change this review.
This is the trashiest internet ever
I love Wisper! Great service, fast speeds and response times. Tech team is very knowledgeable and thankful evening and weekend tech support.
Great speeds and customer service.
TLDR: $99 a month is way over priced for 25mbsI dont normally do this. But after looking threw the website and after reading the reviews I needed to give my thoughts. I cant speak to the service as a whole but after looking at the pricing and the speeds there is no way i could ever recommend this service to anyone unless you have no other option. They are asking $99 for only 25mbs download and 5mbs upload. In this day and age that is insulting. For the same price i get 300mbs down with 50mbs up. Even though i hate my provider there is no way i could ever cut down that much. For anyone that maybe doesnt understand how internet speeds work 25mbs download speeds would be like trying to watter your lawn with an eye dropper. That said if all you plan to use the internet for is e-mail and maybe the occasional word document the speeds they are offering a next to useless.
We are getting ready to move in 2 weeks and have left several messages and sent emails in an attempt to set up a service appointment, no response. I bet we will hear from them when we find a new provider and leave an unpaid bill for service at our old residence.
Loved my old internet service till Wisper bought them out. Nice people but CRUMMY !!! Internet.
Had trouble setting up. They canceled the first time day of because of setting up a new tower, had issues installing the second time and said they couldnt do it. A manager came out a third time and got it working himself. I admire their persistence.
Wisper bought out Video Direct in our area. Since then my service has been out more than once each month compared to Video Direct when it would only happen twice a year. What I dont understand is on a beautiful clear day the signal on my dish is at 3-4 bars and Ill have the worst latency or no service for over a day or two. This has been consistently going on since wisper took over.... Video Direct I miss you, please come back
Service is extremely slow! Outages constantly! Definitely not worth what you pay for!
Great service and very friendly staff!
$59.99 a month for a speed that’s 1/5th if what I currently have for the same price 🤔. Hard pass here.
We first got Whisper about 3 yrs ago. They told us from where we live there was a tower less than a mile away and should have great service! And we did till recently. Our internet connection slowed way down. Couldnt do anything on the net. We called and they sent out a tech to move the dish around in case the wind had moved it. He came and went said nothing to us. But the problem was still there. We called back and they tell us all of a sudden we are at a poor reception spot and theres nothing they can do unless we want to pay to have a pole put up. For what we never needed one before. They werent the nicest people to deal with either. Do if I could give halfa star I would!!
I am very happy with their amazing customer service.
Customer Service sucks! Very unprofessional and unresponsive!
If its your only option, go for it. They use radios to get internet to your house. Installation is expensive ($200) plus first month of service if you dont sign a contract! Seems to go down during thunderstorms often. Down time is too much for the price.(my opinion) Its not a perfect system but it is always getting better. Tech support has good hours now compared to 3 years ago!! They are helpful. Good latency (40-60 milliseconds) and steady speeds. If it is your only alternative to satellite then I say go for it.
Our location was very iffy whether internet would work here. Thankfully, we came across wisper from a small advertisment along the road just before we purchased. We called them, they came out and stated we were in range of the tower, but it was close. We have temporary issues, just like every other internet service provider, but Id say 99.9% of the time, no problem. If theres bad weather, whats an internet provider to do, control the weather? I think not. We are super pleased with our service for 5 years now.
Performance lackluster. They do try to help with tech support, but it seems like they just do not have enough bandwidth for our locale.Better than dial-up. :-(
Customer service is excellent. Too bad the internet isnt as good.
Had a lightning strike over a week ago have made multiple phone calls just to be put on hold and then informed to leave a message. Did have one individual call back bur have yet to be able to communicate with someone to set up a time for someone to come out and correct the problem. i.e. repair or replace...not impressedwith the customer service.
Been with wisper for a few years now. Ive only had my internet go out 1 time in about 13 months. Speeds are what Im paying for, and Ive rarely had a problem that wasnt addressed and fixed on the same day.
I am very impressed with the service and support I have recieved from this Internet service provider and I recommend them highly.
I previously complained about them, but they heard my complaints and sent a crew out to personally check out service and find out what was going on. They fixed it and we are very appreciative. Thank you to them!
Is it common practice to have to unplug the router every 3-12 minutes cuz the internet all of sudden decides to stop working? I pay $110 and some change a month for this? I don’t have many options but the internet is something me and my family will have to learn to go without if this is how it’s gonna be. We’re having to use our Cell phones as hot spots..go ahead and cancel my service cuz I’m not giving you another payment.
Whisper bought out our previous provider. Then stated they would be making upgrades. We went from having a great fast internet provider that we only have trouble with once, which was quickly corrected, to Whisper whose upgrades haves made our service about as good as Dial up. Along with that we have had plenty of outages and when we connect Whisper we can expect 2 things. 1st. Put on hold until they close and call is cut off with no return call and 2nd once we finally did get tech support to help were greeted by a Whisper repairman who had no clue what to do. It says your getting signal but its not doing anything. I miss Rural Net
Great internet service an customer service us awesome!!
Completely unreliable. I call in all the time for outages and speed issues, they usually tell me Nothing is wrong, or the famous theres nothing we can do, your service is working just fine answer. Whisper, you are damn lucky you are the only one out here to provide internet because your product is very substandard for your asking price. Now sitting with no internet, again...but Im sure that bill will still make it here on time!
Only times i have problems with this IPS is the weather or when they are working on the network other then that i get what i pay for and cant expect much more from where i live in the sticks. and Cody blaser goes out of his way to help the customers Review by: justin Arrowood, Jason Dornan
Wisper is the absolute worst internet provider. Stouffer sold out to Wisper in the Southwest MO area, and since then service has been total garbage. They are constantly having outages and Ive had to have someone out to repair twice in the last month...but Ive had to wait a week each time in order to get a tech out. Not to mention, when you call in to report an outage, the guys answering are extremely rude. My husband is done with Wisper. We are cancelling Wisper today and buying a hotspot. Its cheaper and has better reviews than Wisper ever will.
Good price and service
They were great out of miami I paid for a 12 meg connection . I got a 12 meg connection . Then they sold out to wisper now I have a 6 meg connection some times . They changed my contract to 6 to 12 meg guess they need to cover there butts . Im not frustrated ! I feel cheated half the service for the same price dont think they would appreciate half payment . They just made a new contract and signed my name to it . horrible predatory company do not use them! when I went to change internet service said my contract wasnt up I started in October of 2015 had my service moved to the new house in 2016 they fake they contract to give me half service full price predatory do not use this company!
This company needs to learn how to fix internet towers because my internet keeps going in and out because the maintenance people dont know how to fix the towers. Definitely going to switch to a better company that knows what to do.
Worst Internet Ive ever had. I had 100 mbs thru cable 1 I move out to Wyandotte ok and BARELY get 10 mbs. The Internet company they bought out was a million times better. Want to stream something or play a game online good luck keeping a stable connection. If a fly even so much looks funny at our reciever it goes out for a long time. I thought companies werent allowed to have monopolies but guess not. Trust me buy a pay as you go work if theyre the only provider in your area. Hell bunny ears and aluminum foil would work better then this P.O.S.
I am no genius, but when it comes to working with internet issues, Im not an idiot. Wisper Internet is, without a doubt, the worst internet company I have ever dealt with. They bought out a company called RuraliNet (who had been providing flawless internet for a long time) in my area and the internet was out for over a month after they purchased. OVER A MONTH. There have been CONSTANT issues ever since. I have called repeatedly and on the off-chance that someone actually answers the phone, they usually tell me that everything will be fine. Well, its not. I called to speak with a supervisor and I was assured by three different people that this supervisor would call me within the next two hours. He never called. I finally had to be on hold for forever before someone finally answered to tell me that the supervisor was gone for the next week. I work from home. I work in online marketing. I have to be able to have internet access. I dont have access to any other internet company other than Wisper so I guess they have decided that Im stuck if I want internet. They have come five different times to my location and have still not managed to fix the issues. The internet has been down 5 out of the last 7 days at the house, but not one frigging person will answer the phones to find out what the issue is. I will not only never recommend Wisper to anyone, but I will, for as long as I can, HIGHLY advise against using them. I cannot imagine dealing with a worse company.
Not very good internet always goes out
Great customer service, however I do not appreciate being told that our location can be serviced and that we can schedule an installation, then when they come to do the installation, after I took a whole day off work just to be let down and told that they cannot actually service us.
Internet speed is absolutely horrible for the amount of money they want me to spend on 20 mbs... $95 a month! $95 a month for service that is unreliable at best. It is the absolute worst I have ever had, and that includes dial up from the 90s. Unfortunately, everything goes through the Internet these days and where I live, Wisper is the only choice available if I want my own Internet line.I was told when I first got Wisper that I would be able to do everything I wanted to do with the internet. That was a lie... Wisper technicians came to my house 4 times in the first month after installation, to try and fix the problems I am having, and the problems still exist: constant interuptions, lack of speed to do what I want to do with the internet, technicians passing the buck and blaming other things such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO now, instead of saying, we understand that OUR Internet speed sucks, and isnt fast enough for anything I want the Internet for.I signed a 2 year contract to get the best speed they had, 20 mbs, because they are my only option where I live, but rest assured, as soon as I get another option, Im done with Wisper, bc anything is better then they are. The techs on the phone treat you as though you are stupid and incapable of understanding how Internet works. Before I moved here, I had 150 mbs fiber optic Internet speed, and regret deeply my choice to move and give that up for this almost worthless excuse for an ISP. Please dear god, please have Cable one, or Mediacom, or ATT put more lines out here so I dont have to use Wisper anymore.
Whisper why do you cut off my internet after hours on friday?!?! I cant even pay until Monday thats terrible!!
15 minutes to leave message. You moved tower no warnings updates nothing. Even before that it would go down several times a week.
14 day wait for a repair appointment. Is this real life? Need proof America’s infrastructure is crumbling? Here’s your sign. PS they pay their TECHNICIANS $15 an hour.
Horrible service! I wish I had other options!
Very unreliable, the internet went out in a flood and couldnt get it back up for two weeks and when they got it back up we didnt even have it for one week and went out in another storm, probably one of the worst providers.
Have to reboot the router often
Nothing worse than this
It doesnt more in this address
